[00:00:00] Steve, we are back with Properly Howard with a very exciting theme, A Few Good Films.

[00:00:30] Yep. That's right.

[00:00:36] It's been months since we talked and Steve kind of forgot that he was supposed to talk into his microphone.

[00:00:44] Trying something different this season.

[00:00:48] This will be interesting.

[00:00:49] A lot of facial expressions.

[00:00:51] So, A Few Good Films. This was my idea.

[00:00:53] And my ideas usually work out great.

[00:00:57] A Few Good Films.

[00:00:59] Very simply, we are going to begin with the actors in A Few Good Men.

[00:01:07] And we're going to pick films that each of these actors feature in.

[00:01:12] So only actors?

[00:01:14] Well, actors, director, writer, right?

[00:01:18] And then...

[00:01:19] Key grips.

[00:01:20] Key grips.

[00:01:21] We're doing a lot of work on these key grips.

[00:01:23] Okay.

[00:01:24] And then at the end of the season, we'll watch A Few Good Men.

[00:01:28] That is the general plan.

[00:01:30] And of course, there's a couple of complications in this.

[00:01:33] Can you communicate those, Steve, so that we're on the same page?

[00:01:36] I will try to communicate these complications.

[00:01:40] For those returning listeners, you know this is probably the least interesting part of any of our shows.

[00:01:50] Where we explain the rules and misunderstand the rules and then do our best to try to adhere to those rules once we think we understand them.

[00:01:59] It is, however, the element that I most lose sleep over.

[00:02:05] Yes.

[00:02:06] This is...

[00:02:08] The show...

[00:02:09] Watching the movies is secondary.

[00:02:12] Seeing if the rules that he's put in place actually can come to fruition is really what he's all about.

[00:02:17] Last night I was up until 4am worried that you would draft Vanilla Sky.

[00:02:21] Just to hear me have to talk about that film for a good hour and a half.

[00:02:27] Nothing's off the table.

[00:02:29] I know.

[00:02:29] So, simply put, we each have four picks.

[00:02:32] And each pick has to be a principal, actor, and or the screenwriter or director.

[00:02:41] So we can pick a movie that they were in or contributed to.

[00:02:47] Mm-hmm.

[00:02:48] And once we do that, that actor or principal contributor is off the board.

[00:02:57] We can no longer draft a movie that includes one of them.

[00:03:03] However, there is...

[00:03:05] We each are allowed one exception that we can freely use when it comes to our turn to pick.

[00:03:12] So, for example, if it's a movie starring Kevin Bacon directed by Rob Reiner, and I really want a Rob Reiner directed film, I can use my exception to pick that.

[00:03:27] Right.

[00:03:28] And then that gives the other person a veto.

[00:03:31] They can veto.

[00:03:32] Right.

[00:03:32] So if you use your exception, there's a risk because then the other drafter now has been awarded veto power over any of your picks prior or following.

[00:03:46] Right.

[00:03:47] We're going to do something we've never done before, Steve.

[00:03:49] I am going to FaceTime you.

[00:03:52] Huh?

[00:03:54] Is that going to disrupt this whole experience?

[00:03:57] The audio is going to get weird, but I want to make sure that you see that my roll of dice is...

[00:04:04] Ah.

[00:04:05] Okay.

[00:04:12] Hello.

[00:04:14] I'm going to roll these dice, Steve.

[00:04:15] Do you want odd or even?

[00:04:17] I'm going to go odd.

[00:04:20] Do you see that?

[00:04:22] Yeah.

[00:04:23] What does it say?

[00:04:24] Eleven.

[00:04:27] Eleven.

[00:04:28] So you chose odd.

[00:04:30] It was eleven, so you select first.

[00:04:33] Man, I...

[00:04:34] Not typical.

[00:04:36] That's not where I thought I'd be.

[00:04:39] This is very exciting.

[00:04:41] Uh, alright.

[00:04:43] Can I just tell you something that I'm...

[00:04:44] I originally thought this would be a really fantastic idea.

[00:04:49] If you got the first one.

[00:04:50] And when I came up with my board, I've constructed this in such a way that I'm not choosing the movies I most want to watch.

[00:04:59] I'm constructing my board in a way that allows me to not have to watch certain movies.

[00:05:06] Because you know what I'm capable of.

[00:05:09] Yes, I do.

[00:05:10] And I'm worried.

[00:05:11] I'm very worried what's going to happen right now.

[00:05:14] Well, I have...

[00:05:15] I have...

[00:05:16] I have a couple of different paths.

[00:05:20] And it's all kind of up to you.

[00:05:22] There are some things, boy, man.

[00:05:24] Like, I could...

[00:05:25] I think it's up to you because you have the first selection.

[00:05:28] I could sabotage this thing real quick.

[00:05:30] I know.

[00:05:31] I'm begging you not to do it.

[00:05:34] I'm just begging you not to do it.

[00:05:36] My first pick, I'm taking it.

[00:05:38] Jack Nicholson movie.

[00:05:40] Okay.

[00:05:41] I'm going with Batman 89.

[00:05:44] All right.

[00:05:45] Batman 89.

[00:05:46] Fantastic.

[00:05:47] I'm excited about that.

[00:05:49] Now, if I had the first pick, I would have taken The Shining.

[00:05:55] And I kind of thought that you might do this.

[00:06:00] Really?

[00:06:00] Because...

[00:06:01] Yeah, because, you know, 89 Batman is a movie that almost works itself into, like, every podcast, it feels like.

[00:06:10] Might as well cover it directly.

[00:06:13] Right?

[00:06:13] Well, there's a lot of opportunities.

[00:06:15] I mean, I really am looking forward to discussing not just the film, but sort of the experience.

[00:06:23] Yeah.

[00:06:24] It's...

[00:06:24] You know...

[00:06:25] Well, I'm excited about that.

[00:06:26] Honestly, that's a relief.

[00:06:28] Because yesterday you sent me an image of Coupa Cain Jr. in radio.

[00:06:35] And I thought he's...

[00:06:36] I can just...

[00:06:37] I can just taste it.

[00:06:39] I can just taste that that's what he's gonna do.

[00:06:43] All right.

[00:06:43] This was definitely...

[00:06:44] You definitely got in my head.

[00:06:45] This is a zig.

[00:06:46] I knew...

[00:06:47] Yeah, I know.

[00:06:48] I don't doubt that I did it.

[00:06:49] Don't feel safe.

[00:06:52] I do feel safe because my next pick is American Gangster.

[00:06:57] Oh, wow.

[00:06:59] So, that would not be my number one pick.

[00:07:03] But I do like that movie.

[00:07:04] It does feature Coupa Cain Jr.

[00:07:08] And it means that I don't have to watch radio.

[00:07:12] If you want...

[00:07:13] If you're curious what my Coupa Cain Jr. was gonna be, it was gonna be Judgment Night.

[00:07:17] Oh, interesting.

[00:07:18] Okay.

[00:07:19] I didn't even have it on my board.

[00:07:22] Huh.

[00:07:24] All right.

[00:07:25] So, now it is your...

[00:07:27] And I don't think that this takes anyone else off the board.

[00:07:30] Does Batman take anything else off the board for us?

[00:07:32] No.

[00:07:33] It shouldn't.

[00:07:33] It shouldn't do that.

[00:07:35] Yeah.

[00:07:35] Christopher Guest doesn't play a henchman or anything in that?

[00:07:38] Not to my knowledge.

[00:07:39] No, no.

[00:07:40] So, I've chosen American Gangster.

[00:07:43] This is Denzel in a very, I think, underrated crime film.

[00:07:49] I've never seen it.

[00:07:50] It's loosely based on a true story.

[00:07:53] And let me tell you how much I like this movie, Steve.

[00:07:57] The other principle in this movie is Russell Crowe.

[00:08:01] And you know my feelings on Russell Crowe.

[00:08:03] You actually...

[00:08:05] You feel like you've softened.

[00:08:07] I probably have softened a bit.

[00:08:09] I do...

[00:08:10] I think you...

[00:08:11] I think you...

[00:08:12] I like Denzel so much in this movie that I'm almost fine with Russell Crowe.

[00:08:18] I think you're softening on Russell Crowe is like kind of the same way you feel like maybe Woody Harrelson's better looking than you gave him credit for.

[00:08:26] It's...

[00:08:28] Man, I've got...

[00:08:30] I've got...

[00:08:30] This is great.

[00:08:31] I'm gonna get my...

[00:08:32] My second pick.

[00:08:34] Oh, Jesus.

[00:08:34] And my first pick.

[00:08:36] What is it?

[00:08:36] I'm gonna go Kiefer Sutherland, Young Guns.

[00:08:39] I thought you might.

[00:08:41] I thought you might.

[00:08:43] So...

[00:08:45] Young Guns...

[00:08:46] And does that...

[00:08:48] That takes Cruz off the board.

[00:08:50] It does not.

[00:08:51] I will not allow it to take Cruz off the board because one, he is uncredited.

[00:08:55] And two, I still think that it's a bit...

[00:08:58] I mean, I think it's probably true, but I don't think it's like official official.

[00:09:02] And the fact that it's uncredited.

[00:09:04] So that's interesting.

[00:09:06] If you go to IMDB, you will see that he is...

[00:09:10] That it is on Cruz's list and it does say uncredited.

[00:09:14] I think that's a decent rule.

[00:09:16] Like if it's not certain, right?

[00:09:19] If it's uncredited and it's a cameo and it's clear, I think that's one thing, right?

[00:09:25] Okay.

[00:09:27] I don't feel like...

[00:09:29] I mean, there's nothing about Cruz's presence that contributes a Cruz-like presence to the film.

[00:09:34] Okay.

[00:09:34] So I am willing to leave Cruz out there to be available.

[00:09:38] Okay.

[00:09:38] That does help me.

[00:09:39] It does change how I view Joshua Molina.

[00:09:43] Joshua Molina, who plays a small part in A Few Good Men, is uncredited in Revenge of the Nerds 2.

[00:09:51] So that means that I will not be selecting Revenge of the Nerds 2 with this pick.

[00:09:58] Nerds in Paradise.

[00:10:00] Nerds in Paradise.

[00:10:01] Yes, yes, yes, yes.

[00:10:02] With the Hotel Coral Essex where they change the lights to say hot oral sex.

[00:10:12] Hey folks, breaking in from the future here.

[00:10:14] Due to complications beyond our control, Steve and I were forced to cover Young Guns 2.

[00:10:22] And within that podcast, we talk a lot about the first Young Guns.

[00:10:26] So if you are planning a watch, please keep that in mind.

[00:10:31] You know what I was going to do if you didn't take Young Guns?

[00:10:33] Hmm.

[00:10:35] I was going to take Bright Lights, Big City for Sutherland.

[00:10:38] Wow.

[00:10:39] I'm glad I got Young Guns.

[00:10:40] I don't have a strong memory of this.

[00:10:43] I don't know if you have a strong memory of this film.

[00:10:46] I remember being bored.

[00:10:48] Okay.

[00:10:49] All right.

[00:10:50] Well, were you bored in Young Guns?

[00:10:53] No, no.

[00:10:54] Still I'm not.

[00:10:55] With my second pick, I'm going to take a Demi Moore film, Steve.

[00:11:00] Oh.

[00:11:02] It's a little film called Ghost.

[00:11:04] Whoa.

[00:11:05] I did not see that coming.

[00:11:07] I do remember you saying that you had never seen it.

[00:11:10] Is that still true?

[00:11:11] That's true.

[00:11:13] And I know that you like Patrick Swayze.

[00:11:16] I do.

[00:11:17] And I think this will be a really fun movie for us to watch together.

[00:11:21] I think so.

[00:11:22] A very romantic movie for us to watch together.

[00:11:25] My Demi Moore movie was going to be One Crazy Summer starring John Cusack and Bobcat Goldthwait.

[00:11:31] Oh, I've got a Bobcat Goldthwait in mind too.

[00:11:34] I don't know if we'll see if we get there.

[00:11:38] We'll see if we get there.

[00:11:40] This is exciting.

[00:11:41] So far, no controversy, no exceptions to be taken, right?

[00:11:45] I mean, I guess Young Guns would have been the closest thing, which is also why I'm glad I got it because I don't know if you would have been as generous if I was going to try to use Young Guns later if you had taken.

[00:11:57] Oh, no.

[00:11:57] I would have been a real asshole about it.

[00:11:59] Yeah, yeah.

[00:11:59] I figured.

[00:12:02] We dodged a bullet there.

[00:12:04] Ooh.

[00:12:05] Ooh.

[00:12:05] So let me just say we're halfway through this draft.

[00:12:08] Yeah.

[00:12:08] Halfway through this draft.

[00:12:09] Does this look how you thought it was going to look?

[00:12:11] No.

[00:12:12] I did not think I would be sitting with my top two picks.

[00:12:16] I mean, my number three pick is off the board, obviously, with Judgment Night, just because that's one I want to watch with you.

[00:12:20] Never seen it.

[00:12:22] Okay.

[00:12:23] So now I'm looking at my number four, and now I'm like, okay, is this where I want to go? Because it sort of presupposed a few things, but I'm actually kind of surprised that this is available.

[00:12:41] Is this what I want to do?

[00:12:43] Yeah, I'm going to do it.

[00:12:44] I'm going to go Tom Cruise cocktail.

[00:12:50] Never seen cocktail.

[00:12:52] Really?

[00:12:52] Never seen it.

[00:12:53] I've heard that it is maybe the Tom Cruise-iest movie ever.

[00:12:57] Oh, it's pretty cruisy.

[00:12:58] It's pretty cruisy.

[00:13:00] I can't imagine I'm going to like it, but it'll be fun to watch it for the first time.

[00:13:07] So you've got the cruise.

[00:13:09] You've got two cruise movies.

[00:13:11] You walked away.

[00:13:12] Yeah.

[00:13:13] I mean, yeah.

[00:13:13] You know, it is a few good films.

[00:13:16] It makes sense.

[00:13:18] It makes sense.

[00:13:18] I mean, cocktail and ghost.

[00:13:22] Not, not our typical.

[00:13:28] This is my third pick.

[00:13:33] I'm going to take Moneyball.

[00:13:35] This is an Aaron Sorkin screenplay.

[00:13:39] Love it.

[00:13:41] And for a while you had not seen it.

[00:13:43] Have you seen it?

[00:13:44] I saw it flying back from New York with you.

[00:13:48] Interesting.

[00:13:49] Okay.

[00:13:50] So I would like to, I think this, this film is kind of interesting for us to cover because

[00:13:58] basically, you know, Bay Area sports centric and not your typical sports movie.

[00:14:05] Right.

[00:14:06] And it'll be fun to talk about.

[00:14:07] Yeah.

[00:14:08] I was going to, if I was going to go Sorkin, Moneyball was my first.

[00:14:11] And I was also considering the movie Malice with Alec Baldwin and Bill Coleman.

[00:14:17] Mm-hmm.

[00:14:17] I've been looking at that one too.

[00:14:19] So it is now your select.

[00:14:22] Does that take anything else off the board?

[00:14:24] I don't think it does.

[00:14:25] No, I don't believe so.

[00:14:27] Wow.

[00:14:27] This is really something I've got.

[00:14:29] Man, I've got a bevy.

[00:14:32] Now this is your final pick.

[00:14:34] It's my final pick.

[00:14:36] I have two Kurt Russell options.

[00:14:40] I have a couple of horror options.

[00:14:45] Maybe three technical horror movie options.

[00:14:50] And it's a part of me that kind of likes to do that, but I know you've seen this one.

[00:14:56] Promise me.

[00:14:57] Ooh, my balancing act right now is it's a, it's Pollock versus Walsh.

[00:15:02] Hmm.

[00:15:05] You're looking at Breakdown, aren't you?

[00:15:06] I am looking at Breakdown.

[00:15:08] I'm also looking at Executive Decision.

[00:15:11] That's, there's actually three Kurt Russell options I'm looking at.

[00:15:14] Because the other, the Kevin Pollock is 3,000 miles to Graceland with him and with Kurt Russell.

[00:15:20] Oh, and he's a Elvis impersonator.

[00:15:22] And Kevin Costner, Elvis impersonate a heist movie.

[00:15:25] Yeah.

[00:15:26] I do like a good heist movie.

[00:15:30] Ah, but man, End of Days with Schwarzenegger fighting the devil.

[00:15:33] I don't know.

[00:15:34] He's a cop.

[00:15:36] He's a New York cop who has to fight the devil.

[00:15:38] Right.

[00:15:39] I'm looking at what I've contributed and like, I, it would be very on brand for me to do almost any one of these.

[00:15:47] Uh, I don't think I want to watch Executive Decision again.

[00:15:53] Have you ever seen it?

[00:15:54] Nope.

[00:15:56] Steven Seagal, Kurt Russell.

[00:15:58] I'm surprised we don't have a bacon yet.

[00:16:00] Me too.

[00:16:02] I mean, geez.

[00:16:05] Yeah.

[00:16:06] Boy, this is actually tougher than I thought.

[00:16:09] Like I'm trying to decide something that if I want to see something for the first time, because like on this list, there's only one that I mean, I haven't seen Ghost, but I feel like I've seen enough of it that I kind of get it.

[00:16:19] Like American Gangster, I've never seen.

[00:16:21] So seeing something for the first time that neither of us have seen would be, I think would be fun.

[00:16:28] So I am going Kevin Pollack, 3000 Miles to Graceland.

[00:16:33] Didn't even have it on the list.

[00:16:38] Uh, I like it.

[00:16:39] I like, I'm looking forward to that.

[00:16:40] I imagine it's not very good, but I imagine we'll find the good in it.

[00:16:45] Or at least I will.

[00:16:46] I mean, there's a lot here, uh, for my final pick.

[00:16:51] Let me just see what I've got highlighted.

[00:16:53] So I've decided against Harry Caesar in Hot to Trot with Bobcat Goldthwait.

[00:16:59] Ooh, John Candy is the voice of the horse and Dabney Coleman with the fake teeth.

[00:17:05] Decided not to do that.

[00:17:07] It was a tough one.

[00:17:08] Oof.

[00:17:09] I like to think that our audience right now is going.

[00:17:12] So for the theme, a few good films, you've chosen 3000 Miles to Graceland and Cocktail.

[00:17:22] Uh, I'm going to choose a film I've never seen.

[00:17:26] It's a little film called Death Wish with Charles Bronson.

[00:17:30] Whoa.

[00:17:31] Can you guess why I've chosen this film?

[00:17:34] Um, is it a JT Walsh?

[00:17:38] Nope.

[00:17:39] Who the hell is that?

[00:17:41] Uh, Christopher Guest plays a small part as a police officer.

[00:17:50] So, got the Death Wish with Christopher Guest.

[00:17:54] Wow.

[00:17:55] Yep.

[00:17:56] Now, I've, it's not just that I haven't seen Death Wish before.

[00:18:01] It's that I've never seen a Bronson film.

[00:18:04] Not even Great Escape?

[00:18:06] Not even, I've never seen a Charles Bronson film.

[00:18:10] Oh wait, does Great Escape have a, that's a Clint Eastwood, right?

[00:18:15] No.

[00:18:15] That's Escape from Alcatraz.

[00:18:17] All right.

[00:18:17] Well, I've never seen, yeah, still never seen a Bronson film.

[00:18:23] So, this will be my first.

[00:18:25] And, uh, I'm looking forward to watching it.

[00:18:27] Have you seen Death Wish?

[00:18:29] You know, I think I've seen Death Wish 4.

[00:18:32] For some reason.

[00:18:36] That's on brand.

[00:18:37] That's on brand.

[00:18:40] Okay, now, now that we're done, and I'll just read these really quick.

[00:18:45] We've got Batman, we've got Cocktail, we've got Ghost, Young Guns, 3,000 Miles of Graceland, Moneyball, and American Gangster, and Death Wish.

[00:18:56] And of course, a few good men.

[00:18:57] That's a pretty good list, I would say.

[00:19:00] Um, now let me ask you this.

[00:19:03] If this wasn't a draft, and you just got to choose a bunch of films that you just wanted to cover, what would this list look like for you?

[00:19:14] Like, what are the ones on this list that you most think, oh, it's kind of a bummer we didn't do that one?

[00:19:20] I had, uh, Misery.

[00:19:24] Mm-hmm.

[00:19:25] As well as Throw Mama from the Train, which is low-key one of my favorite movies.

[00:19:31] I really love Throw Mama from the Train.

[00:19:33] Yeah, I had that on there too.

[00:19:35] That was sort of my Reiner pick if I was going to pick it.

[00:19:38] Yeah.

[00:19:39] Um, I think we would, I think we would have a lot of fun with Judgment Night, and one of these days, I think it'll have to be shoehorned in there.

[00:19:46] Cause I just, I just, it's, like I said, I've never seen it.

[00:19:50] Kind of surprised I've never seen it.

[00:19:52] I kind of refused to see it until like we watched it together.

[00:19:55] Um, Tremors was on my list.

[00:19:58] Yeah.

[00:19:59] Did we, did we walk away without a bacon?

[00:20:02] No bacon.

[00:20:03] I can't believe this.

[00:20:03] I can't believe this.

[00:20:04] We just had the conversation about doing an entire theme about bacon.

[00:20:09] We did zero bacons.

[00:20:11] We did zero bacon.

[00:20:13] Wow.

[00:20:15] That's, that, that, that is surprising to me.

[00:20:18] Um, Vanilla Sky and Radio were my, um, revenge picks.

[00:20:24] Uh huh.

[00:20:24] We didn't, yeah, we didn't do the, uh, exceptions.

[00:20:27] We didn't do Vito's.

[00:20:29] Also toyed with Witches of Eastwick for Jack Nicholson.

[00:20:34] Yeah.

[00:20:35] That one was, that's kind of an odd one, but I wasn't, you know what I was thinking?

[00:20:39] We should do like a, sometime in the future we should do it all devil season.

[00:20:44] Oh, that'd be fun.

[00:20:45] Devil's.

[00:20:45] All the different actors who have played, well, we could do God and the devil.

[00:20:49] We could do all the different movies that either feature an actual actor playing God,

[00:20:54] like, you know, Burns or Bill Cosby for instance.

[00:21:01] Bill Cosby played God.

[00:21:02] He played the devil.

[00:21:03] Oh yeah.

[00:21:04] Yeah.

[00:21:05] And then Morgan Freeman is God.

[00:21:06] And also the voice of God in, uh, was it two of a kind was Gene Hackman, right?

[00:21:11] I mean, that would be an interesting season.

[00:21:14] Uh, and that's a very eighties centric kind of thing.

[00:21:17] Like seventies and eighties.

[00:21:19] There were a lot of films that had like actual actors playing.

[00:21:25] I mean, George Burns played in what?

[00:21:26] Like three of these movies.

[00:21:28] Yeah.

[00:21:28] It was, Oh God, Oh God, part two.

[00:21:30] And Oh God, you devil.

[00:21:31] He played both.

[00:21:34] So I was thinking in some future season, we'll do a God versus devil.

[00:21:39] A couple on the table for me.

[00:21:41] I thought it would be kind of fun to do Beverly Hills cop.

[00:21:45] Yeah.

[00:21:46] I had that on there as well as an option.

[00:21:48] I had Ricochet.

[00:21:50] Ooh.

[00:21:51] Yeah.

[00:21:51] Ricochet was another one.

[00:21:53] Um, for, I had Donnie Darko.

[00:21:56] Oh yeah.

[00:21:57] Donnie Darko would have been fun for cruise.

[00:21:59] I had risky business.

[00:22:00] Mm.

[00:22:01] Okay.

[00:22:02] Uh, I was also thinking collateral would be interesting.

[00:22:05] Oh yeah.

[00:22:06] Yeah.

[00:22:06] That's cool.

[00:22:06] So if I had, okay, uh, let's, let's read, because I mean, it's our

[00:22:11] podcast to everyone.

[00:22:12] Um, if I hadn't taken young guns, uh, would you have done it?

[00:22:20] Would you have gone Kiefer or would you like, how did you prioritize?

[00:22:26] Mm.

[00:22:26] Like, is there something when I took somebody you're like, ah, crap, well that takes this

[00:22:30] thing.

[00:22:30] Was it, was it the Batman shining being like the main?

[00:22:34] Yes.

[00:22:34] If I had, if I had the first pick, I would have gone with the shining.

[00:22:39] I think I was going to take American gangster number two, no matter what.

[00:22:43] I don't think I would have taken bright lights, big city with Sutherland.

[00:22:48] Uh, I think I've got it highlighted here, but I, I probably, that would have probably been

[00:22:52] like a number four pick for me.

[00:22:53] Is there any movie you're not really looking forward to watching?

[00:22:57] I mean, I can't imagine that I'm going to enjoy cocktail.

[00:23:02] I'm going to enjoy hearing you talk about it.

[00:23:05] Yeah, no, I, I'm willing to watch it.

[00:23:07] It'll, it'll be fun to talk about it.

[00:23:10] Uh, there's a reason I have not watched it until this point in my life.

[00:23:16] So, uh, yeah.

[00:23:18] Yeah.

[00:23:19] Uh, another one with more that I, I quite like is margin call.

[00:23:24] I don't know if you've seen margin call.

[00:23:25] I've never seen it.

[00:23:27] Yeah.

[00:23:27] It's, it's kind of underrated.

[00:23:30] Um, the big short finance kind of movie.

[00:23:35] Gotcha.

[00:23:36] All right, Steve.

[00:23:37] Um, so now we've got our list and then of course we are going to, uh, cap off our season

[00:23:42] with a few good men.

[00:23:44] Importantly, I got a little Kurt Russell at least to show up somewhere.

[00:23:48] Still, still reeling about this, uh, no bacon.

[00:23:52] Yeah.

[00:23:52] It's a little weird.

[00:23:53] If you were going to choose a bacon from what would you have chosen?

[00:23:57] I think I'd have gone with tremors.

[00:24:00] Tremors.

[00:24:00] Though Axel F was, you know, it was very topical.

[00:24:05] Yeah.

[00:24:06] I mean that there was, all right.

[00:24:07] So here's the other one I was thinking of.

[00:24:09] Um, he was in leave the world behind, which is sort of like a dystopia slash horror film

[00:24:16] that came out last year.

[00:24:18] Are you aware of this movie?

[00:24:19] No.

[00:24:21] Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali.

[00:24:23] Oh yeah.

[00:24:25] Uh, that would have been, I think that would have been an interesting one to, to watch a

[00:24:30] little bit more recent.

[00:24:32] I don't, I mean, are all of these oldies?

[00:24:35] I mean, is, is Moneyball the most recent movie on my list?

[00:24:39] Moneyball might be the most recent.

[00:24:41] Um, thanks to you picking Death Wish, I was not the one that was solely living in the past.

[00:24:48] Uh, all right.

[00:24:53] 3,000 miles of Graceland.

[00:24:54] When did that come out?

[00:24:55] Well, that's a good question.

[00:24:57] I mean, man, that was a, it's 2001.

[00:25:00] So it's, it's new.

[00:25:04] Twenty, twenty, twenty three years new.

[00:25:06] At least this millennia.

[00:25:07] I mean, we got Kurt Russell, Kevin Costner, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Christian Slater,

[00:25:13] Thomas Hayden Church, Kevin Pollock, John Lovitz, Howie Long, Bokeem Woodbine, Paul Anka, Ice Team.

[00:25:21] All right.

[00:25:21] So here is a schedule for the next nine weeks of Properly Howard.

[00:25:27] We're going to start with Tim Burton's Batman, followed by American Gangster, Young Guns 2,

[00:25:33] with a bit of Young Guns baked in there as well.

[00:25:36] Death Wish with Charles Bronson, 3,000 Miles to Graceland with Moneyball, Ghost, Cocktail,

[00:25:43] and we will cap things off with a few good men.

[00:25:46] As always, you can send emails to cocoonsofhorror at gmail.com.
