00:19 --> 00:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Lorhounds, your guides to Graathens Memories.
00:22 --> 00:24 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm John, the second unit with a plan.
00:24 --> 00:34 [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm Alicia here with a friendly invitation to talk through the murder of your colleagues and destruction of your only means of escape and for an object's episode eight of Apple TV's Murderbat.
00:35 --> 00:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Spoilers for the first eight episodes we haven't wants to head on our screeners.
00:40 --> 00:45 [SPEAKER_02]: We have done some of the reading as we've mentioned before, but no spoilers for anything that hasn't happened in the show.
00:46 --> 00:48 [SPEAKER_01]: I finished the second book by the way.
00:48 --> 00:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you finished the second book?
00:49 --> 00:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
00:50 --> 00:50 [SPEAKER_02]: What's it good?
00:51 --> 00:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
00:52 --> 00:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
00:52 --> 00:56 [SPEAKER_01]: And there's a character who's introduced that everybody loves and now I love that character too.
00:56 --> 00:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
00:58 --> 01:08 [SPEAKER_01]: But I have thoughts about I can bring them up after the season finale, but I've thought about how they might change it for the show for season two.
01:09 --> 01:10 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
01:10 --> 01:10 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm in.
01:10 --> 01:11 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm in.
01:11 --> 01:11 [SPEAKER_02]: We can do it.
01:11 --> 01:12 [SPEAKER_02]: We can do a little post.
01:13 --> 01:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a post credits.
01:14 --> 01:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Boilery thing where you can tell me about them.
01:15 --> 01:15 [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
01:16 --> 01:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I'm assuming that season one will end in the same place as the book and then it'll it'll be okay to talk about.
01:24 --> 01:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
01:26 --> 01:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we have this episode eight for an objects at twenty three minutes.
01:31 --> 01:32 [SPEAKER_02]: What do you want to tell me about this title?
01:32 --> 01:33 [SPEAKER_02]: You have a note here.
01:34 --> 01:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, I just said it's so foreign objects.
01:37 --> 01:38 [SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking about what is a title mean.
01:38 --> 01:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess it's the the cloth stuck in Girathens leg is a foreign object also.
01:43 --> 01:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, obviously, but I also thought it's kind of how Girathen and murder but see themselves in the group as the foreign object.
01:53 --> 01:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and and also eating each other's heads right there.
01:56 --> 01:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
01:56 --> 01:57 [SPEAKER_02]: The foreign object and each other's heads.
01:58 --> 01:58 [SPEAKER_01]: True.
01:58 --> 01:58 [SPEAKER_01]: True.
01:59 --> 01:59 [SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty fun.
02:00 --> 02:03 [SPEAKER_01]: It's was a good week for hashtag or about.
02:03 --> 02:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
02:06 --> 02:08 [SPEAKER_02]: They are one.
02:10 --> 02:13 [SPEAKER_02]: That was actually a murderbot asking growth and why don't you love me?
02:14 --> 02:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Why did you love me all?
02:18 --> 02:19 [SPEAKER_01]: That was so awkward.
02:20 --> 02:26 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, so I think Paul and Chris whites have been doing a really good job with the writing on this.
02:26 --> 02:28 [SPEAKER_01]: And this was a Aurora Guerrero again.
02:29 --> 02:32 [SPEAKER_01]: But I was just thinking, you know, I was rewatching at this morning.
02:33 --> 02:38 [SPEAKER_01]: And I just think they really nailed the humorous beats.
02:40 --> 02:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree.
02:41 --> 02:43 [SPEAKER_02]: I laughed out loud a couple times.
02:43 --> 02:45 [SPEAKER_02]: It was good.
02:45 --> 02:47 [SPEAKER_02]: They're really getting the tone of the show right.
02:48 --> 02:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
02:49 --> 02:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
02:50 --> 02:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this every time every episode, I feel like it's my new favorite.
02:53 --> 02:58 [SPEAKER_01]: My only complaint is that I want them to be done being suspicious of motorbot.
02:58 --> 03:00 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm ready for that part to be ever.
03:01 --> 03:20 [SPEAKER_01]: But wouldn't you still be suspicious of murder about like no fair and right was calling itself murder rod which and killed thirty seven people fifty seven fifty seven sorry sorry uh... yeah now i mean it's fair of course but also murderbot has every single time
03:21 --> 03:24 [SPEAKER_01]: put itself in danger or even shot itself in the chest to protect them.
03:25 --> 03:27 [SPEAKER_01]: And then so they know about the combat override module.
03:27 --> 03:32 [SPEAKER_01]: I was really glad that it said it could have been a combat override module.
03:32 --> 03:36 [SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking about that the whole time when I was reading the book, but they don't say it in the first book.
03:37 --> 03:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
03:38 --> 03:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.
03:39 --> 03:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I hadn't considered that it was a combat override module.
03:43 --> 03:46 [SPEAKER_02]: I thought murderbot had just gotten murderous.
03:47 --> 03:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
03:49 --> 03:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess that question is still up in the air.
03:52 --> 03:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
03:52 --> 03:56 [SPEAKER_02]: And murderbot did not tell them why he calls itself murder rod.
03:56 --> 03:58 [SPEAKER_01]: No, just it's not that.
03:58 --> 03:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
03:59 --> 04:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
04:00 --> 04:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Murderbot needs to be more forthcoming, but that is not murderbot's strongest trait.
04:04 --> 04:05 [SPEAKER_02]: No, no.
04:06 --> 04:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Just murderbot's strongest is just running into the room and yelling.
04:13 --> 04:14 [SPEAKER_02]: I have a plan.
04:17 --> 04:17 [SPEAKER_02]: That was good.
04:17 --> 04:18 [SPEAKER_02]: That was good.
04:18 --> 04:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I really liked this episode too.
04:20 --> 04:25 [SPEAKER_02]: I still think episode six is my favorite of the season, but that's not to say that the other episodes aren't all great.
04:27 --> 04:28 [SPEAKER_02]: I thought this was a great one too.
04:28 --> 04:30 [SPEAKER_02]: There's not been a bad episode yet.
04:30 --> 04:33 [SPEAKER_02]: That's really good for a season one of a show.
04:33 --> 04:37 [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of season ones take a minute to get themselves together.
04:37 --> 04:37 [SPEAKER_02]: This one didn't.
04:38 --> 04:38 [SPEAKER_02]: This one jumped right in.
04:38 --> 04:40 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess it has to, which only two minute episodes.
04:41 --> 04:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's also because it's based on, it's short episodes, but because it's based on, you know, a short novella, there's still room to expand.
04:50 --> 04:54 [SPEAKER_01]: So I really love how they fleshed out all of the characters.
04:55 --> 04:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
04:55 --> 04:58 [SPEAKER_02]: And people, I saw people on Reddit going like, it's too short.
04:58 --> 05:00 [SPEAKER_02]: And then somebody was like, the novel is short.
05:00 --> 05:02 [SPEAKER_02]: The novella is short.
05:03 --> 05:05 [SPEAKER_01]: It's literally a hundred pages.
05:06 --> 05:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
05:07 --> 05:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, anything else on hot takes before we dive into the plot?
05:12 --> 05:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh no, let's get into the sanctuary smile.
05:15 --> 05:17 [SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I'm all about it.
05:18 --> 05:31 [SPEAKER_01]: I love this call to open with murderbot checking in on its favorite shows, sanctuary moon during the dramatic moment when it's revealed that the navigation bot has apparently killed its human lover or is accused thereof.
05:32 --> 05:40 [SPEAKER_01]: The new captain says its memory has been wiped in his now completely under his control, but it turns out the navbot was faking subservience.
05:41 --> 05:47 [SPEAKER_01]: It turns on the new captain killing him and any crew members who get in its way as the captain stabs it in the torso in turn.
05:47 --> 05:55 [SPEAKER_01]: The show is interrupted with flight officer, officer, or do a scrunch, cowering, waiting to learn his own fate.
05:56 --> 06:09 [SPEAKER_01]: So I guess we're supposed to understand at the end that actually Clark Gregg's character, killed or forced to her, or sorry, it, the navbot to kill the John Cho captain character.
06:09 --> 06:13 [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's true, or otherwise murderbot would be like, that's a fucking lie.
06:16 --> 06:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Because, yeah, the Navbot said, you inducted me into this hideous religion called Love.
06:20 --> 06:23 [SPEAKER_01]: You took away the only human who has ever shown me kindness.
06:25 --> 06:28 [SPEAKER_01]: The navvots definitely blaming Clark Gregg.
06:28 --> 06:29 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what his character name is.
06:29 --> 06:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
06:30 --> 06:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
06:30 --> 06:32 [SPEAKER_02]: The evil, you know.
06:32 --> 06:32 [SPEAKER_01]: The evil captain.
06:33 --> 06:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
06:33 --> 06:35 [SPEAKER_01]: It's good captain and evil captain.
06:35 --> 06:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
06:35 --> 06:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
06:36 --> 06:36 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
06:37 --> 06:38 [SPEAKER_02]: And I, I do love the hair on.
06:39 --> 06:40 [SPEAKER_02]: I always think of him as Kenneth.
06:40 --> 06:41 [SPEAKER_02]: What's his name?
06:41 --> 06:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
06:42 --> 06:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Jack McBrayer.
06:43 --> 06:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Jack McBrayer.
06:44 --> 06:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
06:44 --> 06:48 [SPEAKER_02]: He's got great hair and and always brings a lightness to anything he's in.
06:48 --> 06:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
06:49 --> 06:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
06:50 --> 06:53 [SPEAKER_01]: And Clark Craig's sideburns, too.
06:53 --> 06:54 [SPEAKER_01]: We should call them sideburns.
06:54 --> 06:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Or would you, would you cut mutton chops?
06:56 --> 06:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
06:57 --> 06:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Those are some calls.
06:58 --> 06:59 [SPEAKER_02]: They're like the chops.
06:59 --> 07:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Foot long mutton chops.
07:02 --> 07:04 [SPEAKER_02]: You can only get them done at Subway.
07:05 --> 07:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
07:08 --> 07:20 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I like how they're using this sanctuary moon, these inserts to, they're showing a lot more, they're developing more of a sanctuary moon story than is developed in the books.
07:21 --> 07:32 [SPEAKER_01]: And they're using it to show to me or, you know, like this is what people are seeing in the entertainment feeds where, but jailbreak can go crazy and kill everyone.
07:32 --> 07:35 [SPEAKER_01]: And this is where the fear is coming from.
07:36 --> 07:42 [SPEAKER_02]: And we know that some of them, at least, on this crew, have watched enough of it to quiz murderbot on a deep cut.
07:42 --> 07:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
07:43 --> 07:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
07:43 --> 07:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
07:44 --> 07:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
07:45 --> 07:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
07:45 --> 07:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Pinley and Rotty definitely are watching this show.
07:48 --> 07:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
07:49 --> 07:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
07:50 --> 07:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
07:50 --> 07:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Pinley and Rotty, the couple we didn't know we needed.
07:54 --> 07:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
07:55 --> 07:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
07:55 --> 07:56 [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get to that.
07:59 --> 08:12 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think that, I don't know, I guess the question is, is it wise to control a dangerous entity like that, or is it immoral?
08:12 --> 08:19 [SPEAKER_01]: And I think preservation ox would land on the side of immoral, except for her often, who would be like maybe it's wise?
08:22 --> 08:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Karat then is he's a really interesting character because like they they really amped up the empathy for him this episode later on in a couple ways but before this he's been like the most unlikable one right has been the one who's who's always suspicious to the point of not being a team player almost
08:45 --> 08:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I think that they do similar in the books, but I like that, yeah, that they emphasize in the show how the parallels between him and murder bat.
08:58 --> 08:58 [SPEAKER_02]: It's funny.
09:00 --> 09:08 [SPEAKER_02]: I've been reading a lot of Isaac Asama, especially the robot series, and I'm sure you're familiar with Isaac Asama's three laws of robotics.
09:11 --> 09:15 [SPEAKER_02]: There's a whole plot point in one of the books that I read before I watched this episode.
09:15 --> 09:19 [SPEAKER_02]: I finished the second book in that robot series, The Naked Son.
09:20 --> 09:28 [SPEAKER_02]: And there's a whole thing where they're like shocked to that somebody's trying to like get past the first law because like no way a robot could hurt anybody.
09:28 --> 09:32 [SPEAKER_02]: It would break it literally breaks their brains if they hurt or even think that they hurt a human.
09:33 --> 09:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Actually.
09:35 --> 09:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I'm like, there's no way murder about how the positive tronic brain, because murder about doesn't care at all.
09:41 --> 09:45 [SPEAKER_02]: It was just money to go from that to murder about like I was seeing my god.
09:46 --> 09:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Why mean if you're having cruelty modeled for you, why would you not mimic it?
09:52 --> 09:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
09:52 --> 09:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
09:53 --> 10:02 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, well, the the thing with Iasimals Robots is literally like if a human is harmed in front of them, their positronic brain can't handle it and they just go haywire.
10:03 --> 10:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
10:03 --> 10:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
10:04 --> 10:05 [SPEAKER_02]: They will like shut down.
10:06 --> 10:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Super realistic.
10:07 --> 10:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
10:07 --> 10:10 [SPEAKER_02]: I was like murderbot like you wouldn't survive in Asimals.
10:10 --> 10:11 [SPEAKER_01]: You don't know.
10:11 --> 10:12 [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
10:13 --> 10:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Murderbot would have a different name.
10:14 --> 10:16 [SPEAKER_01]: What would murder Ruppy called an Asimals world?
10:18 --> 10:20 [SPEAKER_02]: She'll bot, I don't know.
10:21 --> 10:22 [SPEAKER_01]: TTV bot.
10:22 --> 10:24 [SPEAKER_01]: TX.
10:25 --> 10:28 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, so I'll get to speak even more about the favorite show.
10:28 --> 10:43 [SPEAKER_01]: I have to say that I kind of, clapped and glee with this whole exchange at the end where, uh, in, in the century moon episode where the nav, but, uh, you know, um, what's his face, bad captain, where we call him, evil captain, mutton chops.
10:44 --> 10:47 [SPEAKER_01]: He says a properly functioning machine does what it's told.
10:48 --> 11:16 [SPEAKER_01]: smile and then I wanted to wise gives the most chilling smile and the music goes like full horror music and then she's right before she squishes his head a la kingpin and their devil born again um she says smile I was like yeah that was definitely for the women yeah yeah and I see a reference to the kingpin here yeah I see it I see it
11:17 --> 11:18 [SPEAKER_02]: I did watch it finally.
11:19 --> 11:20 [SPEAKER_02]: So now you did.
11:20 --> 11:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
11:20 --> 11:21 [SPEAKER_01]: What did you think?
11:21 --> 11:21 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
11:22 --> 11:23 [SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was great.
11:23 --> 11:28 [SPEAKER_02]: I did feel like half a season, but that was, I know I know that was a production thing and that's fine.
11:28 --> 11:30 [SPEAKER_02]: And that was a great first half of a season.
11:30 --> 11:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Right, exactly.
11:31 --> 11:34 [SPEAKER_01]: And we know the second half is coming.
11:34 --> 11:41 [SPEAKER_01]: And okay, now we're all set up and we're through that awkwardness of switching, showrunners, et cetera.
11:42 --> 11:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
11:43 --> 11:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Should be good.
11:45 --> 11:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
11:47 --> 11:59 [SPEAKER_01]: So I guess that's the end of some of the Clark Greg and John Chow guest appearances, although I guess there's always free watches and flashbacks, but I think we're gonna see more of Jack McBray or what do you think?
12:00 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_02]: I, well, I think so, but I, I'm, I'm curious, like, what, what is this, this feels very doctor who that they're like stuck in in this loop forever now.
12:10 --> 12:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
12:11 --> 12:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
12:12 --> 12:14 [SPEAKER_02]: I want, I've kind of invested in this.
12:14 --> 12:16 [SPEAKER_02]: I kind of want to spin off of just.
12:17 --> 12:21 [SPEAKER_01]: I know, just, if you made full sanctuary moon episodes, I would watch them.
12:22 --> 12:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
12:22 --> 12:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, it does feel very,
12:25 --> 12:53 [SPEAKER_01]: like like it's the same way I feel about doctor who like when it's it's like pizza it's like what it's good it's good when it's bad it's good and uh... i i would watch that with sanctuary moon this is like the kind of thing i would get into yeah so i mean i guess so they're scurrying the event horizon the event horizon is the point which when you so a wormhole is theoretically uh... basically two black holes tied to like a black hole in a white hole i guess because you spit out the other end
12:55 --> 13:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so you would enter through black hole and invent horizon is the edge over which you cross where you can't return, you know, you're sucked into the black hole after the event horizon.
13:07 --> 13:17 [SPEAKER_01]: So now they're I guess like it sounds like they are like on or just outside the event horizon stuck in an orbit forever.
13:17 --> 13:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't sound very fun.
13:21 --> 13:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Hope they have a renewable food and resources.
13:25 --> 13:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Hope they have their own sanctuary move to watch.
13:28 --> 13:29 [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
13:31 --> 13:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, although you have to ask yourself like if they're stuck in it forever and time isn't happening.
13:37 --> 13:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Do they age?
13:38 --> 13:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Do they need to do they like all this man?
13:42 --> 13:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Why are we hyper-analyzing?
13:44 --> 13:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's true because like think of the interstellar where they go to that planet where watch the interstellar.
13:51 --> 13:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, then you won't get the share.
13:53 --> 13:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's get another member.
13:54 --> 13:55 [SPEAKER_02]: I haven't seen most movies.
13:55 --> 13:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Do you know what I've started doing though?
13:56 --> 13:57 [SPEAKER_02]: I've started.
13:57 --> 14:02 [SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm going to go down the list of the IMDB like top two fifty and try to like watch the ball from the top.
14:03 --> 14:05 [SPEAKER_02]: I think I think that would be a good like film education course for me.
14:06 --> 14:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, that's not or in our chat on the discord in the general movies chat.
14:14 --> 14:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Marilyn and Keith shared some links to the New York Times who's just doing their top one hundred movies of the last twenty five years.
14:22 --> 14:24 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's a good list to go through.
14:25 --> 14:30 [SPEAKER_02]: I think I know, but even David are going to still make fun of me for not watching all these like fifties to seventies movies.
14:31 --> 14:32 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, well, we'll work on it.
14:32 --> 14:33 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll work on it.
14:33 --> 14:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Mostly David makes fun of me more than you do.
14:36 --> 14:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you have so many gems to discover.
14:41 --> 14:41 [SPEAKER_01]: That's a good thing.
14:42 --> 14:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think it's going to be a blast.
14:44 --> 14:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Once I get my nose out of asthma books, I will.
14:48 --> 14:51 [SPEAKER_01]: You just need your movie hyperfixation phase.
14:52 --> 14:52 [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
14:52 --> 14:53 [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
14:55 --> 14:55 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
14:55 --> 14:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we can talk about this.
14:59 --> 15:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Grathan has a piece of his suit still lodged in his leg from when he was shot, and he's looking very, very bad.
15:07 --> 15:13 [SPEAKER_02]: But the recordings from the Habitat cameras show that the enemy group, Great Chris, has left the preservation ox base.
15:13 --> 15:22 [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, knowing they were being recorded, their leader left a message for them, saying that they will leave their base unmolested and inviting them to parlay the next day.
15:23 --> 15:26 [SPEAKER_02]: So against murder bots advice, the group returns to the Habitat.
15:28 --> 15:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I love I love Rati so much as a character and I love the way that the actor portrays him with like this puppy dogish enthusiasm I was thinking I sneak in kind of like stealth only this time I take an even larger gun like
15:47 --> 15:49 [SPEAKER_01]: not remember last time.
15:49 --> 15:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Are you with me?
15:50 --> 15:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
15:51 --> 15:59 [SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I really hope that by the end of this season, murder bot lets Ratti be its friend because he is trying so very hard.
15:59 --> 16:00 [SPEAKER_02]: He left him hang.
16:00 --> 16:04 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think, I think it was a good decision to leave him hanging.
16:05 --> 16:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Like that, that follows the first law of robotics is don't encourage the stupid man.
16:12 --> 16:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, an even bigger one.
16:14 --> 16:16 [SPEAKER_01]: This time he'll get more than like a mark in the forehead.
16:17 --> 16:23 [SPEAKER_02]: There was a bit in the as a while book I just read where the robot partner of the main human goes.
16:24 --> 16:29 [SPEAKER_02]: When he gets threatened, he goes, I couldn't allow you to kill me because I know that that would cause you distress even though you don't think so now.
16:30 --> 16:30 [SPEAKER_02]: And I was like.
16:32 --> 16:35 [SPEAKER_02]: That's so funny that that felt very murder bought, you know.
16:36 --> 16:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
16:39 --> 16:45 [SPEAKER_01]: I love, um, I love that Rotty's nickname Sekhi is sticking from her murderbot, uh, even meant to call her now.
16:46 --> 16:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
16:47 --> 16:51 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think though the Garotten likes Google the new nickname.
16:53 --> 16:58 [SPEAKER_02]: But, um, I don't think Sekhi's going to stick for long because they've already started calling him murderbot.
16:58 --> 16:59 [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
16:59 --> 17:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, what did Raltesei, I'm just trying to, uh, I'm trying to be respectful.
17:10 --> 17:15 [SPEAKER_02]: It's, it felt like somebody saying, I want to respect your pronouns, but like, call you murder bot.
17:15 --> 17:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
17:16 --> 17:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that is murder bot's chosen name, but I think murder bot did say that's private.
17:21 --> 17:26 [SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, if your friend came up to you and said, you know, I'm choosing a new name, murderer.
17:27 --> 17:28 [SPEAKER_02]: That's gonna be my new name.
17:28 --> 17:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Would you respect it?
17:30 --> 17:33 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, sure, like, isn't there?
17:33 --> 17:41 [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like there are examples where people choose really badass names, and it doesn't mean, I don't know.
17:42 --> 17:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Not gonna look good in the police report though.
17:43 --> 17:45 [SPEAKER_01]: It's not gonna look good in the police report.
17:45 --> 17:45 [SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
17:45 --> 17:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
17:46 --> 17:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
17:47 --> 17:50 [SPEAKER_01]: If you call yourself puppy killer and then my dog turns up dead.
17:50 --> 17:50 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
17:51 --> 17:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
17:51 --> 17:53 [SPEAKER_02]: It's like not gonna be great.
17:53 --> 17:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Not the best one.
17:54 --> 17:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
17:55 --> 18:19 [SPEAKER_01]: so so great Chris finally we can say the name great Chris we knew this name from the book that that's the name of the third group um so far they know there's some kind of mining company and yeah we have that we'll we'll talk more about the roti pinley thing later but um we have that exchange there where roti's like damn you're good and pinley gives a smile that just i don't know chose i feel like pinley
18:21 --> 18:25 [SPEAKER_01]: doesn't return Ronti's feelings, but enjoys the appreciation.
18:25 --> 18:43 [SPEAKER_02]: I do think I'm not saying like jealousy in like an open way, but like it can't feel good that you're in a threple and it's presumed by everybody that like the person is more into it for your partner that cannot that cannot feel good.
18:44 --> 18:45 [SPEAKER_02]: And so any
18:46 --> 18:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Point in the other direction feels good to pinlink as it feels like validation.
18:49 --> 18:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Even if pinley is not interested in roti romantically.
18:53 --> 18:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Right, right.
18:54 --> 18:54 [SPEAKER_01]: I guess so.
18:54 --> 18:57 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think roti makes pinley feel seen.
18:57 --> 18:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
19:00 --> 19:00 [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's right.
19:01 --> 19:02 [SPEAKER_02]: And pinley doesn't want to be taken for granted.
19:03 --> 19:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
19:04 --> 19:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
19:04 --> 19:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
19:06 --> 19:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, but okay.
19:06 --> 19:16 [SPEAKER_01]: So we also, we meet the great Chris leader and that's the great Chris leader is the character who I thought maybe the baby was going to turn out to be, but clearly not.
19:17 --> 19:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, but it's the actress is Amanda Brugle and I was driving me crazy for a second.
19:23 --> 19:27 [SPEAKER_01]: She's from Handmaid's Tale for anyone else who was having that itch in their brain.
19:28 --> 19:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I never watched an episode of Handmaid's Tale and I probably never will because I heard it did not end that well.
19:35 --> 19:40 [SPEAKER_01]: I haven't watched the last season, but I think it's very worth it for when it's good.
19:41 --> 19:43 [SPEAKER_01]: It's worth it to at least watch the first season.
19:45 --> 19:47 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to.
19:47 --> 19:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
19:48 --> 19:48 [SPEAKER_02]: I get the point.
19:49 --> 19:51 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm living today.
19:51 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_02]: I know what it is.
19:53 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_02]: The point is.
19:55 --> 20:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, well, but yeah, so would you think of this proposal?
20:00 --> 20:01 [SPEAKER_01]: We destroyed your beacon.
20:01 --> 20:03 [SPEAKER_01]: You killed our colleague.
20:03 --> 20:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's call it a wash.
20:04 --> 20:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Delphalls beacons also destroyed.
20:06 --> 20:09 [SPEAKER_01]: So you're not getting off this planet unless you talk to us.
20:09 --> 20:12 [SPEAKER_01]: It's all been a huge misunderstanding.
20:13 --> 20:13 [SPEAKER_01]: What would he?
20:14 --> 20:23 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess we do know this is setting up something for the book so we have to try carefully, but if you were them, how would you feel in a situation?
20:24 --> 20:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I don't think I trust them at all.
20:25 --> 20:29 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they literally tried to kill them several times, right?
20:29 --> 20:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Like this is not somebody who can trust like, oh, you know, now everything's fine.
20:34 --> 20:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Like why would you trust them at all?
20:37 --> 20:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, but at the same time, I guess it is key, and this is not in the book.
20:44 --> 20:52 [SPEAKER_01]: The mentor said that if we waited out for a month, then maybe they'll come because we didn't come back and return their stuff.
20:53 --> 20:56 [SPEAKER_01]: So the company might come looking for their transport and stuff.
20:58 --> 21:01 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, otherwise, what do they do?
21:01 --> 21:05 [SPEAKER_01]: They're literally, they don't have the beacons to call for help.
21:07 --> 21:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I, I, I'm not saying that they shouldn't work with them, but you should keep them very far, you know, at arms reach.
21:16 --> 21:16 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
21:16 --> 21:20 [SPEAKER_02]: You should not be like having them handle anything that has to do with your safety.
21:21 --> 21:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
21:21 --> 21:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
21:22 --> 21:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
21:23 --> 21:23 [SPEAKER_01]: No.
21:24 --> 21:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the group is feeling cocky after they think they handled themselves pretty well in that last punch up.
21:31 --> 21:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
21:35 --> 21:39 [SPEAKER_02]: I loved murderbot being like, no, you're very unlikely to survive this.
21:40 --> 21:41 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we're going to do something.
21:42 --> 21:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe not that, though.
21:44 --> 21:47 [SPEAKER_01]: And then the punch to the gut to Ratti, especially not you.
21:51 --> 21:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Literally knocked himself out.
21:53 --> 21:53 [SPEAKER_02]: No.
21:54 --> 21:57 [SPEAKER_02]: He looks at a mirror that shows his worst enemy.
21:57 --> 21:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
22:00 --> 22:02 [SPEAKER_01]: All poor Ratti, I just want to give him a hug.
22:03 --> 22:04 [SPEAKER_02]: I love him.
22:04 --> 22:06 [SPEAKER_02]: I think he's great comic relief character.
22:06 --> 22:12 [SPEAKER_01]: I just... I'm not surprised that Mensa did not say he was next leader.
22:13 --> 22:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Right, yeah, exactly.
22:14 --> 22:16 [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, yeah, let's go in.
22:16 --> 22:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Let's go in kick, drop kick everybody.
22:19 --> 22:20 [SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that's him.
22:21 --> 22:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, it's more about his fantasy about being a badass than actually putting in the work to do it like pinley is done.
22:27 --> 22:28 [SPEAKER_02]: Right, right.
22:29 --> 22:32 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, you want to take a break and then we'll finish the episode.
22:33 --> 22:33 [SPEAKER_01]: great.
22:48 --> 22:49 [SPEAKER_02]: We're back.
22:49 --> 22:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Can you tell me about what's going to happen?
22:52 --> 22:54 [SPEAKER_02]: I want you to say it because it's a funny hashtag.
22:55 --> 22:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Hashtag Garibot is born.
22:58 --> 23:04 [SPEAKER_01]: So they need to operate on her offense leg and fast, but he refuses pain killers because that's how his former addiction began.
23:05 --> 23:11 [SPEAKER_01]: However, he and murderbot realize that murderbot can link to his brain to block his pain receptors.
23:11 --> 23:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, this is successful as is the surgery, but murderbot is thrown by the chaos of human thought, and accidentally speaks girathens thoughts about Mensa.
23:21 --> 23:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Why can't you love me back?
23:23 --> 23:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Out loud.
23:24 --> 23:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Girathen and turn digs around in murderbot's head and finds the traces of video of the massacre that murderbot's been pondering itself.
23:31 --> 23:37 [SPEAKER_01]: And girathen learns that second unit calls itself murderbot, and shares all of this with the group.
23:38 --> 23:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's freaked out.
23:40 --> 23:41 [SPEAKER_01]: So, do you think it's fair?
23:41 --> 23:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Is it fair for them to be freaked out at this point?
23:44 --> 23:45 [SPEAKER_02]: I think so.
23:45 --> 23:51 [SPEAKER_02]: And I have to say, I really enjoyed that Karathan's like, all right, first things first, stop me from dying.
23:52 --> 23:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Second thing, before you unplug, I'm going to the bottom of the screen.
23:54 --> 23:56 [SPEAKER_01]: And just second, yeah.
23:57 --> 23:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was great.
23:58 --> 23:58 [SPEAKER_02]: That was great.
23:59 --> 24:06 [SPEAKER_02]: I was kind of confused though, like murderbot, just was able to just unplug the Kivier for unplugged the USB without prompting your computer.
24:06 --> 24:07 [SPEAKER_02]: It's not happy about it.
24:08 --> 24:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you should be honest, I do it all the time.
24:10 --> 24:18 [SPEAKER_02]: It's just fine, but as long as you're not like writing something or writing it in the middle of something, yeah.
24:20 --> 24:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, um, I, but at the same time, it is true that this is like,
24:25 --> 24:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine if someone could get into your head and hear the private most thoughts that you think about yourself and then tells the rest of the group that, like, it is private, even if it's a little scary, or especially because it sounds a little scary?
24:41 --> 24:42 [SPEAKER_02]: I would not like that.
24:42 --> 24:44 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to live in the X-Men world.
24:45 --> 24:46 [SPEAKER_01]: With Charles.
24:47 --> 24:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
24:47 --> 24:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
24:48 --> 24:50 [SPEAKER_02]: And it doesn't gene gray also do that.
24:50 --> 24:50 [SPEAKER_01]: True.
24:51 --> 24:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's others too, yeah.
24:53 --> 24:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
24:55 --> 25:00 [SPEAKER_02]: I will say I was both laughing and sad at why I can't you love me back.
25:00 --> 25:02 [SPEAKER_02]: I loved when he goes, did I just say something?
25:02 --> 25:09 [SPEAKER_02]: No, just shut some right down.
25:10 --> 25:15 [SPEAKER_01]: He did not say something murder about said his thoughts and men said definitely knew what it was about.
25:15 --> 25:17 [SPEAKER_01]: It was like awkward.
25:18 --> 25:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's, that's that.
25:19 --> 25:23 [SPEAKER_02]: And Menta, I mean, we heard her raise her voice this episode for the first time, which is crazy.
25:24 --> 25:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
25:25 --> 25:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
25:26 --> 25:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she, she kind of apologized to Routi after that, but yeah.
25:30 --> 25:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I have a question about what pinley said where they were talking.
25:35 --> 25:51 [SPEAKER_01]: We're basically that they're confronting murder but and murder but says that yes, it is killed people but it was protecting clients for that's not so that's not murder and pinley said debatable is killing people to protect your client murder.
25:53 --> 25:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, it depends if you're asking on like a legal standpoint or a moral standpoint, right?
25:59 --> 26:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, if you're intentionally killing somebody for a moral from a moral standpoint, unless it's in self defense, then yeah.
26:08 --> 26:13 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if it presumably, that's what murder about means, like, well, I guess Libby was that murder?
26:13 --> 26:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, defensive others.
26:15 --> 26:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
26:15 --> 26:24 [SPEAKER_01]: So this surgery, I think, was in some ways, Ikea, then the back surgery, the prior episode.
26:24 --> 26:25 [SPEAKER_01]: What do you think?
26:27 --> 26:29 [SPEAKER_02]: This surgery was pretty Ikea.
26:31 --> 26:36 [SPEAKER_02]: I was able to watch it though, and I was not able to watch the spinal surgery.
26:36 --> 26:37 [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to disagree with you.
26:37 --> 26:39 [SPEAKER_02]: I think the spinal surgery was way Ikea.
26:39 --> 26:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
26:40 --> 26:44 [SPEAKER_02]: There's something about opening the back that like goes, ah, I don't know.
26:44 --> 26:46 [SPEAKER_01]: This one also the gas gangrene.
26:47 --> 26:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, just, um, and I, so I did have to look it up and then I saw a whole bunch of pictures online and oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.
26:54 --> 26:55 [SPEAKER_01]: But it's crazy.
26:56 --> 26:57 [SPEAKER_01]: I needed to know.
26:57 --> 26:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Why, why in the world would you do that?
26:59 --> 26:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's on you.
26:59 --> 27:00 [SPEAKER_02]: That's not on the show.
27:02 --> 27:13 [SPEAKER_01]: But it is, so basically guest gangrene, it causes, like, I guess a guest production that causes gangrene and sepsis.
27:13 --> 27:24 [SPEAKER_01]: So basically it would play out, you know, the person would go to toxic shock, like we saw happening with girathin and it can be potentially fatal often leads to losing a limb or something like that.
27:24 --> 27:25 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's this.
27:26 --> 27:28 [SPEAKER_01]: It was, they needed to surgery fast.
27:29 --> 27:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Bard was, it's pointed out, murdered about points out.
27:32 --> 27:40 [SPEAKER_01]: She's not a medical doctor, but she's now, this is her second surgical procedure and she seems to be having natural calling there.
27:41 --> 27:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
27:42 --> 27:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Can I ask you though, how was growth and just like fine right after it was removed?
27:47 --> 27:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Like that's not how sepsis works.
27:50 --> 27:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
27:51 --> 27:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but especially because murderbot disconnected.
27:54 --> 27:56 [SPEAKER_01]: So the pain should have come back along.
27:56 --> 27:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
27:57 --> 28:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Like there's no reason that I don't understand why was um, was growth and just like fine.
28:05 --> 28:07 [SPEAKER_02]: Like infection in the go away because you removed the cause.
28:08 --> 28:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
28:09 --> 28:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, I guess then it's easy to treat.
28:14 --> 28:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Now that they don't have the four in object in there.
28:16 --> 28:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but that's still going to take like, that's going to take like two weeks for him.
28:20 --> 28:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
28:21 --> 28:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, maybe we say that they have super antibiotics now.
28:24 --> 28:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Sure, but still growth and should have been in pain after the pain blocking was removed with murder bot.
28:31 --> 28:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe we can, can hold in residual pain, but can't hold when you're actually inside his leg.
28:39 --> 28:45 [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like Murdoch did take a little bit of sadistic glee though of just unannounced turning off Girathan's site as well.
28:46 --> 28:47 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
28:47 --> 28:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you shouldn't see this.
28:50 --> 28:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do think that was a little bit a little bit mean without telling him.
28:54 --> 28:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
28:58 --> 29:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it was, but leading into this situation, you know, we, we want the bromance between them.
29:05 --> 29:08 [SPEAKER_01]: They started to notice that they were sharing way of thinking.
29:08 --> 29:11 [SPEAKER_01]: They were finishing each other's sentences.
29:11 --> 29:16 [SPEAKER_01]: But then, yeah, then Google was mean to Sekiz, like maybe you're just effective.
29:17 --> 29:21 [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like though, when he said that he was talking about himself, he's projecting.
29:23 --> 29:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I, I could see that.
29:26 --> 29:26 [SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
29:28 --> 29:31 [SPEAKER_02]: Gore about, you have me saying all these things now.
29:32 --> 29:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Grathin is definitely not the most secure version and definitely projects that insecurity on other people.
29:39 --> 29:40 [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
29:42 --> 29:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
29:43 --> 29:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
29:44 --> 29:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess we now know that if we find ourselves living in this distant future, which is I guess where I guess murder about the series is set in our own distant future, is my understanding.
29:58 --> 30:04 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, then we know that we can learn about medicine from Med Center, Argala.
30:04 --> 30:05 [SPEAKER_01]: It seems to be a solid show.
30:06 --> 30:08 [SPEAKER_02]: I've seen five seasons of house.
30:08 --> 30:09 [SPEAKER_02]: I could definitely do surgery.
30:10 --> 30:12 [SPEAKER_01]: But we've got David watching the pits.
30:12 --> 30:15 [SPEAKER_01]: So I just need to catch up on my medical dramas.
30:17 --> 30:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he can, he can rank the pit in his top ten, but I think I'm going to stay out of it because I don't know, how is the only medical drama I like?
30:24 --> 30:27 [SPEAKER_02]: And that's because it's kind of more of a Sherlock show than a medical show.
30:29 --> 30:35 [SPEAKER_01]: If I were to, I mean, like, I used to try with, for instance, Grey's Anatomy, which I can't believe is still running.
30:37 --> 30:39 [SPEAKER_01]: But it's just, yeah, it's not necessarily my thing.
30:39 --> 30:42 [SPEAKER_01]: I like scrubs, you know, I like scrubs, but that was about the characters and the humor and stuff.
30:42 --> 30:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's a documentary.
30:44 --> 30:46 [SPEAKER_02]: That's, that's me with the office.
30:47 --> 30:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
30:47 --> 30:51 [SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't watch a real show about running a paper company either.
30:52 --> 30:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, I guess not.
30:53 --> 31:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, but I, if I were to watch something, I would watch the pit because I hear such good things about it, but there's so much to catch up on.
31:02 --> 31:02 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anyway.
31:02 --> 31:03 [SPEAKER_02]: I know.
31:03 --> 31:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'll watch it.
31:04 --> 31:08 [SPEAKER_02]: And you've kind of inspired me to watch the pit now as much as you said you're not going to.
31:10 --> 31:10 [SPEAKER_01]: All right.
31:10 --> 31:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you watch it and like it, let me know.
31:12 --> 31:14 [SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, maybe I'll get rid of that.
31:14 --> 31:15 [SPEAKER_02]: You know what you're watching?
31:16 --> 31:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
31:17 --> 31:20 [SPEAKER_01]: I think David would like to do a what you're watching for the pit.
31:21 --> 31:25 [SPEAKER_02]: He's really big on that format now, and I wanted to do it all.
31:25 --> 31:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I did one with him the other day.
31:27 --> 31:28 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember the name of the show.
31:28 --> 31:29 [SPEAKER_02]: It was very quick.
31:30 --> 31:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Have a new department queue?
31:32 --> 31:33 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, thank you.
31:33 --> 31:38 [SPEAKER_01]: I have a new queue would say, like, I've run chances to be so okay.
31:39 --> 31:41 [SPEAKER_01]: If anyone who doesn't know is like a ranchy sesame street musical.
31:42 --> 31:43 [SPEAKER_02]: I know I'm a new cue.
31:43 --> 31:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I never saw it, but I listened.
31:46 --> 31:50 [SPEAKER_02]: I discovered the soundtrack when I was in high school and you could imagine that sixteen year old he was delighted by the sound.
31:51 --> 31:54 [SPEAKER_01]: It opened when I was living in New York.
31:54 --> 31:59 [SPEAKER_01]: So when I was living in New York, then I was really on top of all the Broadway plays.
31:59 --> 32:03 [SPEAKER_01]: And now people talk about plays in Broadway plays in New York.
32:03 --> 32:05 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I've never even heard of anything anymore.
32:07 --> 32:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, we get them like like we're just finally getting Hades town this summer here.
32:11 --> 32:13 [SPEAKER_01]: So I heard it's good.
32:14 --> 32:15 [SPEAKER_01]: I've heard it's good too.
32:15 --> 32:23 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've listened to the soundtrack because you know that Donald Finn Matt from Wheel of Time played one of the characters in the London run.
32:23 --> 32:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?
32:24 --> 32:25 [SPEAKER_02]: That's interesting.
32:25 --> 32:26 [SPEAKER_02]: See you good singer.
32:27 --> 32:28 [SPEAKER_01]: I guess he was very good.
32:28 --> 32:28 [SPEAKER_01]: Very good.
32:29 --> 32:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Very exceptional.
32:31 --> 32:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
32:32 --> 32:34 [SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say we have to get him singing next season.
32:34 --> 32:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Then I remembered.
32:35 --> 32:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Savewhat.com.
32:38 --> 32:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Savewhat.com is up to like a hundred and ninety thousand signatures and there's been a banner across the sky in Culver City where the Amazon Studios are.
32:49 --> 32:56 [SPEAKER_01]: There's been billboards around the world of major cities so making a big splash and people aren't ready to give up yet.
32:57 --> 33:00 [SPEAKER_02]: And remember folks hope is never me or even one of his meager.
33:01 --> 33:06 [SPEAKER_01]: And then, uh, Wheel of Time is saying to Amazon, why can't you love me back?
33:06 --> 33:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Why can't you love me back?
33:09 --> 33:10 [SPEAKER_01]: So, okay.
33:11 --> 33:18 [SPEAKER_01]: So Karatin said, I love the others, the way one loves their own children, but you I love is my equal, my better.
33:18 --> 33:19 [SPEAKER_01]: Is that romantic love?
33:20 --> 33:20 [SPEAKER_01]: I guess?
33:21 --> 33:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Or is it like confusing for a romantic love?
33:24 --> 33:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Adoration for a romantic love?
33:28 --> 33:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
33:29 --> 33:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Is it sort of, you know, I've talked about how, like, there's different kinds of objectification, right?
33:38 --> 33:49 [SPEAKER_02]: And there's objectification of people as like, I want to own that object and there's objectification of people as like, I'm going to see you on a pedestal.
33:50 --> 33:52 [SPEAKER_02]: And I want to admire that object, but I don't want exactly.
33:52 --> 33:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
33:53 --> 33:56 [SPEAKER_02]: And so, yeah, I think that's this kind of, in a way.
33:57 --> 34:14 [SPEAKER_01]: I think like, but the sweet and bitter game that we saw last episode, I think that's kind of what they're trying to tell us that Garoth and can't see, we'll finally Garoth and did say, maybe you're a bit naive, but Garoth and doesn't want to see Mensa as an entire person with flaws and all.
34:15 --> 34:15 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
34:16 --> 34:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
34:18 --> 34:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
34:19 --> 34:22 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it doesn't want to finish the, we can talk about it.
34:23 --> 34:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
34:24 --> 34:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
34:27 --> 34:32 [SPEAKER_02]: So maybe we should we should talk about it the next week.
34:32 --> 34:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Should we talk about a change of plans?
34:34 --> 34:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
34:36 --> 34:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Murderbot goes on a long walk to process.
34:38 --> 34:41 [SPEAKER_02]: It's feelings and the rest of the team talks through the great Chris situation.
34:42 --> 34:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Pin Lee is certain that the company wouldn't put them in danger because it would be bad for the company.
34:46 --> 34:48 [SPEAKER_02]: So great Chris must be a separate entity.
34:49 --> 34:53 [SPEAKER_02]: We go out and remind them that someone may have taken a bribe to cover up a third group coming to the planet.
34:54 --> 35:03 [SPEAKER_02]: Rottie's best guess is they are looking for alien remnants like the globe of when the centipede make a fauna were drawn to at the start of the season.
35:04 --> 35:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Delphalb must have gotten in their way.
35:06 --> 35:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Their choices are to flee and wait for the company to come looking for them eventually.
35:10 --> 35:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Or, these great Chris and try to negotiate a way out.
35:17 --> 35:21 [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, we have a murder bout storms off.
35:22 --> 35:24 [SPEAKER_02]: And not only.
35:24 --> 35:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and murder bout's like, well, yeah, I'm stuck here if I'm not with the group.
35:30 --> 35:32 [SPEAKER_01]: But I mean that I understand understand that reaction at that point.
35:33 --> 35:37 [SPEAKER_01]: And here we see like only men's of barely, which is surprising.
35:37 --> 35:41 [SPEAKER_01]: And barred was and Rati are sad to see murder bout go.
35:44 --> 35:48 [SPEAKER_01]: And Mensa, this is when her Mensa snaps at Rotty and says, it can do whatever it wants.
35:48 --> 35:49 [SPEAKER_01]: It's not your pet.
35:52 --> 35:53 [SPEAKER_01]: What did you think of her?
35:54 --> 35:56 [SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was like, was that even her voice?
35:56 --> 35:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Because you haven't heard her voice before.
35:58 --> 36:03 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, people with different members when they're raised and when they're, she'd been kind of doing a vocal for the whole time.
36:04 --> 36:09 [SPEAKER_02]: I was shocked that she yelled, but I get it.
36:09 --> 36:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, she's stressed and everybody else is just kind of being children about it.
36:13 --> 36:16 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, yeah, yeah, I said about storming off.
36:17 --> 36:24 [SPEAKER_02]: I wish that we could have had Nathan Fielder putting some music on because I feel like that would have fit with me up inside.
36:24 --> 36:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Did we just see Nathan Fielder standing there with his laptop sling?
36:29 --> 36:32 [SPEAKER_02]: I love the laptop sling.
36:32 --> 36:34 [SPEAKER_02]: It looks like a fatty pack on him.
36:34 --> 36:34 [SPEAKER_02]: It's perfect.
36:35 --> 36:38 [SPEAKER_01]: This is a rehearsal reference for anyone who doesn't know.
36:39 --> 36:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's got to watch the rehearsal.
36:40 --> 36:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
36:41 --> 36:44 [SPEAKER_02]: It's the the most unique TV I've seen in my entire life.
36:45 --> 36:47 [SPEAKER_01]: We still have to do a one shot for that.
36:47 --> 36:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's angry.
36:49 --> 36:49 [SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
36:52 --> 36:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but the so the alien remnants we heard before that they can be exploited for financial gain.
36:58 --> 37:03 [SPEAKER_01]: So I guess that's a good bet that when people are start getting murdery, it's often because
37:04 --> 37:06 [SPEAKER_01]: the money's in play.
37:08 --> 37:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
37:10 --> 37:12 [SPEAKER_02]: And we can always follow the money and figure out people's motives.
37:13 --> 37:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
37:15 --> 37:37 [SPEAKER_01]: especially in corporation rim yeah that's the thing is like preservation ox is trying to be better and we know I mean what would love to hear more about the other groups from outside the corporation rim and how if they're similar or different or you know I I've only read the first two books so I don't know if they go forward and like maybe
37:38 --> 37:48 [SPEAKER_01]: trying to team up, you know, because that's often, if you have these, we know that the corporation rim is trying to turn whatever other groups are out there against each other.
37:48 --> 37:49 [SPEAKER_01]: We've heard that in the show.
37:51 --> 38:03 [SPEAKER_01]: And even if they decide to team up, if they're all uniquely different, you know, if they're all independent for different reasons, it's going to be hard to align themselves.
38:05 --> 38:07 [SPEAKER_01]: get some wheel of time, pilot ticking.
38:09 --> 38:10 [SPEAKER_02]: We'll have time.
38:10 --> 38:13 [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to bring the wheel time into every show now, right?
38:13 --> 38:16 [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to make it live on as particles and everything else.
38:17 --> 38:18 [SPEAKER_01]: This is not a new feature.
38:18 --> 38:20 [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
38:20 --> 38:22 [SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
38:23 --> 38:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of wheel of time, we have a trouble break up.
38:26 --> 38:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my God.
38:27 --> 38:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we have more than troubles and we have time.
38:29 --> 38:30 [SPEAKER_02]: We have like what troubles?
38:30 --> 38:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
38:31 --> 38:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
38:33 --> 38:35 [SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, I guess also in Murderbot.
38:35 --> 38:35 [SPEAKER_01]: We don't know.
38:35 --> 38:39 [SPEAKER_01]: We know that Mensa has multiple spouses, but we don't know the whole situation.
38:41 --> 38:45 [SPEAKER_01]: But here, yeah, Rati proposes, professors love to pinly.
38:45 --> 38:48 [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, I kind of thought everyone knew that was a dynamic.
38:48 --> 38:53 [SPEAKER_01]: But I guess the thing is at the end of the day, Murderbot knew that was the dynamic and told us in the first episode.
38:54 --> 39:01 [SPEAKER_01]: But the humans are a, not watch each other all the time on surveillance and be a bit more oblivious to these things sometimes.
39:03 --> 39:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
39:04 --> 39:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
39:05 --> 39:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
39:05 --> 39:06 [SPEAKER_02]: I see what you're saying there.
39:06 --> 39:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
39:08 --> 39:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
39:09 --> 39:15 [SPEAKER_01]: I did feel for a rada, though, where it was just like, I am in love with you, Pinley.
39:15 --> 39:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Not you, a rada.
39:16 --> 39:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
39:17 --> 39:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
39:17 --> 39:18 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm slapping your hand away.
39:19 --> 39:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I felt for a rada, but also like a rada was like completely oblivious to Pinley's feelings, right?
39:27 --> 39:30 [SPEAKER_02]: So I, so I don't think a rada was being a very good partner this season.
39:30 --> 39:31 [SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no.
39:32 --> 39:32 [SPEAKER_02]: In general.
39:34 --> 39:37 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think Pinley is owed a little at a, at a girl.
39:37 --> 39:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's, it's also Pinley.
39:42 --> 39:48 [SPEAKER_01]: I think is unintentionally leading Rotty on a little bit, just because they enjoy the admiration.
39:49 --> 40:01 [SPEAKER_01]: And, and Aurora, like, Pinley and Aurora, we don't know how long they've been together probably a while and they're like in that settled place where maybe Aurora seems to have been taking Pinley for granted a bit.
40:02 --> 40:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that's right.
40:05 --> 40:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
40:06 --> 40:10 [SPEAKER_02]: So I maybe they were trying to shake it up with the trouble and then, uh, I don't know.
40:10 --> 40:13 [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Rattie and Pinley will end up sailing off into the sunset.
40:14 --> 40:16 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Pinley has those feelings.
40:16 --> 40:20 [SPEAKER_01]: I think Pinley just enjoys being admired, which is fair.
40:21 --> 40:21 [SPEAKER_02]: Who doesn't, right?
40:21 --> 40:23 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, everybody likes being admired.
40:23 --> 40:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
40:24 --> 40:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
40:24 --> 40:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
40:25 --> 40:33 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think, uh, Piddly and and and Arada or end game at the end of the day, whether or not anyone else gets involved.
40:33 --> 40:34 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's going to be Rotty.
40:35 --> 40:38 [SPEAKER_01]: I hope Rotty meets somebody else.
40:39 --> 40:39 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
40:40 --> 40:41 [SPEAKER_01]: It feels the same way.
40:41 --> 40:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
40:42 --> 40:44 [SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a ratty and murderbot.
40:47 --> 40:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, roti wishes.
40:49 --> 40:50 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right.
40:51 --> 40:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Where do what's going to go?
40:54 --> 40:54 [SPEAKER_01]: No.
40:55 --> 40:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, rota says, this is really bad.
40:57 --> 40:59 [SPEAKER_01]: We need murder bots back.
40:59 --> 41:04 [SPEAKER_01]: And then murder bot says, and then I realized, even if they were dead, I didn't have to be.
41:05 --> 41:12 [SPEAKER_01]: I could write my own storyline, the rogue, second unit, who betrayed its clients, and then murder bot first back into the habitat.
41:12 --> 41:12 [SPEAKER_01]: I have a plan.
41:14 --> 41:22 [SPEAKER_01]: So this is one again where it's like the last couple episodes have been going away from like adding more to the book, you know, adding more and between stuff.
41:23 --> 41:32 [SPEAKER_01]: And now this I have a plan seems to be putting us right back on track for the end of the book, which is two more episodes.
41:33 --> 41:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and they're clearly doing some kind of like subversion where they're trying to make it sound like murder bots coming back to kill them all.
41:39 --> 41:44 [SPEAKER_02]: But I don't think murder bot would shout I have a plan if murder bot kill them all would just go away and start shooting.
41:45 --> 41:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is like I said, I'm done with us being suspicious of murder rat.
41:49 --> 41:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
41:50 --> 41:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I think you're about to prove in itself plenty by now.
41:54 --> 41:57 [SPEAKER_02]: But I love that everybody gets scared by it and then I have a plan.
42:00 --> 42:00 [SPEAKER_02]: Very good.
42:01 --> 42:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
42:02 --> 42:03 [SPEAKER_02]: That's why it's so good.
42:03 --> 42:15 [SPEAKER_02]: It's because it kind of is playing on the tropes that Murderbot has learned like what if you knew somebody who all of its experience human interaction was from a soap opera and and they're really awkward.
42:16 --> 42:18 [SPEAKER_02]: And then so it please on it.
42:18 --> 42:21 [SPEAKER_02]: It makes you, it makes you kind of re-examine how silly a soap opera is too.
42:22 --> 42:23 [SPEAKER_02]: It's very funny.
42:23 --> 42:24 [SPEAKER_02]: It's great.
42:24 --> 42:24 [SPEAKER_02]: It's great right now.
42:24 --> 42:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
42:25 --> 42:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm just the dynamics of, I mean, I think every cast member is just playing their roles so well and the characters are all distinct and they feel real because they have like specific little details of, you know, their strengths and their foibles and yeah, I love, I love this crew of space hippies.
42:49 --> 42:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's been a fun season so far.
42:51 --> 42:52 [SPEAKER_02]: We only have a couple episodes left.
42:52 --> 42:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I know.
42:54 --> 42:57 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think the last episode is going to come out the same that is foundation.
42:57 --> 43:00 [SPEAKER_02]: They're going to do it over and try to get people in on it.
43:02 --> 43:02 [SPEAKER_02]: Should be fun.
43:03 --> 43:05 [SPEAKER_02]: I think that would silo and severance, right?
43:05 --> 43:06 [SPEAKER_01]: They did.
43:06 --> 43:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
43:07 --> 43:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Makes sense.
43:08 --> 43:08 [SPEAKER_01]: It makes sense.
43:08 --> 43:11 [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, hey, we still have sci-fi going.
43:11 --> 43:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Always a sci-fi show here.
43:12 --> 43:14 [SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't see it.
43:14 --> 43:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Apple is like the king of sci-fi right now.
43:17 --> 43:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
43:18 --> 43:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know what happened, but Apple is like, has all the good sci-fi on it.
43:23 --> 43:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's why people are like, but you know what you don't have fantasy.
43:27 --> 43:31 [SPEAKER_02]: All right, all right.
43:32 --> 43:39 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no, I mean, I think that there's an interest and there's a niche and there's a natural like Apple users.
43:39 --> 43:45 [SPEAKER_01]: They want people to buy their hardware, which I'm never going to do, but I will keep investing in these shows.
43:47 --> 43:57 [SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate also the accessibility, like someone who was at someone was comparing, oh, it was when I was on the Zoom minute podcast.
43:59 --> 44:03 [SPEAKER_01]: They were talking about watching Dune on two different services.
44:04 --> 44:06 [SPEAKER_01]: And the Apple version had better subtitles.
44:06 --> 44:08 [SPEAKER_01]: And like I believe that because they are.
44:09 --> 44:12 [SPEAKER_01]: They put more human effort into things like that.
44:13 --> 44:15 [SPEAKER_01]: But you're not going to make me use your hardware.
44:15 --> 44:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
44:16 --> 44:18 [SPEAKER_02]: I like I think they make the best laptops.
44:18 --> 44:19 [SPEAKER_02]: I really do.
44:20 --> 44:22 [SPEAKER_02]: It's actually to solve the best laptops.
44:23 --> 44:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, actually it's the software that's the problem.
44:24 --> 44:27 [SPEAKER_01]: It says like you have to do things only one way.
44:27 --> 44:28 [SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
44:29 --> 44:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I hear you, I hear you.
44:31 --> 44:33 [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, all right.
44:33 --> 44:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's stop debating Apple stuff because I like it and I like PC stuff.
44:39 --> 44:44 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm recording on a PC right now, but I also have a Mac laptop because it works really well for me.
44:45 --> 44:45 [SPEAKER_01]: That's fair.
44:45 --> 44:46 [SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's fair.
44:48 --> 44:50 [SPEAKER_02]: All right, well, two more episodes of Murderbot Coming.
44:50 --> 44:59 [SPEAKER_02]: If you want to talk with us about it, go to lorehoundsetthelorhounds.com and send us an email or go to the Discord server, which is linked in the link between the show notes.
45:00 --> 45:03 [SPEAKER_02]: And what else we got going on on this feed?
45:04 --> 45:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, Ironheart started.
45:06 --> 45:10 [SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, as I guess this is probably, yeah, this is coming out today.
45:11 --> 45:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Ironheart episodes, uh, one through three is coming out tomorrow.
45:14 --> 45:16 [SPEAKER_01]: Sean and I are recording that later today.
45:17 --> 45:28 [SPEAKER_01]: And, um, also we're recording to come out on Monday, the twenty eight years later episode breakdown, which is now officially my second favorite film of the year.
45:29 --> 45:52 [SPEAKER_01]: after sinners and we also did an episode in the subscriber feed that was looking back on twenty eight days and twenty eight weeks later where we talked about zombies in media and culture and then the meaning and how this series upended all of that and now we're going to talk about the new film which is whether I loved what else is going on on the supercast and patreon feeds
45:53 --> 45:53 [SPEAKER_02]: very cool.
45:53 --> 45:57 [SPEAKER_02]: By the way, I wanted to mention some early stories are going to be a little late coming this month.
45:58 --> 46:01 [SPEAKER_02]: It's Maryland and I are going to be covering foundation together.
46:01 --> 46:05 [SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to get ahead on that with thanks to Apple screeners.
46:05 --> 46:07 [SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to get ahead on that and we're going to postpone.
46:07 --> 46:09 [SPEAKER_02]: She's going to be on the next some early in story.
46:09 --> 46:13 [SPEAKER_02]: So that'll probably come out late July early August, maybe.
46:13 --> 46:15 [SPEAKER_02]: So kind of skipping a month, but that's all right.
46:16 --> 46:18 [SPEAKER_02]: The summer early and will still be there.
46:18 --> 46:19 [SPEAKER_02]: It's been there for forty years.
46:21 --> 46:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, but we have a ton on the Supercast Patriot on feed.
46:25 --> 46:28 [SPEAKER_02]: We've got a ton of extra content for things like Android severance.
46:29 --> 46:33 [SPEAKER_02]: We've got the Sony Spider Villainverse Power Ranking Funeral.
46:34 --> 46:35 [SPEAKER_01]: That was a fun one.
46:35 --> 46:38 [SPEAKER_01]: I, yeah, I defended Morbius and bats.
46:40 --> 46:44 [SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, second breakfast in eleven seas, we just did the West Anderson.
46:44 --> 46:47 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm calling it the author spotlight because it's a fancy.
46:47 --> 46:48 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
46:48 --> 46:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Um, and we
46:50 --> 46:51 [SPEAKER_02]: We did, yeah, exactly.
46:52 --> 46:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Who wouldn't want to be called an author?
46:53 --> 46:54 [SPEAKER_02]: That's such a cool plan.
46:56 --> 46:59 [SPEAKER_02]: We did Isle of Dog's versus the Royal Ten of Moms.
46:59 --> 47:00 [SPEAKER_02]: That was a lot of fun.
47:00 --> 47:01 [SPEAKER_02]: That was a good recording.
47:02 --> 47:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
47:02 --> 47:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess Valkamer would also like to be seen as an artiest.
47:06 --> 47:11 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's Valkamer's artiest corner for July.
47:12 --> 47:12 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
47:12 --> 47:13 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited.
47:14 --> 47:15 [SPEAKER_02]: We have to post the poll for that.
47:16 --> 47:19 [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, and check out our affiliates.
47:19 --> 47:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Nevermind, the music has weekly podcasts on music and psychology.
47:23 --> 47:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Very, very cool conversations.
47:24 --> 47:28 [SPEAKER_02]: If you're not listening to nevermind the music, and you like what we do here, please go check them out.
47:29 --> 47:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Same thing goes for radioactive ramlings, who's doing fallout lore ahead of the new season in the winter.
47:37 --> 47:42 [SPEAKER_02]: And probably Howard is currently doing a season on Kevin Bacon at six degrees of Kevin Bacon.
47:42 --> 47:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Bacon wrapped, is that what it's called?
47:44 --> 47:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
47:45 --> 47:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
47:46 --> 47:46 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
47:47 --> 47:50 [SPEAKER_02]: And what do you have going on on Walsh if Dustin Star Wars canon?
47:51 --> 47:59 [SPEAKER_01]: We're just kicking off the Dune series on Walsh if Dustin Star Wars canon timeline is hyper public.
47:59 --> 48:04 [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm actually I'm going to be doing a rewatch of the acolyte in chronological order.
48:04 --> 48:06 [SPEAKER_01]: So starting with episodes three and seven.
48:07 --> 48:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Very cool.
48:09 --> 48:12 [SPEAKER_01]: With some stuff in between that came out because there's new acolyte books that came out and stuff so.
48:13 --> 48:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, very cool.
48:14 --> 48:16 [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't realize that that was coming out.
48:16 --> 48:17 [SPEAKER_02]: I haven't kept up on my Star Wars releases.
48:18 --> 48:21 [SPEAKER_01]: So no, I've not given up on that show either.
48:23 --> 48:25 [SPEAKER_02]: That would, that you might be stretching a little bit with that one.
48:25 --> 48:26 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it was.
48:26 --> 48:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the, the thing about that one is that that one is like one hundred percent owned by, it's Star Wars.
48:32 --> 48:33 [SPEAKER_01]: It's owned by Disney.
48:33 --> 48:34 [SPEAKER_01]: There's no debating that.
48:34 --> 48:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
48:35 --> 48:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
48:36 --> 48:40 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll have time is, it's Sony has the rights to it and pen shop it around.
48:40 --> 48:41 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's in big difference.
48:42 --> 48:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, we'll see.
48:44 --> 48:45 [SPEAKER_02]: We'll at the time at least.
48:46 --> 48:47 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not hoping for.
48:47 --> 48:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll play it anymore.
48:49 --> 48:49 [SPEAKER_01]: No, I know.
48:50 --> 48:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, at some points, they have to kind of pick up those story threads.
48:53 --> 48:55 [SPEAKER_01]: They tease there and some form or another.
48:56 --> 48:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Somehow Palpatine returned.
48:58 --> 49:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, I think the kind here was Darth Venomus, and I want to see it.
49:03 --> 49:04 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
49:04 --> 49:05 [SPEAKER_02]: I would like to see it, too.
49:06 --> 49:07 [SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know if we're going to get it.
49:07 --> 49:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they'll do an animated thing at some point.
49:09 --> 49:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Tills of the high republic.
49:11 --> 49:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that would be cool.
49:13 --> 49:13 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
49:15 --> 49:15 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
49:15 --> 49:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, you want to thank people?
49:19 --> 49:19 [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
49:19 --> 49:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and I also just want to say that all this week, I was against on the June Minute podcast.
49:25 --> 49:36 [SPEAKER_01]: We are talking about five minutes in the middle of June part two, specifically, where, yeah, a few different things happen, but also where we have
49:37 --> 49:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Alia and Jess, like baby Alia, they're sentient fetus and Jessica and Paul all chatting and worm riding and fun stuff like that.
49:46 --> 49:49 [SPEAKER_01]: So you can find that on the Doon Minute podcast feed.
49:50 --> 49:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I will thank the server boosters and you want to thank the Laura Masters.
49:56 --> 49:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.

50:06 --> 50:12 [SPEAKER_01]: And did you see the announcement that there's going to be new benefits that we can use server boost some?
50:12 --> 50:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really?
50:12 --> 50:15 [SPEAKER_02]: No, I haven't seen this.
50:15 --> 50:15 [SPEAKER_02]: What are the new benefits?
50:16 --> 50:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, it was something about two things about like assigning roles, but it seems like this is a new like you can level up now.
50:24 --> 50:29 [SPEAKER_01]: And then you can use any surplus boost on extra benefits.
50:30 --> 50:32 [SPEAKER_01]: All right.
50:32 --> 50:33 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm going to take a look at that.
50:33 --> 50:34 [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
