00:16 --> 00:21 [SPEAKER_02]: John, would you just get your big boy microphone out and in podcast or the F up here?
00:21 --> 00:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Come on, man.
00:22 --> 00:25 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, maybe we should identify as the late hounds this week.
00:25 --> 00:28 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're very late now.
00:28 --> 00:32 [SPEAKER_02]: You had some sounds like you've got some...
00:33 --> 00:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Met, I don't know, it's not medical drama.
00:34 --> 00:40 [SPEAKER_02]: I was gonna make a joke about your current, I don't wanna out your current situation, but you got your hands full, literally.
00:41 --> 00:51 [SPEAKER_00]: I have so much going on right now, between home and work and everything, and you were traveling, and so we've just had quite the week in trying to get everything moving.
00:51 --> 00:59 [SPEAKER_00]: So apologies, this is gonna be a little bit shorter of an episode, but it's close to the next week anyway, so you can just get our vibe check on me episode.
00:59 --> 01:03 [SPEAKER_00]: and then come back and we'll do a nice big finale episode and you'll be happy.
01:04 --> 01:10 [SPEAKER_02]: So this is episode 14 8 p.m. Email as always is ptmcethelorhounds.com.
01:10 --> 01:29 [SPEAKER_02]: There are links in the show notes to all of our other affiliate podcasts and all the various lorehounds resources come by the discord and have a chat to pick up a new server tag for your

01:33 --> 01:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Nancy has been doing Yomans work and it's updated.
01:37 --> 01:40 [SPEAKER_02]: So I think this could be cool resources for like going forward, you know.
01:41 --> 01:45 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, track a doctor's and patience and enter the mind of Nancy.
01:46 --> 01:47 [SPEAKER_02]: She loves doing it.
01:47 --> 01:50 [SPEAKER_02]: She loves working on it and we so appreciate.
01:50 --> 01:51 [SPEAKER_02]: all that she does.
01:51 --> 01:56 [SPEAKER_02]: All right, John, this is like we're like, we're flying in here, we're doing it.
01:56 --> 01:58 [SPEAKER_02]: That's fine, it's all good.
01:58 --> 02:00 [SPEAKER_02]: Hot takes for the episode.
02:00 --> 02:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Great episode.
02:01 --> 02:07 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, of course, another bullshake cliffhanger, but other than that like a little bullshit cliffhanger, right?
02:08 --> 02:11 [SPEAKER_00]: It's a cliffhanger, not a game changer, and I don't know of that.
02:11 --> 02:14 [SPEAKER_00]: We all knew that this was happening, right?
02:14 --> 02:15 [SPEAKER_00]: There were some kind of big on me.
02:15 --> 02:16 [SPEAKER_00]: This order here.
02:17 --> 02:23 [SPEAKER_02]: We knew the disorder, but I didn't predict Al Hashimi and Robbie conversation about it.
02:23 --> 02:25 [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't realize that she was going to break him in on it.
02:26 --> 02:28 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, and he dropped her last name, too, right?
02:29 --> 02:30 [SPEAKER_00]: He started using her first name.
02:30 --> 02:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
02:31 --> 02:34 [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, he's empathetic again.
02:36 --> 02:42 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I do think that we saw, I mean, look, I don't even know if I want to call a saute.
02:42 --> 02:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Let's just dive right in, basically.
02:44 --> 02:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, let's go.
02:45 --> 02:46 [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
02:46 --> 02:54 [SPEAKER_00]: Basically, like, turn the key and unlock Robbie's well of emotions and that has freed him
02:55 --> 03:00 [SPEAKER_02]: I think we could have predicted that Duke was going to be the unlocker back here, so.
03:00 --> 03:04 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, he has more than one tool in his toolbox.
03:04 --> 03:12 [SPEAKER_02]: That's right, his years of experience, years of of life experience, and Robbie really trusts him and appreciates him.
03:12 --> 03:22 [SPEAKER_00]: So, is your motorcycle repairman a like barber, but for like middle age white men going
03:22 --> 03:48 [SPEAKER_02]: I saw a Reddit post where somebody who's father had a triumph bike like that and they were like yeah that bike is bullshit it breaks down every five minutes But the it's the friends that you make along the way trying to keep them running it's the real thing so she was the the person was posting I shouldn't assume their gender was like spot on on the fact that
03:48 --> 03:56 [SPEAKER_02]: this relationships, that the writers picked this kind of motorcycle is perfect for this set up between Robbie and Duke.
03:57 --> 03:58 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's, that's fine.
03:58 --> 04:04 [SPEAKER_00]: If you want to make fixing your bike, your entire personality, I think you should do whatever you want.
04:05 --> 04:06 [SPEAKER_00]: This is America.
04:06 --> 04:08 [SPEAKER_00]: It's the fourth of July, damn it's right.
04:08 --> 04:18 [SPEAKER_02]: It's been so long since I read Zen and the art of motorcycle, I should read an AI summary of it or something.
04:18 --> 04:25 [SPEAKER_00]: When there were before AI, there was some service where they were selling that you could like read summaries of In fiction books.
04:25 --> 04:29 [SPEAKER_02]: We had in my high school days, there were you could buy cliff notes.
04:29 --> 04:32 [SPEAKER_00]: No, but this was supposed to be like for, you know, for professionals.
04:33 --> 04:34 [SPEAKER_00]: You want to be up on the latest.
04:34 --> 04:36 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, but was it blinkest?
04:36 --> 04:37 [SPEAKER_00]: Blinkest?
04:37 --> 04:37 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
04:37 --> 04:40 [SPEAKER_00]: And every time I heard about it, I was like, this sounds...
04:40 --> 04:45 [SPEAKER_00]: like the whole it's like the opposite of what you should do with a book.
04:45 --> 04:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
04:46 --> 04:57 [SPEAKER_00]: And now we're all doing that maybe not all of us but a lot of people are now doing that but in a worse way because now a human's not even reading it.
04:57 --> 04:59 [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
04:59 --> 05:01 [SPEAKER_00]: By the way how is your mini reader going?
05:02 --> 05:06 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh I'm I got a
05:06 --> 05:09 [SPEAKER_00]: I have her right when you've wanted to read your time.
05:09 --> 05:12 [SPEAKER_00]: It now it fits below the camera hump of my phone.
05:12 --> 05:13 [SPEAKER_00]: So flush.
05:14 --> 05:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Amazing.
05:14 --> 05:16 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's by the same company.
05:16 --> 05:21 [SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't heard me on second breakfast, I'm all about the tiny Chinese e-readers right now.
05:21 --> 05:24 [SPEAKER_02]: There's a, they're actually making a splash on Reddit.
05:24 --> 05:26 [SPEAKER_02]: I've seen multi-yah people using them now.
05:26 --> 05:27 [SPEAKER_00]: It's big now.
05:27 --> 05:28 [SPEAKER_00]: I started the fat really.
05:28 --> 05:29 [SPEAKER_00]: Nice, excellent.
05:29 --> 05:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody heard about it on our podcast.
05:31 --> 05:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm glad that we're here to talk about the pit and the John's reading habits.
05:35 --> 05:38 [SPEAKER_00]: Look, we are going to be off the rails tonight, I think.
05:38 --> 05:41 [SPEAKER_00]: So why don't we, what are your hot takes?
05:41 --> 05:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Why don't we get to you?
05:42 --> 05:43 [SPEAKER_00]: Get me back, David.
05:44 --> 05:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, the, it's interesting that we didn't have this, you know, major pit fest style.
05:56 --> 06:25 [SPEAKER_02]: event at the end and we're just kind of in this zany last two hours of the shift and everybody sort of brains or fried spirits or fried they just want to go home and for the show to just lean into that and what you were saying a couple of episodes ago there is no big event for
06:26 --> 06:27 [SPEAKER_02]: on holiday weekend, right?
06:27 --> 06:28 [SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
06:28 --> 06:35 [SPEAKER_02]: And they're carrying us through on that complete and whole arc of, they're just at the end of the shift.
06:35 --> 06:44 [SPEAKER_02]: They're tired and they're goofy kind of like we are on this podcast and they don't many many late night podcasts before, where you're just like, oh, man, we just got to get through it.
06:45 --> 06:48 [SPEAKER_00]: It was like a one day after another day, right?
06:48 --> 06:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just couldn't catch a break today.
06:50 --> 06:50 [UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
06:51 --> 06:53 [SPEAKER_02]: And uh, it's great.
06:54 --> 06:54 [SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
06:54 --> 07:03 [SPEAKER_02]: I love that this show stands on its ground, which is people are complex.
07:04 --> 07:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes you really love them and sometimes you're, you know, totally WTF about what they're doing or why.
07:10 --> 07:14 [SPEAKER_02]: In one minute, yeah, you're mad at them and then you're back in love with them again.
07:15 --> 07:18 [SPEAKER_02]: people get burned out on each other.
07:18 --> 07:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I think Javadi or not Javadi, Mohan, Dr. Mohan is like, she's sort of at the end of her tether with Robby, like, yeah, this is it.
07:27 --> 07:41 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's, but yet at the same time we see this the great side of Dr. Mohan and what she's really capable of, we see these complex relationships and I just love that,
07:42 --> 07:59 [SPEAKER_02]: The reddits are hilarious because there's a lot of bad fandom, people are waiting for things to drop out of the ether, oh aliens are going to show up or whatever, and it's like, no, this show is what it is.
07:59 --> 08:07 [SPEAKER_02]: These are human beings, and with a minimal amount of TV drama, and a minimal amount of TV psychology.
08:07 --> 08:08 [SPEAKER_02]: And that's what that show is.
08:08 --> 08:11 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's amazing that they're able to pull it off.
08:11 --> 08:16 [SPEAKER_00]: And we're seasoned with a bit of PSA is every now and then, but yeah, a few here.
08:16 --> 08:19 [SPEAKER_00]: After school special moments, but that's okay.
08:19 --> 08:22 [SPEAKER_02]: And they don't get too fingerwaggy, right?
08:22 --> 08:24 [SPEAKER_02]: They sort of point something out and then we move on.
08:24 --> 08:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
08:25 --> 08:33 [SPEAKER_02]: Remember the woman at the very beginning who is having a conversation with
08:34 --> 09:03 [SPEAKER_02]: about somebody she's gotten burned by the coffee thing and she's she was Russian Jew and and Perl is a Filipino Muslim and you know we're having this great sort of interfaith dialogue what was that episode two or three never again did we see that right but that was such a great moment and just the whole season is just all these just it is a shift like it really has been a
09:04 --> 09:10 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it's a it's a terrible shift that no one's going to get a tattoo about right and that's okay.
09:11 --> 09:17 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, maybe the guys who were doing the branding tattoos the ice branding tattoos might do it, but but that's not because it was a bad shift.
09:17 --> 09:18 [SPEAKER_00]: That's because they're idiots.
09:19 --> 09:19 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
09:19 --> 09:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
09:20 --> 09:20 [SPEAKER_02]: You goon in me.
09:22 --> 09:23 [SPEAKER_00]: Don't I don't know.
09:23 --> 09:26 [SPEAKER_00]: Don't say that word means don't I don't think you know what that word means.
09:27 --> 09:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
09:29 --> 09:32 [SPEAKER_00]: No, I am not gooning you for the record.
09:33 --> 09:36 [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, so I thought it was really interesting and I do totally agree.
09:36 --> 09:43 [SPEAKER_02]: I just like this bullshit cliffhanger thing is Yeah, it'll all resolve in the finale.
09:43 --> 09:47 [SPEAKER_00]: Should we get into Well first of all baby Jane Doe off
09:47 --> 09:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we have our final.
09:49 --> 09:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, not it doesn't have to be our final submission, but Benamana are good friend and regular contributor.
09:57 --> 10:01 [SPEAKER_02]: We've not heard from this season, but they were a regular with us.
10:01 --> 10:03 [SPEAKER_02]: They were almost like our
10:03 --> 10:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Chief investigative correspondent, but I'm and I would go off during pluribus would go off and do all this really I will call from listening to your podcast with Nicole.
10:12 --> 10:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of course, but I'm and I as soon as you wrote it and I I don't know medically heard and uh And then I know it's right back.
10:19 --> 10:19 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm right back there.
10:20 --> 10:22 [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think there's a one
10:22 --> 10:26 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I'm gonna send in a baby Jane Doe submission.
10:26 --> 10:31 [SPEAKER_02]: So, and it doesn't have to be the last like the contest to still open all the way through the season rep podcast.
10:31 --> 10:32 [SPEAKER_02]: So, should we listen?
10:32 --> 10:33 [SPEAKER_02]: Baby Jane Doe.
10:36 --> 10:37 [SPEAKER_02]: Hmm, it sounds like a muppet saying it.
10:39 --> 10:40 [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's good.
10:40 --> 10:42 [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a little too southern.
10:42 --> 10:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
10:43 --> 10:46 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to rank this number one, but it was a solid entry.
10:46 --> 10:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I think it was a solid entry.
10:48 --> 10:49 [SPEAKER_02]: I wish it was slowed down a little bit.
10:49 --> 10:51 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, why don't we, why don't we give it a second taste here?
10:51 --> 10:52 [SPEAKER_02]: Bye, be chainedo.
10:53 --> 10:54 [SPEAKER_02]: Just put it on loop for a second.
10:54 --> 10:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Bye, be chainedo.
10:55 --> 10:57 [SPEAKER_00]: I like you better each run.
10:57 --> 10:58 [SPEAKER_00]: I have to say, all right.
10:58 --> 10:59 [SPEAKER_00]: It's growing on me.
10:59 --> 11:00 [SPEAKER_00]: It's a little fast.
11:01 --> 11:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a little fast.
11:01 --> 11:02 [SPEAKER_00]: But it's good.
11:02 --> 11:02 [SPEAKER_00]: It's really good.
11:02 --> 11:06 [SPEAKER_00]: I did enjoy, again, I've really enjoyed Taylor Deerd in doing it.
11:08 --> 11:15 [SPEAKER_00]: We have, I forgot the, I forgot the name of the Dana actor, but she's going around doing it too on the getter views of what not, which is, it's pretty funny.
11:15 --> 11:17 [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Jane Dow, she's doing good.
11:18 --> 11:21 [SPEAKER_02]: Katherine Linass, very good NASA.
11:21 --> 11:22 [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Benamina.
11:22 --> 11:24 [SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I, I delightful entry.
11:25 --> 11:33 [SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, Benamina says interestingly, know why they said Baby Jane Doe is a theme running through the season in a band in child in the first hour.
11:33 --> 11:41 [SPEAKER_02]: I guess that is kind of how all the characters are feeling a little bit abandoned, professionally or emotionally for a variety of reasons.
11:42 --> 11:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
11:43 --> 11:45 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I, I, I'd like that a lot.
11:46 --> 11:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, everybody's everybody's in their own little corner, right?
11:50 --> 11:55 [SPEAKER_00]: Even Javadi, who's going out to social media is a low-knit room doing it.
11:55 --> 11:55 [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
11:57 --> 12:04 [SPEAKER_00]: That was the one PSA that bothered me, by the way, what's her name, McCay going up to robbing me, like, have you seen her TikToks?
12:05 --> 12:06 [SPEAKER_00]: They're actually pretty cool.
12:06 --> 12:08 [SPEAKER_00]: It was like, all right, okay, all right.
12:08 --> 12:09 [SPEAKER_00]: You're laying it on thick here.
12:10 --> 12:11 [SPEAKER_00]: Pretty funny.
12:11 --> 12:12 [SPEAKER_00]: Do you want kids?
12:12 --> 12:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Do these days is actually pretty cool.
12:14 --> 12:15 [SPEAKER_00]: You old farts.
12:15 --> 12:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Hello, fellow youth.
12:19 --> 12:24 [SPEAKER_02]: Would you like to lean into Sarah's email that she sent our chief medical correspondent?
12:24 --> 12:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh boy, Sarah, of course, volunteer to secretly videotape my reactions to descriptions of medical procedures.
12:33 --> 12:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Sit delightful.
12:33 --> 12:34 [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Sarah.
12:35 --> 12:36 [SPEAKER_00]: So you can do this.
12:36 --> 12:41 [SPEAKER_00]: I believe this last week you had a question about the kid with asthma and why innovation was a wrong choice.
12:42 --> 12:45 [SPEAKER_00]: To understand, you have to have some basic knowledge on how breathing works.
12:46 --> 12:48 [SPEAKER_00]: Think, hey, I've been doing all my life.
12:48 --> 12:50 [SPEAKER_00]: I think I quite know.
12:50 --> 12:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Think of your lung like a bunch of grapes.
12:53 --> 12:55 [SPEAKER_00]: The main stem is your broncus.
12:55 --> 12:58 [SPEAKER_00]: The big tube that splits off your trachea.
12:58 --> 13:01 [SPEAKER_00]: The smaller branches
13:02 --> 13:08 [SPEAKER_00]: that lead to the grapes, your alveoli, which are the air sacs.
13:08 --> 13:17 [SPEAKER_00]: Inhalation happens when your diaphragm pulls down like a vacuum, like a fact, in a vacuum, like causing a vacuum, causing a vacuum, like a fact.
13:17 --> 13:18 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do it.
13:18 --> 13:18 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do it.
13:18 --> 13:19 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do it here.
13:19 --> 13:23 [SPEAKER_00]: All right, powers are in your chest cavity and pulling air into your lungs.
13:23 --> 13:30 [SPEAKER_00]: Exhalation is passive and caused by the muscles relaxing and alveoli returning.
13:30 --> 13:34 [SPEAKER_00]: to their original shape, much like the elasticity of a balloon.
13:34 --> 13:35 [SPEAKER_02]: This is interesting.
13:35 --> 13:41 [SPEAKER_02]: I hadn't actually ever thought about the fact that it's the opposite, right?
13:43 --> 13:51 [SPEAKER_02]: When you're breathing in, you're creating a negative space in your chest cavity, and relaxing is what squeezes the air out, not squeezing your muscles.
13:52 --> 13:53 [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, it's interesting.
13:53 --> 13:54 [SPEAKER_02]: And they really thought about that.
13:54 --> 13:56 [SPEAKER_00]: I guess that explains the death rattles right there.
13:57 --> 13:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
13:59 --> 14:17 [SPEAKER_00]: In asthma, you have inflammation and spasm of the airway causing the bronchi to narrow and can get a decrease in the elasticity of the alveoli, so because inhalation uses active muscles to pull air in, even though the airway is narrow, you can still get air in.
14:17 --> 14:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Since exhalation is passive and relies on recoil with narrow airways, not all the air can get out and you end up with partially inflated alveoli when you take your next breath in air trapping.
14:32 --> 14:42 [SPEAKER_00]: This increases with each breath and can eventually lead to one of those alveoli
14:43 --> 14:46 [SPEAKER_00]: So why don't we intubate unless it's our last resort?
14:46 --> 14:53 [SPEAKER_00]: Because intubation does not treat the asthma, bronchiolid bronco dilators, wow, what a word.
14:53 --> 14:57 [SPEAKER_00]: That relax the muscle spasms and meds that reduce the inflammation do.
14:57 --> 15:06 [SPEAKER_00]: Number two, ventilation required after intubation uses positive pressure to force air into the lungs.
15:06 --> 15:12 [SPEAKER_00]: It does not help with exhalation and could actually make the air trapping worse and increase your risk of having Albiole pop.
15:12 --> 15:13 [SPEAKER_00]: 3.
15:13 --> 15:24 [SPEAKER_00]: Because of changes in the pressure inside the chest cavity, you can get strain on the heart that can be exacerbated by the set of drugs given during intubation cause it cardiac arrest.
15:24 --> 15:24 [SPEAKER_00]: And 4.
15:24 --> 15:34 [SPEAKER_00]: In truth, we do sometimes intubate if a patient has been struggling to breathe for a long period of time, and there muscles eventually just get too tired to work and they stop breathing all together.
15:37 --> 15:38 [SPEAKER_00]: All of that sounds very scary.
15:38 --> 15:43 [SPEAKER_00]: To sum it up, we try to give meds the meds time to work and keep the patient as common as possible.
15:43 --> 15:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Intubation is a last resort.
15:45 --> 15:49 [SPEAKER_00]: We are aware that a long popping is a possibility and look out for it.
15:50 --> 15:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Also, this week's episode, uh, Gabby in the fields, your chief medical correspondence error.
15:56 --> 15:57 [SPEAKER_02]: shout out to the nerd herd.
15:58 --> 15:59 [SPEAKER_00]: As always, very thorough.
15:59 --> 16:00 [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Sarah.
16:01 --> 16:06 [SPEAKER_00]: This one didn't bother me as much, even though it sounds very painful, but I don't know, maybe because there's no needles involved here.
16:07 --> 16:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, there's no.
16:08 --> 16:09 [SPEAKER_02]: There's no like a seed here.
16:09 --> 16:13 [SPEAKER_00]: There's, you know, there's just violent popping of your lungs.
16:14 --> 16:16 [SPEAKER_02]: So, but that's interesting.
16:16 --> 16:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that makes sense because if you're intubating and forcing air in, it's the opposite and so it can cause for the problem.
16:23 --> 16:24 [SPEAKER_02]: So thank you very much.
16:24 --> 16:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Very clear explanation.
16:25 --> 16:33 [SPEAKER_02]: And I believe, Sarah did say in our interview, which you check out in the feeds, a couple episodes ago.
16:33 --> 16:39 [SPEAKER_02]: I think she's working in a respiratory specialty unit now, or she's working in a recovery of some kind of story.
16:39 --> 16:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
16:40 --> 16:44 [SPEAKER_02]: But I think respiratory stuff is a big part of what she does.
16:44 --> 16:45 [SPEAKER_02]: So.
16:45 --> 16:50 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure, yeah, because when you're recovering, especially if you've been unconscious, you might have been intubated.
16:50 --> 16:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
16:51 --> 16:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Things like that, so that makes sense a lot.
16:53 --> 16:55 [SPEAKER_02]: I have to track a lot of that time.
16:57 --> 16:58 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
16:59 --> 17:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's eight o'clock David.
17:01 --> 17:04 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's nine o'clock in the real world, but it's eight o'clock in the pit.
17:06 --> 17:08 [SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of things are happening.
17:08 --> 17:15 [SPEAKER_00]: We have, you know, Dana is saying to Abbott, you got to go save my rabbi.
17:15 --> 17:17 [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, he does nothing.
17:19 --> 17:23 [SPEAKER_00]: And we all expect Abbott to come be an action hero, but he's not the hero.
17:23 --> 17:25 [SPEAKER_00]: The Gotham needs right now.
17:26 --> 17:27 [SPEAKER_00]: That hero is Duke.
17:28 --> 17:29 [SPEAKER_02]: it's true.
17:30 --> 17:32 [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the heart of the episode, right?
17:32 --> 17:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
17:34 --> 17:36 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I sometimes I don't want to be here anymore.
17:36 --> 17:39 [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, that's such a dark feeling.
17:40 --> 17:47 [SPEAKER_02]: I think the, yeah, I mean, the, the episode turns really on the on this and the cliffhanger, the bullshit cliffhanger.
17:47 --> 17:48 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
17:49 --> 17:51 [SPEAKER_02]: So, um,
17:52 --> 18:02 [SPEAKER_02]: And the motorcycle, like we were all season long, they've been building up, like Dana will go out there, we'll see the motorcycle in various shots.
18:02 --> 18:07 [SPEAKER_02]: And then the ambulance hits it and knocks it over and just turns out to be largely cosmetic damage.
18:08 --> 18:17 [SPEAKER_02]: But it's the catalytic element that with Duke present allows Robby to finally get to admit to this,
18:18 --> 18:25 [SPEAKER_02]: state of, uh, in this very dark depressive state, which everybody's been reading is signals, but he thinks he's covered.
18:25 --> 18:29 [SPEAKER_02]: It's he's being, uh, slime covering all that out.
18:29 --> 18:32 [SPEAKER_00]: He's like the least subtle person I've ever seen with this.
18:32 --> 18:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Like maybe I won't come back.
18:33 --> 18:35 [SPEAKER_00]: Like what else is that supposed to mean, man?
18:35 --> 18:40 [SPEAKER_00]: Like, right, uh, especially like if it were just like, I might not come back to this job.
18:40 --> 18:41 [SPEAKER_00]: That's one thing.
18:41 --> 18:42 [SPEAKER_00]: But like I might not come back to my apartment.
18:42 --> 18:43 [SPEAKER_00]: It's a whole other thing.
18:43 --> 18:44 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
18:44 --> 18:45 [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
18:45 --> 18:48 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because if you just said, you know, I'll be back.
18:49 --> 18:50 [SPEAKER_02]: I want my apartment back.
18:50 --> 18:50 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
18:50 --> 18:52 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to show up and be your boss anymore.
18:52 --> 18:57 [SPEAKER_02]: That's a pretty different thing than just saying, oh, you end up with a sweet pad.
18:57 --> 19:00 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's uh, it's, it's just very dark.
19:01 --> 19:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Were you, did it, did it work for you from a character arc standpoint for us to get here in the public sense?
19:10 --> 19:10 [SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
19:11 --> 19:11 [SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
19:12 --> 19:12 [UNKNOWN]: I mean,
19:12 --> 19:17 [SPEAKER_00]: I think we saw in season one, and especially in season two, that Robbie is addicted to the adrenaline, right?
19:17 --> 19:18 [SPEAKER_00]: He's the adrenaline junkie.
19:19 --> 19:24 [SPEAKER_00]: He wants to, that's why he wants one attending on his floor, so that he can really be just like overwhelmed.
19:24 --> 19:25 [SPEAKER_00]: He wants to be overwhelmed.
19:26 --> 19:27 [SPEAKER_00]: And he makes that clear here, right?
19:27 --> 19:32 [SPEAKER_00]: With his talk with Duke, this is the only place I can be, because it keeps me from thinking about everything.
19:33 --> 19:47 [SPEAKER_00]: Um, and also we saw a very dark part of his arc last season where, you know, he had, he lost basically a son to him, you know, son doesn't want to talk to him anymore because there's something he's blameless for, but the son is too immature to see that, right?
19:47 --> 19:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's, it's just really, what, what does he have left?
19:52 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_00]: Is his question.
19:53 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
19:53 --> 19:58 [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, the answer is everyone has something left, but it, it's sometimes hard.
19:58 --> 20:00 [SPEAKER_00]: It's sometimes really hard to see it.
20:01 --> 20:25 [SPEAKER_02]: I think the, all of the characters who thrive in this environment, I think, that's something that they're pointing to is that the action is the juice, right, the, it's, it's being
20:26 --> 20:33 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think several characters have said this, like I don't necessarily want to go home because then I have to be alone with myself.
20:36 --> 20:44 [SPEAKER_02]: And I'd rather be here where I don't have to be alone with myself that I can just keep skipping off these emotional waves and these highs.
20:45 --> 20:51 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think we're seeing with Robbie, the ultimate end of that is when you don't have enough self-care.
20:52 --> 20:58 [SPEAKER_02]: that you're at the stage where, you know, Joy-Quan is like, a piece I'm out, right?
20:58 --> 21:02 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going home to be healthy and protect myself.
21:02 --> 21:11 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, all you boomers and extras are grinding yourself down to, you know, to a tiny little nub and contemplating the worst.
21:13 --> 21:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
21:14 --> 21:21 [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, Robby's even getting the attention of the psychiatrist, Caleb.
21:22 --> 21:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, he didn't jump high from high enough like Caleb really calls him out there right like don't be that way man and I like that he calls him on his professional courtesy to yeah like I am a doctor as well and I am your colleague and I am as I'm assuming that he's a senior is him and so do me the professional courtesy.
21:46 --> 21:52 [SPEAKER_02]: like you would if, you know, the park, the shark, the orthopedic guy, or Dr. Shamsi came down, right?
21:52 --> 22:03 [SPEAKER_02]: You give them your respect and the time to interact with them, just because I work in psychology doesn't mean that you get to blow me off that way.
22:05 --> 22:06 [SPEAKER_02]: So I really appreciate that Caleb.
22:07 --> 22:08 [SPEAKER_02]: What's his full name?
22:08 --> 22:09 [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, I'll look it up.
22:10 --> 22:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the, uh, there was a joke in how I might
22:14 --> 22:34 [SPEAKER_00]: uh... a psychologist or not a psychiatrist but he goes my mom was favored my surgeon brother well he treats the body but i'd read the mind exactly that would doctor kill a beer exactly there's Caleb in the in the lineup i'm not finding him in the show guide here scanning scanning
22:34 --> 22:35 [SPEAKER_00]: We'll find him eventually.
22:36 --> 22:39 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but yeah, so we got that happening.
22:39 --> 22:42 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's not the first person who calls Jefferson.
22:42 --> 22:43 [SPEAKER_02]: Dr. John.
22:43 --> 22:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Richard.
22:44 --> 22:45 [SPEAKER_02]: He's attending.
22:45 --> 22:46 [SPEAKER_02]: He's an attending psychiatrist.
22:46 --> 22:48 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so he's he's the same levels.
22:48 --> 22:49 [SPEAKER_00]: Robby them exactly.
22:49 --> 22:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
22:51 --> 22:51 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
22:51 --> 23:00 [SPEAKER_00]: Now he, Robby's just not being professional with basically anybody this episode this season, rather even even his fellow attendings like Dr. Al Hashimi.
23:02 --> 23:29 [SPEAKER_00]: So one thing I did like that Robbie finally did and this correct me if I'm wrong with this does happen before the conversation with Duke, he does actually give Langdon a boat and he throws Langdon a boat when Langdon is treating the spinal cord injury and he Langdon's like we can get surgery here but this is an emergency and I've seen them do
23:30 --> 23:55 [SPEAKER_00]: your patient go ahead and he does it and he saves the guys limbs right he saves the guys mobility right and he goes yeah i don't remember what he said but he gave him a real out of boy which was i i i thought at least a measure of growth right this season right yeah it's interesting that in this moment that he does that because he's been nagging him the whole time
23:55 --> 23:58 [SPEAKER_02]: and then he drops that line, doctor up.
23:58 --> 24:04 [SPEAKER_02]: And you could see, laying it in the moment, pause and kind of freeze and like, oh, really?
24:04 --> 24:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, like you've been, you've been knocking me down and messing with my sense of self-confidence all-shift.
24:11 --> 24:16 [SPEAKER_02]: And now you want me to step up and do something that's like extremely dangerous.
24:16 --> 24:24 [SPEAKER_00]: And in that moment, the light showed from behind, Dr. Robbie, and there was glory on the face of Dr. Langdon.
24:24 --> 24:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly, exactly.
24:26 --> 24:43 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's the flaw of Robbie is that he's uneven and it comes out in these moments, he expects the best of you at all times,
24:44 --> 24:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but then like one straight comment and he sort of destroys you, you know, you know, like an off-comment to Javadi or, you know, somebody else and he can he just really messes with your head.
24:56 --> 24:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
24:57 --> 25:04 [SPEAKER_02]: And that's not steady stable mentorship and training and really thinking of the person holistically.
25:04 --> 25:15 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, now I've been crapping all over Robbie for the last few episodes that I will continue to until he gets his act together, but one positive thing I'll say in his favor is
25:16 --> 25:21 [SPEAKER_00]: He does not punish staff for speaking up about what he's done wrong.
25:22 --> 25:26 [SPEAKER_00]: He does not retaliate when McKay goes, dude, you kind of chill out, man.
25:26 --> 25:28 [SPEAKER_00]: Like that, that wasn't cool.
25:28 --> 25:40 [SPEAKER_00]: Like he has fostered an environment where I don't think this is this day is representative of his normal behavior and I think he's fostered an environment where feedback is encouraged and accepted.
25:42 --> 25:45 [SPEAKER_00]: So that's a general positive for Dr. Robbie, but I think we're going to have
25:46 --> 25:51 [SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's going to need to do a redemption arc in season three alongside our boy Ogilvie.
25:51 --> 25:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Are you glad that Ogilvie has gone home for the rest of the shift?
25:54 --> 25:54 [SPEAKER_00]: I am.
25:55 --> 25:55 [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's done.
25:55 --> 25:56 [SPEAKER_00]: I think we're done.
25:56 --> 25:56 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to see.
25:57 --> 25:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
25:57 --> 25:58 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm walking on sunshine over here.
26:00 --> 26:06 [SPEAKER_02]: Did he snag with a curse badge and he's going to like do something to fairies with it.
26:06 --> 26:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody at the red it's just going wild.
26:08 --> 26:09 [SPEAKER_02]: on what's going on.
26:09 --> 26:13 [SPEAKER_02]: People scrubbing the episode when when did he have it where was it?
26:13 --> 26:23 [SPEAKER_02]: My favorite was that when he bumped into Dr. Shen coming in it dropped into Shen's dunking and dunking and then he like accidentally drank it.
26:24 --> 26:26 [SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
26:26 --> 26:27 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go deep cut here.
26:27 --> 26:27 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
26:28 --> 26:29 [SPEAKER_00]: The rat that he never caught.
26:29 --> 26:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
26:31 --> 26:34 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, like pizza rat in New York right?
26:34 --> 26:35 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's revenge of the rats.
26:35 --> 26:38 [SPEAKER_00]: It's got it's got the badge That's perfect.
26:38 --> 26:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know if you go on the subreddit people people can give themselves their own flair And I saw I saw some people have the flair the third rat Awesome
26:50 --> 26:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Pretty good man.
26:51 --> 26:53 [SPEAKER_02]: The okay buddy read it.
26:53 --> 26:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Subreddit is okay buddy.
26:55 --> 26:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Whitaker subreddit has been hilarious.
26:58 --> 27:01 [SPEAKER_00]: So these okay buddy subreddit's get be the same.
27:02 --> 27:03 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad it's contained.
27:03 --> 27:06 [SPEAKER_02]: They're like, you know, like people can just pile in on that, right?
27:06 --> 27:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Rather than, but you know, it's read it.
27:08 --> 27:10 [SPEAKER_02]: So they, they do it everywhere.
27:11 --> 27:20 [SPEAKER_00]: So do you remember when when people were put sitting around that picture of the duck next to Whitaker,
27:20 --> 27:29 [SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't think I was doing for season one or I don't remember for it just they say it's his face So just Google Whitaker duck.
27:29 --> 27:29 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
27:29 --> 27:35 [SPEAKER_00]: It's the first thing that'll come up fair enough So they showed this to the actor and video taped his reaction.
27:35 --> 27:43 [SPEAKER_02]: He was dying laughing He was using seven so it's a good time Oh, yeah, there's a Sad little duck.
27:43 --> 27:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sad little duck.
27:44 --> 27:47 [SPEAKER_00]: They said that that's what a good
27:48 --> 27:49 [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, maybe he'll be Duckelberry now.
27:50 --> 27:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Duckelberry, even better.
27:52 --> 27:55 [SPEAKER_00]: Um, should we talk about Dr. Al Hashimi?
27:56 --> 27:58 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what's going on with her?
27:58 --> 28:01 [SPEAKER_00]: She was, she was not that involved with this episode.
28:01 --> 28:05 [SPEAKER_00]: I did see a very funny video where they kept going.
28:05 --> 28:09 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember if I brought this up last week, but they kept doing an impressive impression of her.
28:09 --> 28:13 [SPEAKER_00]: And it was like, his feet have started to grow back.
28:13 --> 28:14 [SPEAKER_00]: This is a good sign.
28:16 --> 28:19 [SPEAKER_00]: just everything in like monotone, calmness.
28:19 --> 28:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Right, right.
28:20 --> 28:21 [SPEAKER_00]: So good.
28:21 --> 28:29 [SPEAKER_02]: So apparently, these are absence seizures, which were formally known as petite mall seizures.
28:30 --> 28:38 [SPEAKER_02]: And their brief sudden lapses in consciousness usually five to 20 seconds characterized by the blank stare and lack of response.
28:39 --> 28:50 [SPEAKER_02]: And they're not often, I mean, like for an adult to have them, I think is an interesting thing.
28:50 --> 28:55 [SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's why she's, and she's had multiple of these.
28:55 --> 29:18 [SPEAKER_02]: uh... so i think she that's why she's bringing in robby is that she's really concerned and she i clearly says to him you know or the subtext and uh... and uh... not subtext is i've worked with you our shift i know that you actually give a shit and you care and that you're actually an excellent doctor yeah and can see things
29:19 --> 29:34 [SPEAKER_02]: from a standpoint that somebody not in an emergency department won't necessarily pick up on C. That you have a kind of an insight because of the pressurized environment of the emergency department.
29:35 --> 29:37 [SPEAKER_02]: You have to think in ways that
29:38 --> 29:46 [SPEAKER_02]: a normal doctor isn't going to, and I think that's why she's chosen him for to confide in him.
29:46 --> 29:50 [SPEAKER_00]: This was just actually under the table consult opportunity.
29:51 --> 29:51 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
29:51 --> 29:53 [SPEAKER_00]: No, but I am thinking.
29:53 --> 29:57 [SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if the way that they resolve all the tensions that season is.
29:57 --> 29:59 [SPEAKER_00]: Robby says this is probably stress induced.
29:59 --> 30:08 [SPEAKER_00]: This is the most stressful job you've worked since that good point You're your job been maybe the VA wasn't as stressful for we know it wasn't as stressful, right?
30:08 --> 30:10 [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't I wasn't it not a trauma center was right.
30:10 --> 30:14 [SPEAKER_00]: I was they had an emergency department But it wasn't it was a much cooler.
30:14 --> 30:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, it wasn't a place like where the all the cities fire department ambulances are bringing everybody in right because
30:21 --> 30:22 [SPEAKER_00]: the VA is not for that.
30:22 --> 30:23 [SPEAKER_02]: Right, exactly.
30:23 --> 30:23 [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
30:23 --> 30:26 [SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's just not a, the same kind of hospital.
30:26 --> 30:28 [SPEAKER_02]: It's at a general population service.
30:28 --> 30:28 [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
30:28 --> 30:29 [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
30:29 --> 30:32 [SPEAKER_00]: And so I wonder if he's going to be like, look, this is stress.
30:32 --> 30:36 [SPEAKER_00]: You, you got to work in a less stressful environment and this isn't it for you.
30:36 --> 30:40 [SPEAKER_00]: And she takes his advice and then he's like, well, I have no replacement.
30:41 --> 30:42 [SPEAKER_00]: I stay to stay.
30:42 --> 30:44 [SPEAKER_02]: I got a motorbike if you want to use it.
30:46 --> 30:53 [SPEAKER_00]: You know, may I make it recommend for your destressing Zen in the art of motorcycling?
30:53 --> 30:54 [SPEAKER_02]: So that's an interesting theory.
30:54 --> 31:02 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'm ready to put in the internet points down on it, but I could see something.
31:02 --> 31:10 [SPEAKER_02]: But then Robby's just locked into the cycle of his suicide ideation.
31:10 --> 31:14 [SPEAKER_00]: or he learned some lessons from Dr. Alhashini.
31:14 --> 31:18 [SPEAKER_00]: He gets a second attending and actually takes some seriously.
31:18 --> 31:19 [SPEAKER_00]: So he doesn't have to be a stress at work.
31:20 --> 31:27 [SPEAKER_00]: He calls Dr. Caleb and we see Robbie just, you know, in a goodwill hunting situation.
31:27 --> 31:28 [SPEAKER_00]: It's not your fault.
31:28 --> 31:28 [SPEAKER_00]: It's not your fault.
31:29 --> 31:33 [SPEAKER_00]: And he finally breaks down and he opens up and everyone's happy.
31:33 --> 31:42 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's going to be so magical ending as that, but I do think that we could see baby steps and go to court and see the start printing around the emergency department.
31:42 --> 31:43 [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
31:43 --> 31:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Who let this horse in the hospital?
31:46 --> 31:59 [SPEAKER_00]: No, I do think that we could see a season's long arc of Robbie healing because obviously part of the show is Robbie's internal turmoil and his darkness within that he's battling.
32:00 --> 32:02 [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think that's going to go away anytime soon.
32:02 --> 32:03 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we're going to show up to season 3 in.
32:03 --> 32:09 [SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be like, I want to therapy and now I am A. OK, everybody, let's get to work.
32:09 --> 32:10 [SPEAKER_00]: Good job, Javadi.
32:10 --> 32:11 [SPEAKER_00]: Good job, Langdon.
32:11 --> 32:12 [SPEAKER_00]: Let's move on.
32:13 --> 32:19 [SPEAKER_00]: But I do think that we'll see a doctor Robbie who steps into the break room for a minute in breath.
32:20 --> 32:21 [SPEAKER_02]: Get the chance to go to the bathroom.
32:22 --> 32:22 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
32:22 --> 32:23 [SPEAKER_02]: You're native.
32:24 --> 32:25 [SPEAKER_02]: In a reasonable amount of time.
32:26 --> 32:30 [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
32:30 --> 32:38 [SPEAKER_02]: It's, it is the case that leadership sets the tone of the environment for all of those people.
32:38 --> 32:41 [SPEAKER_02]: He holds the space for all of those people during their shifts.
32:41 --> 32:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
32:42 --> 32:49 [SPEAKER_02]: And if he's not calm, cool, and collected, then everybody else is reacting to him one way or another.
32:50 --> 33:06 [SPEAKER_02]: That's right, either getting sucked into his emotion or trying to resist the emotion, but it's still the thing that's present and what is he generating in that space to create the place where young doctors, you know, like a nebula, like a solar nebula.
33:06 --> 33:08 [SPEAKER_02]: This is where stars are born, right?
33:08 --> 33:18 [SPEAKER_02]: These are where doctors face themselves and like he tells
33:18 --> 33:19 [SPEAKER_00]: whatever he doesn't generate.
33:19 --> 33:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Al-Hashimim will generate but they are.
33:24 --> 33:27 [SPEAKER_02]: Somebody on the Reddit said, no, it's just her rebooting.
33:27 --> 33:28 [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, because it's not all high.
33:29 --> 33:31 [SPEAKER_00]: And they had little red dots in her eyes.
33:31 --> 33:32 [SPEAKER_00]: It was great.
33:32 --> 33:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Great.
33:33 --> 33:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
33:33 --> 33:34 [SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not a seizure.
33:34 --> 33:45 [SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm biased towards my stress driven seizure thing because I'm currently reading a book series where a character after having been poisoned has a seizure disorder and it keeps coming on.
33:45 --> 33:48 [SPEAKER_00]: as with stress and exhaustion.
33:48 --> 33:50 [SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know.
33:50 --> 33:57 [SPEAKER_00]: I have heard in real life, in real life, that like exhaustion and stress can affect people with epilepsy and other seizures.
33:57 --> 33:57 [SPEAKER_02]: Makes sense.
33:57 --> 34:07 [SPEAKER_00]: It would make sense to me because it has to do with the brain frequency and the way it's cycling, not that you have to have them when you're stressed and exhausted, but it makes it more likely to occur.
34:07 --> 34:30 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know that that totally makes sense and I'm not a doctor or a medical professional and I'm not going to pretend that I know anything So if anybody has more insights on seizure disorders and especially absenteesers Yeah, I think that would be helpful Well, um, I don't know that I've got much else to say We've kind of dropped all the little patients haven't we we've wrapped everything up.
34:30 --> 34:35 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it doesn't feel like Yeah, we don't have that if you go back and look at the show guide
34:35 --> 34:40 [SPEAKER_02]: And you look, there's on the patient list.
34:40 --> 34:42 [SPEAKER_02]: Let me go to the patient list here.
34:42 --> 34:46 [SPEAKER_02]: There's a second view, patients in each episode.
34:46 --> 34:50 [SPEAKER_02]: And it has, oh, I got to move 14 up.
34:51 --> 34:56 [SPEAKER_02]: It has the patients that we see, but 14.
34:56 --> 34:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Actually, 14's got a lot, actually.
34:59 --> 35:00 [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, why is this?
35:01 --> 35:03 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's episode four, not episode 14.
35:04 --> 35:08 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm messing up the order here.
35:09 --> 35:17 [SPEAKER_02]: The frequency of patients is much, much lower volume than what we had before.
35:18 --> 35:25 [SPEAKER_02]: We have ten patients in season, in episode 13, where did 14 to Nancy do 14?
35:25 --> 35:25 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, here's 14.
35:25 --> 35:26 [SPEAKER_02]: 12.
35:26 --> 35:28 [SPEAKER_02]: 12.
35:30 --> 35:32 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, I'm making a mess of the thing right now, training this real life.
35:32 --> 35:33 [SPEAKER_00]: That's all right.
35:33 --> 35:35 [SPEAKER_00]: Look, all I'm going to say is my prediction for the finale.
35:36 --> 35:39 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we'll be returns as O will be the white instead of O will be the gray.
35:39 --> 35:46 [SPEAKER_00]: He comes back down and says, you shall not pass, although that was a get off the gray.
35:46 --> 35:49 [SPEAKER_00]: OK, now I'm botching my metaphor here.
35:49 --> 35:50 [SPEAKER_00]: We're doing good tonight.
35:50 --> 35:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're doing great tonight.
35:51 --> 35:55 [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to, the, the, the, the, the patients can not make it out of this.
35:56 --> 35:57 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty sure we are.
35:58 --> 35:59 [SPEAKER_02]: You just medically dispared.
36:00 --> 36:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, medically.
36:02 --> 36:03 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what is it called.
36:04 --> 36:05 [SPEAKER_02]: Disparment?
36:05 --> 36:07 [SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, that's for lawyers.
36:07 --> 36:08 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
36:08 --> 36:08 [SPEAKER_00]: What do you call it?
36:09 --> 36:10 [SPEAKER_00]: You just licensed for Oak?
36:10 --> 36:10 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
36:11 --> 36:11 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
36:12 --> 36:12 [SPEAKER_00]: Disported.
36:12 --> 36:13 [SPEAKER_00]: Don't think you bored.
36:13 --> 36:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, bored sports.
36:14 --> 36:16 [SPEAKER_00]: But a disported sounds wrong.
36:16 --> 36:17 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
36:17 --> 36:18 [SPEAKER_00]: We gotta get off this podcast, man.
36:18 --> 36:19 [SPEAKER_02]: We do.
36:19 --> 36:20 [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, everybody.
36:20 --> 36:21 [SPEAKER_02]: It has been a long week.
36:21 --> 36:28 [SPEAKER_02]: I was out of town all last week at a conference and John's been busy with life as well.
36:28 --> 36:30 [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I was traveling a little bit too.
36:31 --> 36:32 [SPEAKER_02]: Lame excuses.
36:32 --> 36:34 [SPEAKER_02]: That's all we have for you tonight.
36:34 --> 36:35 [SPEAKER_00]: But we're gonna do better next week.
36:35 --> 36:36 [SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
36:36 --> 36:39 [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna go to therapy just like Dr. Robbie.
36:39 --> 36:41 [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna come back so we're fresh.
36:42 --> 36:43 [SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be amazing.
36:44 --> 36:47 [SPEAKER_02]: And we have one more to go.
36:47 --> 36:55 [SPEAKER_02]: It's been a long, I don't know, 15 is long, and 15 is long is a podcast for a podcasting.
36:56 --> 36:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
36:56 --> 36:59 [SPEAKER_00]: For just watching, I'm like cool for podcasting.
36:59 --> 37:00 [SPEAKER_00]: It's a commitment.
37:00 --> 37:04 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that's all right, because we're here.
37:04 --> 37:05 [SPEAKER_00]: We're having fun.
37:05 --> 37:07 [SPEAKER_00]: And you can have fun too.
37:07 --> 37:15 [SPEAKER_00]: If you go to our discord and you can join us to discuss the show, discuss all the other shows we're covering and all our friends are covering such as.
37:16 --> 37:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Radioactive Ram ones covering the boys that just started and finishing up covering invincible, I think finishing up.
37:21 --> 37:22 [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea where that season ends.
37:23 --> 37:27 [SPEAKER_02]: I've heard the boys has started off good.
37:27 --> 37:29 [SPEAKER_02]: The initial reviews are good.
37:29 --> 37:32 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think invincible is supposed to be a good season as well.
37:32 --> 37:35 [SPEAKER_02]: So go check out Radioactive Ramling.
37:35 --> 37:39 [SPEAKER_00]: You've got never run the music, of course, during their weekly music and psychology.
37:39 --> 37:41 [SPEAKER_00]: I know David's probably looking out there.
37:41 --> 37:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Red circle right now to see what they're at a great episode the other day on Fleetwood Mac.
37:46 --> 37:47 [SPEAKER_02]: It was great.
37:47 --> 37:48 [SPEAKER_00]: I remember.
37:48 --> 37:48 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
37:48 --> 37:51 [SPEAKER_02]: They have a side track week about Fleetwood Mac.
37:51 --> 37:52 [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, I'm very good.
37:54 --> 37:55 [SPEAKER_00]: And what else we got?
37:55 --> 38:02 [SPEAKER_00]: We got a properly Howard just did clue from 1985, if you're in the mood for some, uh, it's a very funny podcast.
38:02 --> 38:03 [SPEAKER_02]: They go,
38:03 --> 38:12 [SPEAKER_02]: It's almost Steve does a quasi stand up routine about stand up routines at the beginning of the podcast.
38:12 --> 38:16 [SPEAKER_02]: It was peak properly how or that's great, that's great.
38:17 --> 38:18 [SPEAKER_00]: What else we got on our network?
38:18 --> 38:24 [SPEAKER_00]: We've got, you know, Star Wars Mall, which you are much, you know, I feel like we flipped here, right?
38:24 --> 38:30 [SPEAKER_00]: I was really hot on the Star Wars stuff for a while and you were like, okay with it, but not, you know, super good with it.
38:30 --> 38:33 [SPEAKER_00]: And now you were just like, mall is my life.
38:33 --> 38:36 [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, I do not feel the pull of the darks out of the force.
38:36 --> 38:38 [SPEAKER_02]: It is cool AF man.
38:38 --> 38:40 [SPEAKER_02]: The animation is awesome.
38:40 --> 38:48 [SPEAKER_02]: I just love the characterization and it's a pretty straightforward simple plot and that's fine and they're just doing it nicely.
38:49 --> 38:50 [SPEAKER_02]: So like I'm down for it.
38:50 --> 38:50 [SPEAKER_02]: It's great.
38:50 --> 38:52 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm really happy for you.
38:52 --> 38:53 [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk about it.
38:53 --> 39:00 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking with Jean and Brian 863 on very good tomorrow night at this very time.
39:00 --> 39:02 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking forward to hearing it genuinely.
39:02 --> 39:05 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad that when when they volunteered, I was like, cool.
39:05 --> 39:06 [SPEAKER_00]: You've got to grow them.
39:07 --> 39:08 [SPEAKER_00]: You got to grow them.
39:08 --> 39:08 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm out.
39:09 --> 39:10 [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't actually watched these episodes.
39:11 --> 39:11 [SPEAKER_00]: They might be much better.
39:12 --> 39:13 [SPEAKER_00]: You could have a chance yet.
39:13 --> 39:15 [SPEAKER_00]: I will watch some.
39:15 --> 39:18 [SPEAKER_00]: I'll watch some than I'll listen to your podcast on it.
39:18 --> 39:28 [SPEAKER_00]: uh... what else we are not uh... alisha and you just did some drama is that right no that was uh... leesa and uh... oh and uh...
39:29 --> 39:38 [SPEAKER_02]: Elisha and Lisa, I had an abson seizure myself right now, maybe it was just being excuses excuse.
39:38 --> 39:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Elisha and Lisa did the drama.
39:40 --> 39:43 [SPEAKER_02]: So you did Hamlet with Elisha, that's why I got confused.
39:43 --> 39:43 [SPEAKER_02]: We did.
39:44 --> 39:44 [SPEAKER_00]: It's the same thing.
39:45 --> 39:53 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping to do a, what you're watching with Ayisha about Reson Med's season bait.
39:53 --> 39:53 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
39:54 --> 39:59 [SPEAKER_02]: Reason we did Hamlet is, or reason we were, everybody's been talking about bait
39:59 --> 40:01 [SPEAKER_02]: and the Hamlet movie is really good.
40:01 --> 40:02 [SPEAKER_02]: It's good.
40:02 --> 40:04 [SPEAKER_02]: It is an adaptation.
40:05 --> 40:06 [SPEAKER_02]: It is not an interpretation.
40:06 --> 40:07 [SPEAKER_02]: It is an adaptation.
40:08 --> 40:09 [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
40:09 --> 40:13 [SPEAKER_02]: It's not just to same play with people dressed up.
40:13 --> 40:17 [SPEAKER_02]: It's like they take the play apart and reassemble it.
40:17 --> 40:18 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's really cool.
40:18 --> 40:19 [SPEAKER_02]: It's a reimagining.
40:20 --> 40:20 [SPEAKER_02]: A reimagining.
40:21 --> 40:21 [SPEAKER_00]: That's nice.
40:21 --> 40:22 [SPEAKER_02]: Very good.
40:22 --> 40:23 [SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
40:23 --> 40:24 [SPEAKER_00]: Um, all right.
40:25 --> 40:26 [SPEAKER_00]: And what else we got?
40:26 --> 40:27 [SPEAKER_00]: We got the Daredevil boarding end.
40:27 --> 40:28 [SPEAKER_00]: It's going on.
40:28 --> 40:29 [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
40:29 --> 40:31 [SPEAKER_02]: I think they're doing some drop in coverage on that.
40:32 --> 40:35 [SPEAKER_02]: I saw that the, uh, what is it?
40:35 --> 40:37 [SPEAKER_02]: The terror is coming up.
40:37 --> 40:38 [SPEAKER_02]: That's going to be a fun thing.
40:38 --> 40:41 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to probably check in on that at some point.
40:41 --> 40:46 [SPEAKER_02]: And I think we're just kind of like holding on until the big stuff later this year, right?
40:46 --> 40:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, there's other stuff coming, and there's little things like we got, another some early in story.
40:50 --> 40:52 [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't in the can, I just got to get it out.
40:53 --> 40:55 [SPEAKER_00]: And a one piece where we're recording.
40:55 --> 40:55 [SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
40:56 --> 40:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool.
40:57 --> 40:59 [SPEAKER_00]: We're finally recording about Friday.
40:59 --> 41:00 [SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna finish out the season on that.
41:00 --> 41:05 [SPEAKER_02]: I think Spider-Noir's coming up as well, and I'm sure they'll be covering Joan and Elisa.
41:05 --> 41:06 [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be covering some of that.
41:06 --> 41:10 [SPEAKER_02]: I've been doing my house to the dragon
41:11 --> 41:12 [SPEAKER_02]: Man, season one was just hard.
41:14 --> 41:14 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
41:14 --> 41:16 [SPEAKER_02]: It was just a really yucky season.
41:16 --> 41:18 [SPEAKER_02]: Like it was, it well acted well produced.
41:18 --> 41:19 [SPEAKER_00]: It was the best of the show, though.
41:20 --> 41:20 [SPEAKER_00]: It might be.
41:20 --> 41:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
41:21 --> 41:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
41:22 --> 41:23 [SPEAKER_02]: It was just a hard show to watch.
41:25 --> 41:29 [SPEAKER_02]: It is not a pleasant storyline in how he constantly is so good.
41:29 --> 41:31 [SPEAKER_00]: And so is Millie Alcock.
41:31 --> 41:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so good.
41:31 --> 41:32 [SPEAKER_00]: And I miss them both.
41:32 --> 41:35 [SPEAKER_00]: I think the show is less for them being gone.
41:38 --> 41:40 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's going to be, it's going to be interesting to see.
41:40 --> 41:45 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, but I mean we're supposed to get some a lot more action forward to stuff happening this season.
41:45 --> 41:53 [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean that was one of my criticisms of last season was they should have just done the next big action piece and not saved it for the next season.
41:53 --> 41:54 [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
41:54 --> 41:56 [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, did you see news about a movie?
41:56 --> 41:59 [SPEAKER_02]: There's a, yeah, they're doing it and they got on the conquer movie.
41:59 --> 42:00 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
42:00 --> 42:02 [SPEAKER_00]: Like for when the first star guardians come to West Rose.
42:02 --> 42:04 [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's what it is, okay.
42:04 --> 42:06 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just thought it makes us to do it as a movie.
42:06 --> 42:08 [SPEAKER_00]: It's like a big, it's like one big event, right?
42:08 --> 42:11 [SPEAKER_00]: It's, uh, we're, hey, hey kids get in.
42:11 --> 42:13 [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to take over the world.
42:14 --> 42:16 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, apparently it's, um, moving forward.
42:17 --> 42:18 [SPEAKER_00]: In-minute sister lives, you know.
42:19 --> 42:22 [SPEAKER_02]: It's not a bravo TV show.
42:22 --> 42:22 [SPEAKER_00]: It was.
42:22 --> 42:24 [SPEAKER_00]: They all left him.
42:24 --> 42:24 [SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
42:25 --> 42:26 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it result.
42:26 --> 42:28 [SPEAKER_00]: They all left the husband.
42:28 --> 42:31 [SPEAKER_00]: And now he's single and there are no longer sister wives.
42:31 --> 42:32 [SPEAKER_02]: He never ends well on the bravo.
42:33 --> 42:38 [SPEAKER_00]: But don't forget, there's seeking sister wife, which is, I don't think it's bravo, by the way, I think it's CLC.
42:38 --> 42:38 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
42:38 --> 42:44 [SPEAKER_00]: But it's seeking sister wife, which is people trying to become this kind of,
42:44 --> 42:53 [SPEAKER_02]: Right, I would just like to apologize to all the sinners because this podcast is probably not what people, if anyone still listening, I don't know what you're doing here.
42:54 --> 42:55 [SPEAKER_00]: What the hell are you doing here?
42:55 --> 42:58 [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you should go visit the pit because...
42:58 --> 42:58 [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
42:59 --> 43:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we should think people though.
43:01 --> 43:04 [SPEAKER_00]: We should mock ourselves and whoever else is.
43:05 --> 43:09 [SPEAKER_00]: Whoever is being loyal and listening to us is who's getting the shit kicked out of him right now.
43:09 --> 43:11 [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm sorry, everybody.
43:12 --> 43:13 [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you want to do the boosters?
43:14 --> 43:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
43:14 --> 43:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
43:15 --> 43:15 [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
43:15 --> 43:16 [SPEAKER_00]: Our discord server boosters.
43:17 --> 43:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you to you Aaron K to live with the thriller.

44:30 --> 44:30 [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
44:31 --> 44:36 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just not even going to try to come up with some clever metaphor or um, I think you've already liked it.
44:36 --> 44:37 [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's Jenny by the way.
44:37 --> 44:38 [SPEAKER_00]: I just want to say that.
44:39 --> 44:39 [SPEAKER_00]: Tini.
44:39 --> 44:40 [SPEAKER_00]: It looks like Jenny.
