00:19 --> 00:33 [SPEAKER_03]: Hey folks, as Stephen I are still in between official seasons of properly-powered New Year review, we continue our coverage of 9-7 kingdoms today we offer our knee-jerk reactions of Episode 4 of Season 1, simply titled 7.
00:34 --> 00:37 [SPEAKER_03]: Joining us today is David from the Lorentz.
00:38 --> 00:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Steve, were you disappointed?
00:40 --> 00:43 [SPEAKER_01]: They tease you today, with just a fart.
00:44 --> 00:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it was a little late.
00:46 --> 00:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, late in the episode, right?
00:48 --> 00:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I'm like, okay, all right, glad to keep it up.
00:50 --> 00:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Keep it up the Farts and the Poops.
00:52 --> 00:54 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it was quite a fart.
00:55 --> 00:56 [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it had layers.
00:57 --> 00:58 [SPEAKER_03]: It was an arena fart.
01:00 --> 01:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Did it work on you guys?
01:03 --> 01:04 [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh, who's this dude?
01:05 --> 01:06 [SPEAKER_01]: He's huge.
01:07 --> 01:11 [SPEAKER_03]: And it like, it did not because, you know, you know, it's going to happen.
01:12 --> 01:13 [SPEAKER_01]: I had no idea.
01:13 --> 01:15 [SPEAKER_01]: I thought they were introducing a new character.
01:15 --> 01:16 [SPEAKER_03]: No, well, it was, I was down.
01:17 --> 01:23 [SPEAKER_03]: But basically, the musical cues, you know, the musical cues suggested as the music swelled.
01:23 --> 01:26 [SPEAKER_03]: that a champion is going to enter and save the day.
01:26 --> 01:28 [SPEAKER_01]: They cannot take our freedom!
01:28 --> 01:29 [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
01:29 --> 01:34 [SPEAKER_03]: And they did it, but they couldn't help themselves, they...
01:34 --> 02:00 [SPEAKER_02]: They needed a moment, yeah, and I will say in another wise thrilling episode, it sort of undercuts the next moment, because it's like, oh, now eggs looking up again in awe as somebody is entering, you know, and it's like, I don't know, it's you were waiting for Baylor break spirit to let an even juice here fart at that just more farts like it's a rule of three guys if we're going to do this.
02:01 --> 02:06 [SPEAKER_02]: you know, like, I mean, it's just got to like, I mean, it give me a queen for something.
02:06 --> 02:10 [SPEAKER_03]: But the washer women are farting, the blacksmiths are farting.
02:11 --> 02:14 [SPEAKER_01]: In some parallel universe, there's a, a money Python version of this.
02:14 --> 02:15 [SPEAKER_02]: That.
02:15 --> 02:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
02:15 --> 02:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, every once in a while, they're like, they, they call in Mel Brooks.
02:17 --> 02:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Could you just give us 30 seconds?
02:22 --> 02:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Have you watched the new documentary, The Melmo Brooks Documentary?
02:24 --> 02:26 [SPEAKER_03]: I did, it was fantastic.
02:26 --> 02:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Is it good?
02:26 --> 02:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's floating in my Algo and I just haven't grown.
02:29 --> 02:32 [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's a lot of, isn't Mill Brooks great.
02:32 --> 02:33 [SPEAKER_03]: And there's certainly a lot of that.
02:34 --> 02:37 [SPEAKER_03]: But there was a lot, I did not know.
02:37 --> 02:57 [SPEAKER_03]: you know he's ninety nine years old you didn't know he was great there's a few a few moments where i was like oh is he great oh he is fantastic and there's so many of these biopics right now it's like oh we're in a generational transition so everybody's trying to get their legacies in before they they kick it so this episode simply titled
02:57 --> 02:58 [SPEAKER_03]: 7.
02:58 --> 03:02 [SPEAKER_03]: I think that this was the episode that finally hooked Sarah.
03:02 --> 03:03 [SPEAKER_03]: I think she she was all in.
03:03 --> 03:22 [SPEAKER_03]: She was like that was the best one and You know, we were talking a little bit about the the musical manipulation that happens and I did note that they they reserved the full Throated Game of Thrones score for the end of this episode
03:22 --> 03:26 [SPEAKER_03]: And it, it had all of the, you know, it did what it needed to do.
03:26 --> 03:31 [SPEAKER_03]: It, it absolutely made me feel all the feelings and I appreciate it.
03:32 --> 03:43 [SPEAKER_01]: There's a cleverness of construction, the way that they're folding this piece of origami is really clever.
03:43 --> 03:53 [SPEAKER_01]: little editing cuts like seeing a penny tree as dunk is looking up and he's just kind of, oh, you know, that little look, this shrug.
03:53 --> 03:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the shrug and then we cut back.
03:56 --> 04:04 [SPEAKER_01]: The way that they jump or they jump to, I apologize if I forget the puppeteer's name starts with a T. Tanzel.
04:05 --> 04:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Tanzel, yeah.
04:06 --> 04:08 [SPEAKER_01]: There was a cut back to that.
04:09 --> 04:16 [SPEAKER_01]: And then just the way they're introducing characters, the way that they're using musical cues, the way they're using the revolved humor.
04:17 --> 04:19 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm mixing it with these lofty values.
04:19 --> 04:38 [SPEAKER_01]: There's just a, the people that have constructed the show understand television and serialized storytelling and they're folding this little piece of origami that is so simple on the outside, but then when it starts to unfold,
04:38 --> 04:48 [SPEAKER_01]: you can start to appreciate the level of detail and thought that they've put into the construction.
04:48 --> 04:51 [SPEAKER_01]: of this story and then putting this story on screen.
04:51 --> 04:57 [SPEAKER_03]: I think clever is the perfect word here, because I feel like it's almost their guiding star.
04:58 --> 05:00 [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, okay, we're gonna, are we gonna be gross?
05:00 --> 05:09 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but make sure it's clever, you know, we're gonna be profound, or we're gonna make people, you know, feel, you know, injustice, and then, you know, give them catharsis.
05:09 --> 05:12 [SPEAKER_03]: Well, sure we'll do that as long as it's clever.
05:12 --> 05:14 [SPEAKER_03]: It's almost like clever is the bottom line.
05:14 --> 05:16 [SPEAKER_03]: And,
05:16 --> 05:27 [SPEAKER_03]: I think that they've done pretty, they've had a couple misfires, I think, but I think that for the most part, you're right, it's been a pretty clever little show.
05:27 --> 05:33 [SPEAKER_01]: And Lisa reception that I'm seeing on our discord is that this is the one where people are really standing up.
05:33 --> 05:37 [SPEAKER_01]: And like, wow, that was a great episode.
05:37 --> 05:38 [SPEAKER_01]: and really enjoying it.
05:39 --> 05:48 [SPEAKER_01]: And I, you know, to mix in this sort of seven Samurai magnificent seven aspect to it, really great.
05:49 --> 05:50 [SPEAKER_01]: A lot all these little twists.
05:50 --> 05:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
05:51 --> 05:57 [SPEAKER_01]: The state of House Targaryen yet again is in serious jeopardy because of some shit kid.
05:58 --> 05:59 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
05:59 --> 06:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Right, who who's messing with the very nature of the Targaryen rule because he's just being a jerk.
06:07 --> 06:10 [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, it's so perfect in so many ways.
06:10 --> 06:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Except for maybe a woods witch, but that's your cross to carry.
06:15 --> 06:17 [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, that's true.
06:17 --> 06:19 [SPEAKER_03]: What was your feeling about this, Steve?
06:21 --> 06:33 [SPEAKER_02]: This one, yeah, this just feels like this is, now it's Game of Thrones, again, maybe, like I said, with the use of the music and all that, I get really felt like we know we're in West Rose, but now we're in West Rose.
06:33 --> 06:34 [SPEAKER_02]: And,
06:35 --> 06:41 [SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, like you said, the manipulations the way that the show is constructed.
06:41 --> 06:48 [SPEAKER_02]: It was a little curious how the book or the, you know, the, these little novellas, they read, they read different, right?
06:49 --> 06:59 [SPEAKER_02]: And I, my early, you know, caution on the first episode was again, it's like, what, what is the tone that this is going to, to seek?
06:59 --> 07:01 [SPEAKER_02]: And they've done kind of a little bit of a magic trick.
07:01 --> 07:05 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think clever is a very good way to put it in the sense that like they really
07:05 --> 07:18 [SPEAKER_02]: have taken these little smaller bites of Westoros that we've then will request them to one sort of narrative that's kind of simply going through or not we're not now going to this other part of the realm.
07:18 --> 07:20 [SPEAKER_02]: It's just keeping this straightforward.
07:20 --> 07:35 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's done enough tone shifting in such a natural way that like, while this episode's not nearly as fun as maybe what we've had in previous because the stakes are higher,
07:36 --> 07:37 [SPEAKER_02]: We don't lose the characters in that.
07:37 --> 07:40 [SPEAKER_02]: They're not coming of age too fast, right?
07:40 --> 07:45 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this feels like a natural progression for these characters.
07:45 --> 07:57 [SPEAKER_02]: And I really do like how, yes, the big reveal, the last episode, it couldn't be a part of the last podcast, but you know, you get our big reveal with egg.
07:58 --> 08:02 [SPEAKER_02]: But they're still holding very well to the, is he a knight?
08:02 --> 08:31 [SPEAKER_02]: And I like that, and I like that it's the opportunities to bring that question up or like they're done in a way that's, you know, I wouldn't say subtle because it's kind of clear what's happening, but at the same time, it's like it keeps that little bit of mystery about it and how that becomes, because that's really, like for me, that's this is the story, right, like whole concept of, you know, what makes a night and, you know, who gets to say and, and, oh, you could just, oh, quick, night them because we need another,
08:31 --> 08:33 [SPEAKER_02]: We didn't have another guy, you know?
08:33 --> 08:47 [SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, it does, so in that sequence, it's really interesting because you do get the element of like, well, if he's not an eye, then what's he even doing here, and he can't night somebody, maybe that's why he's probably like, so that element, and they're like, oh, well, hey, you go, you go, you go, do a little speech.
08:47 --> 08:55 [SPEAKER_02]: I'll all quick night this guy, because, you know, we need it, we need it, I wanna have, and we need it, we need a 12 team for our fantasy league.
08:55 --> 08:59 [SPEAKER_01]: So let's just get this guy.
09:00 --> 09:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Because the question of is he or isn't he a knight and if he nights this kid and then they save us, but there's a tension now, there's a there's a subsurface tension that's going to continue to carry forward is don't a knight or not.
09:14 --> 09:16 [SPEAKER_02]: Right, and then the juxtaposition right next to like I said, it's like.
09:17 --> 09:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Look how easy it is to be a knight.
09:19 --> 09:21 [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's like, but this is his whole life.
09:21 --> 09:26 [SPEAKER_02]: And so it kind of, it's honoring this notion of knighthood, right?
09:26 --> 09:30 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's really like, best, this is his, he calls everyone like, are you not true knights, which is kind of like erotic?
09:30 --> 09:33 [SPEAKER_03]: There's no true knights among you, right?
09:33 --> 09:42 [SPEAKER_03]: And on one level, you're thinking, oh man, he's challenging, you know, he's challenging their honor, oh my gosh, right?
09:42 --> 09:46 [SPEAKER_03]: In reality, he's not even a true knight, and so he gets what he deserves.
09:47 --> 10:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that's so and so all of that is baked into this this this scene and it's like this soul it's such a rich You know woven concept right even like you have them you have that mystery and you have the other side But then you also have almost like a level of absurdity to it right like which kind of says like yeah Nighthood is this big big deal, but you know He you know this nighthood made last 40 minutes If he gets out there and he dies he dies and I sure but like to what end
10:15 --> 10:16 [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
10:16 --> 10:19 [SPEAKER_03]: The level of absurdity is sort of baked in, right?
10:19 --> 10:33 [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, okay, there's nothing more serious than being a knight and that the same time you're like, it's kind of just to made up Little story that these people are telling each other so they can play dress up Right.
10:33 --> 10:42 [SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I kind of feel like it's it's great to have this guy Baylor who's kind of almost
10:42 --> 10:55 [SPEAKER_03]: a bedraggled politician, and he's a little bit above it all, and he's like, I can't believe my brothers and my cousins and my nephews are getting up to all their Targaryen shit.
10:55 --> 11:02 [SPEAKER_03]: I've got to clean up their mess again, and he brings this sort of level of gravitas to the show.
11:02 --> 11:04 [SPEAKER_03]: And I think this was the show.
11:04 --> 11:07 [SPEAKER_03]: This was the episode I finally got interested in him.
11:08 --> 11:14 [SPEAKER_03]: And so it's good to have someone in the show that kind of feels like, well, he could be in any show.
11:15 --> 11:17 [SPEAKER_03]: That guy could easily be in house of the dragon.
11:18 --> 11:19 [SPEAKER_03]: And he's kind of eye rolling it.
11:19 --> 11:21 [SPEAKER_03]: Everything that's going on in this show.
11:22 --> 11:23 [SPEAKER_01]: But make or yeah.
11:24 --> 11:26 [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, no, I'm thinking specifically of Baylor Baylor.
11:27 --> 11:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
11:27 --> 11:27 [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
11:27 --> 11:28 [SPEAKER_03]: Make or two.
11:29 --> 11:30 [SPEAKER_03]: Make our resources.
11:30 --> 11:32 [SPEAKER_03]: I rules just for his own son.
11:32 --> 11:33 [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
11:33 --> 11:34 [SPEAKER_03]: which was fantastic.
11:35 --> 11:42 [SPEAKER_03]: And when he was like, you know, sideline is said while he was smashing walnuts and sort of helps him.
11:42 --> 11:47 [SPEAKER_03]: Sarah, Sarah looked at me and she's like, that guy, that's how I feel every single time I'm at dinner with Baron.
11:49 --> 11:59 [SPEAKER_03]: So I love the exchange between these two guys, but I like that Baylor in particular could easily be a house to the dragon character, but he doesn't
11:59 --> 12:02 [SPEAKER_03]: Um, over shadow any of the characters in this show.
12:02 --> 12:04 [SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't change the tone necessarily.
12:05 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_03]: This show can still be cute and clever and still have that kind of character in it.
12:11 --> 12:17 [SPEAKER_01]: And he lebons the the mix, you know, whatever bread.
12:17 --> 12:20 [SPEAKER_01]: This is Focaccio or sourdough or whatever.
12:20 --> 12:23 [SPEAKER_01]: There's there's a lot going on and he provides.
12:24 --> 12:31 [SPEAKER_01]: that sense of fairness and honor that we're looking for within the class of people who are known as Knights and Lords.
12:32 --> 12:38 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it isn't until he actually decides to come into the lists that you actually get the Game of Thrones music, right?
12:38 --> 12:38 [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
12:38 --> 12:39 [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
12:40 --> 12:47 [SPEAKER_03]: So I thought that was very, very well done, and again, sort of in keeping with the theme very cleverly done.
12:48 --> 12:51 [SPEAKER_01]: And then there's the, the Ned Stark of it all.
12:52 --> 13:10 [SPEAKER_01]: because there's this question of, you know, of good people standing up for the innocent, and Ned Stark, you know, was sort of obtuse in his, you know, he wasn't willing to play the game of thrones, right?
13:11 --> 13:14 [SPEAKER_01]: And he lost his head over it, even though he was trying to do good.
13:14 --> 13:16 [SPEAKER_01]: So good isn't necessarily going to save you.
13:18 --> 13:27 [SPEAKER_01]: at the same time being super bad and just going all the way evil is not going to save you either, right?
13:27 --> 13:33 [SPEAKER_01]: So there's there's a moral complexity to this story and it's connecting back to both properties really nicely.
13:35 --> 13:39 [SPEAKER_03]: I have a question about a character that I think we meet for the first time in this episode.
13:41 --> 13:42 [SPEAKER_03]: She's a red-haired woman.
13:43 --> 13:47 [SPEAKER_03]: She looks she's sitting with all the
13:48 --> 13:51 [SPEAKER_03]: She's got a long red braid.
13:52 --> 14:00 [SPEAKER_03]: She's not named and when the camera hangs on her face, Sarah says, do we know who she is?
14:01 --> 14:02 [SPEAKER_03]: Are we supposed to know who she is?
14:02 --> 14:05 [SPEAKER_03]: Because the camera's telling you like, this is someone important.
14:06 --> 14:06 [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
14:06 --> 14:09 [SPEAKER_03]: And then I said, no, we don't know who she is.
14:10 --> 14:13 [SPEAKER_03]: And then they show her a little bit later.
14:13 --> 14:17 [SPEAKER_03]: And then Sarah says, oh, she totally wants to jump as bones now.
14:17 --> 14:23 [SPEAKER_03]: And I was thinking, that's a lot of camera work that's being done for a unnamed character.
14:23 --> 14:29 [SPEAKER_03]: And then I was wondering, do you have any sense of who this character is supposed to be?
14:29 --> 14:31 [SPEAKER_03]: Because she's not in the original novella.
14:32 --> 14:33 [SPEAKER_03]: I've known.
14:33 --> 14:33 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
14:34 --> 14:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
14:34 --> 14:34 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm curious.
14:35 --> 14:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, because I yeah, because I've just had the same thought I'm like, well, I guess I'm not remembering this part of the story, um, because I don't
14:46 --> 14:49 [SPEAKER_02]: woman in this particular one, I don't think so.
14:49 --> 14:55 [SPEAKER_03]: And it made me wonder, are they pushing a character that we're going to meet in season two.
14:55 --> 15:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Indicize like one placing her here to give a little right, so maybe almost give a sense of a.
15:04 --> 15:06 [SPEAKER_02]: She's seen him before, sort of.
15:06 --> 15:09 [SPEAKER_03]: Now this is just, I've got no inside information on this.
15:09 --> 15:18 [SPEAKER_03]: I've just because of the camera work I'm wondering, is this, I don't, I'm supposed to meet that character in season two, but I don't really have, this is just a guess at this point.
15:18 --> 15:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
15:19 --> 15:20 [SPEAKER_03]: That's interesting.
15:21 --> 15:47 [SPEAKER_03]: We'll probably have to save a little bit of a little bit more discussion on that point until our book spoiler section that will feature over at the lore hounds podcast 97 kingdoms do a search for 97 kingdoms lore hounds to hear our deep dive coverage into this very episode was there anything else that you either of you had to say about this episode in
15:48 --> 15:58 [SPEAKER_02]: I think, yeah, the biggest reaction I have is sounds like it's being echoed here and I think, you know, sounds like Sarah, even, it's just this like, okay, now we're now we're really cooking, right?
15:58 --> 16:10 [SPEAKER_02]: And I've been joyed, you know, because this is probably the, I mean, so far, like since since the the egg and dunk dynamic has really been established, this is probably like the least egg and dunk we get, it seems like.
16:11 --> 16:12 [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's a good point.
16:12 --> 16:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
16:12 --> 16:14 [SPEAKER_02]: And so, so,
16:14 --> 16:36 [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's what makes this episode even maybe more remarkable is that I think that's part of that's been sort of the engine that's been driving this and it sort of helped me like I said, like I got into the episode one once that sort of galvanized and then as it's going for like that's such a key part and it's such a wonderful part so the fact that now we can kind of split them up a little bit.
16:37 --> 16:41 [SPEAKER_02]: And and it has this level of like, oh, wow, this is really great episode.
16:41 --> 16:45 [SPEAKER_02]: This is I'm really, I mean, you know, interested in done kind of interested in where this goes.
16:46 --> 16:52 [SPEAKER_02]: It proves that this is this is a story that's not necessarily just a buddy movie per se.
16:53 --> 16:56 [SPEAKER_03]: I will say that after this episode was over.
16:57 --> 16:59 [SPEAKER_03]: Sarah was like, okay, tell me who's who.
16:59 --> 17:04 [SPEAKER_03]: She finally goes like, all right, I actually had to write it out.
17:04 --> 17:06 [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, listen, we haven't met the king.
17:06 --> 17:23 [SPEAKER_03]: We've met the hand of the king, it's Baylor, and then he's got three brothers, and so I wrote out of the brothers, the youngest brothers, Mekar, and then he has four sons, and then I had to sort of do a little family tree thing.
17:23 --> 17:29 [SPEAKER_03]: And I think this is the episode where it's actually kind of matters, kind of matters to know who's who and who's on who's side.
17:29 --> 17:31 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for sure.
17:31 --> 17:37 [SPEAKER_03]: So I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people are just like, all right, maybe I should actually know these people's names.
17:38 --> 17:47 [SPEAKER_01]: My final shout out is for Dexter Soul, because childhood actor, you know, being a child, enacting is not an easy thing.
17:48 --> 17:49 [SPEAKER_01]: And this kid is,
17:50 --> 17:51 [SPEAKER_01]: perfect.
17:51 --> 18:06 [SPEAKER_01]: I haven't read the novels, but I believe him absolutely 100% that he's, uh, you know, a, you know, well, let's hope that this is worth it to bring us a 30 minutes of joy to ruin this entire kid's life.
18:07 --> 18:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Please, yeah, well, at least he's not a a job for a show.
18:12 --> 18:17 [SPEAKER_03]: I think I would leave a life full of joy and fulfillment because he got this child actor gig.
18:17 --> 18:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, but you know, you're giving him the curse of Feldman.
18:20 --> 18:21 [SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
18:22 --> 18:23 [SPEAKER_03]: My breath is 30 minutes to joy.
18:23 --> 18:26 [SPEAKER_03]: I think that we should all feel just great about that.
18:29 --> 18:33 [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry to undercut your previous statement.
18:33 --> 18:34 [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, it's quite a shame.
18:34 --> 18:48 [SPEAKER_01]: It's far for, you know, it's the Rebald humor paired with, you know, it's an Oreo cookie of high nobility sandwiched with a nice little wet juicy fart.
18:48 --> 18:54 [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so I would, I like the idea that the first time Dexter sold a sex talk.
18:54 --> 18:57 [SPEAKER_03]: It included Alice in her three fingers.
19:00 --> 19:02 [SPEAKER_03]: Now you explained to me what the song is about again.
19:03 --> 19:10 [SPEAKER_03]: All right, when a man and a woman really love each other, I just...
19:11 --> 19:25 [SPEAKER_03]: Now, after the break, we will field a couple listener questions, and this will have some house of the dragon spoilers for seasons one and two.
19:25 --> 19:29 [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, so you can hang out for that or you can turn us off right now.
19:30 --> 19:33 [SPEAKER_03]: So, a couple of us in our questions.
19:33 --> 19:35 [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, the first from Jessica.
19:35 --> 19:39 [SPEAKER_03]: We keep seeing little scenes with characters who match archetypes of the seven.
19:39 --> 19:43 [SPEAKER_03]: So far, we've seen the maiden, the Smith, the warrior, and the crown.
19:43 --> 19:45 [SPEAKER_03]: Thoughts is this a reach.
19:45 --> 19:48 [SPEAKER_03]: Um, Jessica, that's a good pull out.
19:48 --> 19:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's really good.
19:49 --> 19:50 [SPEAKER_03]: It's a, it's a, it's a great point.
19:51 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, Jessica wrote this before scene.
19:53 --> 19:54 [SPEAKER_03]: This is our people.
19:55 --> 19:56 [SPEAKER_01]: She's, she's, she's Laura on people.
19:56 --> 19:59 [SPEAKER_03]: Clearly, this episode was titled seven.
19:59 --> 20:02 [SPEAKER_03]: And we had references to the seven.
20:02 --> 20:06 [SPEAKER_03]: Um, I, I have two thoughts on this.
20:07 --> 20:10 [SPEAKER_03]: The first is that there are archetypes for a reason.
20:10 --> 20:12 [SPEAKER_03]: There are people that you need all over the place, right?
20:13 --> 20:21 [SPEAKER_03]: So it feels like a show in Westeros is just going to be populated with these archetypes no matter what.
20:23 --> 20:31 [SPEAKER_03]: And at the same time, you know, is there a sort of a conscious homage to these these people?
20:31 --> 20:32 [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure.
20:32 --> 20:35 [SPEAKER_03]: What do you do you either have a take on this?
20:37 --> 20:38 [SPEAKER_02]: I like how you.
20:38 --> 20:41 [SPEAKER_02]: you through cold water on her observation.
20:41 --> 20:43 [SPEAKER_03]: We love you, Jessica.
20:43 --> 20:49 [SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, I think it's really, I think it's really important to same way that you shamed a David for a lot in each child actor.
20:49 --> 20:51 [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's really important that you're
20:51 --> 20:58 [SPEAKER_02]: that you're here to like, is there an, is there an archetype of the seven that's just a kill choice kill?
20:59 --> 21:02 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was wondering because that's because you're being ripped for anything in the case.
21:02 --> 21:03 [SPEAKER_03]: Sir buzz kill.
21:04 --> 21:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
21:05 --> 21:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
21:06 --> 21:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
21:07 --> 21:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, sir buzz kill a bummer rose.
21:11 --> 21:13 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't think so.
21:13 --> 21:18 [SPEAKER_03]: Jessica, if I was going to, if you're going to hold a sword to my throat.
21:18 --> 21:20 [SPEAKER_03]: and make me speak true.
21:20 --> 21:22 [SPEAKER_03]: I'd say, probably not.
21:24 --> 21:25 [SPEAKER_03]: Any other stuff like it though?
21:25 --> 21:26 [SPEAKER_03]: You still like it.
21:26 --> 21:27 [SPEAKER_03]: It's again, Clever.
21:28 --> 21:31 [SPEAKER_03]: In keeping with the episode very clever Jessica, very clever.
21:32 --> 21:41 [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so here is a spoiler warning again for House of the Dragons season two, which most people have seen already.
21:42 --> 21:43 [SPEAKER_03]: This from C Bell.
21:44 --> 21:53 [SPEAKER_03]: Anyone else wonder if the Alice referred to in the song might be a takedown or slander of Alice in high tower Targaryen?
21:53 --> 21:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I like that.
21:54 --> 21:56 [SPEAKER_03]: We're discussing common folk's daughters named after.
21:56 --> 21:59 [SPEAKER_03]: So I like that a lot too.
21:59 --> 22:01 [SPEAKER_03]: I think this is really smart.
22:01 --> 22:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you like that one now, do you?
22:03 --> 22:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
22:04 --> 22:05 [SPEAKER_01]: I see what kind of podcast this is.
22:05 --> 22:07 [SPEAKER_03]: This is both Clever and Wright.
22:08 --> 22:09 [SPEAKER_01]: See, that's the right.
22:09 --> 22:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's the right to hear that.
22:11 --> 22:12 [SPEAKER_03]: I'd like this a lot.
22:12 --> 22:15 [SPEAKER_03]: And I like the question, like, you know, egg is questioning.
22:15 --> 22:17 [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think else was a real name?
22:18 --> 22:27 [SPEAKER_03]: as if to like, wink to the viewers, this is kind of the legacy of someone, but her name isn't quite Alice, it might sound like that's good.
22:27 --> 22:28 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let us, let us, let us.
22:28 --> 22:43 [SPEAKER_03]: You get the idea that like, you know, if there is going to be like, team, an actual team black in world, you could imagine all kinds of horrible songs being written to slander members of team green.
22:44 --> 22:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and you would of course assume
22:49 --> 22:54 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's like, I guess, like, that song would be like what the, the alternate half time show.
22:55 --> 22:57 [SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
22:57 --> 22:57 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
22:57 --> 22:57 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
22:57 --> 22:58 [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, I like this a lot.
22:58 --> 23:00 [SPEAKER_03]: See, but I haven't seen this anywhere else.
23:00 --> 23:03 [SPEAKER_03]: You get all the points for a suggestion this.
23:04 --> 23:10 [SPEAKER_01]: I just think of it the day when egg truly understands what that song meant.
23:13 --> 23:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, according to Anthony, that's going to just be part of his career journey in real life.
23:18 --> 23:26 [SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, eventually he'll pill, be bar mitzvud, and they'll explain even more to him about being a man.
23:28 --> 23:34 [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, yes, no, I think you're getting a little bit of a response.
23:34 --> 23:41 [SPEAKER_02]: I think you're getting a little bit of a response.
23:48 --> 23:50 [UNKNOWN]: Thank you.
24:45 --> 24:56 [SPEAKER_01]: And a cocoon of horror.
