[00:01:16] for what's shaping up to be an incredible season. Hello, Alicia here. Today, the day this is published,
[00:01:41] is my birthday. Well, in some parts of the world still. I already threw an Agatha-themed birthday party with a bunch of lorehounds, and you are now invited to join us. This was actually a secret personality test. I just sent the participants a bunch of questions and asked them to record their answers. And later in the episode, you'll hear me reveal to them what it was actually all about. But you, dear listeners, get to know up front, this is an Agatha-inspired coven personality quiz.
[00:02:11] I'll explain on the other side of the intro music what exactly that means. But by the end of this episode, if you play along, you'll know which type of witch you are and who plays what role in the lorehounds coven. And we'll also take a fun look back on the season as well, of course. So grab a pen and paper if you can to keep track of your own answers. And if you're ready, let's roll that intro
[00:02:34] music. Oh, real quick. We recorded the coven meeting a while ago, so there might be a couple dated references. Like if you're looking for that DC Comics episode John talks about at one point, you'll need to search back a couple months. Though I know they're planning another follow-up soon, so just FYI. Okay, for real this time. Intro music, engage.
[00:02:57] Where do we just find a coven?
[00:03:25] Wherever you are, a coven there shall be. That's beautiful. No, it's definitely not. But it is the coven's dead rule. Within any three-mile radius, there will be a collection of witchy enough people to form a coven. Can you actually jot that down for me? There is a pen in the glove compartment. Hello, and welcome to a special bonus edition of our Agatha All Along coverage for Comics vs.
[00:03:54] A Lorehounds podcast. We're keeping the Agatha spirit alive with a new format that you can play along with at home. Hi, I'm Alicia, your host for this episode, but I am joined by a whole pack of lorehounds, including, of course, Jean, in our quest to form our own MCU coven. What follows is a personality test, which you can take yourself as you listen. I too happen to have a background in more grounded personality test. You'll hear a few of us toss around the words Myers-Briggs,
[00:04:21] for example. That's the one where you get four letters. I'm an ENFP, if you're wondering, but that's not what this is. This is definitely more of the BuzzFeed variety. We're just here to have a little fun, so don't take this too seriously. But how this works is make sure, of course, that you're all caught up in the season of Agatha All Along and maybe grab yourself a pen in a piece of paper if you want to keep track of your own answers. You can pause here for a second.
[00:04:48] Okay, if you're ready. First, I'm just going to read out the questions and options, so note down your picks as you listen, and then we're going to run through the answers sent in by our eight lorehounds participants. That would be me and Jean, of course, plus our fellow lorehounds David and John, whom you've heard popping up from time to time this season. Marilyn shared her feedback toward the end, but you might know her better as the lorehounds Master of Tolkienology and host of the Rings and
[00:05:15] Rituals podcast. Erin, the host of Radioactive Ramblings, has joined us, and you've also heard from Mark and Nicole this season, hosts of Nevermind the Music. Nicole actually was our guest for episode four. And once we've heard all their answers, I will run through the questions and answers again, but this time I will be sharing how the answers are coded so that you can find your own results. And I'll also provide a link in the notes to both the questions and just plain black text and a
[00:05:44] color-coded version so you can track your own answers, and you can have that as a quick visual reference to help yourself score at home. Finally, the coven will get together to talk through our results, and we have an extra task. Our Lorehounds MCU coven's rule is that there can only be one of each witch in our coven, so we will maneuver and finagle to find the best fit to cover all eight corners of our Agatha super coven. So who will be happy with their results? Who doesn't
[00:06:11] get their top picks? And how does it all fit together in the end? Let's find out. But one more important rule for you playing at home before we begin. For each question, I will provide seven multiple-choice answers as suggestions. You do not need to choose one of the suggested answers. You will notice many of the coven members choosing off-menu in their own quizzes. So just for each question where you do go off-menu yourself, note it down, and we'll talk about what to do with those
[00:06:40] answers later. Okay, here we go. The questions and the options. Question one. Who's your favorite character? A. Agatha. B. Alice. C. Lilia. D. Rio. E. Billy slash teen. F. Sharon. G. Jen. And of course, as I said, you can choose any other character that you can think of related to this show.
[00:07:09] Two. Favorite episode. A. Episode 1. Seekest Thou the Road, where Agatha breaks out of her hex. B. Episode 2. Circle sewn with fate. Unlock the hidden gate. About the gathering of the coven. C. Episode 3. Through many miles of tricks and trials. The water trial. D. Episode 4. If I can't reach you, let my song teach you. About killing the curse.
[00:07:36] Episode 6. Familiar by thy side. Billy's backstory. Episode 7. Death's hand in mine. Lilia out of time. And G. Is episode 9. Maiden mother crone. The origin of the ballad. And you might notice that I did not include episodes 5 and 8 because they didn't fit, so feel free to choose those and then consider that
[00:07:58] an off-list answer. Question 3. Biggest villain. A. Agatha. B. Death. C. Billy. D. The road. E. Intergenerational trauma. F. Unanswered questions. G. Our own minds.
[00:08:15] Question 4. Saddest death. A. Sharon, aka Mrs. Hart. B. Alice. C. William Kaplan. D. Lilia. E. Agatha. F. Nikki. G. Agathario's love. Question 5. Show's biggest miss. A. Not enough nature magic.
[00:08:41] B. The structure of the episodes, whether it's length or order. Anything else. C. Too many deaths. D. Anticlimactic finale slash open ending. E. Not enough coven bonding. F. Jen's backstory relatively underdeveloped. Or G. No Tommy nor Hulkling. Show's biggest miss. Okay, question 6. Best action
[00:09:09] sequence. A. Episode 1 Agathario fight. B. Opening the road. C. Singing off the curse. D. The broomstick interlude. E. Lilia takes out the Salem 7. F. Agathario's final fight. Or G. Agatha's fashion murder montage.
[00:09:32] Question 7. Best lore edition. A. Coven lore, including the covenstead rule or amplifying magic, etc. B. Color-coded magic. C. Extended lifetimes for witches. D. Lady death. E. Ghosts. F. A new type of chaos magic. Billy's. G. The road slash the ballad. And again, as always, you can choose off list.
[00:10:29] Question 9. Best side characters. A. The Salem 7. B. The neighbors. C. Eddie, aka Boyf. D. Nikki. E. Lilia's maestra. F. Agatha's centuries of victims. D. Wanda mentions. Okay, two more questions left. Number 10.
[00:10:56] Must have merch. A. A tarot deck. B. The witch's amulets. C. A record collection of all the versions of the ballad. Those three exist, by the way. D. Production stills, which is a frame-worthy frame of your favorite scene. E. Salem 7 Halloween costumes. F. Senior's scratchy rabbit plushie. Or G. Billy's spellbook.
[00:11:23] And the final question. Most intriguing tease for the future. Would that be A. The Tommy or slash Maximoff family drama. B. A new coven of two. C. Agathario's backstory. D. Jen is the way forward. E. More witches out there. F. More marvel mystics and monsters. G. An afterlife coven.
[00:11:53] And again, feel free to pick your own answer. Okay. So that is the quiz. So make sure you have your answers down. And now let's take a moment to hear what the members of the Lorehound's coven chose for each of these questions. What do you know about covens? Ah, um, just that they're drawn together by mysterious forces of fate. And that they're the truest form of sisterhood and... Oh my god, are you taking me to meet your coven? No, those harpies are dust.
[00:12:22] But we do need a coven to access the road. Right. Of course, that makes sense. It is the witch's plural possessive road. So I'll weave all of our answers together per question. And you can use this to remind yourself of what the questions are again, if I went a little too quickly the first time. So, first question. Favorite character? And for myself, I chose Jen. G.
[00:12:50] I've made no secret about having a Jennifer Kale bias going in. In the comics, she was introduced, obviously, as a character in the Man-Thing comics. And Man-Thing's one of my top three characters. Of all of Marvel Plus, she's just been involved in everything from, you know, she had her own coven called the Witches. She's involved with Marvel Zombies. She's connected to Ghost Rider comics. And then Sashir Zameda.
[00:13:17] She just completely brought her to life in this really witty, acerbic way. And I loved her. Can't wait to see more. Now let's check in with the rest, starting with my Comics vs. co-host, Jean. My favorite character, that would be F. Sharon. Why? Because she's a lovely lady. And she looks like she's a great neighbor. And she really cares about people. Okay, David here for my favorite character.
[00:13:46] That's a tough one. I love Sharon a lot, but we barely got to know her. So I'm going to say Agatha. And just because she was so over the top, Catherine Hahn is just amazing. And her portrayal and performance and the range and her kookiness, it was all just really great.
[00:14:11] So I think she was the most entertaining and ultimately my favorite. John here to answer question one. What's my favorite character? The real answer is Ralph Boner. But if I'm going to go with a serious answer, I have to pick Lilia. I'm a sucker for a time-skippy, wibbly-wobbly plotline. Hence my interest in Doctor Who.
[00:14:34] And honestly, after Rings of Power, thinking about the Numenoreans and their need to accept death to have a more fulfilling life, I really love the way Lilia says I loved being a witch and sacrifices herself in the end. Hi, everyone. Marilyn here. Question one. My favorite character? Lilia. I really relate to her divination, her kindness, and her self-sacrifice.
[00:15:00] I also enjoyed seeing her student-teacher relationship and her whole life never-ending story. Aaron here. For question one favorite character, I just have to go with Lilia. Every member of the coven was, to my surprise, really fleshed out, which made this a tough choice. But Patti LuPone's electric performance, especially during Lilia's trial episode, made this a no-brainer in the end.
[00:15:46] Hey, everybody. This is Mark from Nevermind the Music. My answer to question one, my favorite character, is Jen. Why? Because that's the correct answer. Question two, my favorite episode. I would have to say Death's Hand in Mine, episode seven. The whole Lilia jumping in and out of time, in and out of conversations because she's doing so much skipping around was so cool. Such a mind-bender. Kind of reminded me of that one Desmond episode in Lost.
[00:16:15] You know it if you know it. Or maybe even a little bit of season three of True Detective. Aaron again.
[00:16:44] For question two, favorite episode, I once again have to go with Lilia. Episode seven, Death's Hand in Mine. The concept of someone living their life out of order and what they choose to do with that power was just so fascinating to me. And I loved that Lilia ended up right back at her beginning. This is Marilyn again. Question two, my favorite episode. Not surprisingly, would be number seven. Lilia out of time. I love getting her backstory.
[00:17:12] Oh, and I forgot to mention in question one that my close favorite for character, second close favorite character is Billy. And so my close second for favorite episode is episode six, Billy's story. John's answer to question two is predictably episode seven, Death's Hand in Mine. I'm a sucker, like I said, for a timey-wimey story. In fact, I was not really sold on it at first.
[00:17:40] I was like, oh God, we're going to go back and forth and back and forth. And by the time we were by the end, it felt so Slaughterhouse-Five to me. Kurt Vonnegut, one of my favorite authors. Doctor Who, one of my favorite science fiction shows. It just feels like all one of a kind. And since I left it out of my first answer, Patti LuPone is one of the most criminally underrated actors out there. I loved her in 30 Rock. I think she's so funny. I think she really milks every moment.
[00:18:07] And I'm so glad that we had this time with her, even if her character story has come to a close. David, again, my favorite episode has to be episode seven, Death's Hand in Mine. And that's where Lilia sacrifices herself. And it was just so profound and really interesting. And it was just a very moving episode. So it was the one that hit me the most in the feels. Question two, my favorite episode.
[00:18:36] Can I say all of them? But if I had to pick one, it would probably be Lady Mother Crone. And that was Sean, of course. And as for myself, for question number two, I chose episode two to be Circle So Much Fate, Unlock the Hidden Gate, Gathering the Coven. And it was just, I don't know, I just delight in going back and seeing them all meet each other and, you know, getting our first impressions of them.
[00:19:03] And I like it even better now that I know more about the characters. And so you can see how that's reflected, but also hidden in the face they first present when you meet them. So I just love everything about it. Obviously, we get the creepiest Salem Seven stuff there. I think, yeah, that's even creepier than the Broom stuff. And of course, we get that iconic rendition of the ballad. So, yeah, episode two. That's my pick. Now, OK, next up is question three, biggest villain.
[00:19:30] And for this one, I chose E, intergenerational trauma. No surprise there. If you listen to our episode four breakdown, let's check in with the rest of the coven, starting with Jean. Question three. Who is the biggest villain? That would be A, Agatha.
[00:19:59] She is the villain of the story, the villain of her story, the villain of everyone's story that is in this show. David, again here. For the biggest villain, that's a tough one as well. It has to be – I don't see death at all as a villain. Death is doing what death is supposed to do.
[00:20:28] It has to be Agatha. She is causing a lot of trouble in the world and unwilling to face her grief. And that causes her – well, no, no, that doesn't cause her to commit genocide. But anyway, I think she's the biggest villain. John, on question three, I think I'm going to go off menu for this question.
[00:20:55] The real villain was grief here. This was the loss of someone else in our response to it. Grief can be a beautiful thing, but it can also drive us to fall into toxic patterns. And here we have Billy just trying to find some semblance of control after the loss of his whole family and this traumatic experience of being thrust into a new body with no memory of either side, of either person that you were.
[00:21:23] And then you have Agatha on the other side. She lost her son, and she doubles down on being this big, bad witch. And so I do think grief is a big part here. Even you have Rio, death herself is grieving the loss of a body, right? She's saying, I need my bodies to do my job. And because I don't have that body, I'm going to cause so much suffering to force you to give me the body that I was due. Marilyn back again.
[00:21:54] Question three, biggest villain, Agatha. And I would probably also put in intergenerational trauma as a close second. Mark again. Biggest villain, question three. I don't really feel like this had a villain. I don't know, kinda. I know there's antagonists. I know there's fights. Sort of feels like the villains are kind of just other characters that have motivation that sort of doesn't fit with the other characters.
[00:22:50] Aaron back again. For question three, biggest villain, I'm leaning towards Agatha. I had initially thought to answer Billy, but I believe that true villainy requires malicious intent. While Billy's subconscious opening the road led to many deaths in the coven, Agatha's bodies were all on purpose, making her the true villain of this story. Question four. From Marilyn. The saddest death, I think it was Alice.
[00:23:19] She had finally accomplished something that no one in her family had done, but she couldn't live to enjoy it. And I also have a question for you all. Did William Kaplan die completely? I think Billy was implying that there was a certain amount of material in William's body that was also influencing him. Again, epigenetic stuff. Question four.
[00:23:47] The saddest passing. Well, nobody's surprised. It's Sean picked Sharon. She didn't deserve to go out the way that she went out. Alicia here. And yeah, for me, for saddest death, I chose Alice for basically exactly the same reason. And it really sucked that she did. Like, she just, she had just gotten her life back. Like, no, I need to see her at least kick some ass in the afterlife because I got way too little of Alice Wu.
[00:25:03] All right, David, again, for a saddest death, it has to be Sharon. Absolutely. We barely got to know her. She was never a real witch. And she got pulled into this thing that she had no idea of what was going on. So definitely Sharon was the saddest death. Aaron here for question four. Saddest death. For me, it's Nikki.
[00:25:29] Seeing Agatha have the gift of more time with her son knowing someday he would be taken from her didn't make the blow land any softer. I was tempted to say Sharon. However, seeing a child taken from their parent, that's just truly heartbreaking. On question four, John says, the saddest death was Sharon. I have to say it's Sharon because Sharon didn't even need to be there. Sharon didn't deserve anything.
[00:25:59] She was tortured by Wanda. Now she's being killed on the witch's road when she isn't even a witch. It's just a big shame. And Billy's going to have to live with that guilt now. And I think that that's super tragic. Mark again, question four, saddest death. I'm going to go with William Kaplan. That guy sounded so awesome singing his Torah portion at his own bar mitzvah. And then he dies that day. Huh.
[00:26:24] Now that I'm thinking about it, if Billy Maximoff takes over his body, would he also be a good singer? What if like the physicality of William has a good sort of good set of chords, but the brain of Billy doesn't really have the capacity to sing into? Never mind. Aaron here for question five, the show's biggest miss. Without a doubt, it's got to be Jen's backstory being relatively underdeveloped.
[00:26:52] And being one of the few members of our coven to make it out alive, I'm sure that we're going to get more from her in the future. However, I loved her character and the way that she stepped up to be one of the most fiercely loyal witches in the coven after beginning in such a cynical place. And I just would have liked to see much more of her. And I just would have liked to see much more of her. Because obviously, I wanted to see some of that comic stuff make it in. I wanted to learn so much more about the teases we got about her hoodoo background. And yeah, I'm just so excited to see more from her.
[00:27:21] But since we do get to see more of her, I guess I just wish there's a little more coven bonding. I really loved the end of episode four, especially when they were just like sitting around the fire. And there was just a moment of respite where they didn't all hate each other. And I think if this show could have been maybe two episodes longer, we could have gotten just a little bit more of that, which would have made even more impact at the end.
[00:27:47] Although, obviously, I'm very much in love with everything that we did get. Okay, let's see what Jean said. Question five. The show's biggest miss. I'm going to go with H.
[00:28:16] There was no big miss for me on this show. Mark again. Question five. Show's biggest miss. I'm going off the list of options here. And I'm going to say episode one. Tonally, it just feels mismatched to the rest of this season. I know that's on purpose. I know what they're doing. Just doesn't really fit in with the overall vibe. At least not the first half hour or so of it. Okay, David again for the biggest miss.
[00:28:42] I guess this is – it has to be Jen's backstory. We never really found out that much about that guy when we got an answer to the questions, but we never really learned more about her like we were with some of the other characters. Marilyn back again. Question five. The biggest miss. To me, it was ignoring the spiritual aspects of witchcraft.
[00:29:09] When you think of some of their basic ethical statements, harm none and do what you will. The rule of return, which says everything you send out turns back to you multiplied. Even Aleister Crowley said love is the law. And I really didn't see any of that in this series. Question five. I, John, say the show's biggest miss was not having Hulkling.
[00:29:37] I don't even read the comics, but from what I can tell, I heard on an interview that the writers wanted to put Hulkling in the story and they clearly had a plan for that. And I think that would have been a really good way to develop new Billy, Billiam's backstory a little bit more. I think that would have been great.
[00:30:38] Question six. The best action. Oh, wow. That would be for me. Huh. That would be A. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That would be F.
[00:31:01] I will not say what this name is, but that would be the final battle between Agatha, Billy and Rio. Mark again. Question six. The best action scene. Definitely opening the road. The first time we get the full song, the first time we see the Salem seven doing their thing. Super cool. David, again, for best action.
[00:31:28] I think it has to be the opening of the road and the coming of the seven. That seemed to have the most kinetic energy to it. Or question six, the best action. I was also tempted to go with the opening of the road. But I ended up going with the broomstick interlude. It was the most exciting of the action for me. It was just that nice moment where you get, you know, them just all having fun together. Who are left? RIP Sharon. Yeah, it was just a really beautiful moment of connection.
[00:32:08] Aaron again. For question six, best action. I would have to put the coven singing off the curse high above any other sequence. Lorna's version of the ballad was just so damn catchy. And the concept of a hit song being a protection spell and eventually being the catalyst for breaking an intergenerational curse. That was just so innovative and fun to watch. Marilyn back with question six. The best action. To me, that was opening the road.
[00:32:36] That whole sequence was really very, very cool. And it was at the beginning, so all kinds of possibilities existed. The visuals were especially delightful. John's answer on question six. I'm going to say it's Agatha's fashion murder montage. What a joy to watch Catherine Han do shimmies and change her outfit all the time and just really sarcastically be like, yes, the witch's road is real in her eyes.
[00:33:05] But she really knows she's just going to beat these people into attacking her. And it's a really efficient way to gather multiple witches around and make sure she is maintaining her power growth, I guess. Does she lose power over time? That's a question I have. Does she lose power over time? Or is she just adding to her power over time? John, on question seven. The best lore edition has to be the road.
[00:33:31] And I know it's cliche because this whole thing was about the witch's road, but Agatha's callousness and Agatha's creativity and the fact that this whole ballad came from a place of love but ended up being turned to a darker purpose and weaponized as a weapon of love really was an amazing twist for me.
[00:33:54] And the way that they wove that in made the fact that this was essentially a repeat of WandaVision's fake world fresh. And that's so impressive. I can't believe that they pulled that off because there was a lot of discussion midseason of if this is a fake world again, will we be disappointed? And to me, no, I'm not disappointed at all. I'm thrilled with the way that they pulled this off. And I think this goes back to it's not the facts of it's not the plot points that we're seeing. It's the execution.
[00:34:23] And here the execution was A++. Question seven. The best lore edition. Wow. I think the best lore would be The Road, The Ballad of the Road. I was leading towards A, The Coven Lore. But I really think it's G for me, The Road and The Ballad. How it came to be.
[00:34:49] Hi, Alicia here with best lore edition question seven. And while I definitely can't fault John, John, and Marilyn's choice of The Road in The Ballad. The road. I personally ended up going with A, Coven Lore. So that includes like Coven's Dead Rule, amplifying magic, etc. I just thought that was fun. And, you know, she had fun little rhymes for it too. So, yay.
[00:35:55] Aaron here for question seven. Best lore edition. I absolutely loved the added Coven lore in this series. I was tempted to say Ghosts after how fun Ghost Agatha's introduction was. But the emphasis on community and shared power exemplified by the Coven. It's just beautiful. A close runner up for me is that that wasn't on the list. Is that Agatha is Jolene. David here for best lore edition.
[00:36:24] I think it's maybe a... It's not one of the answers that you have here, but it's kind of a hybrided answer. Which is that there is practical magic. And then there is the MCU magic. And I like the fact that, hey, you can just say some words and put some, you know, ingredients together. And if you know how to do stuff, you can make magic happen.
[00:36:51] So I thought that that was great because we get so much of the CGI magic stuff in the MCU generally. So I think that was a very cool lore edition. Mark again. Question seven. Best lore edition. I've seen most of the MCU movies, but I don't read the comics. And I haven't seen many of the shows. So I don't really feel qualified to answer a question I don't know anything about. Well, outside of the classroom, at least. Question eight. Most essential trial. Hmm. Essential.
[00:37:19] If you're talking about essential oils and that kind of thing, then yeah, obviously the water trial. Jen's trial. Aaron here for question eight. The most essential trial. I think that the fire trial, Alice's trial, was the moment when these witches came together and became a real coven. Not just a coven in name for the sake of the road anymore. The group, with the exception of Agatha and Rio, became a cohesive unit that loved and cared for one another in this episode.
[00:37:47] John on question eight. The most essential trial must be the fire trial. And I didn't give Alice the saddest death, but I almost wish I did.
[00:38:12] Because the way that this wrapped up her arc and that they hinted towards it the whole time and it felt right was just incredible. And this was one of the most emotional points of the whole road. I mean, I think the two most emotional points in the road were Lillia's death and Alice's death. And the fire trial was just incredible.
[00:38:34] The way the demon is going into flames on Alice's shoulders and she's still continuing to go on. Give me chills. Which I guess it shouldn't have because she was on fire. Marilyn's answer to question eight. What was the most essential trial? I think it was Billy facing the truth. Though I'm still really confused about how that all worked. Question eight. Most essential trial.
[00:39:04] Wow. The most essential trial. Maybe it's G, Billy facing the truth. I want to go with Jen. Hi, Alicia here. So in case you can't tell, yeah, Joan's answer was Alice's trial was the most common answer for this question. We'll go through what the most common answers were for each question later in this episode. But I am breaking with the coven for this one. I am going with question eight. Most essential trial.
[00:39:34] I think it was A, opening the road because that was the rest of it wouldn't have happened if that didn't happen. So they really had to come together that first time to make it all begin for better or worse. David, again, for most essential trial.
[00:40:04] That's easy. That's the air trial for Lilia's trial. I thought that that's, ooh, but maybe the earth trial. No, I'm going to switch. I'm going to go to the earth trial because that's where Agatha has the moment, you know, a cathartic moment when she could come around and see truth and process her grief. And yet she still does it. She encounters it. She observes it. She understands it.
[00:40:32] And then ultimately chooses not to engage with it. And so I guess maybe that's going to be the most essential. David, again, for best side character. Who's the best side character? I really like Lilia's teacher, so I'm going to go with that one.
[00:41:04] Mark here. Hmm. Question nine. Best side characters. I love the few moments when the neighbors and the other people in Westview would pop in and we would sort of see what this all looked like from their perspective. So I'm going to go with them. I kind of wish we saw more of that. I know they're in the road for most of the show, but if there had been a way where we could kind of see the intersection of their reality and the reality that had been created by Billy, that would have been really cool. Marilyn with question nine. Who is the best side character?
[00:41:34] For me, it was Lilia's maestra. I loved that relationship. I loved the woman. I loved her wisdom. And everybody should have a maestra in their lives, I think. John, on question nine, the best side character has to be Ralph Boner. I'm going off menu. It's Ralph Boner. I mean, come on. Come on. Who doesn't like Ralph Boner? And that actor, I can never remember his name, but he's fantastic in everything he does.
[00:42:03] And he really sold the whole, please don't ask me about this. The deranged Redditor, I say that lovingly as a Redditor myself, was just such a fantastically used trope. So amazing job. I just want to say the Salem seven were kind of disappointing, and I wish they did more with that. Aaron again for question nine, best side character. I've got to say Eddie, aka Boyf, even though he might not end up being Teddy,
[00:42:30] he was a great example of how to represent a loving queer relationship on screen. Alicia here for question nine, best side character. Even though he lost some points for me when he didn't convince Billy that he shouldn't meet up with random Reddit strangers in parking garages. At least he went with him for safety. I guess that they moved, really, and this sort of ominous tone they added to things. But yes, of course, I would have loved to have seen more of them. And I am a bit sad that they seem to be dead,
[00:42:56] because I would hope to see more of them in future projects or seasons as well. Okay, let's check in on Jean's answer. Question nine, the best side character. Oh, the best side character is definitely the Salem seven. Answer is A, Salem seven.
[00:43:24] Question 10, must have merch. Wow. I would say it's the record collection, would be C, the record collection of all the versions of the ballad. David for must have merch. Ooh, I don't have a record player. I'm going to think I would go for the witch's amulets. I think that's a cool idea. That'd be a nice little token. What do you want to say?
[00:43:52] Like analog artifact kind of thing. Aaron again for question 10, must have merch. This is an easy answer. I want that tarot deck. I've never owned or been interested in owning a tarot deck before. Or mysticism isn't typically something I resonate strongly with. But after that Lilia episode, I just need to get my hands on those cards.
[00:44:39] Mark here. Question 10, must have merchandise. I'm going to go a little off list here. An actual official academic dissertation, probably musicologist or something like that, tracking the changes of the witch's road song throughout the centuries up to and including the pop song versions. So we could really see how it morphed, how the lyrics changed, how the tune changed. Obviously, if it's a real dissertation, this thing's going to need to be four or 500 pages.
[00:45:10] They don't give those degrees away for free. Marilyn back with question 10's answer. Must have merchandise. Nothing. Just not into it. John on question 10, must have merch. And for Alicia, for question 10, must have merch. I mean, the tarot deck was so cool. Of course, I really did want all of it. I don't even do tarot and I want it. But I do play Magic for Gathering, so I guess I like cards and gems.
[00:45:35] Especially Agatha's and Jen's with that cool little, you know, path carry file. But, okay, you would think 10 questions, quizzes over? No, if you remember from the beginning, there was a bonus question. So last question, question number 11, most intriguing tease for the future? I went with answer D, Jen being the way forward. And obviously, if you have listened to any other episodes,
[00:46:02] I really want her story to tie in with her comic stories with Manthing. Maybe I'm hoping she might show up in Marvel's Zombies. Maybe connect with some other witches. Yeah, I just I want to see more of Jen's story. And what does that mean? Okay, let's see what everyone else said for this last question, starting with Jean and John.
[00:46:38] Question 11, most intriguing tease for the future? Oh, that would definitely be the Tommy and Tommy Maximo family drama. So that would be the answer is A, Tommy Maximo family drama. The best tease for the future. Thank you. And the most intriguing tease for the future?
[00:47:01] I think it's going to be answer A, which is Tommy and the Maximo family drama. I want to see if Wanda's alive. I want to see if Tommy's going to show up, if we're going to have this growing group of heroes. I don't know. I think there's a young Avengers kind of team building, but I don't know anything about it. So maybe somebody on the podcast when we do this live will be able to tell me.
[00:47:30] Aaron back again for question 11, most intriguing tease for the future? I'm going to have to go with Tommy slash Maximo family drama. Billy's moral dilemma right at the end over whether or not he has killed an innocent person so that his brother might live in the body, that was super compelling. I'm also interested to see how Billy's story will diverge from his mother's with both characters feeling immense guilt over the pain that they've unknowingly caused to people.
[00:47:56] And Marilyn's final answer to the question 11, what's the best future tease? I really like Jen's The Way Forward. I would love to see a series exploring her experiences in her world. I expect she might meet up again with Billy and ghost Agatha. Or maybe they'll introduce us to some completely different characters who want to form a more traditional form of coven.
[00:48:28] Thanks, everybody. Mark here once again. Question 11, most intriguing tease for the future? I'm going to go with Jen and The Way Forward. She was the most interesting character. Didn't get to see a lot about her. Didn't get to really understand what was going on with her life. Definitely want to see where everything takes her.
[00:49:22] And David again for most intriguing tease for the future. It really has to be Tommy because they were setting it up very subtly. Throughout the whole season. I think that that has got to be where... That's the big question. That's the big question that they set up. All we need is a bit of talent. Even the most down and out witches when in close proximity with each other. Bring out a magical spark.
[00:49:52] Okay, so now that we have everybody's answers, let's find out how people scored. So you can also mark up your own answers now at home. We're going to be talking through the rest of the coven, all of these different options too, and talking about what we specifically got as we do the last part of our game, which is figuring out how to fit everyone together. But just in general, here's how the answers are coded.
[00:50:19] So I created colors for each of the different witches. So Sharon is teal, and we called her the accidental slash community witch. Billy, the moon witch, is blue. Rio is the green witch, green man, thus green. Lilia, the divination witch, is yellow, of course. Alice, the protection witch, is orange. Wanda, the chaos witch, is red. And yes, Wanda was a factor in this as well.
[00:50:47] Jen, the potions witch slash healer, is pink. And Agatha, the spirit witch, is of course purple. Yeah, we gave her her purple for sure. I'm just going to be saying the colors for the different answer options, and then you can match it with each of those. So again, Sharon, teal, Billy, blue, Rio, green. Lilia, yellow. Alice, orange. Wanda, red. Jen, pink. Agatha, purple. So question one was favorite character.
[00:51:16] Answer A, Agatha is purple. Yes. Answer B, Alice, is orange. Lilia, C, is yellow. Rio, D, is green. Billy slash teen. E, is blue. Sharon is teal. And last one, Jen, G, is pink. So there you go. And then, so where does Wanda fit in? Well, basically, anytime you answer a question, anytime you choose an option that's not on the list, you get one chaos witch point.
[00:51:45] So you'll see that two of the participants got a lot of chaos witch points for continually going off menu with their own answers. All right. Question two is favorite episode. So A is episode one, Seekest Thou the Road, when Agatha breaks out of her hex. And I coded that one blue because, you know, that's what Billy wanted to do. He wanted to break her out of her hex. So that was a win for him. And that was when this all started.
[00:52:13] For B is episode two, Circle, Soam with Fate, Unlock the Hidden Gate, The Gathering of the Coven. And that was teal for Sharon because she thought she was going to a party. C is episode three, Through Many Miles of Tricks and Trials, The Water Trial. And yeah, that obviously is pink for Jen. Episode four, If I Can't Reach You, Let My Song Teach You, Killing the Curse. And that is orange for Alice.
[00:52:40] Option E, episode six, Familiar by Thy Side, Billy's Backstory. That is green for Rio because she would be very excited about this or excited in a bad way about this breaking of the rules of life and death he did. Episode seven, Death's Hand and Mine, Lilia out of time. That is yellow, of course. And G is episode nine, Maiden Mother Crone, The Origin of the Ballad.
[00:53:07] And that is purple for Agatha because that's where her heart is. And then if you chose episodes five or eight, then that is off list answer. So you get one chaos switch point. All right, biggest villain, question three. A, Agatha, and we coded that for Jen, pink. B, death, we coded that purple for Agatha. C, Billy, and obviously that's green for Rio.
[00:53:36] So Sharon's answer was D, the road, teal. Orange was E, intergenerational trauma because that's what Alice had to suffer through. Billy's biggest enemy is unanswered questions, F. And Lilia's was G, our own minds is yellow. Four, saddest death. So A is Sharon.
[00:54:03] That was Billy's saddest death because he now blames himself for it extra. B is orange for Alice. C is teal for William Kaplan. Because I signed it to Sharon because basically I think it's another innocent person caught up in the witch drama. D is pink for Jen. She was saddest when Lilia died. So D is Lilia and it's pink because that's when Jen was saddest. E is Agatha.
[00:54:32] And it's assigned to Lilia because she'd be sad that Agatha didn't learn enough lessons. You know, sometimes I'm just stretching to make these fit, but that's the way I went with that one. F, Nikki. Obviously that's Agatha purple. And G, Agathario's love. I made that green for Rio. And question five. Show's biggest miss. So A, not enough nature magic is obviously green for Rio.
[00:55:02] B, structure of the episodes, the length and order, etc. I made that for our poor witch out of time, yellow Lilia. C, too many deaths. That's orange for Alice, the protection witch. D, anticlimactic finale or open ending. I made that purple for Agatha. She would have liked even more of a show. Do watch What If, by the way, this season, the Agatha episode. Okay, E is not enough coven bonding. And that's teal for Sharon.
[00:55:31] F is Jen's backstory, relatively underdeveloped. And that's pink for Jen. G is no Tommy nor Hulkling. And that is, of course, blue for Billy. Uh, question six. Best action. A, episode one, Agathario fight is green for Rio. She was obviously enjoying that. Um, B, opening the road is teal for Sharon. C, singing off the curse is orange, obviously.
[00:56:00] For Alice, D, broomstick interlude is blue for Billy. E, Lilia takes out the Salem Seven is, yeah, yellow for Lilia. F, Agathario's final fight is, uh, pink for Jen because Agatha gets what she deserves, quote unquote. Yeah, stretching that one there. But, you know, it goes with the biggest enemy thing. And G, Agatha's fashion murder montage was, uh, the Agatha purple pick.
[00:56:29] Question seven, best lore edition. A, coven lore. That is, uh, teal for our community witch, Sharon. B, color-coded magic. Um, I made that yellow for Lilia because it's kind of like how she labeled them all with tarot cards. But instead, it's the way, the colors of their magic. C is extended lifetime for witches. And that is pink for Jen, who has obviously been taking advantage of that. I hope we find out more about that.
[00:56:58] Um, D, best lore edition, Lady Death. Obviously green for Lady Death herself. E, ghosts, uh, and yeah, obviously purple for Agatha because that was her loophole. Uh, F, a new type of chaos magic, Billy's. And that is blue for Billy. Uh, G, the road slash ballad. And that is orange for Alice because her mom wrote the best known version as a protection spell. Eight, most essential trial.
[00:57:28] A, opening the road. That's teal for our community witch, Sharon. B, the water trial. Jen's trial is pink. C, the fire trial. Alice's trial is orange. D, the spirit trial. Agatha's trial is green for Rio, actually. Because, um, that's when she stood up for Agatha. E, the air trial. Lilia's trial is yellow. F, the earth trial.
[00:57:54] The final trial is purple for Agatha's because that's where she, I, you know, not everyone agrees. But I do think Agatha learned some things and had an arc where she is on the direction toward becoming a better person slash witch again. And, uh, G is Billy facing the truth is blue because that was definitely the most important trial for him. Nine, best side characters.
[00:58:19] A, the Salem Seven is orange for Alice because her coven needs protection from them. Uh, B, the neighbors, especially Herb, is, uh, teal for our community witch, Sharon. C, um, Eddie slash boy, blue for Billy, of course. D, Nikki, purple for Agatha. E, Lilia's maestra. Um, that's obviously yellow for Lilia.
[00:58:43] F, Agatha's centuries of victims is green for Rio, our lady death collecting all those bodies. G, Wanda mentions are pink because I'm hoping for a future team up. 10, must have merch. A, tarot deck, yellow for Lilia, of course. B, witch's amulets, pink for Jen. C, record collection of all the versions of the ballad are, um, yeah, that was orange for Alice because her mom would feature on that prominently.
[00:59:14] D, production stills, you know, which is a frame-worthy, frame-worthy frame of your favorite scene. I made it, I made it teal for Sharon because she let us know that she cares about decor. E, uh, Salem 7 Halloween costumes are green for Rio death because she sure loved watching them go after them. Uh, F, senior scratchy rabbit plushie is purple for Agatha.
[00:59:43] And G, Billy Spellbook, obviously blue for Billy. And the final question, most intriguing tease for the future? A, Tommy slash Maxima, family drama, blue for Billy. B, a new coven of two, purple for Agatha. C, Agathario's backstory, green for Rio. D, Jen is the way forward, pink for Jen. E, more witches out there. Um, I made it yellow for Lilia because she loved being a witch.
[01:00:11] Uh, F, more Marvel mystics and monsters. I made it orange for Alice because people need protection. And G, afterlife coven. I made it teal for Sharon because I, I really hope that she got to join a coven in the ever after. Okay, so tally it up. Which color did you get the most answers for?
[01:00:34] And that is the witch that you are according to this very unscientific, very unofficial, fun, I hope you found it fun quiz. Stick around after the break for more chatter about Agatha all along where you'll find out also what everyone in the Lorehounds got. And hear us struggle to fit people into assigning one per character. And if you like, we'll talk through the methodology if this is something that you want to do with your friends at home.
[01:01:01] Um, regardless, we're really happy to have you as part of our coven. And more thoughts from all of us in just a sec. Down the road, down the witch's road. So listeners will have just heard all eight members of our Agatha all along Lorehounds coven sharing their picks from the season wrap-up quiz. And now I have four of them, five including myself, here live to discuss the results. Hello, Jean, John, Marilyn, and Erin.
[01:01:31] Welcome. Hello. Hello. Hello. Thanks for inviting us. Yeah, so glad you guys could be all be here today. Um, are you ready to find out what this new mysterious format is all about? Uh, my usual wrap-up shenanigans aside. Well, yes, of course. So, I have to tell you the other three coven members who couldn't be here today, David, Mark, and Nicole.
[01:01:55] They've already had the results revealed, and we'll hear from them later in the episode with their reactions and final thoughts on the season. Cool. But for those of us here, um, this is something only Jean knows. This has been a secret personality test. And, um, what we've been doing here is we're creating a coven of all the different witches from Agatha all along.
[01:02:18] And the reason that I asked you all to do this test in advance, um, this time is so that I could, like, map them all out so that we could all represent one witch from the coven. And we'll talk through what exactly that means and how that was done. And also for listeners, um, we'll go through what the coding is for each of the answers. So, you should already have your answers filled in and we'll tell you how you tally up your own points at home.
[01:02:44] Well, I hope this is an APA, uh, approved site personality test instrument that you've been using. So, two caveats. Thank you. The first is that this is very much a magazine style, silly personality quiz with nothing scientific about it. And I do have a background in creating real personality tests and administering them. Uh, so for that reason, and because Nicole's also watching, I feel the need to make it clear.
[01:03:12] This means nothing but fun times. Uh, and also exactly as credible as Myers-Briggs. Well, fine. I mean, to be fair, Myers-Briggs is a little more robust. I think so. Yes, it is. I actually literally studied this, but, uh, so, but also with Marilyn watching, I better also clarify that this is based on silly MCU witchcraft rules. So it does not reflect what is called witchcraft in the real world. Um, this does not make you a witch in real life.
[01:03:42] Caveats out of the way. Basically, the way this worked is that I assigned, um, I created a list of questions and answers. So it's similar to the way I created those lists for the Acolyte and Silo. And I assigned colors to each answer based on which answer, uh, the corresponding character would choose.
[01:04:04] So I took eight witches that are in, or more or less in, um, Agatha all along and assigned each a color. And each color to an answer. Um, and the rules were that only one color could be assigned per answer. So every question has each witch represented in the answer. Some are a little bit of a stretch, you know, and a collected answers to the questions from all of you.
[01:04:30] So you guys all sent that in advance and nobody knew what I would be doing with their answers or, um, how they were color coded or what the purpose was. So let's look at the questions and how they were. So those of you who are in the recording with me, you'll now see a link in the notes where you can see the questions and the breakdowns. So there's eight of us.
[01:04:58] So we used eight witches and I have them assigned in rainbow colors. Uh, so I'm just reading them in the rainbow order I have in my sheet. Uh, so we have as teal Sharon, the accidental slash community, which blue is Billy, the moon, which green is Rio, the green, which or the green man, the green, which Lillia is a yellow.
[01:05:20] The divination, which orange is for Alice, the protection, which red is for Wanda, the chaos, which pink is for Jen, the potions, which or healer and purple is for Agatha, the spirit, which. And, um, so listeners at home, if you are following along, if you've already, you know, got your answers, then I'm going to tell you which color, uh, it corresponds with which answer so that you can tally up how many of each color you have.
[01:05:49] And, you know, the, the one you have, that's the most, that's, uh, your result. So question one was favorite character and a is Agatha is purple. B Alice is orange. C Lilia is yellow. And that was by the way, the most popular answer in our coven. D Rio is green. E Billy slash teen is blue. U F Sharon is teal and G Jen is pink.
[01:06:18] That one was pretty straightforward. Um, question two was what is your favorite episode? And, uh, a was episode one. Seek is style the roads. And that is blue because that is when Billy helps Agatha break out of her hex. Teal is B episode two circle. So much fate unlocked the hidden gates. That's when Sharon was pulled into the coven. She got to do a sing along C is pink episode three through many miles of tricks in trials. That's Jen's trial.
[01:06:46] D is episode four is orange. If I can't reach you, let my song teach you. This is when Alice killed her curse. E is green episode six familiar by thy side. Billy's backstory, which, uh, has some exciting stuff for death. That was my reasoning. Um, F is episode seven. That is yellow. Of course, that is Lily is episode death's hand in mind.
[01:07:10] And that was by the way, the most popular answer in our coven and episode nine was purple mother made in crone. And that is Nikki's story and the ballad origin. So any thoughts about the first two questions from the coven? I'm interested. We all agreed. Yeah. On the first two. Yeah. I have to say, Marilyn and Aaron, you guys are going to have to have a little chat later.
[01:07:36] We'll, we'll get there, but you guys might've agreed a lot. Works for me. You have to physically fight. Really? Will that be the big battle in the sky that we were promised? Yes. Basically. Yeah. We'll have the, not from my end. Obviously the two Lilia lovers are going to duke it out. Um, so, okay. Question three is the biggest villain.
[01:08:06] Um, the most popular answer was a Agatha, which I coded pink because she bound her that bitch. So B is death, which is what I say. Agatha would say. So purple, uh, C biggest villain is Billy because death, uh, that's green because death is obviously called some an abomination. Um, D the road that's teal for Sharon. Has it killed her? Uh, E is intergenerational trauma. And that's orange for Alice.
[01:08:36] F is unanswered questions. That's blue for Billy. And G our biggest enemy is our own minds. And that's yellow for Lilia. Uh, we also got two off list answers. I know I forgot to mention this. Um, if your answers are off the list for any of these, then you get one red point for chaos magic. Wanda. So the first two questions had no off the list answers within our own coven.
[01:09:04] Uh, but this one biggest villain had two. So John said grief and Mark said there was no real villain. They're all kinds of villains. Number four, saddest death. Um, a Sharon who that's the one Billy saddest about. So blue, uh, B Alice orange. C William Kaplan is teal. And I figured I signed that to Sharon because it's another innocent person caught up in the witch drama. D is Lilia.
[01:09:31] And that's pink because Jen was most sad about her dying. Uh, E is Agatha and that's yellow because Lilia would be sad that Agatha didn't learn enough lessons before dying. F is purple for Nikki, uh, is Nikki. That's purple for Agatha. Of course, G is Agathario's love. And that is green for Rio. And I know John wants to say that couple name. Negative.
[01:10:01] Not happening. Not going to repeat it. So what do you guys, do you guys agree with the mapping of the question so far? Yeah. Seems right. Yeah. Seems right. Sure. I don't question mad scientists. I let them rock. I'm with you, John. I'm with you. So the most popular answer for this one was Sharon who in our own coven, but we did get two off list or sorry.
[01:10:30] One off list answer. Nicole said it was a tie between William and Nikki. Both children lost to their mothers. Question five shows. Biggest myths. A, not enough nature magic is green for Rio. B, structure of the episodes, length, order, et cetera. That's yellow for Lilia. C, too many deaths. That's orange for the protection, which D anticlimactic finale. Open ending. That's purple for Agatha.
[01:10:59] E, not enough coven bonding. And that's teal. But so this was, yeah, this was a, we'll come back to the most popular answer. So not enough kind of coven bonding, teal for Sharon, of course. F is Jen's backstory, relatively underdeveloped. And that's pink for Jen. And G is no Tommy or nor Hulkling. And that's obviously blue for Billy. And we had three off list answers for this one. None.
[01:11:28] There was no miss, said Jean. Spiritual aspects of witchcraft was that missing was the biggest miss for Marilyn. And episode one was the biggest miss for Mark. So actually the off list answers were most popular, but the most popular from the list with two each was not enough coven bonding. Jen's backstory, relatively underdeveloped and no Tommy nor Hulkling. Thoughts? I just would have really loved to see more of Jen in this series.
[01:11:56] I think that she was such a standout. So that was definitely a miss for me. That was my pick. I think they might be setting her up for more appearances. I think that's why we didn't see more of her. That better be the case. I mean, they literally called her the way forward. So, yeah. Right. And is she going to appear in Billy and Agatha's Excellent Adventure? Billy and Agatha's Great Adventure? Yeah. With her friend? I won't say it. Joan, you can say it.
[01:12:27] Who is she bringing along with her to Billy and Agatha's Greatest Adventure? I'm not sure that Rhea would come along now. No, it's going to be a mad thing? Is that what you're saying? Of course. Is that what you're thinking? Oh, of course. I mean, I think. But she can also bring Jericho Drum if she wants to. Also Ralph Boner. Also Ralph. I mean, he's got to be back, right? We still don't have his whole story. It's true. Ralph is doing too many one-man shows. He's going to be fine. I think if they just let... What's his name?
[01:12:56] What's the actor? I can never remember it. Evan Peters, right? Yeah, Evan Peters. If they just let Evan Peters improvise a comedy show for an hour and release it, that would do numbers on Disney+. I mean, that seems like a very easy thing to do. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. All right. Continuing with the quiz results. So number six, best action is episode one. Agathario fight is green for Rio.
[01:13:27] B is opening the road. And that was the most popular response in our coven. And it is teal for Sharon. C, singing off the curse. Orange for Alice, obviously. D, broomstick interlude is blue for Billy. E, Lilia takes out the Salem Seven is yellow for Lilia. F, Agathario's final fight. I gave that one pink for Jen because Agatha, quote-unquote, gets what she deserves. And G is purple for Agatha's fashion murder montage.
[01:13:56] And the one off-list answer we got was Nicole, who says all of it. It's a tie. Okay. Best lore edition. A is coven lore. That's things like the covenstead rule, amplifying magic, et cetera. And I gave that to Sharon because she was getting curious about witchcraft lore. B is color-coded magic. And so I said yellow for Lilia because it's like tarot cards, but magic colors.
[01:14:26] Like she assigned them each a tarot card in her head. So yeah, that one was a bit of a stretch. C, extended lifetimes for witches. I gave to Jen because she's been making use of it. D is green for Lady Death. And E is purple for Agatha, the ghost. F, a new type of chaos magic, Billy's. So I made that blue. And G, the road slash the ballad. I made that orange for Alice because her mom wrote the best-known version as a protection spell.
[01:14:55] And that answer, the road, the ballad, was actually tied with our chaos witch answers, which were practical magic versus MCU magic from David. Nicole said it was a tie between coven lore and the ballad. And Mark said he is not qualified to answer this question. I think I may have not specified enough when I said that the best lore edition was the road. I didn't mean the ballad. I meant the road itself. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:15:25] Yeah. Yeah, that's fine. I mean, I just gave the option as a hybrid. And I'll say, does that mean that you like Billy and not the ballad? Because Billy is the road, right? Like, the road doesn't exist apart from Billy. Well, I didn't like the ballad because its origins were so tainted for me. I like that Alice's mother used it as a protection spell for Alice.
[01:15:55] That was good. I was disappointed because the first time we hear it, it was one of the peak moments of the series. And just all the things unfolding and so forth. It was the creativity aspect of it. And yeah. But do the actions? The ballad had too many negative associations for me.
[01:16:22] I don't think I ascribe action to Billy because it was subconscious. It was not based on, oh, good, I get to kill people. Sure. It was based on unknowingly. Again, unknowingly. His will was not in any of the outcomes. And in fact, he didn't get the one outcome he wanted at the end was to find his brother. Yet. Do you think that we get into with this, you know, your your critique of the ballad?
[01:16:52] Do you think we get into what do we do with creations we love that were made by tainted creators? Sure, you could go there. Because we have this the ballad to me began as a loving song between mother and son. And it was later used for evil. It was also later used for good. And that's what makes it so interesting. Yeah. No, I get that. Okay. All right.
[01:17:20] Well, so question eight is most essential trial. And so A is teal for the opening of the road. So that's Sharon. B, pink for the water trial, Jen's trial. C was the most popular answer. The fire trial was Alice's trial. But I have to say this was a really split question. So that most popular answer only got two people choosing it. D is the spirit trial. Agatha's trial. Agatha's trial. And I made that green because Rio enjoyed messing with Agatha for sure.
[01:17:50] E, the air trial. Lily's trial. So yellow. F, the earth trial. The final trial is purple because Agatha, that's the one she really actually properly completed by following the rules. And G is Billy facing the truth. And that's blue because that's most important to him. And we had an off list answer from Nicole again. Earth trial and Billy's truth were tied. Do you have, this was a really divided one. Aaron, which one did you pick again?
[01:18:20] I believe I went with the fire trial for Alice just because I, I really thought that was the moment when the coven came together as a cohesive unit for the first time. And that was just such a kind of heartwarming moment to see from all of these people who were so cynical at the beginning. Yeah. I think I nearly went for that one. And then I went for the earth trial because it was kind of, there was a few lessons learned there.
[01:18:46] I was really pulled to opening the road, but I think Billy facing the truth was the most important one because of the, the realization, the understanding, the learning in his own path of what does it mean to be a chaos magic user? Right.
[01:19:06] And the fact that he, he accepted it, he took on responsibility, which I mean, is noble of him. Again, I would argue that it was not anything that he consciously chose and he made that very clear. And later on said, you know, I'm not going to go around killing witches or whatever it was he said. Right.
[01:19:31] But I mean, to, to, to face that truth and to own it and accept it, that that's big. Yeah. That's way both. Although, you know, I, now I'm one and now I'm doubting which one I chose. I might've chose opening the road because there's them coming together. Alicia, I haven't remembered like half of my answers. Exactly. You're not alone. I wrote mine down people. Come on. Oh my God. I did not.
[01:19:59] I'm going to give you the answer key of what everyone answered in a moment. Oh my God. And listeners will have just heard all of us answer this. So they're like, that's not what you just said. Well, I think that's, that's a good thing though. Right. Because this is a show that had so much good stuff that it's hard to agree on what was the best and worst. Yeah. No, I agree. I agree. Yeah. Most of these questions about the best. And the next one was an even bigger tie. So that's what's the best side characters.
[01:20:25] And so with two answers for each of them, the ties were a, the Salem seven, which I made orange because it involves the covenant even needing protection. C Eddie or Boif, which I made blue for Billy, obviously. Uh, E Lily is maestra, which I made yellow, obviously. Uh, B by the way, the neighbors, um, uh, is in teal for Sharon, of course.
[01:20:50] And D Nikki is purple for Agatha F Agatha centuries of victims is green because obviously real loved that. And G Wanda mentions, um, I made that pink for D. Jen just basically because I needed to make one for Jen. And I thought maybe they're going to team up in the future. I would love to see a Wanda Jen team up in the future. Um, we got one off list answer. John, what did you say?
[01:21:19] I said Ralph Boner because I should have been on the list. Should have been on the list. The guy's funny. I can't, I mean, I guess he is, he's kind of a neighbor, although he's not a neighbor anymore. So I, I separated him out anyway. Right. And, uh, yeah, no, he was just funny. I love the, I love the Redditor vibe. I mean, that's, that's hilarious to me as someone who uses Reddit regularly. I love the idea of like, we're all just sitting there conspiratorially and promoting our comedy shows.
[01:21:50] Yeah. Yeah. In Paramus. In Paramus. All right. I mean, I say, I want to go see his show, but I really hope somebody else is driving me to, to, to Paramus. Are we staying overnight in a hotel there? I don't know. Is there anything else to do there? Um, if you're from Paramus, write it. We love it. I've never been. Uh, but okay. So number 10, um, was must have merge.
[01:22:18] And this one answer was also all over the place. The most popular was the off list, the chaos, which answers, which was Marilyn said nothing, no merge for Marilyn. Um, Nicole says tie and she said all of it, but then she goes on to list just a few particular ones in her answer. So almost all of it. And Mark, his was very specific. He said he wants a dissertation on the evolution of the witches road ballad. Oh, no kidding. That's true to type.
[01:22:47] And, uh, the most popular. So the most popular, so the most popular, the most popular from the list were the first two, a tarot deck, yellow, B, which is amulets pink. And, uh, C was record collection of all the versions of the ballad. And that's an orange because, you know, again, Alice's mom is the most popular songwriter. Uh, you know, version of that D is production stills, a frame where the frame of your favorite scene is teal for Sharon because she cares about decor.
[01:23:19] E is a Salem seven. Halloween costumes is green for Rio because she would love how that would mess with Agatha. Um, F a senior scratchy rabbit plushies purple for Agatha G blue Billy spell book. But can we talk about senior scratchy for a moment? Because I am, but first of all, I've learned that the rabbit who played senior scratchy is named peanut butter. That's going to make eating my food here a little difficult.
[01:23:49] And this is why I'm a vegetarian. It is vegetarian peanut butter. Oh, oh, it makes you think of rabbit. Oh my God. Oh, peanuts are people. My friends. Peanuts are people. They have a life cycle. I'll go that far. Have you, have you ever seen Mr. Peanut? Obviously they have personalities. All right. I'm done. Oh my gosh.
[01:24:16] Well, if we, if we can't eat anything, we anthropomorphize and we're going to starve. I'll just be honest here and say that I don't even remember senior scratchy. I don't remember when you came up. Completely out of my radar. Marilyn, I'm with you. I'm with you. Oh, thank you, John. John, fill them in.
[01:24:45] Who's senior scratchy? Come on. He's her familiar. Who's familiar? Agatha's. Agatha's. Agatha's. Yes. We met, we met senior scratchy, but then I have no memory. Disappeared. Thank you, John. Senior scratchy disappeared right when the Salem seven attacked the home. Yeah. Okay. Maybe that's why I forgot. It was the last time we saw senior scratchy. So was senior scratchy part of the Salem seven?
[01:25:14] No, no. So senior scratchy is from WandaVision originally. And that's Agatha's. Oh, no wonder. Agatha's familiar. And then when she broke out of the hex in the first episode, the first two episodes, we saw senior scratchy again. And apparently they were going to have him be on the road, but that just became too much of a thing. You know, I guess animals are difficult and all that. Oh, and they ended up, you know, paring back on a lot of the things they wanted to do just to be able to focus and not be overstuffed.
[01:25:43] And so to speak. So we saw Billy holding senior scratchy because apparently at one point he was going to run onto the road with him. And then we just don't see senior scratchy again. So obviously this is something they need to address in the future. Hopefully one of the neighbors was looking after senior scratchy. Yeah. There you go. Or else one of the neighbors had a nice vegetable garden. Oh, yes. Okay. All right. Yeah. Well, Sharon, Sharon's garden.
[01:26:11] Senior scratchy is going to be opening up for Ralph Boner at his comedy show. Well, just pour one out for senior scratchy. He's out there somewhere. I know it. I know it. Of course. Peanut butter the rabbit. I hope peanut butter the rabbit is doing well. All right. Final question was most intriguing tease for the future. And the most popular answer was a Tommy Maximoff family drama.
[01:26:41] And that is blue. Obviously B was a new coven of two. And that's purple for Agatha. C Agathario's backstory. Green for Rio. D Jen is the way forward. Pink for Jen. E more witches out there. So I gave that yellow to Lilia because she loved being a witch. Orange and F more Marvel mystics and monsters because I made that orange because people need protection.
[01:27:09] And G an afterlife coven. And I made that teal because I want Sharon in an afterlife coven. And I think she wants it to. Don't you think, Sean? I mean, I can't even talk about Sharon right now. She just wants friends. Can I ask the Marvel heads question? Yes. Question. I've heard talk of Elizabeth Olsen not wanting to do the MCU right now. And that's why we're not getting Wanda. Is that true? No. Not that I heard. Yeah. She said quite the opposite.
[01:27:39] I'm going to say I heard it on an unnamed podcast because I don't want to out anybody. Okay. But I did hear another podcast saying, like, we're waiting on Elizabeth Olsen to want to do this again. I know. I've seen her recently say that she would love to be back in Wanda. Okay. All right. All right. All right. Well, that's good news because I want more Wanda. Yeah. It's just the usual, like, oh, you know, it has to be the right story. But I'm pretty sure that they are already in discussion about that. And even beyond that.
[01:28:10] If I have to look at Robert Downey Jr. again, I want to. Well, we're going to have to, unfortunately. But also, here's the thing. Is the next part of her, in the comics, she does, at some point she dies. And then Billy finds Tommy and then they go looking for her. And, well, I mean, this is a comic spoiler. It's probably going to be different. So skip ahead once if you don't want to hear it. But they find her with Dr. Doom and he's got her under some, like, spell being like a love
[01:28:39] slave to him, basically. I'm like, I don't. Don't want that. I don't want that version of this story. Don't want that story. Don't want that. Yuck. At all. Yeah. At all. Do it differently. Creepy. I mean, MCU's been changing up a lot. But, like, yeah, no, no, no, no, no. But we'll see. She might be part of Doomsday because they're both. Well, is he even from Eastern Europe now? Sorry. I mean, there's too many questions about, you know. Yeah. Johnny Jr. Too many. Yeah.
[01:29:08] Let's not get into that right now. The guy's versatile. Have you seen Tropic Thunder? Yeah. And it's trash. Sorry. I know. That's my joke. That's my joke. I don't want to severe that film. No. It's not. Genuinely think it's good. And every time. I know what he does was supposed to be satire, but it was bad. No, it was in poor taste and it was horrible. Yeah. Agreed. Agreed. Junior strikes again. Yes. Yeah.
[01:29:38] Well, all right. Well, we don't mean to be so hard on RDJ. I used to. I do. I mean it. I used to have a crush on him when I was a kid. But yeah, no, we'll see what comes of this whole situation. But yeah, I don't want the love slave story. Please. Something else. Switch it up. Yes, please. But okay. So those were the results of the quiz. I'm going to share the, you know, the matrix of results with you guys in just a moment.
[01:30:07] But just to say first, this is not how it worked out because we are trying to fit in one of each which per coven. So not everyone got their highest score answer as their, you know, assignment, quote unquote. But if we were just to go by highest score, the results would be for me. Actually, I got Sharon. Oh, wow. Yeah. Wow. And I was actually surprised by that, even though I made the quiz myself.
[01:30:37] But I think it's because I gave her the cozy answers and I'm kind of drawn to the cozy coven moments. My other two highest. So that was four points for me. My other two highest for three each were Alice and Jen. So, Jean, you. I mean, you just straight up. Yours was clear. So this is actually your final assignment, too. So you are Alice. You're the protection witch. Yeah. Yeah. That kind of vibes.
[01:31:07] I could see that. Yeah. If Jean didn't get Alice, I swear. I was about to write. I was about to sign off. I don't even care what I got. I was more invested than what Jean got. Oh, this guy over here. Yeah. I'm not shocked. They're vibes. So, John, if so, you had a tie three each that were your two top scores and you got one of them in our coven.
[01:31:36] But we'll tell you which that is in a moment. But the two that you got three points for were Billy and Lilia. Huh? Marilyn, you you're number one. And we're going to have a little talk with Aaron about that in a minute. Number one. Oh, yeah. Go ahead. Was Lilia. Yeah. Aaron, your number one was also Lilia. We'll come back to this. We'll come back to this.
[01:32:03] And for the three who aren't here live recording with us, David, if he had been on based on just points alone, he had three points for Jen. And Mark, if he had been on points. Oh, sorry. Nicole. She was also another clear winner. I don't you probably noticed by the amount of time she answered off menu. She's the chaos witch. Five points. Highest of any points that anyone got.
[01:32:31] Mark would have also been a chaos witch if it were just based on, you know, points alone. His second two tied for three points were Sharon and Jen. Okay. So you guys are ready to see the matrix of results and what actual coven assignments we got. And I'm going to talk through how I got there because we had to do some tricky, tricky things. Okay. But right after I put in this request that you edit in every time you mentioned people who
[01:32:56] couldn't be here today, you edit in if one be gone, we carry on every single time. I don't know if listeners want to. Well, now that you've put it out there, John, I think they'll just use their imaginations. Yeah. I'll edit in the first time. I promise. If one be gone, we carry on spirit as our God.
[01:33:31] Okay. Fair enough. So the link is in there. If you want to see the results, the matrix of results. It's in the opening so many Google docs. I feel like I'm going through trials. Okay. So the results are Sharon accidental slash community, which goes to Mark. Billy moon, which is John. Our Rio, the green, which slash green man is me.
[01:34:01] Lilia divination, which is between Marilyn and Aaron Alice protection, which John, as we already said, Wanda chaos, which Nicole. As we already said, Jen potions, which slash healer. That is Marilyn or Aaron. Again, it's where you guys are going to have a discussion between these two. And Agatha, our spirit, which is David. And the way I got here is basically. So I took like John Nicole were the two easiest.
[01:34:27] They had the highest scores for themselves and out in of that character. So boom, Sean is orange. Nicole is red. So then I eliminated those colors as options for other players and those players as options for other colors. And then actually, Nicole was the only one who answered any, any of the questions with a Rio question with a Rio answer. Oh, wow. Yeah. So with her out of the picture, there was no one left to take Rio.
[01:34:56] So actually I assigned Rio to myself because I'm since I'm playing. It isn't entirely fair that I do it the same way you guys do anyway, is I'm making the rules. So that kind of jives with death. She's making the rules on this road in a way. I mean, you know, this along with the, you know, the Thanos, you know, adulation. I'm not beating the villain allegations. Oh my gosh. No, no, no. Are you getting worried?
[01:35:25] No villainy. Oh man. Listen, I've called the post pandemic my villain. Yeah. Origin era. Oh my God. Also known as the snap. Yes. So then, yeah, that left John as the only standout in the Billy column and it was one of his two top scores. And the other two, the other one was Lilia, which has the two other candidates we'll get to.
[01:35:53] So John, you're Billy. And that means. I prefer William, actually. William. You'll address me with my preferred name. And do you prefer Uruk? Should I call you a teenager? Don't use my full name. He called him his full name. That's the best joke of the show, by the way. That was the best joke of the show. His full name? Yeah. Them saying they used her. She used his full name. Like that was so well delivered line. It was.
[01:36:23] It was. I need more of Sashio Zamata. Zameda. My second, my favorite nonverbal joke was Agatha's shimmy while doing the montage of the witch's road. That was the best. I think Nicole brought that up in her answers. No, that was such a good one. I have that stuck in my head, too. Oh, and she's wearing like the cutest. I used to be really into Houndstooth as a pattern. But OK, so continuing methodology.
[01:36:52] So then I again, John eliminated from others. Billy eliminated as others options. So with me removed, Mark was now the only standout for Teal, Sharon. And this is where it got tricky. So there were three people left and one of them or two of them could not be assigned their highest scores because we were trying to fit everyone into a different role. So David, he was the one who had the highest score overall for Agatha.
[01:37:18] So even though it was not his highest score, that is he's got that assignment. So that leaves this tie of sorts between Marilyn and Aaron, who both have three points for yellow and two points for pink. So, Aaron, what are your thoughts on this? Well, Marilyn, I think that you out of the two of us do have more tarot knowledge. So I think that the honor of Lilia might have to go to you. Well, thanks, Aaron.
[01:37:48] I'm equally happy to be either. Both are fantastic. If it wasn't for Lilia, Jen would definitely be my favorite character. I've been making a lot of soups lately. So kind of standing over a cauldron. Maybe I have that aspect of Jen. Don't buy any face creams from Aaron. Don't eat candles that he gives you.
[01:38:15] Well, if you looked at my kitchen table, you'd see bunches and bunches of pills and tinctures and all the rest of it. Oh, boy. I could go either way, really. So, Marilyn, what are your thoughts on the results overall? Interesting that Agatha got awarded by default, almost. Yeah, it wasn't. Well, Rio was the one most by default, I guess. But Agatha second most. Yeah.
[01:38:43] I mean, I guess, you know, people. Maybe that means that I did a decent enough job assigning to the, you know, people didn't want the villainous ones, even though I will argue that death is not a villain. No, I don't. Yeah, I think I'd agree with you. Death is not a villain. I don't view it. You can do horrible things and not be a villain. Yeah. More of a force of nature than anything else. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. And we never do find out what authority they're responding to.
[01:39:14] Right. You know, whenever they say, oh, I have to do this or this has to be. Who says so? I'm not sure that it's death himself. Right. Wait, did I say that David's highest score was Lilia? Because it's Jen. Just in case I said that wrong. No, you said Jen. Oh, I did say. Okay. You did say Jen. That's all. I'll do. So, Jean, what do you think overall? You knew going in as you were taking the quiz that this was going to be a personality test for this purpose.
[01:39:42] Do you think that affected your responses at all? No. No. I think, yeah, it didn't affect my responses. And I think my responses were, you know, exactly how I felt about the show. And so there are things that we all kind of agreed on. And I think there are things that we kind of see a little bit differently. And that's how it should be. But again, I'm not surprised that in the end it turned out that I was Alice.
[01:40:13] And so, yeah. Just thinking about her traits and things of that nature. So. Were there any others you thought it might be for you? Actually, no. I didn't want to answer it with that in mind. You know? We're trying to think, okay, I want it to be this. I want to be this character. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
[01:40:39] So I was just like, let me just answer it the way that it comes to me. Instead of really giving it too much thought. And that first answer was, you know, how I felt. So, yeah. I definitely get Protector vibes from you, Sean. Yeah. I am. I am. I am. In real life. Yeah. I truly am. Very much so. Very much so. It shows.
[01:41:08] And, John, how do you feel about being Billiam? You know, it's funny because when the show started, he was the character I was least excited for. Really? Because, yeah. Because, one, I had no idea what was going on with the Wicked. I had no idea that that was possibly Wicked. Because I just have no comic knowledge on that front. And, you know, this is a show that was pitched to me as a show about a bunch of women getting together to feel powerful.
[01:41:37] And to become and to redefine themselves. And then you have this kid. And he's just popping in here. And he's just there. I was like, I don't know if I want you here. I don't know if you belong here. I, much like Billy, I was like, I don't think he's part of the Coven. And the show really proved me wrong. And I'm so glad that it did. Because Billy absolutely was part of the Coven from the first Blackheart.
[01:42:04] And I am so thrilled to see him come into his own as Wicked. He really sells the character. The more, you know, everybody here, I think, knows that I'm starting to get into comics now. And I haven't really gone down the Marvel side as deep as I have the DC side yet. But from what I can tell. Do you hate Marvel? I don't hate Marvel. Alicia is making fun of me. Because I made fun of her a little bit today after certain Joker comments.
[01:42:32] I said, Alicia is a certified DC hater. And so I'm a certified Marvel hater. No. I've actually watched now all of phase one and two of the MCU. I've rewatched it recently. And I've watched Black Widow, too, because I'm doing it in chronological order instead of release order. And I'm really loving it. So I do like the Marvel stuff. I think right now I'm just very interested in a certain thing DC is doing. If you want to hear more, you have to go into the podcast that Sean and I just recorded.
[01:43:03] Woo-hoo! But my point is, it feels like we are going into more interesting aspects of the MCU. More interesting aspects of Marvel comics. And that's really refreshing to me because I am the person who earlier this year on a different podcast asked Alicia who asked for Agatha all along. Me! Yes. I said that. I said those words. And it was the show that got me back into Marvel. So. There you go. I am very happy to eat my words.
[01:43:32] Would you say it cast a spell over you? And now you might. I'm sorry. Are we doing Hocus Pocus now? Oh, yeah. There we go. And would you like some peanut butter while you eat those words? Ba-du-ba-du. Aw. Am I a dog eating a pill? Like, I don't know. Cuddling with a rabbit. You tell us, John. I am Agatha's familiar. So I guess I'm. I'm sorry.
[01:43:58] But that's really what you said is really, you know, a testament to what they did with the show. Because. Absolutely. Where you came from to where you're at now and just describing how you feel about the MCU proper. Yeah. Yeah. If a show can do that, can change one's opinion, that's really, you know, hands, take your hats off.
[01:44:26] And really, you know, give applause to that. Because that's something that we don't get often. Absolutely. And we get shows that will say, ah, I love this show. You know, it's cool. It's great. I have fun watching it. I watch season two. But to say I'm invested in not just season two, but in other, you know, properties that could be connected to it, that really does something. You know, it says something. And I think. Oh, sorry. Go ahead, Marilyn. Marilyn.
[01:44:55] Sometimes we get a show and we watch it and we say, oh, yeah, I love this show the first time I saw it. Right. Right. They tend to recycle. Right. Concepts and things. But this show, to me, and especially after watching like 20 hours of Marvel movies, this show is so fresh to me, not just in its subject matter and its characters, but in its tone. Yeah. And that's something that the MCU really needed because there was something about, I guess it was the hand of Feige or whatever.
[01:45:23] But there was something about the humor in Marvel movies that, you know, it's become the butt of a joke. Right. Is that we have to have these like little sarcastic Tony Stark quips and and that's like the tone of the humor in Marvel. And this didn't have that. You know, this had a lot of like really. I don't know. The humor just felt so fresh to me. You know, having Aubrey Pazico, I hate ghosts. Like is so it that feels like a new thing to me in this universe. And that's awesome. Yeah, they don't.
[01:45:53] They don't tell you the jokes. They enact them. Right. Yeah. That's a great point. Like the shimmy. Right. The shimmy is a great example. Yeah. I wonder how much of Catherine Han's own humor they were able to implement because it really does feel like her style of humor. Yeah. Very uniquely. It's Jen Barkley as a witch from Parks and Rec. Yes, exactly.
[01:46:17] Yeah, it does feel like that this was a group effort in a way that was also sort of refined by the cast members that they chose. And for instance, like when they first cast the witches, they didn't even realize it. They got lucky that they can all sing. Definitely. Right. That was key. Yeah. And I think this is also, I was going to say, being a Marvel project, I think it's also gone through so many iterations that we don't, it's probably changed a lot from where it first started from.
[01:46:47] Sorry, what were you going to say, Joe? No. And I was going to say that let the storytellers tell their story. Mm-hmm. You know, let them, you know, do their vision. If it works, it works. And if it doesn't, it doesn't. But you can't ham fist everything. You can't come down from the top of the mountain and say, we have to have this. No, you have to have this. No, we need this.
[01:47:15] Just let the storytellers tell their story and see where it falls. This was notably the least expensive property that they've done. Yeah. Right. So for that to be the case and for this to be the outcome should tell studios, you know, that maybe we need to let people breathe a little bit about the stories and how they tell their stories.
[01:47:43] Well, I hope by breathing, they mean they are rushing the next thing into production because I don't want to live this long. I don't want to live three years without Jen in my life. Yeah. I mean, there was, there was that weird post-credits scene where Tony Stark shows up and says, Hey, you want to get shawarma around the block? That was a little Tony tonally disjumped. I don't know. That was, that was. You fell asleep watching and dreamt that.
[01:48:09] And then he put on a Iron Man mask and said, different mask, same task. Oh my gosh. Sorry. So shall we hear what our other three coven members reacted to this? So Nicole says.
[01:48:48] Hey, this is Nicole from Nevermind the Music reflecting on our sneaky, sneaky Agatha all along personality test that we were put through. I was honored to receive my results and cast as the chaos witch in our coven. I think it makes a lot of sense. I am continually just faking my way through, hoping that no one notices that I don't know what I'm talking about.
[01:49:16] And that reads Wanda to me all day. So hopefully it doesn't show that much to our listeners on our pod, but I know that my colleague Mark would agree. I do bring a fair amount of chaos into the mix. I also think it's really funny and not really surprising that Mark and I kind of scored the same.
[01:49:42] We have a similar level of chaos to us, but we match each other really well. So I don't think either of us notices. I don't have any questions about the methodology. I think it's strong and sound. Another question I'm asked, what will be your first action in your new role in the coven? I'm not sure how to answer that. My first action. Hmm.
[01:50:12] I'm going to pass because I don't have a good answer. What would your trial look like? That's clear. My trial would be me to organize all of the little scraps of ideas I have in my mind into one linear thought and to somehow control all the multiple threads I am continuously pulling all at the same time and try to weave some sort of valid narrative with my thoughts. It is a struggle and that struggle is real.
[01:50:38] So I don't have any final thoughts on the show or the season. I hope they do a season two. I really, really enjoyed this arc and I want to know what happens next. I'm in love with these characters and it's been really fun to toe in to the MCU having been kind of a neophyte before. And I'm wondering what my next show should be. I know you're going to say Loki. I'll check it out. Thanks all. Bye.
[01:51:08] Yay, Loki. So yeah, thank you to my sister in ADHD. So I don't mean to diagnose, but just that's how my brain works. So other than Loki, what do we think her next show should be? Like, I want to say, you know, because she has a psychology background, maybe Moon Knight is about disassociative identity disorder. Well, that might be too much like work. Well, I think it's a good show too.
[01:51:38] Jean, what do you think her next show should be? I mean, can we, it doesn't have to be Disney. So I would go Jessica Jones season one. That's going to tie into Disney anyway. Yeah. The new Daredevil show. So I think that's an amazing entry point because that show to me was just outstanding.
[01:52:05] I would also do Daredevil season one again. I think, you know, the Netflix TV, Marvel TV shows were just really, really good. Their first seasons. Um, so I would recommend Luke Cage. I mean, I just, I love those three shows, especially those first seasons of those shows. I'm sorry. Are you an Iron Fist fan?
[01:52:35] I am not. Okay, good. I will. I didn't want to fight you, John. No, no. I will quasi defend season two. Season two was a step up. And I think the, the way season two ended got me excited because sorry, spoilers for Iron Fist. Uh, skip forward if you don't want to hear this, but it ends with, he's not the Iron Fist at the end. Colleen Wing is. And that, I was very excited about where that ended and I would love actually for them to pick up that.
[01:53:03] And this, the actress who played her is apparently interested. So I hope that. Yeah. I don't disagree. We should just get that one last episode of season two instead of two seasons of Iron Fist. That's my point. That's my point. I only watched season one. Yeah. If you give me the last episode of the season as the only thing that I saw, then I would be content.
[01:53:28] But there are two seasons of that show, which yeah, I don't recommend. No, no, no. It's not. Me personally. It's not good. It's not good. No. So I would start with those. I think the Netflix shows are really good. And if you haven't seen WandaVision, of course, and if you haven't seen Loki, this is a Loki stand pod. Probably, I think that was my second favorite show from last year when we did our year end last year.
[01:53:58] So yeah, just those shows definitely for anyone out there who's listening, if you haven't seen them, then you definitely should. Yeah. Yeah. And if you like violence, Echo. Echo is, yeah, listen to our coverage of Echo if you want some deeper dives into the Choctaw culture behind it. Yeah. Marilyn, do you have any thoughts of shows that you have enjoyed in the MCU or Marvel in
[01:54:28] general? Well, Loki is just head and shoulders above it all for me. You see, Loki gives that same plot line of ambiguous characters and so forth. And he starts off as being, you know, sure, trickster or whatever, but you just don't want him around in the very first episode. Suddenly, he's in a place where he just has no power.
[01:54:59] And that journey to where he eventually winds up is, it's, it's operatic. It's, you know, definitely floods of tears and delight and so much mythology woven in, which is a lot of why I like it. I'm, I'm basically a, an original Marvel Stan, I suppose the first, I don't remember which phase goes with what, but basically Captain America through end game.
[01:55:27] Um, and I have some there that I like more than others. The infinity saga. Yeah. I infinity saga is out there calling it now. Okay. Um, I don't watch the TV ones very much at all. Um, there's just so much in the world, so much to do so little time, but I will, I will dip in, um, as people tell me, you know, things are good or whatever, but you know, me aversion to violence, you know, that, that eliminates. Yeah. Yeah. No, that's not fair.
[01:55:57] Yeah. Don't watch the Netflix ones. Um, Aaron, what about you? The peculiar scale is way, is way up there. Yeah. Way up there. Well, Jessica Jones is more psychologically violent. That first one. Yeah. I don't do that either. Yeah. I don't do that either. All right. All right. All right. In some ways that's worse. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Aaron, what about you? Any faves you want to shout out or what you think that Nicole might like? Yeah, I definitely have to second the echo recommendation just because I feel
[01:56:25] like echo and Agatha both are shows that really have benefited in the MCU from not being afraid to go outside of the normal MCU formula and do something unique and interesting on a somewhat lower budget. Yeah. So I think they're similar in production details. Two lowest budgets. Yeah. Wow. The two lowest budgets. Mm-hmm. Huh. Yeah. I also have to, yeah, sorry, go ahead.
[01:56:53] So I was just going to say two lowest budgets and two of my favorite Marvel shows. Yeah. Yeah. Goes to show you. And I think maybe that goes hand in hand and to a certain degree because they get less like, they get less inserting themselves. I think when they're, the stakes are lower because the budget's lower. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That makes sense. That does. Less is more. Less is more. I also just have to shout out Ms. Marvel and. Oh yeah. Oh, of course.
[01:57:22] Yeah. It's just delightful. And she hope we keep bringing up because you got to meet Madison. We are. She hope Stan podcast, Alicia and I. Yeah. No, I will jump in again and say, absolutely. Ms. Marvel. I'm looking forward to getting to that stuff. I'm on my way. I'm on my way. I just got, I got to get through a bunch more things first. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. No, you're doing a proper order. Yeah. We're going to do our MCU phases one and two rankings soon. So. Oh my.
[01:57:49] I don't know how they would do it, but I think that they need to get Madison and. Mrs. Hart on the same screen together. She, Jack Schaefer wanted her in this show. Apparently I'm like, Oh, it's one of the things that God cut back on like peanut butter the rabbit. All right. Let's, let's hear what Mark has to say. Hi everybody. Mark here. Considering our results.
[01:58:16] Now I am the accidental witch, the community, which the Sharon of the group. I must confess. I was a little disappointed when I learned that I was the Sharon. I guess it sort of felt like when I've been at one of those leadership conferences or professional development sessions and you do one of those personality tests and you get it back and you're kind of like, Oh no, I got the bad one. And then you realize, no, that's just my insecurity talking. That is pretty accurate.
[01:58:45] So I've come around to being okay with this. At first I was a little disappointed. I didn't get Jen or maybe Alice. They just have cooler colors, honestly. And also just sort of, they sound more like what my personality might lean to, but I've come around. I think Sharon is the outsider. I am not the Marvel nut of this group. I am not the comic book reader.
[01:59:11] I came to this having seen a WandaVision and enjoying it and seeing a bunch of the movies, but not knowing at all where this was going to go. I had no idea when Agatha revealed herself at the end of WandaVision. I was like, uh, is that a thing? I've never heard of that. So I feel very outsider to this. That maybe makes me being the accidental witch pretty sound. Also, I would consider myself pretty rational person.
[01:59:36] I'm not sure how rational Sharon really is, but she certainly comes from the rational world. So I can get behind that. In terms of the ones that fit for everybody else, I would have to say I'm very pleased by Nicole being the chaos witch, although she narrowly beat me because I was going to be the chaos witch, which is pretty funny. I think Nicole would have also made a lot of sense as Rio, actually. No offense, but we've talked about death before on our podcast.
[02:00:06] But Nicole as the chaos witch makes perfect sense for me. I always felt like we would be sitting down for a long recording session. And when she walked in the door, I'd always wonder if we were going to do that recording session or she'd just be like, let's talk about something else. And then it wouldn't happen at all. So yeah, it never actually went down that way, but there's always the threat of chaos with Nicole. And that's why we're such good friends. In terms of another one that I thought was a perfect fit.
[02:00:30] I think John as Billy is perfect because Billy is a lore guy. Billy was learning as much as he possibly could the whole way through. That feels very John to me. Someone said I was surprised by, I think David as Agatha is kind of weird. David's not particularly prickly enough, but I know it's not that he is Agatha. It's that he's the spirit witch. And if the spirit witch is draining people's magical powers, I don't know that that feels like David.
[02:00:59] I don't feel like I lose, I guess my teal. I don't lose my teal when I'm talking to David. I feel boosted by him. So I don't know. I'm not so sure about that one. I'm a little surprised. Okay. Methodology. Again, going back to my academic life. Do I have issues with the survey methodology, the science of this? As someone who has been the chair of multiple committees in the academic context with lots
[02:01:27] of crazy processes, I can say it's never a good idea to come in when someone's done a ton of work prepping something, designing an entire system, creating spreadsheets. It's never a good idea to come in and tear it down. I'm not going to say anything critical about the methodology. I'm not the chair of this committee. It's not my right, not my place. I'm just taking notes. Maybe one day we'll burn it all down. But for now, no criticism at all. It was beautiful.
[02:01:54] As far as my first action in my role as the accidental slash community witch of this coven, obviously my first instinct should be to run away because there's like monsters and magic and I don't know anything about it. And of course, we all know that Sharon is the first person to die and it's not even close. But I am the community witch. I would like to think that maybe if I could sit everybody down and get everybody to just talk.
[02:02:22] A, let's hear about your magical powers, the state of your magical powers, whether you have them or not, what skills you have, etc. And B, what trauma do you have? Can you talk about your trauma with your friends? Sometimes your frenemies. Sometimes maybe your outright enemies. But we are all in this together and we are all going to die. Certainly starting with me. If we don't get on the same page.
[02:02:48] And maybe, just maybe, if we talk about his trauma, Billy can stop this whole thing and we can all go home. Final thoughts. This was a great season of TV. I'm curious if there's going to be a season two or if the season two is really a season three in the sense that we had WandaVision, Agatha, and then we'll have something totally different that maybe has some of these characters but maybe doesn't. Excited to see what's next. Yeah. So, first of all, I have to shout out.
[02:03:17] He said that teal is not one of the cooler colors. It's my sister's favorite color. So, just in defense of teal. Wearing a teal octopus. Okay. Oh, yeah. I am wearing a teal octopus. Yeah. On my sweater. We are getting something totally different for season three though, right, Jean? That's right. I mean, the third in the trilogy. There we go. That's the third in the trilogy. Actually, he's very right on that. So, let's see if this all ties in in the way that makes sense.
[02:03:47] Because, to me, it would make sense for him to seek out Vision as he seeks out Tommy to help in that quest. His own flushing wires. Yes, indeed. As far as he knows Vision is in pieces, he doesn't know that a version flew out of the hex. I mean, that's what Agatha told him. Ah, well then. Yeah. Well, as far as Agatha knows. Right. Check your sources, friends.
[02:04:18] Maybe they will intersect. We know we're getting Wonder Man in 2025. And then I think we're getting the Vision show in 2026. So, and I don't think, honestly, they are going to have time to turn something around to release before that, unless they've been secretly filming, which I don't think they have. Right. Right. No. Um, I do have to say, he said that, uh, Nicole would have been a good Rio. And since she, she was the highest scorer in the Rio row.
[02:04:45] So it could have gone a different way where Nicole got Rio. Then Mark would have gotten, um, the chaos, which, and I would have gotten Sharon. So that's another outcome. That's equally valid. Which universe is that in? Yeah. 617. Um, and I have to say, I don't know. What do you think, John, about this idea of the spirit, which being the one draining powers?
[02:05:13] Because I don't know that that's what a spirit, which is to me in the show. Well, the Hoa and the Fea really operate in a very interesting way. I'm not going to go into Tolkien. Oh my gosh. Go ahead, John. I'm right with you. You know, I, um, it's interesting. Tolkien has that your body spirit, your body energy drains rather than your spirit energy. Your spirit energy is constant. Uh, but yeah, that's interesting. That's interesting.
[02:05:39] I, I, I don't know what to make of it because does Agatha need to do that? I had a question. Like, does Agatha get more powerful over time or does her energy dissipate over time and she needs to keep getting things in her? The more she uses her power. I, I have questions about, you know, just in general, which is aging or not aging or how that works in the MCU. Um, I mean, it's rather vague in the comics too, but, uh, does, is this, this, this whole
[02:06:08] succubus power of hers is an MCU creation. That's not in the comics. So in the spirit, she's maybe called the spirit, which, because in the comics, she does die a couple of times. Uh, but she also has links with the other side, not death per se, but, um, other links. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. What do you think, Joe? I think she, um, actually becomes more powerful as she drains in the MCU.
[02:06:36] Um, but I also think that David being the spirit, which makes sense because she's like the guide going forward. And David operates very much in that way in our ecosystem. Like he kind of like, I mean, he, he guided me into this path that we're on. He reached out to me.
[02:07:04] He, he founded this empire. Right. So I think it makes absolute sense that, that David is the spirit guide. Um, so I don't see him as draining power, but I, I do see him as the person who is very much, you know, sharing information as you go along a path. And that's apropos to his character. I think. Yeah. That's very cool.
[02:07:34] I like that. Yeah. Um, Aaron, what are your thoughts on Agatha as a character overall? So I actually have a question for the rest of you about this. I want to get your thoughts. Um, do we think that Agatha's intimate relationship with Rhea with death is the reason why she was able to become a spirit? Hmm. That's kind of where my mind drifts when I think of Agatha at the very end. Cause her, her mom was also a ghost in the earlier trial.
[02:08:04] Right. So unless was that a, was she a real ghost or was that a road fake road ghost? Hmm. Yeah. It's hard to tell with, uh, what's real and what was conjured up by Billy. But other than that, I think that Agatha is really the only real villain of this series. Agreed. And I obviously don't think David is a real villain of anything. So. There is that. Um, I don't. Go ahead. Sorry.
[02:08:33] I don't feel we know enough about afterlife and so forth. Like I said earlier, we don't know whose authority Rio is if they have an authority. Yeah. And I think. Go ahead, Marilyn. I'm sorry. Those are difficult questions to answer. Go ahead, John. And I also think, um, he, Rio says that she hates ghosts. So she, I don't think she has power over that, over someone becoming a ghost. Right. I think. Yeah.
[02:09:02] You know, you have to, when, when I think of Nikki, you know, going off with his mom, um, and saying goodbye to his, his other mom, um, cause that's how I'm viewing it. Right. Um, he walks and he goes, there's no struggle. Alice walks, she goes, there's no struggle.
[02:09:27] So I don't know if someone, if someone refuses to go, I'm not done here. Um, does she have the power to just drag you into the afterlife? So where's that look like? Right. And I think that's what we're seeing here when Agatha says she's not ready to face Nikki. She's not ready to go yet. So death in this way is not completely, um, all powerful, if that makes sense.
[02:09:57] And I think that's what we're seeing in this, in this show. And I can see where it would really piss Rio off. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Because again, they're accustomed to being an absolute. Absolute. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And I think, uh, to have these squishy exceptions, not their style. Yeah. Well, I, I don't think that there's a capital A afterlife that we're dealing with here. I think that there are likely multiple. Oh yeah. Yeah.
[02:10:25] I, I, I think it almost reminds me of disc world. This idea of death and disc world is that death just takes you to whatever afterlife you were expecting. Yes. Yes. Yes. Mm-hmm. Well, death takes you to the desert and you walk across and cross the mountains and then, then you get it. But the fact that Agatha is a, keeps saying she's afraid of facing Nikki implies to me that there was a belief that, you know, souls, whatever you want to call them, carry on. Right. Otherwise, why would she be afraid? You know?
[02:10:55] Okay. Death, take me any time. That'll be done. Right. I don't think you can say there's oblivion and nothing based upon the premises that they're giving us. No. What the sub, what the something is like. I mean, we've seen multiple versions in, in like the Black Panther movies, in the Thor movies, in, um, in, yeah. Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, even to a certain extent. I don't know if the, yeah. Nah, I don't know if that's, yeah, I don't know if that qualifies. Yeah.
[02:11:24] But it is, it is like, uh, they call them or basically, I guess you could say the quantum realm is also, they call them, um, like six, one, six adjacent realms. Right. Yeah. I mean, that's them being really squishy and jazz hands. They want to do their own thing and, you know, comic books. If, if, if universes overlap, that's fine, but they're not going to specify. Black Panther is the exception. Specific. Yeah. I adored that. I adored the whole aspect of it. Yes. Very specific to that.
[02:11:53] And so is Moon Knight. Very specific. Moon Knight also. These are the afterlife. This is where we go after we are done on, on earth. Right. Right. This is where we reside. And the ancestors greet us. Yes. So there is that sense of ongoing. As someone who was into Egyptian, Egyptology as a kid and Egyptian mythology, I loved Moon Knight's depiction of the afterlife. And also just how, like, all over the place it was and quirky and weird.
[02:12:20] And so it was in some ways custom, like customized to the person because it was even customized to the different personalities of the main character. Right. Right. Right. So, yeah. I don't think that Rio is in control of Agatha's ghostliness. And that's why she hates it. And that's why she hates it. Yeah. Yeah.
[02:12:45] Well, so David sums up all of the kind of the way that we were all cast, the characters we were all cast as quite nicely in his voicemail. So let's give that a listen. Hey, Alicia. Here are my thoughts on the wrap up for the coven creation process. I just scanned through the results. I think they're pretty hilarious. I think it's funny that Mark is the accidental witch.
[02:13:16] And I don't know Mark as well as I know you and John because we've only just recently started to work together. But I've noticed that Mark oftentimes will put himself in a position that's aside to where others are, not as in an oppositional stance, but just kind of, I'm over here doing my thing. So I think it's, and podcasting, you know, however they, you know, Mark and Nicole came to it, it wasn't like a primary focus. It was just something that happened.
[02:13:44] And I just think it's funny that that's the case. John as Billy or the moon, which is absolutely hilarious. I love it. I don't know why I think it fits. But I'm excited to hear your analysis for that. Alicia as the green witch is death. Well, I don't know. That kind of makes sense. Not in the way of like, oh, death, doom, but that you're making up the rules for how the coven gets made.
[02:14:11] And well, death sort of sets the rules for life in a lot of ways. We can do a lot of things in life, but there's only one constant. There's only one certainty, and that is that all mortal things pass. Divinations and potions between Marilyn and Aaron. I really don't know what to think there. I don't know who's better suited. So I'm looking forward to hearing the conversation and the analysis and hearing you guys work it out.
[02:14:39] Nicole as chaos has to be having Mark in his cup. So they have to be splitting sides between the two of them. I think that's hilarious. Again, I don't know Nicole as well, but I could see it. I could see it. Hey, future Alicia weighing here, just to say that Jean noticed after the fact that David did not comment on Jean's casting in the coven.
[02:15:07] And I just I'm going to tell you up front that these two guys are longtime friends off the mics. And so this is how Jean responded to this light. Yeah, man. I don't know what's up with that, but I guess we can set out our differences. However, you want to do it. My protection magic versus your, I don't know, spirit guidedness. Let's do it.
[02:15:36] Anytime, anyplace. I'm ready. I think Jean just declared a versus trial. And now back to the rest of what David had to say. Okay. So me is the spirit witch. Well, I guess that kind of feels right.
[02:15:57] I'll add my assessment in a sort of roundabout way, which is that my default Dungeons and Dragons character was always a half elf ranger. A character who's very solo, aloof, who doesn't fit in in either society, elf or human. They're very into their thing.
[02:16:24] They stand their ground in the way of they kind of just really know who they are and that they belong to themselves, I guess. But even though they're off a little to the side, they're always thinking about the well-being of the group and thinking of the meta context, bigger issues, finding the way, you know, checking the way. Is it passable? Is there danger here? Is there quicksand here? Quicksand? You know, and reporting that back to the group.
[02:16:53] And so sort of enjoying the fellowship on the fringe of the firelight, as it were. So I kind of think it's fine. Uh, and yeah, I'll embrace it. I'm down for it. Just on the overall picture of this whole exercise, I just listened to an upcoming episode of Nevermind the Music, which isn't out yet. I think by the time that this will be released, but it's coming shortly.
[02:17:19] And that's where Mark and Nicole talk about the song Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode, which is a real nostalgia hit for me at a particular time of life, all that kind of stuff. And Nicole brings up the whole Myers-Briggs personality stuff as part of the analysis of the song and what sonically that song is doing. And I feel like we kind of just like we just did that for our collective here. And I think it's hilarious.
[02:17:48] And I think it's so on brand. And Alicia, I just really appreciate your creativity in always thinking up these fun game show kinds of things because it just brings a whole new, fun, creative, enjoyable dimension to the podcasting, which can be, you know, a lot of work at times. And we're, we put a lot of effort into it. And sometimes we forget to laugh and have a good time.
[02:18:15] So I think what you bring with this setup is great. And so thank you for doing it. And I'm glad everyone got a chance to participate with this. So, okay. From the spirit world, we'll be at you soon. Bye. So thank you very much for the kind words. And I have to point out, yeah, the Myers-Briggs thing, my first job out of college, which I have a background in marketing communications and psychology on the,
[02:18:42] in my degree, but so my first job out of college was administering corporate assessments and for coaching and things like that. So it was like, we didn't use Myers-Briggs, but basically as Nicole pointed out when we were talking about this privately, it's all kind of based on Myers-Briggs. So that's definitely a big influence on this. Yeah. Yeah. Anyone, any thoughts about David's summary?
[02:19:10] What a lovely slew of compliments. Thank you. Yeah. And compliments to you. You are, you are spirit as my guide. Yeah. You raise me up. All right. Oh, God. All right. All right. So, so I'm going to, I'm going to do a round and I'm going to ask everyone here to answer one of two questions or you can answer both if you, if you like, and it's the same questions I asked the three of them.
[02:19:34] Um, first action in your new role or what would your trial be? So John, let's start with you. What would your trial be? Or what would be your first action as the moon, which Billy? My first action as the moon, which Billy would be to regenerate all of the set of Game of Thrones season eight and the entire season. Fair enough. Fair enough. Fair enough. That would be it.
[02:20:02] And my trial would be that someone has to have the worst takes around me, like on the bus and I have to not say something. Goodness. Okay. Okay. Okay. Um, so my, my trial as death would definitely be just like anytime I don't bring someone back from the dead, just like not bringing Sharon back from the dead is my trial. And my, my first action would be to like form up my afterlife coven super quick.
[02:20:32] And Agatha is not invited for now. Oh gosh. John, what about you? Um, my first act would be to protect T'Challa at all costs. The kid you mean, right? No. You want the kids to die? I'm sorry. I'm just kidding. I can't even make that joke. Goodness gracious, man. So yes, protecting T'Challa would be my first action as a protection.
[02:21:03] Okay. Okay. Aaron, do your, your first action or trial? Uh, well, my first action would have to be selling some questionably edible candles. That's fair. That's fair. What about you, Marilyn? This is a hard one.
[02:21:22] Um, it's been a long time since I've done tarot readings or any kind of divination or anything like that, but I still feel that sense of connection. Um, on the other hand, I really don't want to, you know, set up my booth outside the front door and, uh, you know, just, just not there. No. Um, but you can guide the coven. I guess.
[02:21:53] Sure. If you guys want me to guide you, I tend to get less and less, uh, prescriptive as, as time goes on, at least I try. Spiritually guide. Yeah. Which is different from spirit as my guide. It's an interesting distinction, isn't it? Um, my trial might be to get rid of a few tarot decks that I'm no longer using.
[02:22:21] And, uh, you know, goodness for fan. If I had to pick one, that's my favorite. So I use different ones in different situations. I guess that's the best I can say. All right. Any, any final thoughts on the game from any of, of the coven members? No, thank you for doing this. This was fun. Thank you for giving me the most powers. Thank you so much for putting this together.
[02:22:47] And I guess maybe I would say my first, my first action would be to offer you all readings if you wanted them. So that's, that's absolutely. There we go. Yeah. This is, this has been fabulous. At least I just, the, the contents of your mind and how you keep them all ordered and, uh, yeah, it's a lot of fun. So thank you. Um, you brought up something interesting earlier before we started about tarot, um, about that
[02:23:12] actually it originated in Italy where Lily is from, but like a century before she was. Well, no one really knows when it actually, um, initiated, but the first known recorded tarot deck itself, it's so similar to decks of cards. I mean, I imagine that people, once decks of cards had come along, were reading cards
[02:23:36] without necessarily having a specific tarot set, but, um, kind of, uh, festival practices would have, uh, in some Italian cities, city States would have, uh, drawing cards through the city and they would have different, uh, characters and acting things. And those were called trumps. And so some people theorize that that was the organization of the trump cards in the
[02:24:01] tarot spread, which are the, you know, individual depictions and, uh, not, you know, six of spades or whatever. And so the Sforzi, I've got it here. I can't remember. Visconti Sforzi is the, acknowledged as the first, uh, tarot deck. And again, came from Italy, uh, around 1450 or so.
[02:24:27] So it was, they seemed to pick up on that little detail with Lillia's story. Okay, cool. And did you have any last thoughts on the season that you wanted to share while you're here? It's been interesting for me. It's kind of a sandwich of, you know, the quote unquote bread, the beginning and the end did not attract me in the slightest. And, and, you know, just there were things that I really thought, no, this just isn't
[02:24:57] for me. The meat of it, the actual, you know, on the road adventures were fantastic, but I really wish, although I realized this isn't something that Marvel Universe deals in very often, I really wish they had brought in more of the genuine spirituality aspects of witchcraft. Uh, what I got was just the same title, the stereotypes and strokes beautifully, beautifully
[02:25:23] presented and crafted and, you know, great characters. And there were moments of, okay, yes, this feels like witchcraft to me, but an awful lot of it was just, okay, well, here's one more, you know, popular visual, whatever, that's going to stick in people's minds. And when you say witchcraft, that's the first thing you're going to think of. And, you know, that's too bad. Witchcraft is a recognized religion. It's part of the world covenant, not covenant, the world council on religions.
[02:25:53] It has 501 3C status of, of churches and groves and so on. So it, there is this side to it that just really doesn't get much of a look in, I'm afraid. I would be curious if you watched like the first half of the movie, the craft, and then stopped when she walks on water. I'd be curious what you thought of that because I think that's one of the most accurate. They did have a Wiccan consultant on set and one of the main actresses is also Wiccan herself.
[02:26:19] So I think that's one of the most accurate depictions of witchcraft that I've seen until it isn't, you know. It gets very violent. Yeah. Well, I mean, not even per se that it gets very violent, but it gets to the point where she walks on water and then, you know, yeah. And it gets, I think I'm so mean girls, you know, creative. So Aaron, what are your last thoughts on the season overall? 10 out of 10.
[02:26:44] I hope that Marvel just keeps on taking these risks and making these shows that don't feel so watered down. And I don't want to bring secret invasion into this because I think that we all- Oh, we must say that name. He said it. He said it. Oh, no. The series that will shall not be named. But yeah, I think that all of the acting in this was fantastic.
[02:27:11] And I don't know if I'm more grateful for this show or if I'm more grateful for all of the interviews with Aubrey Plaza and Patti LuPone talking about living together. It was just so fantastic and whimsical and entertaining. Yeah. I mean, there are shows where you're like they had too good of a time filming that and it made it poor quality. But in this case, you can tell they had an absolute blast filming it. And that's what makes it so strong as well.
[02:27:41] 100%. Yeah. John, final thoughts on the season? This is the best MCU show. Above Loki. Wow. This is the best MCU show and I'm here for it. So thank you, Jack Schaefer. Yeah. Give Jack Schaefer more work. And Jean, my co-host down this road, down, down, down this road.
[02:28:11] Did we find glory at the end? Absolutely. The plane was landed. Everybody got off safely. Got our luggage, left the airport, got home. Yeah. This was great. This was great viewing. It's right up there with Loki for me. If one is one, the other one would be 1A. So I'm not sure which way I would go right now.
[02:28:39] But this was really... Again, I kept saying it in our pod, but taking this magical, fantastical world and giving us such real world thoughts, feelings, and emotions, is, you know, it's special.
[02:29:02] And so using the framework of a comic book story to tell a very human story was really special. So kudos to everyone involved. And I want more. I want more of this type of storytelling. Well, hear, hear. And on that note, any last thing you want to say to Kevin Feige? Bring back ReCast T'Challa.
[02:29:35] Thank you all for coming to our coven party. Thank you all for coming to our coven party. I hope you had as much fun as we did. A reminder that there are links in the notes to the questions and the color-coded answers with the chart of our results below that. For...
