[00:00:05] Hello and welcome to the Radioactive Ramblings podcast. I'm your host Aaron, and today we

[00:00:25] are going to be doing the third part of our Fallout Lore series. God bless the enclave.

[00:00:32] Richard, you're a Fallout 3 fan. You've got to be excited for this episode of Radioactive

[00:00:40] Ramblings. I am. I mean, I'm not an enclave fan obviously, but I would say that I definitely know

[00:00:47] more about them than I do about other groups, other factions. Maybe not so much about the

[00:00:54] founding though, which I'm excited to talk about today. Yeah, the founding of the enclave is really

[00:00:59] murky and sort of put off to the side a little bit. It's a little mysterious. It seems like

[00:01:05] the Fallout show is going to be giving us a little bit more about that as we go along. They're

[00:01:10] dropping some hints, but as far as we know, it's sort of a baseline shadowy cabal type

[00:01:18] organization gets formed out of all these powerful people. It's a familiar story.

[00:01:25] It's about power and greed and corruption and things that would never happen in real life

[00:01:31] America. Never will. Yeah, I mean, I am definitely happy to talk about that. I always love groups

[00:01:39] like that. I think they're just fun. I don't know why, but they are. Yeah, put an evil group

[00:01:47] into cool armor and you've got the makings of an interesting faction for sure. Oh my god,

[00:01:52] XO one power armor please, please. Yeah, so three hellfire. Yeah, the hellfire power armor is pretty

[00:02:01] awesome. To be honest, there's not a set of enclave power armor that isn't awesome. That's true. That's

[00:02:06] true. That's the one good thing that they did. Yeah, also the dogs. I don't know if that was

[00:02:13] such a good thing, but I love him. Yes, all right. So Richard, you were sick last week with

[00:02:22] which is why we are a little bit late on this one, but you're feeling a little bit better now, right?

[00:02:28] I am. I will be periodically meeting my mic to have a fucking like coughing storm,

[00:02:34] but aside from that, aside from that, we are all good. I took my pills, so I'm going a little

[00:02:40] less insane, although that's not the same. That's not going completely insane.

[00:02:47] Yeah, I'm kind of annoyed because, you know, we're going to start off that new project

[00:02:51] and then I was too sick for it, but that's all right because we'll get it started this weekend

[00:02:58] and we'll get it out. Yeah, absolutely. And don't worry about muting when you cough,

[00:03:04] just cough right into the microphone. Oh, all right. It'll be more fun that way. Right.

[00:03:09] Just like going up in public and coughing in random strangers' faces, obviously. Exactly.

[00:03:16] That's way more fun than that. I used to do that during COVID actually,

[00:03:18] especially when I had a positive COVID test. Genius move, totally. I highly recommend that.

[00:03:23] Call that one sickness roulette. I do actually. Yeah, it's a fun game, you know,

[00:03:29] passed down in my family for generations. Yes. Fun for nobody except for you. That's

[00:03:35] a good one. Hey, that's all that matters, sorry.

[00:03:38] Entertaining yourself. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's my main goal in life is to just

[00:03:43] entertain myself. Anyone else who's entertained in the process, that's just a bonus.

[00:03:48] All right. So let's get into our first section here, which is the same name as our episode today,

[00:03:55] God Bless America. Or I guess the episode is God Bless the Enclave and this section is God Bless

[00:04:00] America. Yeah, you're actually, what the hell, bro? Yeah, we've got a lot of the like propaganda

[00:04:07] type stuff going on today. And that's because that's very much the core of the Enclave. You

[00:04:12] know, it's a very hyper like American militaristic type of organization, not democratic. They're

[00:04:22] very much authoritarian, but they claim to be a democracy. The Enclave is America took a dark

[00:04:28] turn towards authoritarianism in this timeline. And that's where we find ourselves with this group.

[00:04:35] Honestly, especially with like the propaganda, they remind me a lot of,

[00:04:39] I know you have, I don't know if anyone in the audience has played or heard of hell divers

[00:04:44] very similar with like just the amount of insane propaganda. And also, I mean, we don't really know

[00:04:49] like hell divers lore, but like, I feel like they got to have a similar system of government

[00:04:54] to the Enclave where it's like, Oh, we're totally, we're totally a democracy. Yeah,

[00:04:59] but then they're not actually type stuff. But who knows? Side by side. So what do you got

[00:05:05] for the starting days? Yeah, so the Enclave, which again, is this shadowy organization,

[00:05:13] very scary and behind the scenes. They were actually formed before the Great War,

[00:05:18] before the bombs dropped. And this is kind of surprising when I first started digging into

[00:05:24] Fallout lore years ago and learning a little bit about things, I thought that the Enclave

[00:05:29] would have been something that popped up after the war, like after the bombs, and that it was

[00:05:34] formed out of the remnants of the US government. But the people who were in charge of the Enclave

[00:05:38] sort of came to power a decade or more by some accounts of into power way before the bombs

[00:05:46] dropped, which I think is really interesting. And that's actually really cool that you're

[00:05:52] seeing like the start of this of this group almost, I mean, almost 20 years before the

[00:06:00] bombs dropped. Yeah, and knowing anything about authoritarian governments and shadowy

[00:06:07] organizations, what kind of people do you think were involved in this? Probably the best and

[00:06:13] nicest people mankind's got to offer, no corruption. I mean, honestly, they probably could have saved

[00:06:19] the world from the bombs. That's a take. That's a take for sure. So we had some,

[00:06:27] like you said, some very nice uncorrupt politicians that would never do anything wrong,

[00:06:32] including the very uncorrupt president of the United States in this timeline. He was a member

[00:06:37] of the Enclave. We don't know his name during the time of the Great War, but we do know that

[00:06:41] the president of the US was very high up in the Enclave and sort of the figurehead of it.

[00:06:46] Oh, wonderful. And they also had deals and these packs of sorts with different industries

[00:06:55] and companies. And the Enclave is we're going to get into this a little bit later,

[00:07:00] but the Enclave is actually responsible for Vault Tech and all of that. They're the ones who commissioned

[00:07:06] all of the vaults in funded Vault Tech. In an effort to perform experiments and gain knowledge

[00:07:11] on human conditions, the organizations that would become the Enclave later commissioned

[00:07:17] something called Project Safe House. And Aaron, what the fuck is that? Why can you tell me?

[00:07:22] The gist of Project Safe House is that the people who were in the Enclave,

[00:07:30] they knew that nuclear war was coming. The basic gist of fallout at this time right before the war

[00:07:35] was all of the important people in the world knew that this shit was ending. They knew that the

[00:07:40] world was gone and done for. So instead of trying to save the world and stop the bombs

[00:07:49] from dropping, they just thought, well, why don't we build fallout shelters instead? Which is certainly

[00:07:56] an interesting way of going about it. Yeah, that's what I would have done though, I guess.

[00:08:01] I mean if the world's gone you gotta have some kind of backup plan, I suppose.

[00:08:08] Yeah and so you would think that the purpose of the vaults was originally keep people safe

[00:08:14] underground until the world is habitable again. But do you know what the actual point of the vaults

[00:08:19] were originally? I do not. What were the original points of the vaults? The vaults were meant to

[00:08:29] test how humans survived in different conditions, gather information, and then once the Enclave had

[00:08:35] enough information they were going to build a big spaceship and leave Earth and colonize

[00:08:41] another planet instead of taking over the Earth again. They were just going to...

[00:08:44] Oh, they were just going to fuck off. That's...

[00:08:46] Yeah. Wow.

[00:08:49] Yeah, they were like, let's gather some data from these vaults, figure out how humans survive best,

[00:08:54] figure out what the fuck is wrong here and we'll get the fuck out and head to another planet.

[00:09:01] Yeah, that's a great way to do things honestly.

[00:09:05] Yeah.

[00:09:05] Good for them.

[00:09:06] Absolutely. And Vault-Tec, in exchange for creative control over many of the vaults with their experiments,

[00:09:13] decided that they would fund Vault-Tec and that's how we sort of get the beginning of this corporation

[00:09:19] really coming to prominence in the United States, which is... it's interesting.

[00:09:25] Yeah. For any of the vaults, the Enclave like creative control vaults, do we see those in the game? Like what?

[00:09:32] Yeah. So it's not right.

[00:09:34] What do they do with their creative control? I guess is what I'm wondering.

[00:09:38] So any of the vaults where you see experiments, there's a good chance that the Enclave were the

[00:09:43] ones who put those experiments in place. So if you think about any of the vaults where

[00:09:49] they had fucked up shit happening, basically it's pretty...

[00:09:52] Most likely the Enclave.

[00:09:53] Yeah, most likely the Enclave. The fallout show, spoilers for that gave us a little

[00:09:59] bit more insight that a lot of big corporations were also responsible for these

[00:10:03] vault experiments, which is really cool. I think that expanding on that and giving us a little

[00:10:08] bit more insight is very interesting.

[00:10:11] Yeah, I know it's definitely awesome that we're getting more info on that.

[00:10:16] Richard, what's your favorite Vault-Tec experiment?

[00:10:20] That's not fair because that's gonna make you sound evil. The control vaults you monster.

[00:10:27] The control vaults? Oh my goodness.

[00:10:30] At the same time the Vault 33 one is kind of funny.

[00:10:33] Remind me, what was the Vault 33 experiment?

[00:10:37] I think they never 100% confirmed it but at the same time they were talking about it in that

[00:10:43] meeting. At the end was a vault that was way too small and you came over populated and

[00:10:50] there wasn't enough food for them and then they all kill and eat each other.

[00:10:55] Yeah, that's an interesting.

[00:10:56] As we saw them do.

[00:10:58] Well not do but we saw the after effects of it.

[00:11:01] Yeah.

[00:11:01] What's your favorite Vault you fucking sicko?

[00:11:05] Thanks for putting that on me. God.

[00:11:08] Well if I had to pick one they really like the Vault where they have a cloning machine

[00:11:14] and by the time you find it it's just a bunch of clones of a guy named Gary and

[00:11:18] all they can say is their name.

[00:11:20] Gary.

[00:11:21] Gary.

[00:11:22] It's a pretty good one.

[00:11:24] That one and the one where they pump fucking psychedelic drugs into the air supply and

[00:11:29] everyone has gone crazy and is constantly drugged.

[00:11:33] That's fun. I forgot about that one.

[00:11:35] I'd like to change my answer actually to that one

[00:11:40] and fuck the control vault too honestly psychedelic drugs in the air supply is

[00:11:43] way funnier than anything else.

[00:11:46] Right if you're going to be living underground you might as well

[00:11:49] be having fun while you're doing it.

[00:11:51] Yeah tweaking. Oh my god I love tweaking.

[00:11:54] Exactly but unfortunately we're getting a little bit off track here with my stupid

[00:12:00] ass questions so let's continue on with the enclave.

[00:12:03] Let's talk about Poseidon energy making some deals.

[00:12:06] All right.

[00:12:07] Yeah and do you know anything about Poseidon energy other than the fact that

[00:12:13] they were a big company in Fallout?

[00:12:15] I don't know if they were a big company.

[00:12:16] I know that they had a big power plant in West Virginia because of Fallout 76

[00:12:23] and we captured that power plant one time there and it was pretty cool.

[00:12:27] We did.

[00:12:27] We got our fusion core production up and running.

[00:12:30] That was a fun time.

[00:12:32] Poseidon energy is also responsible for maintaining and controlling the largest

[00:12:40] oil rig out in the Pacific which has control over one of the last remaining

[00:12:45] oil deposits in the world.

[00:12:47] Oh.

[00:12:48] So that's a pretty big deal.

[00:12:50] That is.

[00:12:50] And this oil rig whatever you think of an oil rig

[00:12:55] fucking times 10 like this thing is.

[00:12:57] Double it and give it to the next person?

[00:12:59] Yeah double it and give it to the next person.

[00:13:01] This thing is crazy and it's got production capabilities.

[00:13:06] It has room for people to farm and have livestock and all this other

[00:13:14] shit.

[00:13:15] Now the enclave made a deal with Poseidon energy in which they would take control off

[00:13:20] of this massive oil rig off the coast of California and this is going to become

[00:13:24] the base of the enclave and the home of the president of the United States

[00:13:28] in the aftermath of the Great War.

[00:13:30] So enclave fucks off to an oil rig in the aftermath.

[00:13:35] And you know they are so real for that because I would not want to be in the

[00:13:38] continental United States after the arms dropped because fuck that.

[00:13:44] Yeah.

[00:13:44] So I can't blame them.

[00:13:46] I mean fucking off to space seemed funnier but I guess they just they weren't good enough for it.

[00:13:53] Yeah sometime after going back to the whole space thing because I don't think we gave

[00:13:58] that one enough air time.

[00:14:00] Probably not.

[00:14:01] I gotta hear whatever you got.

[00:14:03] Yeah so very shortly after the Great War we don't really understand why we don't get a reason for

[00:14:09] why but the enclave basically abandoned that plan and they're like nevermind we're gonna

[00:14:15] genocide the entire earth destroy everything and just start over again.

[00:14:20] We're going to recolonize earth instead.

[00:14:21] So that becomes their goal instead of colonizing another planet is to kill every single

[00:14:26] mutated thing on the planet and just start from scratch.

[00:14:30] Yeah.

[00:14:31] Huh that's I mean that's one way to do it for sure.

[00:14:35] Yeah genocidal maniacs on an oil rig like what what more could you ask for out of a villain.

[00:14:41] These guys are straight up horrific.

[00:14:44] They really are and I fuck with that.

[00:14:47] Yeah but I can't lie.

[00:14:50] It's all about the aesthetic with villains.

[00:14:53] It really is.

[00:14:55] And they've got that part down without a doubt.

[00:14:57] Oh my god yes it's amazing.

[00:15:01] So this isn't technically I'm not sure where to place Fallout 76 in all of this but they have

[00:15:10] some information about the enclave about the founding of the enclave that is I guess it's

[00:15:18] it would be considered canon now right?

[00:15:20] I mean Fallout 76 is canonical.

[00:15:23] Yeah I haven't seen anything saying it isn't canon so

[00:15:28] we're gonna have to say it is.

[00:15:30] Yeah so one of the things that the enclave did when it was getting itself on its feet was

[00:15:35] the Department of the Treasury was embezzling money from the United States Government to fund

[00:15:40] enclave projects.

[00:15:42] Well that's fair that's fun I love embezzlement.

[00:15:45] I mean I don't for legal purposes I do not that would be wrong and mean but off the record

[00:15:52] yes I do love embezzling money it's great it's the best thing in the world.

[00:15:55] Yeah exactly I embezzle money every single day of my life.

[00:15:59] I am embezzling and then with my embezzled funds I go to the casino and put it all on red.

[00:16:05] Exactly it doesn't work.

[00:16:07] You know 99% of gamblers quit before they win big Richard and you just need to keep going.

[00:16:12] You know whenever I'm gambling I think of that picture with like the two dudes in

[00:16:16] the mine and the one dude's about to hit it big but he turns around.

[00:16:20] That's me when I'm gambling all right I know what's gonna happen and I just I can't turn

[00:16:25] around I gotta keep going.

[00:16:26] If you were an enclave member you were the head of the Department of the Treasury what

[00:16:31] would you do with your embezzled funds what would be the first thing that you did?

[00:16:34] I think I just said I would go gambling are you getting me though?

[00:16:37] Yeah okay I got a kind of luck I got this.

[00:16:40] Well you see the Enflav did something different and they decided to put a big vault in West

[00:16:44] Virginia and put all their money in there and keep it all in there.

[00:16:50] And also in Fallout 76 we get some information about how the Secret Service was a part of the

[00:16:55] Enclave which we know of one very famous yeah very prominent member of the Secret Service.

[00:17:03] What is the name happening? Frank Horrigan?

[00:17:06] His name would happen to be Frank Horrigan and if we ever do an episode about Fallout 2

[00:17:12] you best believe we're going to be diving into him but just know that's an important name

[00:17:16] when it comes to the Enclave is Frank Horrigan.

[00:17:19] I just think he's a silly little guy all right.

[00:17:21] I haven't seen that clip of him uh masquerading the vault dwellers as the door opens

[00:17:27] but that's that he's just being silly.

[00:17:29] He has some anger issues but other than that I mean who among us doesn't have

[00:17:35] anger issues like that right?

[00:17:36] Right I mean when I need to blow off some steam family of four you're gone get out

[00:17:42] Sunzone all right it's just thanks I'm making notes of all of this for the police report the

[00:17:49] embezzlement the family of four families for families of four.

[00:17:55] Yeah if you hear sirens outside your home don't worry about it.

[00:17:59] And they would never be for me.

[00:18:01] No absolutely not and so the Enclave is born from this cabal of shadowy figures this

[00:18:09] group of very maniacal evil people who want nothing more than to destroy the wasteland

[00:18:17] perform fucked up experiments and recolonize the wasteland.

[00:18:21] Now for the sake of not spoiling too much about the games and not getting into too

[00:18:27] much info that we're going to be covering in future episodes we should talk a little bit

[00:18:31] about the structure of the Enclave and then I think that other than that this is going to

[00:18:37] be a little bit of a shorter lore video or lore episode a little bit less information than

[00:18:44] we've done in the past couple episodes just because there's less about the founding of

[00:18:49] the Enclave but I think it's still important nonetheless that's why I tried to fold in a

[00:18:53] little bit of the Vault tech information as well because we're not doing a full episode

[00:18:57] on their origins this is sort of a two for one I guess.

[00:19:00] Yeah yeah I get that so without further ado I guess let's dive right into the structure.

[00:19:05] Yeah so who would you imagine is the head of the Enclave?

[00:19:09] Probably like uh based on how it started I'd have to assume like another group of equally

[00:19:15] shadowy equally unknown people.

[00:19:18] That is 100 correct in theory it would be the president of the United States of America.

[00:19:25] Oh yeah but converting expectations is what we do with the Enclave apparently.

[00:19:30] There's all of these little tidbits of lore that say that there is

[00:19:34] Enclave High Command above the president that's really controlling things behind the

[00:19:38] scene. We have not seen them we don't know where they are we don't know who they are

[00:19:42] we don't know what they are all we know is that they exist at some unknown location and that they

[00:19:47] are scary. Yeah I'm sure they seem horrific and evil but who knows maybe they're just a

[00:19:53] bunch of nice guys you ever thought of that way of it that way or they could just be like.

[00:19:57] Fuck I didn't but now that you mention it I'll have to reconsider that they

[00:20:02] could have humanity's best interests at heart. Obviously that's why they created the Enclave Brown.

[00:20:09] Exactly God bless the Enclave. God bless it. So after the war the Enclave actually developed a new

[00:20:19] technology including like we were talking about the advanced power armor you have the X01 the X02

[00:20:27] which the X02 is what the Enclave soldiers are wearing in Fallout 3 the X01 is what

[00:20:32] they're wearing in the previous games and it can be found in Fallout 4 and a bunch of other games

[00:20:37] and then the X03 Hellfire is a sort of a special forces type of power armor and they have these

[00:20:45] flame throwers that almost act kind of like Greek fire and it's yeah the Enclave has all

[00:20:51] sorts of technology that's very cool. They also developed advanced vertebrates which are these

[00:20:56] they make up the air force of the Enclave. Oh nice one thing about the X03 just curious is that

[00:21:05] similar to the power armor that Frank Horrigan wears? No so by this point the X02 and X03

[00:21:14] power armor have not been developed yet when Frank Horrigan isn't yeah so Frank Horrigan

[00:21:20] is over on the west coast and he's in a modified suit of X01 advanced power armor so not exactly the

[00:21:28] first model of it but a more advanced version and Frank Horrigan is also like a super mutant

[00:21:35] so he needed power armor yeah he needed modified power armor to fit himself so this guy is

[00:21:41] fucking insane think about a super mutant also wearing power armor guy was unstoppable.

[00:21:47] Well yeah because I mean a super mutant is basically a normal person wearing power armor

[00:21:52] already so then giving a super mutant like basically doubling its fucking strength and

[00:21:57] everything is insane. Yeah and Frank Horrigan had the strain of FEV that makes you more intelligent

[00:22:05] as well as stronger. That's what we'll tell. So if you look in the game's files and you

[00:22:11] look at Frank Horrigan's stats he has max of every single stat in the game. And I think that

[00:22:20] fits I mean he really is just he's the specialist guy out there. He is got 10 out of 10 in all his

[00:22:27] specials and despite the fact that the Enclave doesn't have anyone to fight with it they

[00:22:35] had a navy for a really long time up until the end of Fallout 2. They had the remainder or not

[00:22:42] the remainder but they had almost the entirety of the United States' former Pacific fleet

[00:22:49] under their control. I don't know what they used that shit for because there were no other

[00:22:54] countries for them to fight with their navy but they fucking had one. Maybe it was just a defense

[00:23:00] for like the oil rig. I don't really know what else it could have been I guess. Yeah now if you had

[00:23:07] to guess on the west coast height of the Enclave's power how many soldiers do you think they had?

[00:23:17] This isn't in the outline so I'm throwing you into the water blind here. You really are

[00:23:21] fuck I don't know like 10,000. So that's how many people lived on the oil rig.

[00:23:28] Oh okay. So 10,000 people on the oil rig and only about between 500 and 1,000 members of the

[00:23:38] Department of the Army which is the Enclave's like core military which I think is crazy low when

[00:23:44] I was doing the research for this episode I would have thought it was so much more with how

[00:23:50] fearsome the Enclave is. Yeah that's why I figured like 10,000 seemed like a good guess but

[00:23:57] I guess not. Yeah the Enclave that we see in like Fallout 3 is a lot more muted and less powerful

[00:24:05] like the average Enclave soldier that you fight in Fallout 3 is nowhere near as powerful as the

[00:24:11] Enclave soldier that you fight in Fallout 2. You have an encounter with an Enclave soldier in

[00:24:17] Fallout 2 and you might be cooked like those guys are tough as nails. Right and that definitely

[00:24:25] helps being like close to the main base of operations they probably have better trainers and everything.

[00:24:31] Yeah it could also be just a fact of Bethesda when they took over the series they wanted

[00:24:38] the Enclave to be a little bit easier I don't know if it was something with the balancing

[00:24:43] but it's interesting nonetheless to think about that maybe the Enclave is in decline

[00:24:49] not even a little bit in decline quite a lot. Yeah. Now since you are the famous Captain

[00:24:58] Genji McRichard, oh my god never living there. What do you think that the name of the most

[00:25:06] famous Enclave president was from Fallout 2? I don't know probably something to do with my name

[00:25:16] somehow. President Dick Richardson. Wow that's just that's me that's me motherfucker. That is you.

[00:25:25] Was he born in 2004? Oh my god. Speaking of being born in 2004 aside from being sick

[00:25:35] what else happened last week? It was my birthday on the day I was so sick I couldn't talk.

[00:25:42] Yeah happy birthday Richard. Thank you Eric. Appreciate it. If you're out there listening

[00:25:50] everyone send Richard a little happy birthday message in the Discord or something. Everyone

[00:25:55] wish him a happy birthday. You all do not have to do that but I appreciate it thank you.

[00:26:03] All right and now that we've learned a little bit about the Navy and the Army

[00:26:10] only one branch of the military left to think about and that's the Air Force. I mentioned earlier

[00:26:15] that we've got some fancy vertebrates, fancy helicopters developed and those were created

[00:26:22] in the Enclave's like production facility on the oil rig which is crazy they had their own

[00:26:27] production capabilities for vertebrates, for power armor, for laser weaponry they were really

[00:26:32] doing it all on this fucking thing. Yeah which is pretty impressive for post-apocalyptic although

[00:26:38] I guess they did shit most of their like materials and equipment over before the apocalypse started

[00:26:46] but still impressive enough to keep it up. The Enclave Air Force was the most prestigious

[00:26:53] of any of the branches of the military and you know air support in the apocalypse was

[00:27:00] something that was crazy that no other organization had that at the time up until

[00:27:05] the time when the Brotherhood of Steel ended up getting those production details from the oil rig

[00:27:11] in Fallout 2. Them and the NCR got the means and the knowledge to produce their own power armor and

[00:27:17] their own laser weaponry, their own vertebrates so the fall of the Enclave was I guess the

[00:27:23] sort of genesis of the height of the Brotherhood of Steel's power. Right. And as far as the

[00:27:29] structure of the Enclave goes that's about it you know it's a pretty basic organization if you

[00:27:36] think about their military it's very much based off of pre-war American military and there's not

[00:27:44] a whole lot else that goes into them. They're just a fascist version of the United States of

[00:27:49] America is basically their structure. Yeah which I mean I guess makes some sense given

[00:27:57] their roots as a shadowy cabal. Yeah absolutely now before we go let's talk about their goals and

[00:28:07] what they want to accomplish out in the Wasteland which we touched on just a bit earlier.

[00:28:12] Richard what do you know about what they want to do to the Wasteland? Well someone didn't

[00:28:17] put this in the outline so I don't know. I'm not 100% sure I'll be honest. Kill all mutants.

[00:28:26] They created the fucking oh my god that's it's so wild because they created mutants.

[00:28:33] The FEV is their creation. Their goal is to modify the FEV and create a strain release it on the

[00:28:44] wasteland that would just murder anything with a mutated cell which includes most humans because

[00:28:53] even the humans who haven't been turned into ghouls or mutants still have slight mutations from

[00:28:59] the radiation being exposed to radiation. They would all be dead under the enclave's plan as well.

[00:29:05] So would this count like I'm just wondering for myself here would this count people with

[00:29:10] genetic mutations such as being a fucking ginger? You know you'd be safe Richard because you

[00:29:18] haven't been exposed to the fucking nuclear bombs. I have so. Being a ginger is a genetic mutation.

[00:29:30] I think that it's more like you've been exposed to radiation and you've got some

[00:29:36] like cancer cells or something like that's the type of mutation that they're

[00:29:42] targeting here with with their thing. So I know you're lying to me buddy all right.

[00:29:47] Like if I die to these fucking unclei unclei bastards for the way I was born or we're fighting.

[00:29:55] We'll say that the red heads are safe for now and you know you should take your chances.

[00:30:01] We'll see how it goes. I should take my chance. You should take your chances.

[00:30:06] All right buddy. I see how it is. All right so they're going to recolonize the wasteland.

[00:30:13] That's their whole fucking deal and unfortunately they don't really accomplish it. They get their

[00:30:18] asses beat every single time not because they are technologically inferior. They in fact

[00:30:24] are really powerful. It's just that they don't have the numbers to support large campaigns

[00:30:28] so they get their asses beat by the NCR by the Brotherhood of Steel but now that the

[00:30:33] Fallout show has reintroduced them as a player in the wasteland we have to wonder what is their

[00:30:38] role going to be moving forward. I don't know and it's going to be interesting if like if they can

[00:30:43] manage to also attain that cold fusion like what could happen if young clave gets infinite energy

[00:30:51] like that's something to look out for that's not going to be fun. The NCR having it like we

[00:30:56] know them they're going to be cool and nice with it and they're going to be good.

[00:31:02] They're going to be good by it. The Brotherhood it's a little on the fence there about what they're

[00:31:09] going to do but I feel like if the Enclave gets their grummy little mitts on it like that could

[00:31:15] be a huge problem. It definitely could be a problem. It's going to be a little scary for us

[00:31:21] going forward but I'm excited to see what's coming from the Enclave. I think that we're

[00:31:26] going to be getting them hopefully in the next Fallout game which it seems like Microsoft

[00:31:30] is really trying to push up. Yeah. With the success of the Fallout show I think that we're

[00:31:34] about to see a new age of Fallout content coming out. We're going to see games and tie-in merchandise

[00:31:42] things like that that would have never been possible before this so I'm really hyped for

[00:31:47] the future of Fallout. Yeah it's going to be great. This is going to be our last sort of

[00:31:52] background information faction origins episode for the time being. We might go back if

[00:31:59] we decide to move over to the East Coast but right now we're sort of focusing exclusively or

[00:32:04] not exclusively but mostly on the West Coast because that's what's relevant to the Fallout

[00:32:09] show and we know that a lot of you are here for that so we're going to move on next week

[00:32:15] and go on to some of the actual stories of the Wasteland. Now that you all have the origins

[00:32:20] of these factions we can get into how they've interacted with each other and some of the

[00:32:24] really cool stories that Fallout has to offer. Yeah and eventually after we get through those

[00:32:29] we were talking in the Discord with a few people and we are planning on also getting to like the

[00:32:33] monsters or abominations or whatever you want to call them. I guess monsters maybe not the right term

[00:32:41] but yeah we'll have to we'll definitely get to that down the line and we are definitely excited

[00:32:46] to keep going with this. I mean it's been fun so far. We're also really excited. I think

[00:32:52] we should just unveil it now. Like we're pretty excited for our next project. Yeah we've

[00:32:58] talked about it a little bit and and hints it added a lot that we are going to have Richard you

[00:33:04] want to take it away because this is kind of your your baby. This is our brainchild yes um we're

[00:33:09] going to do the a new series on this channel called the All-Knowing's Lower Corner which

[00:33:15] is going to be based on Elden Ring Lore. We were going to record it last week but again

[00:33:21] sick as hell I was having a skill issue but hopefully this this weekend we should be able to

[00:33:28] get it that's going to be me, Chase and Erin. We're starting with like just the timeline to

[00:33:34] sort of generally give us an outline of like what events happen in what order mostly a lot of

[00:33:41] just like skimming but after that we'll go into more specifics. I think after that I've got

[00:33:46] planned out the like golden lineage just to give us like some actual information on them

[00:33:51] then after that we'll go into more events and stuff but I'm I've been excited to do this.

[00:33:55] It's it's been the only thing I've talked about for so long and it's going to be fantastic.

[00:34:01] Sweet. I'm really excited for this one because you know a lot more about Elden Ring

[00:34:05] Lore than I do. So when we get into this you're going to be able to teach me a few things

[00:34:12] which is really what I'm looking forward to especially with the DLC coming out in less than

[00:34:16] a month. It's like what two weeks away? It is from Friday it's three weeks. I'm super excited. I'm

[00:34:23] actually uh I think I told you this but that same day I'm getting my first tattoo on my shoulder

[00:34:27] and so hoping when I come home for my tattoo appointment as I did order the collectors edition

[00:34:33] I'm hoping that 18 inch tall figure of Messimer is going to be sitting on my porch

[00:34:38] and then I can put 18 inches of Messimer next to 19 inches of Venom and that'll be cool.

[00:34:45] I'm super excited for that DLC dude. That new story trailer just I want to fight Messimer so

[00:34:51] bad now because he just looks so menacing. Yeah absolutely and not only that but if you

[00:34:59] are a fan of the Lorehounds and you've listened this was on our feed as well as the Lorehounds

[00:35:06] feed and some of the other affiliate feeds but it is officially hot lower summer and do the thing

[00:35:33] There's a lot of things loaded into the soundboard today I think that was all from

[00:35:36] from yesterday when we recorded the hot lore summer. Yeah what I was going to get my glasses

[00:35:42] I had my headphones on and I just heard I heard hot lore summer a couple times and I was like oh
