00:17 --> 00:20 [SPEAKER_08]: Welcome back to Comics Versus, a Lorhound's podcast.
00:20 --> 00:23 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm Alicia reporting myself safe from bird blindness.
00:25 --> 00:30 [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm Jean DC Universe co-host and a guy who knows better than to mess with Eglie on his whole turf.
00:31 --> 00:44 [SPEAKER_04]: Hi, and I'm Aaron from Radioactive Ramblings, joining today to talk body disposals, interdimensional drunk dials, and the rest of peacemaker season two episode three, a man is only as good as his bird.
00:45 --> 00:51 [SPEAKER_08]: You can listen back to check out our season one recap and break down.
00:51 --> 00:53 [SPEAKER_08]: And also we talked about the suicide squad.
00:53 --> 00:57 [SPEAKER_08]: We talked about last week's episode, of course.
00:57 --> 01:03 [SPEAKER_08]: But for now, we're just going to get into the spoilers of it all jumping right in.
01:03 --> 01:10 [SPEAKER_08]: Not only talking about episode two, we're going to be talking about any DC movies TV or comics that come up as well.
01:11 --> 01:17 [SPEAKER_08]: So first question in the DC universe for Aaron, you got access to Superman this week.
01:18 --> 01:18 [SPEAKER_08]: Did you get a chance to watch it?
01:19 --> 01:23 [SPEAKER_04]: I did and it was probably one of the best movies I've watched this year.
01:24 --> 01:26 [SPEAKER_04]: The Superman was truly awesome.
01:27 --> 01:29 [SPEAKER_04]: All of the actors were amazing.
01:29 --> 01:32 [SPEAKER_04]: The crypto, the super dog was awesome.
01:32 --> 01:35 [SPEAKER_04]: Just really fantastic superhero movie.
01:37 --> 01:38 [SPEAKER_08]: All right, all right.
01:38 --> 01:46 [SPEAKER_08]: So you're caught up on, what did you think about the Justice Gang as you saw them in Superman versus in Peace Maker episode one?
01:48 --> 01:49 [SPEAKER_04]: I'm definitely missing Mr. Terrific.
01:50 --> 01:51 [SPEAKER_04]: Ah, yes.
01:51 --> 01:53 [SPEAKER_04]: He was my favorite part of the Justice Gang.
01:53 --> 01:54 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
01:54 --> 01:54 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
01:56 --> 01:56 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
01:56 --> 02:03 [SPEAKER_04]: But Guy Gardner being in Peace Maker was definitely, I wish I had seen Superman before I saw Guy Gardner in
02:04 --> 02:10 [SPEAKER_04]: piece maker because his interactions with piece maker were a lot more funny thinking about it in retrospect.
02:11 --> 02:11 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
02:13 --> 02:17 [SPEAKER_04]: And I still feel like we don't have enough hawk girl content out of the two properties.
02:18 --> 02:20 [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like she was kind of pushed to the sidelines.
02:20 --> 02:21 [SPEAKER_04]: I want to see some more of her.
02:22 --> 02:23 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, definitely.
02:23 --> 02:31 [SPEAKER_08]: And did seeing Superman influence your opinion of Rick Flag at all or he doubling down?
02:31 --> 02:31 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
02:34 --> 02:36 [SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna double down, I think he's a bad guy.
02:36 --> 02:38 [SPEAKER_04]: I think he's definitely.
02:38 --> 02:42 [SPEAKER_04]: He's petty, he's gonna end up doing some really awful stuff.
02:42 --> 02:45 [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe involving the dimensional doors we'll see though.
02:47 --> 03:00 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, I think I feel like he was a different character in creature commandos where he was kind of a dick still, of course, but there's some like some sympatheticness about him that I'm not getting right now.
03:00 --> 03:11 [SPEAKER_08]: So it does feel at this point kind of like two different characters, but he's a real annoying dude in Superman and piecemaker, you know.
03:11 --> 03:14 [SPEAKER_05]: That's so interesting that you say that because
03:15 --> 03:20 [SPEAKER_05]: I felt more sympathy for him in this episode than I felt for him throughout.
03:20 --> 03:24 [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, because of his speech or commandos or Superman.
03:24 --> 03:32 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, precisely because we're watching him learn about the circumstances of Junior's death.
03:33 --> 03:43 [SPEAKER_05]: And that hit, for me, that hit that scene that he was in, that really gave me insight into why he's a dick in this show.
03:44 --> 03:52 [SPEAKER_05]: Right, I already knew it, but to see it, it's like, okay, confirmation that, yeah, he's reacting solely based on his emotion.
03:53 --> 03:58 [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, all right, but we've got a full psychological profile coming in.
03:58 --> 04:01 [SPEAKER_08]: So we've picked on the episode, let me ask you a show.
04:01 --> 04:05 [SPEAKER_08]: So the title of this episode is, a man is only as good as his bird.
04:06 --> 04:07 [SPEAKER_08]: Is Chris as good as eagerly?
04:08 --> 04:10 [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, Lord, they're both horrific.
04:11 --> 04:12 [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, my God.
04:13 --> 04:16 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know which one is worse, eagerly occurs.
04:20 --> 04:24 [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, man, if I see eagerly in an alley I'm running, I'm going down to the dark.
04:25 --> 04:26 [SPEAKER_05]: They get it in me.
04:26 --> 04:27 [SPEAKER_05]: My gosh.
04:28 --> 04:28 [SPEAKER_05]: They deserve each other.
04:28 --> 04:30 [SPEAKER_05]: They're perfect for each other.
04:30 --> 04:33 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, he was protecting his home.
04:34 --> 04:35 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, no doubt.
04:35 --> 04:36 [SPEAKER_05]: I respect it.
04:36 --> 04:36 [SPEAKER_05]: Don't get me wrong.
04:37 --> 04:37 [SPEAKER_05]: I get it.
04:37 --> 04:38 [SPEAKER_05]: I respect it.
04:39 --> 04:41 [SPEAKER_05]: But law at that ego boy, I tell you.
04:44 --> 04:51 [SPEAKER_08]: And what do you think about our new Tim Meadows character, Agent Flurry, and his bird blindness?
04:54 --> 04:57 [SPEAKER_05]: I who did when he said that, because I was like, what is going on?
04:57 --> 04:59 [SPEAKER_08]: He wouldn't know what bird that came from.
04:59 --> 05:00 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, exactly.
05:00 --> 05:02 [SPEAKER_05]: That's true, too.
05:02 --> 05:03 [SPEAKER_05]: But don't bump.
05:05 --> 05:13 [SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I thought he fit in seamlessly with this, you know, cast of terrible people.
05:14 --> 05:16 [SPEAKER_05]: Basically, it's what it is.
05:16 --> 05:19 [SPEAKER_05]: It's the cast of really terrible people.
05:20 --> 05:32 [SPEAKER_05]: The quirky, most of them are misfits and to metal's agent flurry slides right into that and is like perfectly at home with all of these folks.
05:33 --> 05:33 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
05:34 --> 05:37 [SPEAKER_04]: Flurry is definitely winning the worst co-worker of the year award.
05:37 --> 05:37 [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
05:42 --> 05:45 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I have to call out one thing about this bird blindness thing.
05:45 --> 05:48 [SPEAKER_08]: Obviously, it's been a hit.
05:48 --> 05:49 [SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's taken the internet by storm.
05:49 --> 05:51 [SPEAKER_08]: Everyone has bird blindness now.
05:52 --> 06:00 [SPEAKER_08]: But it is, I got the sensors to stand in for face blindness and it's funny because Tim was Tim got no, sorry.
06:01 --> 06:02 [SPEAKER_08]: James got it.
06:02 --> 06:06 [SPEAKER_08]: Just talk about it on his podcast about that.
06:06 --> 06:09 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, indeed, it is a stand in for face blindness.
06:09 --> 06:11 [SPEAKER_08]: But as he points out, people who are face blind
06:11 --> 06:14 [SPEAKER_08]: They can see the size of things.
06:14 --> 06:19 [SPEAKER_08]: Like, you know, he's saying people remember his hair or his glasses.
06:19 --> 06:23 [SPEAKER_08]: And I've apparently people remember the way someone walks or something like that.
06:23 --> 06:25 [SPEAKER_08]: So it's not a perfect stand-in for that.
06:26 --> 06:27 [SPEAKER_08]: Still funny.
06:27 --> 06:37 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't mean to poo poo the joke, but I just wanted to bring up what I thought of while watching instead was people who say, oh, I don't see color.
06:37 --> 06:38 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't see race.
06:38 --> 06:40 [SPEAKER_08]: And that this was like mocking that in a way.
06:42 --> 06:46 [SPEAKER_05]: That's not definitely I can see that I can see that part of it.
06:46 --> 06:54 [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't think of it until you just said it because I was so caught up in the ridiculousness of flurry.
06:55 --> 07:07 [SPEAKER_05]: I'm just like this is not I think Aaron just said the worst coworker of the year would absolutely like the thing that I thought of while watching him was like
07:08 --> 07:12 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if you guys ever watched the office, the US show with Dwight.
07:12 --> 07:12 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
07:13 --> 07:16 [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm just like, this guy is a Dwight.
07:17 --> 07:19 [SPEAKER_05]: But a sexist Dwight, like a Disney.
07:19 --> 07:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, Disney.
07:20 --> 07:27 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, he's all the, he's like Dwight times a million trillion worse, right?
07:28 --> 07:29 [SPEAKER_05]: Everything that Dwight was.
07:30 --> 07:40 [SPEAKER_05]: multiply it by x-factors, and this who flurry is, and I was just like, wow, because people like that actually exist in the workplace.
07:41 --> 07:51 [SPEAKER_05]: And it was just like, man, this is, it's funny, but terrible all at the same time, which is this entire show, like the show is funny, but it's terrible.
07:51 --> 07:54 [SPEAKER_08]: It's an awful person, but it's awfully entertaining.
07:55 --> 07:56 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, yes, yes.
07:57 --> 07:59 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just feel awful for economists.
07:59 --> 08:03 [SPEAKER_04]: That guy has never had a coworker who didn't make fun of him, twenty-four-seven.
08:03 --> 08:05 [SPEAKER_04]: He's just gotten stuck with the worst people ever.
08:05 --> 08:14 [SPEAKER_08]: Aaron, do you want to set up the tagline for this episode and tell us your hot takes on the episode overall?
08:15 --> 08:16 [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
08:16 --> 08:21 [SPEAKER_04]: Economos gets a new handler, flurry after failing to distract flag from peacemaker.
08:22 --> 08:27 [SPEAKER_04]: Well, Etabio deals with Kia issues piece maker handles dimensional aftermath as Argus acts.
08:29 --> 08:29 [SPEAKER_04]: All right.
08:30 --> 08:31 [SPEAKER_04]: My hot takes, all right.
08:31 --> 08:34 [SPEAKER_04]: I think Adrian, he's really got the moves this episode.
08:35 --> 08:40 [SPEAKER_04]: Both when he's in his little beer shower and when he's doing his thumbs in the pockets.
08:41 --> 08:44 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, he's got his butt dance, his butt dance.
08:44 --> 08:44 [SPEAKER_08]: It's working.
08:45 --> 08:45 [SPEAKER_08]: It's working.
08:45 --> 08:46 [SPEAKER_08]: Get my little tissue.
08:46 --> 08:47 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance, my butt dance.
08:47 --> 08:48 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:48 --> 08:48 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:48 --> 08:49 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:49 --> 08:50 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:50 --> 08:50 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:51 --> 08:51 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:51 --> 08:52 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:52 --> 08:52 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:52 --> 08:54 [SPEAKER_01]: It's my butt dance.
08:54 --> 08:55 [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, hey, man.
08:55 --> 08:55 [SPEAKER_08]: It's up.
08:55 --> 08:57 [SPEAKER_08]: From season one episode one.
08:59 --> 09:00 [SPEAKER_04]: It's so good.
09:00 --> 09:02 [SPEAKER_04]: I'm glad that they brought that one back.
09:02 --> 09:08 [SPEAKER_04]: He's such an awkward guy at those parties, but he's clearly got some charisma.
09:08 --> 09:11 [SPEAKER_04]: He's bringing everyone around him in a really awesome way.
09:14 --> 09:23 [SPEAKER_04]: I continue to be shocked by Chris's interpersonal relationships and just how all sorts of messed up they are, especially when it comes to now mixing
09:24 --> 09:34 [SPEAKER_04]: relationships in his dimension and in a different dimension, he seems to be wanting to blur the lines a little bit between the two and I'm worried for him.
09:34 --> 09:39 [SPEAKER_04]: He's going to have some repercussions from that for sure.
09:40 --> 09:49 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, not to speak for a hardcore, but also I would be insulted if you struck out with me and then went for my alter ego.
09:50 --> 09:51 [SPEAKER_04]: No, absolutely.
09:52 --> 09:56 [SPEAKER_04]: And we're finally, of course, getting that representation of bird blindness in our media.
09:57 --> 09:59 [SPEAKER_04]: That's, it's a big day for bird blindness.
10:04 --> 10:05 [SPEAKER_08]: So, Sean, what about you?
10:06 --> 10:07 [SPEAKER_08]: What did you think about the episode overall?
10:08 --> 10:14 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we could just start the pod and end the pod, just talk about Eglie and let's all go home.
10:14 --> 10:15 [SPEAKER_05]: We don't have to do anything else.
10:15 --> 10:21 [SPEAKER_05]: That quite honestly, because the bird takes the key.
10:22 --> 10:29 [SPEAKER_05]: The sequence is where Eglie and this episode were just top notch for their brutality and their hilarity.
10:29 --> 10:36 [SPEAKER_05]: So again, I'm questioning myself why am I enjoying this show of terrible people and animals.
10:38 --> 10:43 [SPEAKER_05]: But they have heart, they have heart.
10:43 --> 10:45 [SPEAKER_05]: I think vigilante is going to be problems.
10:46 --> 10:48 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm worried about that.
10:48 --> 11:05 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think vigilante is going to be problems because he is so focused on being friends with peacemaker that it's really troubling to have this obsession with this friendship that
11:05 --> 11:09 [SPEAKER_05]: you know, he wants and needs, it looks like to make happen.
11:10 --> 11:20 [SPEAKER_05]: So what is he going to do to other people who he, my deem as being, you know, a hindrance or obstacle to worried about out of bio, yeah.
11:21 --> 11:22 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah.
11:23 --> 11:24 [SPEAKER_05]: And so.
11:25 --> 11:27 [SPEAKER_08]: And I don't want them against each other.
11:27 --> 11:29 [SPEAKER_08]: I just don't want them against them.
11:31 --> 11:35 [SPEAKER_05]: I know, but I think it's heading that way.
11:35 --> 11:37 [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's heading that way.
11:37 --> 11:44 [SPEAKER_05]: So we'll see, but I just think vigilante, we have to keep our eye out on him, particularly.
11:45 --> 11:46 [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe I'm wrong.
11:46 --> 11:48 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm, I don't think you are.
11:52 --> 11:55 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I thought this was a great episode.
11:56 --> 11:58 [SPEAKER_08]: It felt like a setting up episodes.
11:58 --> 12:00 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm really excited for the next one.
12:00 --> 12:03 [SPEAKER_08]: When we're going to explore the other dimension and see what's up there.
12:03 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_08]: But it was really great, especially to see our eleven street kids back together again.
12:10 --> 12:13 [SPEAKER_08]: I love when the gang gets back together in general.
12:13 --> 12:19 [SPEAKER_08]: So yeah, I'm looking forward to more team ups this season.
12:22 --> 12:29 [SPEAKER_08]: but I'm glad that next is going to be like this was the first episode was so packed with story and it ends of course with with a body.
12:30 --> 12:33 [SPEAKER_08]: And so this was like the connector between what do we do with the body?
12:34 --> 12:35 [SPEAKER_08]: How do we find out things?
12:35 --> 12:39 [SPEAKER_08]: How do we propel Chris into this other universe?
12:40 --> 12:44 [SPEAKER_08]: And a drunk style, yeah, that tracks, I believe it.
12:45 --> 12:47 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, definitely, for sure.
12:48 --> 13:03 [SPEAKER_08]: So this episode like all episodes written by James Gunn, but this one was directed by Greg Matola, who is known for like super bad, adventure land, arrested some arrested development apps, nobody wants this episode, et cetera.
13:04 --> 13:06 [SPEAKER_08]: He also directed next week's episode.
13:06 --> 13:11 [SPEAKER_08]: So you can tell they're kind of two parts of a story together.
13:11 --> 13:13 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you can see his vision.
13:15 --> 13:20 [SPEAKER_05]: watching his other works and seeing this episode, you could definitely tell his hand in that episode.
13:20 --> 13:23 [SPEAKER_05]: The humor and the satire, much like how Gun wants to do.
13:23 --> 13:42 [SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know who influenced who here, but it was just, yeah, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a nice, it was a
13:42 --> 13:47 [SPEAKER_08]: visual style meshes very well with James Skund's writing.
13:48 --> 13:52 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, like flurry was, you know, was a character from Superbat.
13:52 --> 13:53 [SPEAKER_05]: You grown up.
13:55 --> 13:58 [SPEAKER_05]: You know, so yeah, you could tell his, his hand.
14:01 --> 14:10 [SPEAKER_08]: I almost feel bad for the actors who have to play like the quote-unquote straight characters in this show because it looks so much fun to be like a vigilante or a flurry.
14:14 --> 14:18 [SPEAKER_08]: So how long are we this week and what's the score looking like?
14:19 --> 14:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, well, are we?
14:20 --> 14:22 [SPEAKER_05]: We had forty eight minutes?
14:22 --> 14:23 [SPEAKER_05]: No, yeah.
14:24 --> 14:25 [SPEAKER_05]: It didn't seem that way though.
14:26 --> 14:27 [SPEAKER_08]: No, flew past.
14:27 --> 14:28 [SPEAKER_05]: It fell short.
14:28 --> 14:29 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
14:30 --> 14:31 [SPEAKER_05]: It really felt short.
14:31 --> 14:33 [SPEAKER_05]: It didn't seem for the eight.
14:34 --> 14:40 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think they just kind of like lingered in because when I look at the notes, you know, there's certain set pieces.
14:41 --> 14:43 [SPEAKER_08]: And I think they just kind of lingered in set pieces.
14:43 --> 14:46 [SPEAKER_08]: And it was a lot, it was a hang in the episode, which is kind of nice.
14:47 --> 14:50 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we definitely got to spend a little bit more time with the characters.
14:50 --> 14:52 [SPEAKER_04]: We weren't rushing through so many plot points.
14:52 --> 14:53 [SPEAKER_04]: Do I?
14:53 --> 14:56 [SPEAKER_04]: Definitely gives a chance to breathe after that last episode.
14:57 --> 15:04 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and it was a point one for episode one that was IMDB rating and now it's a point two.
15:04 --> 15:07 [SPEAKER_08]: So I think people are just, I don't know that this was better than the first episode.
15:07 --> 15:11 [SPEAKER_08]: I think people are just locking in, you know, more.
15:11 --> 15:17 [SPEAKER_08]: And I think we're gonna gradually see people trickle in as, well, especially as like foundation and stuff wraps up.
15:18 --> 15:23 [SPEAKER_08]: Who's just so behind because of the density of TV these days, but it's a lot of good TV.
15:23 --> 15:25 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but it shows on.
15:26 --> 15:32 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it might just be the part of the internet that I look at, but I've been seeing a lot of love for this show.
15:34 --> 15:34 [SPEAKER_08]: So far.
15:34 --> 15:35 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I've seen that as well.
15:37 --> 15:38 [SPEAKER_08]: And for this season as a whole.
15:38 --> 15:39 [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm excited.
15:40 --> 15:40 [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
15:41 --> 15:46 [SPEAKER_04]: My TikTok for you page has been just absolutely flooded with people doing this season's intro dance.
15:49 --> 15:49 [SPEAKER_08]: That's good to hear.
15:52 --> 15:56 [SPEAKER_08]: See, if we had video, we would totally do it ourselves.
16:00 --> 16:01 [SPEAKER_04]: You don't want to see me dance.
16:03 --> 16:04 [SPEAKER_08]: Then I'll not know.
16:04 --> 16:05 [SPEAKER_08]: It's like a quick break.
16:05 --> 16:07 [SPEAKER_08]: When we get back, we're going to get into the episode itself.
16:22 --> 16:35 [SPEAKER_05]: The morning after, after Chris struggles to hide the body of his auto-universe doppelganger, he answers out of bio-squestions about the door to the quantum unfolding chamber that economists snap the picture of last episode.
16:36 --> 16:39 [SPEAKER_05]: And then vigilante comes over to help him clean up the body.
16:39 --> 16:43 [SPEAKER_05]: After peacemaker sends all the naked, revelers home.
16:46 --> 16:51 [SPEAKER_08]: So I love how Chris is like, literally has an orgy behind him in his living room.
16:51 --> 16:53 [SPEAKER_08]: And he's like, that weird method is shit.
16:54 --> 16:54 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
16:54 --> 16:55 [SPEAKER_08]: It's like cult stuff.
16:57 --> 16:57 [SPEAKER_05]: Like what?
17:01 --> 17:02 [SPEAKER_05]: Look at your life, bro.
17:02 --> 17:05 [SPEAKER_05]: Look at my weird shit.
17:05 --> 17:06 [SPEAKER_05]: Look at your life.
17:07 --> 17:08 [SPEAKER_05]: Look at your living room.
17:09 --> 17:14 [SPEAKER_08]: I feel like I grew up Methodist, but I didn't realize how common it was.
17:14 --> 17:17 [SPEAKER_08]: And now I see all these pop culture references to it.
17:18 --> 17:24 [SPEAKER_08]: But I think it's like the most, from my perspective, obviously, which is very specific.
17:24 --> 17:26 [SPEAKER_08]: And like it's the most normal one because it's the one that I knew.
17:26 --> 17:29 [SPEAKER_05]: Right, right, right, they got the story that you did.
17:33 --> 17:37 [SPEAKER_08]: Um, are you worried about autobiography and key?
17:37 --> 17:40 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think they'll end this season together or part?
17:40 --> 17:40 [SPEAKER_05]: No.
17:41 --> 17:41 [SPEAKER_05]: No, they're done.
17:42 --> 17:43 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think that's it?
17:43 --> 17:44 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, done so.
17:44 --> 17:44 [SPEAKER_04]: Is it?
17:44 --> 17:44 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
17:46 --> 17:47 [SPEAKER_04]: I think that
17:48 --> 17:51 [SPEAKER_04]: their relationship, you just can't change it so much.
17:51 --> 17:56 [SPEAKER_04]: It's like he says you put yourself in danger all the time now and I can't be around for that.
17:56 --> 18:02 [SPEAKER_04]: I can't afford to be worrying about you, twenty four seven with this lifestyle that you've chosen.
18:03 --> 18:20 [SPEAKER_08]: So, I know Kies says that she wanted to go back to Gotham, but then that's my question why she's still hanging around Evergreen, Washington on the other side of the country if she wants to go back to Gotham and is saying they're broken up or time off.
18:21 --> 18:27 [SPEAKER_05]: To me, it seemed like she was struggling financially.
18:27 --> 18:31 [SPEAKER_08]: You think it's easier for her to find a job there than back in the city?
18:31 --> 18:38 [SPEAKER_05]: I think maybe, you know, trying to save up for the move, that's the thought that I had.
18:38 --> 18:50 [SPEAKER_05]: And I don't know if it's right or not, but I just felt immediately like this is someone who's struggling both emotionally financially and trying to figure out what the next steps are, right?
18:50 --> 18:54 [SPEAKER_05]: So I don't think she's staying there out of love for Adabayo personally.
18:55 --> 18:58 [SPEAKER_05]: I think she's staying there out of some sort of necessity at the moment.
19:00 --> 19:00 [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
19:01 --> 19:01 [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
19:01 --> 19:03 [SPEAKER_08]: I have a little more hope for them than.
19:04 --> 19:04 [SPEAKER_08]: Of course, yes.
19:06 --> 19:07 [SPEAKER_05]: Such an optimist.
19:09 --> 19:10 [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm on that.
19:13 --> 19:15 [SPEAKER_08]: So Kia, just a couple of fun things.
19:16 --> 19:22 [SPEAKER_08]: Kia works at Jitter's Coffee and we also saw and heard Jitter's mentioned in Superman.
19:22 --> 19:22 [SPEAKER_08]: It's like,
19:23 --> 19:31 [SPEAKER_08]: I love how the DCU, and I know this comes from the comics, has all these in universe brands that are just like, like, jitters of Starbucks.
19:31 --> 19:32 [SPEAKER_08]: It's just that world.
19:32 --> 19:33 [SPEAKER_08]: That's the way things are.
19:34 --> 19:37 [SPEAKER_08]: So it's cool to see how this is all tied together.
19:37 --> 19:38 [SPEAKER_08]: These deep world building details.
19:39 --> 19:40 [SPEAKER_08]: But it's also interesting.
19:40 --> 19:41 [SPEAKER_08]: I immediately clocks.
19:41 --> 19:43 [SPEAKER_08]: Those are different dogs this season.
19:43 --> 19:47 [SPEAKER_08]: But of course, James is going to talk about that on the podcast.
19:47 --> 19:50 [SPEAKER_08]: And he said that it's, you know, new universe, new, new dogs.
19:51 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_08]: I suppose it's difficult to get the same ones.
19:55 --> 19:56 [SPEAKER_08]: So what do you think?
19:57 --> 20:01 [SPEAKER_08]: Is there anything vigilante would not do to hang out with Chris?
20:02 --> 20:03 [SPEAKER_04]: Nothing.
20:03 --> 20:04 [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely not.
20:06 --> 20:12 [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we saw, they had a threesome last season just so that vigilante could hang out with Chris a little bit more.
20:12 --> 20:15 [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not surprised that he was offended.
20:15 --> 20:16 [SPEAKER_04]: He wasn't invited to the Orgy.
20:17 --> 20:18 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, of course he was.
20:20 --> 20:27 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, yeah, I think I've never seen, I watch a lot of a dark TV.
20:27 --> 20:33 [SPEAKER_08]: I've never seen a serial killer so happily dismembering a body before.
20:34 --> 20:41 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, yeah, you call up your homie and like I got to cut up this body dude.
20:42 --> 20:43 [SPEAKER_05]: And there's no questions.
20:43 --> 20:47 [SPEAKER_05]: It's like I'm coming over with everything that we need or the tools of the tree.
20:47 --> 20:49 [SPEAKER_08]: I got it.
20:49 --> 20:51 [SPEAKER_05]: That's that's that's love right there.
20:51 --> 20:52 [SPEAKER_05]: Right.
20:52 --> 20:54 [SPEAKER_05]: That is that is real deep love.
20:54 --> 20:57 [SPEAKER_05]: Like I will we're going to cut this body up.
20:57 --> 20:59 [SPEAKER_05]: We're going to make sure nobody ever finds it.
21:00 --> 21:05 [SPEAKER_08]: But the messed up, but can you imagine is who whoever you would do that for?
21:05 --> 21:09 [SPEAKER_08]: Can you imagine if the body you were cutting up was a copy of that person?
21:12 --> 21:18 [SPEAKER_05]: No, I cannot, I can't, but that's not his Chris, so fuck it.
21:20 --> 21:20 [SPEAKER_04]: Right?
21:21 --> 21:24 [SPEAKER_04]: He probably is excited for the opportunity to look inside his best friend.
21:25 --> 21:27 [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that, I didn't even think about that.
21:27 --> 21:28 [SPEAKER_04]: That's, you're right.
21:28 --> 21:32 [SPEAKER_08]: We've never been closer than when I had my hands in your guts.
21:34 --> 21:36 [SPEAKER_05]: So there is, I agree with Aaron.
21:36 --> 21:40 [SPEAKER_05]: There's nothing that he wouldn't do for a piece maker at this point.
21:42 --> 21:42 [SPEAKER_05]: Right now.
21:43 --> 21:43 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
21:43 --> 21:44 [SPEAKER_05]: Things can change.
21:45 --> 21:45 [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
21:46 --> 21:49 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, what do you think could make him turn on him?
21:50 --> 21:51 [SPEAKER_08]: something with his mom maybe?
21:51 --> 21:52 [SPEAKER_05]: Finding another bestie.
21:55 --> 22:07 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think we heard Amelia say this episode that he lives at home, Adrian lives at home with his mother and so I joke about her rotting Norman Bates style, which is a psycho reference.
22:08 --> 22:09 [SPEAKER_08]: What do you think?
22:09 --> 22:17 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think she is like rotting Norman Bates style or do you think she's going to be like ultra normal or like
22:18 --> 22:22 [SPEAKER_08]: Fifties, bacon cookies, style.
22:23 --> 22:23 [SPEAKER_05]: No.
22:25 --> 22:27 [SPEAKER_05]: When she said that, I said to myself, no, I don't think she is.
22:28 --> 22:30 [SPEAKER_05]: I think she might be more like penguins mom.
22:32 --> 22:33 [SPEAKER_05]: That's a good point.
22:34 --> 22:35 [SPEAKER_05]: That's where my mind went.
22:36 --> 22:37 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think she's dead.
22:37 --> 22:38 [SPEAKER_05]: I think she's like this.
22:39 --> 22:45 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I just think I have a feeling she could be like a normal wholesome mom.
22:46 --> 22:49 [SPEAKER_05]: But there's a part of me that that thinks that that would be too good.
22:50 --> 23:00 [SPEAKER_05]: Like so there's a part of me that's that's thinking that she is definitely more like penguins mom than my own wonderful mother.
23:01 --> 23:03 [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
23:03 --> 23:08 [SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, that's that's why I stand on on vigilante's mom.
23:09 --> 23:11 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if you guys see that.
23:12 --> 23:26 [SPEAKER_08]: I think he has like this sort of, you know, leave it to Beaver type of aesthetic about him, you know, just the most suburban ever that makes me wonder.
23:26 --> 23:29 [SPEAKER_08]: And also, she taught him right, Zora.
23:29 --> 23:30 [SPEAKER_08]: It is absolutely gross.
23:31 --> 23:33 [SPEAKER_08]: Wouldn't you do that wash your hands after you get to the bathroom?
23:33 --> 23:33 [SPEAKER_08]: Let him know.
23:35 --> 23:38 [SPEAKER_08]: And I feel like he gets his festidiousness.
23:38 --> 23:39 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, yeah, I could go either way.
23:40 --> 23:44 [SPEAKER_08]: It could be someone who's just like a real, uh, keep it all clean.
23:44 --> 23:49 [SPEAKER_08]: Homemaker or it could be someone who is is always criticizing.
23:50 --> 23:50 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
23:51 --> 23:51 [SPEAKER_08]: Like you said.
23:54 --> 24:04 [SPEAKER_08]: And we, I like his whole overall characterization, um, the fact that he is clearly, you know, DSM, uh, five psychopaths.
24:05 --> 24:12 [SPEAKER_08]: And yet, there's still specific other things about him like we learned for sure this episode that he is ace.
24:12 --> 24:13 [SPEAKER_08]: He's asexual.
24:13 --> 24:14 [SPEAKER_08]: He says, I'm not a pervert.
24:15 --> 24:17 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't quote unquote like sex.
24:19 --> 24:20 [SPEAKER_08]: You do it to be with his best friend.
24:22 --> 24:22 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
24:23 --> 24:26 [SPEAKER_08]: What do you think makes him different?
24:27 --> 24:29 [SPEAKER_08]: Why do you think people have taken to this character so much?
24:30 --> 24:31 [SPEAKER_08]: Why it's everybody's favorite?
24:34 --> 24:35 [SPEAKER_05]: because we're all sick.
24:38 --> 24:43 [SPEAKER_05]: I'm readily questioning myself right now.
24:43 --> 24:44 [SPEAKER_05]: Okay?
24:44 --> 24:47 [SPEAKER_05]: I'm watching this show and I'm questioning myself, why?
24:48 --> 24:54 [SPEAKER_05]: Why is vigilante one of my top three favorite characters on this show?
24:54 --> 24:55 [SPEAKER_05]: He's terrible.
24:55 --> 24:58 [SPEAKER_05]: He's a scary individual.
24:58 --> 25:02 [SPEAKER_05]: I'll just get like in real life
25:03 --> 25:07 [SPEAKER_05]: if someone were to be around me in that way.
25:07 --> 25:13 [SPEAKER_05]: Dude, I'd be like, look, fam, I'm totally okay.
25:14 --> 25:16 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't need any help, please.
25:17 --> 25:18 [SPEAKER_05]: Just please, don't kill me.
25:18 --> 25:19 [SPEAKER_05]: Just go for that.
25:20 --> 25:21 [SPEAKER_05]: And let me be over here.
25:21 --> 25:32 [SPEAKER_05]: But I'm fascinated because I think I wanna see just how closely they can mesh with each other.
25:33 --> 25:36 [SPEAKER_05]: because I think Chris is equally as terrible.
25:37 --> 25:59 [SPEAKER_05]: right, but vigilante gives off this almost, you know, childlike wholesome demeanor, right, that he's, you know, not to say that he doesn't know what he's doing, but that he doesn't with such a joy, a joy that he has for all these murders that he's committing.
26:00 --> 26:03 [SPEAKER_05]: You just want to know how can this guy keep smiling?
26:05 --> 26:10 [SPEAKER_05]: and keep doing the things that he's obviously doing what makes someone that way.
26:11 --> 26:16 [SPEAKER_05]: And I think I'm trying to figure out that, which is why I'm drawn to the character.
26:17 --> 26:18 [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
26:23 --> 26:33 [SPEAKER_04]: I would have to agree that I could never hang out with him in real life, but definitely from afar, I just keep thinking to myself, I like whatever's wrong with you.
26:36 --> 26:37 [SPEAKER_04]: He's such an entertaining guy.
26:38 --> 26:43 [SPEAKER_04]: He's always doing his silly little dances and just trying to
26:45 --> 27:05 [SPEAKER_04]: live up to what he thinks Chris's expectations of him are as a best friend and there's something so genuine about the guy that you can't help but root for him and hope that everything turns out okay for him even though he might be a murderer who has sympathy about tape he definitely
27:06 --> 27:08 [SPEAKER_04]: He's someone that you want to get in their corner.
27:09 --> 27:18 [SPEAKER_05]: What you just said, what you just said, I'm sorry, the genuineness of him, that that's, yeah, that really, that is true.
27:18 --> 27:19 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
27:19 --> 27:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
27:20 --> 27:21 [SPEAKER_05]: And I also feel like, you know,
27:22 --> 27:34 [SPEAKER_05]: I've been not a murderer, but wanting someone else's approval as a young person, as a kid, as a teenager, wanting to be friend someone who I had on a pedestal.
27:34 --> 27:35 [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
27:38 --> 27:44 [SPEAKER_05]: You, I came out of those, those traits, obviously, hope, you know, but he hasn't.
27:44 --> 27:57 [SPEAKER_05]: So he's still trying to, you know, get in with what he considers to be the cool kids, you know, sit at the cool table, be best friends with this guy who he's idolizing.
27:58 --> 28:01 [SPEAKER_05]: And I think he's probably mimicking.
28:02 --> 28:05 [SPEAKER_05]: And he's vigilante, I feel, because of a peacemaker.
28:06 --> 28:06 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
28:08 --> 28:10 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, probably.
28:11 --> 28:14 [SPEAKER_08]: And well, I suppose he has these murderous tendencies, too.
28:14 --> 28:15 [SPEAKER_08]: That's true.
28:15 --> 28:15 [SPEAKER_05]: They both do.
28:18 --> 28:29 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, I mean, it does, you know, I talked last week about my psychology professor who has made me think about this a lot and how, I mean, I think sociopathy, it's just a, it's a dimension of human experience.
28:29 --> 28:33 [SPEAKER_08]: A lot of people are and most people do not become serial killers out of it.
28:35 --> 28:43 [SPEAKER_08]: And it's just interesting to see, you know, this, this whole concept of living by a moral code.
28:44 --> 28:52 [SPEAKER_08]: to sort of prove to yourself that you can to, I don't know, cause it gives you a thrill to follow these rules you set for yourself.
28:53 --> 28:58 [SPEAKER_08]: And what if your rules are skew as are his?
28:59 --> 29:00 [SPEAKER_08]: And where does that come from?
29:00 --> 29:09 [SPEAKER_08]: Like, I love the fact that they've brought up his mother because I want to know about vigilante's childhood for sure.
29:09 --> 29:10 [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
29:13 --> 29:20 [SPEAKER_04]: I think it'll be really interesting if we get to see his brother as well because it was his brother and peacemaker who were friends initially.
29:21 --> 29:23 [SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, we're a peacemaker.
29:23 --> 29:24 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and season one.
29:25 --> 29:26 [SPEAKER_04]: Say, oh, isn't that my friend's little brother?
29:26 --> 29:27 [SPEAKER_04]: Who the hell is that guy?
29:28 --> 29:28 [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
29:29 --> 29:29 [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
29:30 --> 29:31 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, exactly.
29:31 --> 29:32 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm wondering.
29:32 --> 29:36 [SPEAKER_08]: I also want to see more of this chiphotic alien with the incinerator.
29:37 --> 29:39 [SPEAKER_08]: We get this fun interaction.
29:45 --> 29:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Who's that guy?
29:47 --> 29:51 [SPEAKER_01]: It's just some rude motherfucker who I say, I do every time, it never says I'm back.
29:53 --> 30:05 [SPEAKER_08]: What I love about this, I notice his own rewatch and you can kind of hear it in the file in the audio clip I just played, too, is John Cena breaks for just half a second.
30:06 --> 30:12 [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, they must have so much fun filming this.
30:14 --> 30:16 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, that's got to this alien's got to come back.
30:16 --> 30:18 [SPEAKER_08]: We've got to find out more about the alien, right?
30:20 --> 30:21 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
30:21 --> 30:22 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
30:23 --> 30:24 [SPEAKER_05]: We'll see.
30:24 --> 30:26 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think we're going to know much more about the alien.
30:26 --> 30:32 [SPEAKER_05]: I think they've placed this alien to be, you know, really mysterious and ambiguous.
30:33 --> 30:36 [SPEAKER_05]: And we're not going to learn much more about them.
30:36 --> 30:39 [SPEAKER_05]: Aside from him being a room of the fucker.
30:39 --> 30:41 [SPEAKER_08]: I hope they explore all the dimensions.
30:42 --> 30:44 [SPEAKER_08]: Like go full everything everywhere.
30:44 --> 30:44 [SPEAKER_05]: What can we do?
30:44 --> 30:47 [SPEAKER_05]: All the dimensions of this like there's a hundred doors.
30:48 --> 30:49 [SPEAKER_05]: They said only the hundred.
30:50 --> 30:51 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, they said a hundred.
30:52 --> 30:53 [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
30:53 --> 30:54 [SPEAKER_05]: It's a lot of doors, man.
30:55 --> 30:55 [SPEAKER_08]: That is a lot of doors.
30:56 --> 30:58 [SPEAKER_08]: That is a lot of doors.
30:59 --> 31:01 [SPEAKER_08]: They could explore at least like, I don't know, twenty of them.
31:01 --> 31:02 [SPEAKER_08]: Is that good?
31:03 --> 31:09 [SPEAKER_08]: This season, or I mean, we could have a montage and then just, you know, linger in the interesting ones.
31:10 --> 31:11 [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
31:11 --> 31:16 [SPEAKER_04]: A little doctor strange multiverse of madness falling through all the different tours.
31:16 --> 31:16 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
31:16 --> 31:17 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
31:17 --> 31:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Let's go to the universe with where the Batman exists.
31:21 --> 31:24 [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, must be one of the doors.
31:24 --> 31:28 [SPEAKER_08]: All right, Aaron, do you want to set up the new Argus crew?
31:30 --> 31:30 [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
31:31 --> 31:42 [SPEAKER_04]: In a flashback to Rick Flag Senior's first actions as acting head of Argus, we see Flag request the file on his son's death and then begin his surveillance of peacemaker, who he now knows is the killer.
31:43 --> 31:50 [SPEAKER_04]: In present day, eight months later, Agent Flurry has been sent to oversee economists as suspiciously unsuccessful surveillance project.
31:51 --> 31:55 [SPEAKER_04]: after torturing him with misogyny and lements about his apparent purred blindness.
31:56 --> 32:01 [SPEAKER_04]: Flurry tells a condom host to do nothing about Chris, and just go to their planned party that night.
32:02 --> 32:06 [SPEAKER_04]: Behind his back, Flurry puts together a new team to act, while Chris and a condom host are away.
32:08 --> 32:11 [SPEAKER_04]: Flurry did not have a very good poker face when he was on that phone call, did he?
32:15 --> 32:30 [SPEAKER_08]: So I mean, how could a columnist must know that something was going to go down, but he just was maybe that was contributing to who's clearly feeling a lot of guilt at the party, which obviously the surveillance in general.
32:30 --> 32:38 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but I wonder if he realized they were probably searching Chris's house while they were there.
32:39 --> 32:39 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
32:39 --> 32:42 [SPEAKER_04]: I really thought it was going to be Judo Master that showed up to watch over.
32:42 --> 32:43 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
32:43 --> 32:44 [SPEAKER_04]: That's what I thought too.
32:44 --> 32:45 [SPEAKER_04]: That's what I thought too.
32:45 --> 32:46 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
32:46 --> 32:47 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, still no Judo Master.
32:47 --> 32:47 [SPEAKER_08]: What the hell?
32:49 --> 32:52 [SPEAKER_08]: I guess Judo Master didn't show up for a while last season too.
32:53 --> 32:53 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
32:54 --> 32:56 [SPEAKER_08]: So, okay, I've questions about the timeline.
32:56 --> 33:04 [SPEAKER_08]: So we have established eight months ago was when Rick Flag became head of Argus.
33:04 --> 33:08 [SPEAKER_08]: And I suppose he was head of Argus in Superman.
33:08 --> 33:10 [SPEAKER_08]: That's the role he had even though they didn't say it.
33:10 --> 33:17 [SPEAKER_08]: But he definitely wasn't head of Argus in creature commandos because Amanda Waller was still giving him.
33:17 --> 33:17 [SPEAKER_08]: So.
33:20 --> 33:31 [SPEAKER_08]: I guess in creature commendo, he did not know about the cause of his son's death, but by Superman, he did know about the cause of his son's death.
33:31 --> 33:33 [SPEAKER_08]: So we're splitting our internet points.
33:34 --> 33:35 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think that's the timeline.
33:36 --> 33:36 [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
33:37 --> 33:37 [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
33:38 --> 33:41 [SPEAKER_08]: Where do we think Waller is now still in Bellevue with Task Force M?
33:42 --> 33:42 [SPEAKER_05]: Escaped.
33:44 --> 33:45 [SPEAKER_08]: Did they say that escaped?
33:46 --> 33:50 [SPEAKER_04]: No, that's what I think.
33:50 --> 33:52 [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think she can stay locked up for long.
33:52 --> 33:53 [SPEAKER_08]: Did they lock her up though?
33:53 --> 33:55 [SPEAKER_08]: I thought they just demoted her.
33:56 --> 33:57 [SPEAKER_05]: No, I thought they locked her up.
33:59 --> 34:00 [SPEAKER_05]: I thought they locked her up.
34:00 --> 34:03 [SPEAKER_05]: I thought she was locked up.
34:05 --> 34:12 [SPEAKER_08]: listeners write it in a tell us of which you're understanding is of Amanda Wallace current where about or sorry, what was it?
34:12 --> 34:13 [SPEAKER_08]: A dobs.
34:15 --> 34:16 [SPEAKER_08]: It's a bit of a condom escalder.
34:18 --> 34:23 [SPEAKER_08]: Um, John, do you blame Rick Flag for wanting to know the truth about a son's death?
34:23 --> 34:24 [SPEAKER_05]: Like absolutely not.
34:25 --> 34:26 [SPEAKER_05]: No, no.
34:27 --> 34:29 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's not that.
34:30 --> 34:31 [SPEAKER_08]: No, just the fact that like,
34:31 --> 34:34 [SPEAKER_08]: So he has had to change with the economists, economists is like, I didn't want it to be upsetting.
34:34 --> 34:37 [SPEAKER_08]: And of course, economists want to protect Chris.
34:37 --> 34:44 [SPEAKER_08]: But he says upsetting, do I look like I can't handle it and like, yeah, dude, you do not look like you're going to handle this.
34:44 --> 34:49 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, how can you handle the death of your child gracefully?
34:51 --> 34:55 [SPEAKER_05]: How could you, in the presence of the people who caused the death of your child?
34:57 --> 35:03 [SPEAKER_05]: You know, so no, I completely understood where he's coming from.
35:04 --> 35:07 [SPEAKER_05]: Like I get it, I don't blame him for doing what he's doing actually.
35:08 --> 35:10 [SPEAKER_05]: Like trying to get peace maker, I don't blame him for that.
35:11 --> 35:12 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think he's wrong.
35:13 --> 35:20 [SPEAKER_08]: for using government resources to go after a man who was given orders on a mission.
35:21 --> 35:22 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, absolutely.
35:22 --> 35:22 [SPEAKER_05]: That killed my son.
35:23 --> 35:24 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I would do the same shit.
35:25 --> 35:28 [SPEAKER_05]: And I probably wouldn't even wait to do what he's doing.
35:29 --> 35:31 [SPEAKER_05]: I would struck immediately.
35:31 --> 35:39 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I understand the impulse, but he should not be in that position then if he's going to be abusing
35:40 --> 35:43 [SPEAKER_08]: powers, you know, I don't think it's a piece of ice.
35:44 --> 35:47 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think it's a piece of powers for a person.
35:47 --> 35:47 [SPEAKER_08]: No.
35:50 --> 35:51 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, well, I guess I just don't
35:53 --> 36:00 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, of course, if you know, I've rewatched the fight between peacemaker and rick flag junior recently, because I every watch the film.
36:01 --> 36:14 [SPEAKER_08]: And he was Chris was prepared to kill him, but in the end, it was kind of a desperate moment to act of self defense, like I don't personally
36:15 --> 36:21 [SPEAKER_08]: I can't really completely blame him for what happened, especially since he was falling orders and things like that.
36:22 --> 36:23 [SPEAKER_08]: I wish it hadn't happened.
36:23 --> 36:29 [SPEAKER_08]: I was founded to get punch at the time and continue to do so and I understand why he would hate him.
36:29 --> 36:35 [SPEAKER_08]: But by the way, peacemaker gave a remarkably detailed report.
36:35 --> 36:36 [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, he did.
36:36 --> 36:37 [SPEAKER_05]: He didn't lie.
36:37 --> 36:39 [SPEAKER_05]: He tried to ship a code.
36:40 --> 36:44 [SPEAKER_05]: He said exactly everything that happened in that report.
36:45 --> 36:45 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
36:46 --> 36:47 [SPEAKER_05]: I'm still killing you.
36:48 --> 36:49 [SPEAKER_08]: Very diligent, very diligent.
36:50 --> 36:50 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
36:50 --> 36:50 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
36:50 --> 36:51 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
36:52 --> 36:52 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
36:53 --> 37:01 [SPEAKER_08]: I can't, uh, I, I think, you know, in this case, I'm not, I'm definitely not a Rick Flagside.
37:01 --> 37:02 [SPEAKER_08]: What do you, what do you think, Aaron?
37:04 --> 37:27 [SPEAKER_04]: part of me thinks that Rick Flag senior is projecting onto peacemaker that he might blame himself a little bit for the death not that's yet anything to do with the order but because he definitely is the guy who pushed his son into that career path pushed him to go into these dangerous situations and junior was probably taking on these missions so that he could impress his dad a little bit and
37:28 --> 37:34 [SPEAKER_04]: That's got to stick with Rick Flag senior throughout this whole exercise, I think.
37:37 --> 37:40 [SPEAKER_08]: And what do we think about the rest of August?
37:40 --> 37:42 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you have any thoughts yet about Sasha Bordo?
37:47 --> 37:49 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
37:49 --> 37:56 [SPEAKER_05]: I want to see if they do anything with her that's akin to our comic book character.
37:57 --> 37:57 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
37:57 --> 37:59 [SPEAKER_05]: You talked about that a little bit last week.
37:59 --> 38:01 [SPEAKER_05]: So how does that play?
38:01 --> 38:06 [SPEAKER_05]: Does she become like a oh Mac or not?
38:08 --> 38:11 [SPEAKER_05]: So I'm interested to see what it goes with with Sasha Bordeaux.
38:12 --> 38:15 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so far she's such like the straight character.
38:15 --> 38:15 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
38:15 --> 38:17 [SPEAKER_08]: I need to learn more about her.
38:17 --> 38:19 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm just like, you know, she seems competent.
38:19 --> 38:20 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
38:20 --> 38:21 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
38:22 --> 38:29 [SPEAKER_04]: Got a good little insight into her personality when she reprimanded Flurry for adding the with Belle's on comment.
38:30 --> 38:30 [UNKNOWN]: Right.
38:32 --> 38:38 [SPEAKER_05]: And she was against and she was, you know, questioning flag on this, you know,
38:40 --> 38:42 [SPEAKER_05]: surveilling of piecemaker because she views him as a hero.
38:43 --> 38:43 [SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm.
38:44 --> 38:44 [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
38:45 --> 38:46 [SPEAKER_05]: She's more views him.
38:47 --> 38:51 [SPEAKER_05]: So it's not as if people don't see what piecemaker has done.
38:51 --> 38:52 [SPEAKER_06]: Mm-hmm.
38:52 --> 38:53 [SPEAKER_05]: Right.
38:54 --> 39:01 [SPEAKER_05]: But again, just for me, for flag, they shouldn't put him in this position, like you said.
39:02 --> 39:05 [SPEAKER_08]: But he should, the person he should be going up, there is a mando waller.
39:06 --> 39:08 [SPEAKER_05]: She's a mando waller than killer son.
39:09 --> 39:15 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, she didn't drive that being drive that piece of metal into his son's heart.
39:16 --> 39:27 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, the reason why they were in that fight where Chris did that in tough defense again is because she commanded piece maker to deal with him because he was
39:29 --> 39:31 [SPEAKER_08]: And now it's killed the entire island of people.
39:32 --> 39:34 [SPEAKER_05]: A lot of soldiers do a lot of bad things on command.
39:35 --> 39:38 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, yeah, Chris did a bad thing on command.
39:38 --> 39:48 [SPEAKER_08]: And the notable thing is the entire rest of the group was was like, no, let's not kill the entire corto multi's population, whatever.
39:48 --> 39:49 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
39:50 --> 39:51 [SPEAKER_08]: So
39:53 --> 40:00 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I guess the ultimate punishment for a kind of most being laxed his job, which I don't know why they would put him.
40:01 --> 40:05 [SPEAKER_08]: They said because, do you buy this, Aaron, that it's a loyalty test?
40:06 --> 40:07 [SPEAKER_08]: I guess he failed, if so.
40:09 --> 40:09 [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
40:10 --> 40:16 [SPEAKER_04]: The thing that I didn't buy about it if it was a loyalty test is him taking pictures of the dimensional door on his phone.
40:16 --> 40:18 [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think that's a secure device.
40:18 --> 40:18 [SPEAKER_04]: I think
40:19 --> 40:22 [SPEAKER_04]: If they're watching him, they're probably watching his personal devices as well.
40:24 --> 40:35 [SPEAKER_04]: But no, I just think that they decided to put him there and Rick Flagg seen your things that he has complete control over Argus.
40:35 --> 40:36 [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think it was a loyalty test.
40:37 --> 40:39 [SPEAKER_04]: I think he just has a lot of hubris.
40:41 --> 40:52 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, because I also wondered why economists, like, they didn't bug, for instance, out of bio and Chris, were able to have this whole conversation sitting on the stoop.
40:52 --> 40:55 [SPEAKER_08]: And Flurry was there watching, just like, what are they saying?
40:55 --> 40:56 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
40:56 --> 40:57 [SPEAKER_08]: I just, like, why would it not be bugs?
40:57 --> 41:01 [SPEAKER_08]: Why would buy that economists would be like, oh, I didn't think to do that.
41:01 --> 41:03 [SPEAKER_08]: But why is nobody calling a mad on the on-name this?
41:04 --> 41:05 [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
41:06 --> 41:12 [SPEAKER_08]: And out of bio just flat out, tells Chris he's being monitored by Rick Flag Senior and that he knows about the killing of his son.
41:12 --> 41:15 [SPEAKER_08]: And I thought this was interesting.
41:15 --> 41:16 [SPEAKER_08]: I noticed this on the second watch.
41:17 --> 41:18 [SPEAKER_08]: He says, who told you all this?
41:18 --> 41:20 [SPEAKER_08]: And she says, friend inside.
41:20 --> 41:24 [SPEAKER_08]: And he says, I'm just going to pretend I don't know who this is.
41:24 --> 41:30 [SPEAKER_08]: So I guess that means he understands that it's economists.
41:31 --> 41:32 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's how I took it.
41:33 --> 41:34 [SPEAKER_05]: That's how I took it.
41:35 --> 41:35 [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
41:36 --> 41:45 [SPEAKER_08]: What do you think about what she says that he should just give up the portal because they're going to treat it like it's a nuclear weapon in his house and send him back to jail.
41:47 --> 41:47 [SPEAKER_08]: She's right.
41:48 --> 41:48 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
41:49 --> 41:50 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, they will treat him like that.
41:50 --> 41:53 [SPEAKER_08]: But does that mean he should hand it over to the government?
41:54 --> 41:54 [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely not.
41:56 --> 41:57 [SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely.
41:57 --> 41:58 [SPEAKER_04]: Just right on his own.
41:58 --> 42:00 [SPEAKER_04]: I think the portal is bad for him and his
42:01 --> 42:06 [SPEAKER_04]: mental health at this point, but turning it over to Rick Flag senior is not the solution here.
42:06 --> 42:09 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, given it to Argus period, it would not.
42:10 --> 42:11 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, no, no.
42:12 --> 42:16 [SPEAKER_08]: I would have a hard time restoring it myself to be honest, but yeah.
42:17 --> 42:19 [SPEAKER_05]: I think you have to.
42:19 --> 42:19 [SPEAKER_05]: I think he has to.
42:20 --> 42:20 [SPEAKER_05]: I agree.
42:21 --> 42:27 [SPEAKER_05]: It's not goofy as mental health and it's just not like this is this is the final vestige of what his father was.
42:27 --> 42:30 [SPEAKER_05]: It's like, you know,
42:31 --> 42:34 [SPEAKER_05]: And maybe that's why he's holding on to it in the way that he has.
42:34 --> 42:44 [SPEAKER_05]: Before he found the port of the alternate universe way, you know, he seemingly his alter himself has a happy life.
42:44 --> 42:52 [SPEAKER_05]: But maybe he was holding on to that because, you know, he really did kill his father, but this was the last vestiges of who his father was.
42:53 --> 42:53 [SPEAKER_05]: Right.
42:54 --> 42:57 [SPEAKER_05]: And maybe he has to let it go in order to let go of all that trauma.
43:00 --> 43:00 [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe.
43:00 --> 43:03 [SPEAKER_05]: You make a good point, but interdimensional portal.
43:07 --> 43:12 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I guess he can pull it out of the wall and take it elsewhere.
43:13 --> 43:16 [SPEAKER_08]: If they go in the run, I was thinking about Aaron, that was your prediction, right?
43:16 --> 43:18 [SPEAKER_08]: That they're all going to go in the run this season.
43:19 --> 43:19 [SPEAKER_04]: I think so.
43:19 --> 43:22 [SPEAKER_04]: I think economists is on the verge at this point.
43:22 --> 43:26 [SPEAKER_04]: I still don't know how we got approval to go to that party with Chris.
43:27 --> 43:29 [SPEAKER_04]: That's my big question.
43:29 --> 43:33 [SPEAKER_04]: Did he have to run that past the August higher-ups in order to even do that?
43:33 --> 43:34 [SPEAKER_04]: Because they seem to know about it.
43:38 --> 43:46 [SPEAKER_08]: Thought, do you think that the others might end up following Chris and replacing themselves in the other universe?
43:47 --> 43:48 [SPEAKER_01]: No.
43:49 --> 43:49 [SPEAKER_06]: No.
43:52 --> 43:53 [SPEAKER_08]: No, okay.
43:54 --> 43:55 [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think very.
43:56 --> 43:56 [SPEAKER_04]: Sorry, good.
43:57 --> 44:02 [SPEAKER_05]: No, yeah, they'll follow him to the other universe, but they're not going there to replace themselves.
44:04 --> 44:10 [SPEAKER_05]: I think out of bio might have if she sees a happy out of bio and kill you.
44:11 --> 44:13 [SPEAKER_05]: You know, that might cause some
44:14 --> 44:16 [SPEAKER_05]: some introspection, all right?
44:17 --> 44:24 [SPEAKER_05]: What if he animals is a badass in that universe, like a nice belt, jujitsu master, or some shit, you know?
44:24 --> 44:33 [SPEAKER_05]: There'll be interesting parallels to play with, but I don't think they would want to replace themselves, no.
44:34 --> 44:42 [SPEAKER_08]: I can't stop thinking about, and it's because they brought it up in the episodes, but what is vigilante's also ego going to be like,
44:47 --> 44:50 [SPEAKER_08]: It could be a totally different type of person.
44:51 --> 44:56 [SPEAKER_04]: I'd like to imagine he's still a bus boy in the other universe, which is no super hero.
45:01 --> 45:05 [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe he got promoted instead of what was his name, Dan, Kevin, Keith, whatever.
45:05 --> 45:09 [SPEAKER_08]: Anyway.
45:09 --> 45:17 [SPEAKER_08]: So would you guys think about the new team that Flurry lined up of agents and who has the best nickname?
45:19 --> 45:20 [SPEAKER_05]: What do you think, Harry?
45:20 --> 45:21 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think about this.
45:22 --> 45:22 [SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
45:23 --> 45:30 [SPEAKER_04]: I think Agent Klein, just by sheer numbers game, had the best nickname with Pony Boy.
45:30 --> 45:35 [SPEAKER_04]: He got a few during this episode, but no, I enjoyed his nicknames a lot.
45:35 --> 45:44 [SPEAKER_04]: The other ones were just blatantly offensive for the sake of being offensive from Flurry, but he at least put in a little creativity with Klein's.
45:45 --> 46:01 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so we had Agent Tillerson was in Sino Man, Agent Angler was Titis, Agent Vega was Mexico and then Agent Klein was Pony Boy, but he complained, so he was demoted to barely legal, but he complained, so he was demoted to QP doll.
46:02 --> 46:06 [SPEAKER_08]: Aaron, do you know what a QP doll is?
46:06 --> 46:08 [SPEAKER_08]: Is that like two old?
46:09 --> 46:14 [SPEAKER_04]: I sort of have a vague idea in my head, but it's a very abstract thing.
46:14 --> 46:20 [SPEAKER_04]: I've heard the term before, and I'm sure that if I was shown a picture, I would be like, oh, okay, that's what that is.
46:20 --> 46:26 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, oh, there's a link in this, you want to see, but he does look like a QP doll.
46:26 --> 46:29 [SPEAKER_08]: And he also, I ended up because of the pony boy nickname.
46:29 --> 46:44 [SPEAKER_08]: I ended up watching the outsideers for the first time in, I don't know, at least a decade, because pony boy is the name of the main character in, you know, Francis Ford Copa as the outsideers, I think, from in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in
46:45 --> 46:53 [SPEAKER_08]: And he's, yeah, a young guy who spoilers for a forty-year-old movie goes on the run and dies his hair blonde.
46:54 --> 46:58 [SPEAKER_08]: So the nickname weren't wrong.
46:58 --> 47:00 [SPEAKER_08]: He was just the most inventive of the blonde guy go figure.
47:01 --> 47:02 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, go figure.
47:02 --> 47:06 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
47:06 --> 47:10 [SPEAKER_08]: He's by the way played by Brandon Stanley, who played Leap Frog in She-Hulk.
47:11 --> 47:12 [SPEAKER_04]: So I didn't realize that.
47:12 --> 47:13 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
47:14 --> 47:14 [SPEAKER_04]: Didn't recognize him at all.
47:15 --> 47:17 [SPEAKER_08]: He didn't see much of Lee Frog's face, I guess.
47:19 --> 47:25 [SPEAKER_08]: But it seems like this is the character who is mentioned the most in casting discussions before the season.
47:25 --> 47:29 [SPEAKER_08]: It's also the other one we saw walk away from the eagerly fight.
47:29 --> 47:30 [SPEAKER_08]: We'll talk about it in a bit.
47:31 --> 47:33 [SPEAKER_08]: So I'm guessing maybe that's the most important.
47:35 --> 47:37 [SPEAKER_08]: But shout out by the way to the nickname he gave.
47:37 --> 47:39 [SPEAKER_08]: I actually like his nickname for a kind of most ginger cool.
47:42 --> 47:44 [SPEAKER_08]: I think you're kind of a secret that likes it too.
47:45 --> 47:46 [SPEAKER_08]: You think so?
47:48 --> 47:49 [SPEAKER_08]: It's not a bad nickname.
47:50 --> 47:51 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it's not insulting, you know?
47:51 --> 47:52 [SPEAKER_08]: It's not titties.
47:57 --> 47:59 [SPEAKER_05]: I get sick right on that accord.
48:01 --> 48:05 [SPEAKER_08]: That's the bar.
48:05 --> 48:07 [SPEAKER_08]: That's the bar.
48:07 --> 48:08 [SPEAKER_08]: It's moving up in the world.
48:10 --> 48:12 [SPEAKER_08]: Any last thoughts in the new team before we take another break?
48:13 --> 48:15 [SPEAKER_05]: Nah, we hardly knew yet.
48:17 --> 48:22 [SPEAKER_08]: I think we'll probably see some more of them, but probably most of Pony Boy barely legal QP doll.
48:24 --> 48:26 [SPEAKER_08]: And on that note, see ya in a sec.
48:40 --> 48:44 [SPEAKER_08]: All right, we are back to talk about the eleven street roof top kids.
48:44 --> 48:49 [SPEAKER_08]: Um, so basically they all meet on hardcore's rooftop for drinks.
48:49 --> 48:57 [SPEAKER_08]: Supposedly to welcome a economist back from his work trip as the rest don't realize he never went anywhere and has been surveilling Chris.
48:58 --> 49:02 [SPEAKER_08]: They clash and bond in their first group hang since e-commerce caught in quote left.
49:04 --> 49:10 [SPEAKER_08]: So, Jean-La-Harkour check-in, how are you feeling about Harkour after this episode?
49:12 --> 49:18 [SPEAKER_05]: Gosh, I mean, you know my propensity to have people kick rocks.
49:19 --> 49:21 [SPEAKER_05]: You know how to kick rocks.
49:21 --> 49:30 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's just, I have no time for people who are this way quite honestly.
49:31 --> 49:34 [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I don't feel sympathy.
49:34 --> 49:35 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't feel empathy.
49:36 --> 49:47 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't feel anything, but, you know, you are a grown person, please, who seemed the world, who seemed so many fucked up things.
49:49 --> 49:55 [SPEAKER_05]: And she has a level of understanding that I don't think Chris has and I don't think vigilante has.
49:57 --> 49:58 [SPEAKER_05]: Right, emotionally.
49:59 --> 50:05 [SPEAKER_05]: intellectually and for her to behave the way that she behaves is just, you know, maddening.
50:06 --> 50:20 [SPEAKER_08]: I actually think that Chris has shown a huge amount of growth and even this whole reeling in a situation we got on the rooftop where he pretends to reel her in in this happens.
50:20 --> 50:22 [SPEAKER_01]: I pulled you over here with my fishing line.
50:23 --> 50:24 [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, I saw that.
50:25 --> 50:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe think it's disrespectful.
50:27 --> 50:27 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
50:28 --> 50:30 [SPEAKER_08]: He could have torn a hole in my shirt.
50:30 --> 50:30 [SPEAKER_08]: It's not cool.
50:31 --> 50:36 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, he's kind of almost like he's like thinking about his actions now.
50:36 --> 50:43 [SPEAKER_08]: He's like, I don't know, is that like a disrespectful thing to do, which not really, you know, and she makes a joke about it in a cute way, but I think he's grown.
50:44 --> 50:48 [SPEAKER_05]: And up to this point, up to this point, she's not thinking about her actions.
50:49 --> 50:49 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
50:51 --> 50:58 [SPEAKER_05]: So you're right, and that Chris is actively trying to change and grow where she has not.
51:00 --> 51:01 [SPEAKER_05]: She has not.
51:01 --> 51:04 [SPEAKER_05]: And I think she's gotten worse up to this point.
51:05 --> 51:12 [SPEAKER_05]: Can't say for the future episodes of this season, but right now she's just a terrible human being and who's not looking to get better.
51:14 --> 51:16 [SPEAKER_05]: And I've no time for people that of that.
51:17 --> 51:21 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm, it's interesting she goes to the soup to the drug store.
51:22 --> 51:29 [SPEAKER_08]: She doesn't really try to hide what's going on, but then you see when she's going to meet her friends.
51:29 --> 51:30 [SPEAKER_08]: That's when she ashamed.
51:30 --> 51:31 [SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely.
51:31 --> 51:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
51:31 --> 51:35 [SPEAKER_08]: Hiding the bruising and out of bio, of course, sees through it.
51:36 --> 51:39 [SPEAKER_08]: But Erin, what did you think about
51:40 --> 51:48 [SPEAKER_08]: I'd like, did you feel for her in the drugstore when the woman kept trying to talk to her about which she assumed was in abusive husband and she snapped at her?
51:48 --> 51:51 [SPEAKER_04]: I felt bad for both people in the scenario.
51:51 --> 52:03 [SPEAKER_04]: I could tell the woman was just trying to do the right thing and reach out and that can be an important thing, but Harcourt was definitely not in the mood and blast out, so not great.
52:04 --> 52:05 [SPEAKER_08]: I felt bad for Beger.
52:06 --> 52:07 [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
52:08 --> 52:09 [SPEAKER_04]: He just was catch and strays.
52:09 --> 52:10 [SPEAKER_04]: He didn't do anything.
52:13 --> 52:18 [SPEAKER_04]: But hardcore this season, I think that something has to be the catalyst for her growth.
52:20 --> 52:25 [SPEAKER_04]: I'm wondering if it's going to involve her meeting this alternate universe version of herself.
52:26 --> 52:33 [SPEAKER_04]: And the easy route there might be her finding a version of herself that's happier and is doing better than her.
52:34 --> 52:42 [SPEAKER_04]: But I think it would be more interesting if she goes to this other universe and finds an even more messed up on happy version of herself.
52:42 --> 52:46 [SPEAKER_04]: Because I think this universe is just this alternate universe.
52:46 --> 52:49 [SPEAKER_04]: We're going to learn it's just a lot worse than our own.
52:50 --> 52:53 [SPEAKER_08]: Mia, yeah, I think she'll it'll look the same way.
52:53 --> 53:01 [SPEAKER_08]: It looked a crazy first where she'll be like, oh, this other version has her shit together more and then she'll realize she's actually a terrible person.
53:02 --> 53:02 [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
53:02 --> 53:02 [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
53:03 --> 53:03 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
53:04 --> 53:06 [SPEAKER_08]: Um, but she
53:07 --> 53:21 [SPEAKER_08]: I think Erin, I think you were talking about this last week about that she and Chris are kind of mirrors and understand each other in ways that the rest of the group cannot.
53:22 --> 53:30 [SPEAKER_08]: And we kind of got the feeling this week that he is seeing her too clearly for her own comfort, and they had this exchange.
53:30 --> 53:33 [SPEAKER_01]: He's been so upset every since task force that I suspended.
53:33 --> 53:35 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm worried about you.
53:36 --> 53:36 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm worried about me.
53:37 --> 53:37 [SPEAKER_02]: What?
53:39 --> 53:41 [SPEAKER_02]: You both know that's what you'd like.
53:42 --> 53:49 [SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, you'd like me to be some sort of damaged broken bird, because, you know, water seeks its own level, all that.
53:50 --> 53:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
53:51 --> 53:53 [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not as fucked up as you cursed.
53:53 --> 53:54 [SPEAKER_01]: I never said you were.
53:54 --> 53:57 [SPEAKER_02]: I never thought this.
53:59 --> 54:02 [SPEAKER_08]: Water seeks its own level, was outch, outch.
54:03 --> 54:04 [SPEAKER_08]: It's a water bird.
54:08 --> 54:11 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that was for me was the roughest thing overall.
54:11 --> 54:14 [SPEAKER_08]: I think to watch this episode even more than eagerly ripping out an eye.
54:15 --> 54:18 [SPEAKER_08]: It's a sea of pushing Chris away like that.
54:20 --> 54:24 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he's just trying to connect on a level that she's not ready for yet.
54:24 --> 54:26 [SPEAKER_04]: And maybe she'll never be ready for that.
54:26 --> 54:27 [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
54:27 --> 54:27 [SPEAKER_04]: Right.
54:28 --> 54:28 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
54:29 --> 54:44 [SPEAKER_08]: I do love that this show, you know, it has one scene and has as I was just alluding a bird pulling out someone's eye, but then it has and another scene in this deeply tender moments with people who the broken people, what they're actually
54:45 --> 54:49 [SPEAKER_08]: They're broken in the ways that we are all broken.
54:49 --> 55:01 [SPEAKER_08]: You know, they just, um, because they found this found family and people like Adabayo who have a shoulder and an ear, um, they're able to talk about it more.
55:01 --> 55:10 [SPEAKER_08]: So it was really, at someone who's suffered from an anxiety disorder, since I was a child, is really interesting to hear a condomose, for example, talk about his experience.
55:12 --> 55:12 [SPEAKER_00]: What you going to do?
55:13 --> 55:18 [SPEAKER_00]: He's just going, I don't know, just sit around and be scared your life.
55:19 --> 55:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I've had crippling anxiety since I was a kid.
55:23 --> 55:25 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I'm going to change that much now.
55:26 --> 55:27 [SPEAKER_08]: Shit.
55:29 --> 55:34 [SPEAKER_08]: I like that, uh, out of bio just like takes that in and she's like, do that sucks.
55:34 --> 55:40 [SPEAKER_08]: Like sometimes it's the hardest thing for someone listening to do and she just like, what would she do?
55:40 --> 55:43 [SPEAKER_08]: She like went to hug him or crawl in his lap or something.
55:45 --> 55:46 [SPEAKER_08]: She's the one who keeps them all together.
55:47 --> 55:48 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was a good interaction.
55:49 --> 55:51 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think she's the glue.
55:54 --> 55:56 [SPEAKER_08]: So we had vigilante doing his butt dance.
55:57 --> 56:12 [SPEAKER_08]: How do we think so after well Chris and hardcore having that whole conversation where she's pushing him away, we zoom back out and we see vigilante dancing in his underwear with out of bio and a kind of most pouring beer on him.
56:13 --> 56:18 [SPEAKER_08]: What do you think led what secrets of events led from butt dance to beer shower?
56:19 --> 56:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't know.
56:20 --> 56:23 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, explain that.
56:24 --> 56:35 [SPEAKER_05]: Until I see it, there's no way I can think of what led to this moment, what is only one person in the underwear and there's being poured over that set person.
56:37 --> 56:39 [SPEAKER_05]: I cannot imagine personally.
56:40 --> 56:46 [SPEAKER_05]: how they got to point A to point Z so quickly.
56:46 --> 57:00 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what kind of drugs, like dummies they took, something mussel of what was popped in the beer has to be some other, or is this vigilante just that, right, without the drugs?
57:01 --> 57:08 [SPEAKER_08]: I feel like vigilante asked for it to like, this is something vigilante's like, you know, it'll be funny and out of bio and economists are drunk enough to go along with it.
57:10 --> 57:10 [SPEAKER_05]: That could be.
57:10 --> 57:11 [SPEAKER_05]: That could be.
57:12 --> 57:14 [SPEAKER_08]: It makes them feel classy.
57:16 --> 57:20 [SPEAKER_04]: I just kept thinking about all the broken glass and wondering if it's dancing on that.
57:20 --> 57:21 [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no.
57:21 --> 57:22 [SPEAKER_04]: That's great.
57:23 --> 57:23 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
57:23 --> 57:24 [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, man.
57:24 --> 57:26 [SPEAKER_08]: When he kept throwing the beers at economists.
57:30 --> 57:36 [SPEAKER_08]: So which of these characters do you most look forward to seeing their alternate universe version?
57:37 --> 57:38 [SPEAKER_06]: Cool.
57:38 --> 57:40 [SPEAKER_08]: And do you think any of them are for it?
57:40 --> 57:43 [SPEAKER_08]: No, I'm sure other than hardcore.
57:44 --> 57:47 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think any of them are friends with that Chris?
57:50 --> 57:51 [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so.
57:51 --> 57:56 [SPEAKER_04]: I think that aside from hardcore, it's a pretty isolated universe.
57:56 --> 58:01 [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think economists is going to be friends with Chris in this alternate universe.
58:02 --> 58:03 [SPEAKER_08]: No, I wouldn't have thought about it.
58:03 --> 58:05 [SPEAKER_08]: And Kia are together in the other universe.
58:07 --> 58:09 [SPEAKER_08]: I bet she hates Chris over there.
58:10 --> 58:14 [SPEAKER_08]: Or because he's probably, like he's probably with KKK dad.
58:14 --> 58:17 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't trust Blue Dragon anymore than White Dragon.
58:18 --> 58:18 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
58:19 --> 58:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
58:21 --> 58:22 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think they're friends.
58:22 --> 58:23 [SPEAKER_05]: I agree with Aaron.
58:23 --> 58:24 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think they're friends.
58:25 --> 58:36 [SPEAKER_05]: Because I think they got to know each other because of the failings, right?
58:37 --> 58:39 [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
58:39 --> 58:48 [SPEAKER_05]: And from what we've just seen, the blimpses that we observe from this alternate universe, peacemakers not failing.
58:49 --> 58:53 [SPEAKER_05]: So he would have no reason to seek these other people out.
58:55 --> 58:57 [SPEAKER_05]: Like his dad is here, his brothers here.
58:57 --> 59:00 [SPEAKER_05]: You know, they have great relationships.
59:01 --> 59:04 [SPEAKER_05]: that he would have no reason to seek other people, these other folks out.
59:04 --> 59:05 [SPEAKER_08]: That's true.
59:05 --> 59:06 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't think so.
59:06 --> 59:07 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think they're friends.
59:09 --> 59:13 [SPEAKER_08]: And maybe that makes him appreciate less that hardcore.
59:15 --> 59:15 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
59:15 --> 59:18 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we have to see why they broke up.
59:19 --> 59:19 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
59:21 --> 59:22 [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
59:22 --> 59:25 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you want to set up the final show down?
59:26 --> 59:27 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's Eglise Turf.
59:28 --> 59:37 [SPEAKER_05]: While Chris is distracted by the reunion with his friends, Flurry sent Leeds his team on a search of his property, looking for the source of the strange, extro dimensional readings.
59:37 --> 59:43 [SPEAKER_05]: Only Flurry and company didn't realize that this is Eglise Rus, and he will suffer no shady break-ins.
59:44 --> 59:46 [SPEAKER_05]: Three of the agents wind up hospitalized.
59:46 --> 59:58 [SPEAKER_05]: Tillerson, aka encinoman with one eye fever, and Florian Klein, aka pony boy, aka barely legal, aka QP doll, walk away to creep another day.
59:59 --> 01:00:02 [SPEAKER_05]: Chris comes home from his party's diagonally drunk.
01:00:03 --> 01:00:09 [SPEAKER_05]: Thanks, Eglico, as this mess in his house, in stumbles to the other dimension, to drunk down the other hardcore.
01:00:10 --> 01:00:13 [SPEAKER_05]: And over here's Argy and Kiesmith talking about this search for Chris.
01:00:14 --> 01:00:15 [SPEAKER_05]: who has been missing for days.
01:00:18 --> 01:00:19 [SPEAKER_05]: The date to black.
01:00:19 --> 01:00:20 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
01:00:21 --> 01:00:24 [SPEAKER_08]: So Chris has some different things.
01:00:24 --> 01:00:31 [SPEAKER_08]: I wonder how well drunk Chris can remember things because he's got to remember he's apparently sleeping with a woman named Karen.
01:00:31 --> 01:00:34 [SPEAKER_08]: So he's got to remember that if he's going to fake it.
01:00:34 --> 01:00:38 [SPEAKER_08]: He has to come up with a story to explain the blood in the library.
01:00:38 --> 01:00:38 [SPEAKER_08]: They were talking about
01:00:39 --> 01:00:53 [SPEAKER_08]: And apparently, he had a, that, uh, dimensions Chris had a pill problem, which sure tracks like we can see Chris has an addictive personality when it comes to substances, but what kind of pills do you think?
01:00:53 --> 01:00:54 [SPEAKER_08]: Like do you think it like steroids?
01:00:54 --> 01:00:56 [SPEAKER_08]: Do you think like uppers downers?
01:00:57 --> 01:00:57 [SPEAKER_05]: Everything.
01:00:58 --> 01:00:58 [SPEAKER_08]: Everything.
01:00:59 --> 01:00:59 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
01:00:59 --> 01:00:59 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
01:01:00 --> 01:01:00 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
01:01:00 --> 01:01:01 [SPEAKER_04]: Our universe is Chris.
01:01:01 --> 01:01:03 [SPEAKER_04]: It's not very discriminating.
01:01:03 --> 01:01:03 [SPEAKER_05]: Do you?
01:01:03 --> 01:01:04 [SPEAKER_05]: I can see it.
01:01:05 --> 01:01:05 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
01:01:05 --> 01:01:06 [SPEAKER_05]: Pop it and everything.
01:01:07 --> 01:01:12 [SPEAKER_08]: What do you think he's what pain is he running from in this universe where he has his dad and his brother?
01:01:13 --> 01:01:15 [SPEAKER_05]: Mom, maybe.
01:01:17 --> 01:01:20 [SPEAKER_08]: Or hide himself to fit with the family?
01:01:20 --> 01:01:22 [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe, maybe not to.
01:01:22 --> 01:01:22 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
01:01:24 --> 01:01:27 [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be interesting to see who this other Chris was.
01:01:28 --> 01:01:31 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, apparently he calls his hardcore media.
01:01:31 --> 01:01:34 [SPEAKER_08]: And so that we got to broken heart emoji from her.
01:01:34 --> 01:01:35 [SPEAKER_08]: So it'll be interesting to see explain.
01:01:35 --> 01:01:35 [SPEAKER_08]: But
01:01:37 --> 01:01:40 [SPEAKER_08]: It seems like there's no Eglie in the other dimension.
01:01:40 --> 01:01:41 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I noticed that too.
01:01:42 --> 01:01:42 [SPEAKER_05]: What's that about?
01:01:42 --> 01:01:44 [SPEAKER_05]: If there's a Eglie.
01:01:45 --> 01:01:47 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't trust a man who doesn't have an eagle.
01:01:49 --> 01:01:51 [SPEAKER_08]: If his name is Chris Smith, aka peacemaker.
01:01:52 --> 01:01:54 [SPEAKER_08]: He needs Eglie to humanize him.
01:01:55 --> 01:01:59 [SPEAKER_05]: Well, what do you need Eglie in that universe if he has his father and brother?
01:02:00 --> 01:02:02 [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, because you always need Eglie.
01:02:02 --> 01:02:03 [SPEAKER_08]: That's the rule.
01:02:07 --> 01:02:09 [SPEAKER_04]: I can't trust the pet for you.
01:02:09 --> 01:02:11 [SPEAKER_08]: I need a flashback also.
01:02:12 --> 01:02:14 [SPEAKER_08]: How did Chris and Eglie come together?
01:02:14 --> 01:02:15 [SPEAKER_08]: This is a story I need to know.
01:02:15 --> 01:02:23 [SPEAKER_08]: Like did he get him like block him from the wild or save him from a reserve like a sanctuary?
01:02:23 --> 01:02:24 [SPEAKER_05]: He probably raised Eglie.
01:02:24 --> 01:02:25 [SPEAKER_05]: That's what I think.
01:02:25 --> 01:02:28 [SPEAKER_05]: The heck can I have that he raised him?
01:02:29 --> 01:02:33 [SPEAKER_08]: He climbed to wherever Egl's lay their eggs in.
01:02:33 --> 01:02:37 [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe he really fell out of the nest.
01:02:38 --> 01:02:42 [SPEAKER_05]: and you found him doing a training with his father in the woods.
01:02:42 --> 01:02:44 [SPEAKER_05]: That's got to have a little cat headcounting about that.
01:02:47 --> 01:02:48 [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
01:02:48 --> 01:02:52 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, any final thoughts on this episode or what is coming?
01:02:53 --> 01:02:54 [SPEAKER_08]: What you hope is coming.
01:02:54 --> 01:02:56 [SPEAKER_08]: Did you guys watch the trailer for next week?
01:02:57 --> 01:02:58 [SPEAKER_04]: I have not.
01:02:59 --> 01:02:59 [SPEAKER_04]: I did.
01:03:00 --> 01:03:04 [SPEAKER_04]: It looks like it's going to be a lot more eventful than this episode.
01:03:04 --> 01:03:06 [SPEAKER_04]: A little quicker moving.
01:03:08 --> 01:03:11 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it seems like it's going to be exploring the other dimension, which makes sense.
01:03:11 --> 01:03:17 [SPEAKER_08]: And then we're getting Michael Roker showing up as Redsame Wilde, the Eagle Hunter.
01:03:17 --> 01:03:22 [SPEAKER_08]: And now I'm like, well, now I understand what they're bringing into the Eagle Hunter.
01:03:22 --> 01:03:29 [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I'm still an equally side, but that's that five sequence between eagle and the agents.
01:03:30 --> 01:03:31 [SPEAKER_05]: That was so well done.
01:03:33 --> 01:03:34 [SPEAKER_05]: You know, because
01:03:36 --> 01:03:37 [SPEAKER_05]: Eagles are big birds, right?
01:03:37 --> 01:03:42 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how big they can get, but Eagles are generally the big birds.
01:03:42 --> 01:03:44 [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think they're the largest bird of prey.
01:03:45 --> 01:03:46 [SPEAKER_05]: But they're big birds.
01:03:47 --> 01:03:48 [SPEAKER_08]: So congratulations.
01:03:48 --> 01:03:50 [SPEAKER_08]: You do not have bird blindness.
01:03:51 --> 01:03:55 [SPEAKER_05]: To see Eglie just swooping in around.
01:03:56 --> 01:03:59 [SPEAKER_05]: and just attacking from above.
01:04:00 --> 01:04:03 [SPEAKER_05]: It was super dope.
01:04:04 --> 01:04:05 [SPEAKER_05]: They did it really well.
01:04:05 --> 01:04:15 [SPEAKER_05]: I can't imagine being in such a confined space and having this fucking bird just coming out of nowhere in the darkness just like,
01:04:16 --> 01:04:18 [SPEAKER_05]: Like what is happening here?
01:04:18 --> 01:04:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Like this is nuts.
01:04:20 --> 01:04:24 [SPEAKER_05]: And then you just shooting blindly, you know, trying to hit the bird.
01:04:24 --> 01:04:25 [SPEAKER_05]: It's like out of the video game.
01:04:26 --> 01:04:27 [SPEAKER_05]: It was just like, it was crazy.
01:04:27 --> 01:04:28 [SPEAKER_05]: That whole sequence was crazy.
01:04:28 --> 01:04:30 [SPEAKER_05]: And I loved every minute of it.
01:04:30 --> 01:04:37 [SPEAKER_05]: And when he went on flurry is outside, he's tending to go to McCallet.
01:04:37 --> 01:04:37 [SPEAKER_05]: And
01:04:40 --> 01:05:02 [SPEAKER_05]: the who got the juggler you said it not me so right and and and she's like no look up it's not over it's really not over and you just to eat the dive bombing flurry I was like oh shit
01:05:03 --> 01:05:15 [SPEAKER_05]: this is crazy like you gotta be a sick mind to imagine all of this you know shenanigans this is just incredible this is incredible this was really well done it was really well done
01:05:16 --> 01:05:22 [SPEAKER_08]: I love my favorite part definitely the walk away at the end with him like coughing up his wings and stuff.
01:05:22 --> 01:05:24 [SPEAKER_05]: I eat these badass.
01:05:24 --> 01:05:25 [SPEAKER_05]: It's crazy.
01:05:25 --> 01:05:30 [SPEAKER_05]: And then just walking back into the house like, yeah, show me the fucking few things or two.
01:05:30 --> 01:05:31 [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
01:05:31 --> 01:05:32 [SPEAKER_05]: It's easy.
01:05:32 --> 01:05:34 [SPEAKER_05]: This is what I do on a daily basis.
01:05:34 --> 01:05:35 [SPEAKER_05]: Don't fuck with me.
01:05:35 --> 01:05:36 [SPEAKER_05]: I won't fuck with you.
01:05:37 --> 01:05:40 [SPEAKER_05]: Yo, this is this eagle is no joke.
01:05:40 --> 01:05:41 [SPEAKER_05]: I got to respect eagle.
01:05:42 --> 01:05:42 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
01:05:43 --> 01:05:49 [SPEAKER_08]: So you think I should not be upset with Chris for leaving Eglie unattended to go in this other universe?
01:05:49 --> 01:05:52 [SPEAKER_05]: I know, but I think Eglie followed him.
01:05:53 --> 01:05:55 [SPEAKER_05]: Because he think it, yeah, because he left the door open.
01:05:55 --> 01:05:56 [SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
01:05:57 --> 01:05:58 [SPEAKER_05]: He then calls the door behind them.
01:05:59 --> 01:06:03 [SPEAKER_05]: So I think Eglie is smart and dumb, but yeah.
01:06:03 --> 01:06:04 [SPEAKER_05]: Right.
01:06:04 --> 01:06:07 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but I think Eglie is smart enough to follow him and calls the door.
01:06:08 --> 01:06:08 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
01:06:09 --> 01:06:15 [SPEAKER_08]: Was wondering also if that's how the rest of the team will get in because they don't know the past go.
01:06:15 --> 01:06:15 [SPEAKER_08]: Do they?
01:06:16 --> 01:06:17 [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, that's true.
01:06:19 --> 01:06:19 [SPEAKER_05]: Good point.
01:06:20 --> 01:06:21 [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe eatly didn't close the door.
01:06:21 --> 01:06:24 [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe eatly will lead them to the door.
01:06:24 --> 01:06:25 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
01:06:25 --> 01:06:27 [SPEAKER_08]: To the right door to the other.
01:06:27 --> 01:06:27 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
01:06:27 --> 01:06:27 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
01:06:27 --> 01:06:28 [SPEAKER_05]: Other dimension.
01:06:29 --> 01:06:29 [SPEAKER_08]: That makes sense.
01:06:29 --> 01:06:30 [SPEAKER_08]: That makes sense.
01:06:30 --> 01:06:30 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
01:06:32 --> 01:06:35 [SPEAKER_05]: Because I was just like, why close the door do close the door behind you?
01:06:35 --> 01:06:36 [SPEAKER_05]: Right.
01:06:37 --> 01:06:40 [SPEAKER_05]: You know, like you said, he's not real smart, this Chris.
01:06:41 --> 01:06:44 [SPEAKER_05]: So it'll be interesting to see if the other Chris is smarter.
01:06:45 --> 01:06:45 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
01:06:45 --> 01:06:55 [SPEAKER_08]: He seems like, um, not that this is anything to do with intelligence, but he seems, uh, stylized, designed after the Jersey Shore TV show aesthetic.
01:06:58 --> 01:07:01 [SPEAKER_08]: in terms of the shirts and the chains and the leopard print.
01:07:02 --> 01:07:03 [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, I like leopard print.
01:07:03 --> 01:07:04 [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
01:07:05 --> 01:07:05 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not dissing it.
01:07:07 --> 01:07:10 [SPEAKER_05]: But he also seemed to have more of a bro.
01:07:10 --> 01:07:18 [SPEAKER_05]: But he seemed to have a super grasp on his heroing in a way, Chris is just like, I'm going to shoot you up.
01:07:18 --> 01:07:18 [SPEAKER_05]: Mom, mom, mom.
01:07:19 --> 01:07:21 [SPEAKER_05]: The other Chris was like, magic.
01:07:22 --> 01:07:25 [SPEAKER_05]: Good, called them magic, whatever, throwing stars.
01:07:26 --> 01:07:34 [SPEAKER_05]: And then, you know, it seemed like he was working with the technology in a way that we haven't seen our Chris work with the technology.
01:07:35 --> 01:07:44 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, of which makes sense, given that his father was trained him rather than just saying like there's some helmets, kill yourself or don't, whatever.
01:07:44 --> 01:07:45 [SPEAKER_05]: Right, right.
01:07:46 --> 01:07:50 [SPEAKER_05]: So it's gonna be how quickly did they realize
01:07:51 --> 01:07:52 [SPEAKER_05]: That's not their Chris.
01:07:54 --> 01:08:05 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think he's going to like say something that's going to alert them something where he doesn't realize that he has to lie about who he is in certain ways and he's going to mess up.
01:08:06 --> 01:08:10 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm wonder if we'll meet Karen, the woman he's apparently sleeping with.
01:08:12 --> 01:08:13 [SPEAKER_04]: It's very possible.
01:08:13 --> 01:08:15 [SPEAKER_08]: Erin, do you have any final thoughts in the episode?
01:08:16 --> 01:08:18 [SPEAKER_04]: I want to go back to
01:08:19 --> 01:08:22 [SPEAKER_04]: the discussion on if anyone is going to be able to get into that door.
01:08:22 --> 01:08:33 [SPEAKER_04]: I think that now that vigilante has been in there, I think he's the type of guy who while Chris is putting in that code, he's paying very close attention in case he ever needs to get in there.
01:08:34 --> 01:08:40 [SPEAKER_04]: So if anyone is asked to bring the rest of the crew in there to rescue Chris, it would definitely be vigilante.
01:08:40 --> 01:08:41 [SPEAKER_04]: That's a good point.
01:08:42 --> 01:08:42 [SPEAKER_08]: That makes sense.
01:08:43 --> 01:08:43 [SPEAKER_08]: I can see that.
01:08:43 --> 01:08:44 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
01:08:45 --> 01:08:50 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but I did, I mean, do we think who do we think is going to go through the door first?
01:08:50 --> 01:08:53 [SPEAKER_08]: Chris is friends or Rick Flag?
01:08:54 --> 01:08:55 [SPEAKER_05]: Friends.
01:08:56 --> 01:08:57 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I hope so.
01:08:58 --> 01:08:59 [SPEAKER_08]: They better shut the door behind them.
01:09:01 --> 01:09:04 [SPEAKER_05]: Because they don't, I just doesn't know about the door, right?
01:09:04 --> 01:09:05 [SPEAKER_08]: No, not specifically.
01:09:05 --> 01:09:06 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
01:09:06 --> 01:09:09 [SPEAKER_05]: The guy who took the the readings of the door is dead, no?
01:09:11 --> 01:09:11 [SPEAKER_08]: Hmm.
01:09:12 --> 01:09:12 [SPEAKER_05]: And then his thing.
01:09:12 --> 01:09:13 [SPEAKER_08]: Wait, he's not dead, is he?
01:09:14 --> 01:09:15 [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think that's the one.
01:09:15 --> 01:09:17 [SPEAKER_08]: He's in the hospital, I think.
01:09:17 --> 01:09:18 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, he lost his eye, right?
01:09:19 --> 01:09:19 [SPEAKER_08]: But that doesn't kill him.
01:09:21 --> 01:09:24 [SPEAKER_08]: Was that him who did the readings of the door in Sino-Man?
01:09:25 --> 01:09:26 [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
01:09:26 --> 01:09:26 [SPEAKER_05]: Nothing is dead.
01:09:26 --> 01:09:28 [SPEAKER_05]: I thought it was dead.
01:09:30 --> 01:09:31 [SPEAKER_08]: I thought, I mean, I don't know.
01:09:31 --> 01:09:40 [SPEAKER_08]: I guess also I'm influenced by the podcast where it sounded like they're in the hospital, the other three, but I didn't think they were dead.
01:09:41 --> 01:09:42 [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, that's what I took away as well.
01:09:43 --> 01:09:46 [SPEAKER_08]: But yeah, Tillerson's definitely down an eye.
01:09:47 --> 01:09:48 [SPEAKER_08]: We'll be happy about that.
01:09:50 --> 01:09:53 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, we've got six more episodes coming this season.
01:09:53 --> 01:09:55 [SPEAKER_08]: We'll be doing our weekly coverage.
01:09:56 --> 01:10:02 [SPEAKER_08]: The episodes drop on HBO Max Thursday evenings in the US or Fridays in most of the rest of the world.
01:10:03 --> 01:10:07 [SPEAKER_08]: We don't have screeners so look out for episodes on Sundays.
01:10:08 --> 01:10:17 [SPEAKER_08]: Next week's title is Another Rick Up My Sleep, which has me, I guess, rather than Rick coming through, what's the Rick in the other universe going to be?
01:10:17 --> 01:10:19 [SPEAKER_05]: Right, right.
01:10:21 --> 01:10:32 [SPEAKER_08]: because it's also speculating what if the quote unquote jarhead that, um, okay, I'm speculating what if the jarhead that, uh, hardcore is dating is rick flag juniors.
01:10:32 --> 01:10:34 [SPEAKER_08]: What if it's rick flag senior?
01:10:35 --> 01:10:35 [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, gosh.
01:10:37 --> 01:10:38 [SPEAKER_05]: That would be so fucked up.
01:10:39 --> 01:10:39 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
01:10:40 --> 01:10:41 [SPEAKER_05]: Either one is going to be fucked up.
01:10:41 --> 01:10:42 [SPEAKER_05]: Either one is going to be fucked up.
01:10:44 --> 01:10:44 [SPEAKER_05]: Senior or junior.
01:10:46 --> 01:10:46 [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
01:10:46 --> 01:10:46 [SPEAKER_08]: Mm-hmm.
01:10:48 --> 01:10:49 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, all right.
01:10:49 --> 01:10:55 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, if you want to know why it's fucked up, also check out our recent Superman coverage and feature commandos coverage.
01:10:55 --> 01:11:01 [SPEAKER_08]: You'll find those linked in the show notes and Marvel fans recent iron hard fantastic for first steps.
01:11:01 --> 01:11:03 [SPEAKER_08]: We are doing Isabel Kanda this week.
01:11:03 --> 01:11:11 [SPEAKER_08]: I think hopefully hopefully hopefully hopefully and we'll be back for Marvel zombies in October.
01:11:11 --> 01:11:13 [SPEAKER_08]: Wonderman in December.
01:11:14 --> 01:11:17 [SPEAKER_08]: What's going on on radio active ramlings remind us all?
01:11:18 --> 01:11:21 [SPEAKER_04]: We are currently getting ready for GenV.
01:11:21 --> 01:11:23 [SPEAKER_04]: They have a new season coming out and about.
01:11:24 --> 01:11:25 [SPEAKER_04]: two weeks or so.
01:11:26 --> 01:11:30 [SPEAKER_04]: And until then, we are, we've put out a few Fallout lore episodes.
01:11:31 --> 01:11:33 [SPEAKER_04]: Get ready for that show coming out in December.
01:11:33 --> 01:11:39 [SPEAKER_04]: And at some point, we will be back with the second red rising book.
01:11:39 --> 01:11:49 [SPEAKER_04]: So that's something to look forward to, although I've been kind of bugging Richard to maybe do a Brandon Sanderson Cosmere book club instead of a red rising book.
01:11:49 --> 01:11:50 [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
01:11:50 --> 01:11:50 [SPEAKER_08]: Why?
01:11:50 --> 01:11:51 [SPEAKER_08]: Why switching ship?
01:11:53 --> 01:11:56 [SPEAKER_04]: I've been really into the Cosmere books.
01:11:56 --> 01:12:01 [SPEAKER_04]: I started them in May and I've just been absolutely blowing through them.
01:12:01 --> 01:12:04 [SPEAKER_04]: I can't remember the last time I was reading a book series this quickly.
01:12:04 --> 01:12:07 [SPEAKER_04]: So I just want to talk about it all the time.
01:12:08 --> 01:12:11 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, so that's a big wheel of time fan.
01:12:11 --> 01:12:12 [SPEAKER_08]: It is known.
01:12:13 --> 01:12:18 [SPEAKER_08]: And Brandon Tennerson famously finished the Wheel of Time after Robert Jordan passed away.
01:12:19 --> 01:12:22 [SPEAKER_08]: And those are the only Brandon Tennerson books that I've read.
01:12:23 --> 01:12:27 [SPEAKER_08]: A lot of people in the Wheel of Time community are really into Cosmere.
01:12:27 --> 01:12:28 [SPEAKER_08]: And it's just one of those ones.
01:12:29 --> 01:12:33 [SPEAKER_08]: It's also like, like, John and others working on me about one piece.
01:12:33 --> 01:12:36 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm like, but there's just so much.
01:12:36 --> 01:12:43 [SPEAKER_04]: There really is read that first Mistborn book and you'll never turn back on it though.
01:12:43 --> 01:12:45 [SPEAKER_04]: You'll never be able to go back.
01:12:45 --> 01:12:47 [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that's kind of whatever afraid of.
01:12:47 --> 01:12:51 [SPEAKER_08]: It's like I just get sucked in and then I lose months.
01:12:53 --> 01:12:54 [SPEAKER_04]: Well, the guarantee.
01:12:55 --> 01:13:06 [SPEAKER_08]: I'm looking forward to all of your coverage, especially Gen V. I really I kind of liked Gen V better than the most recent season of the boys first.
01:13:06 --> 01:13:08 [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think that's a popular sentiment.
01:13:08 --> 01:13:10 [SPEAKER_04]: I think it has a lot more heart.
01:13:11 --> 01:13:13 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's exactly why I like heart.
01:13:14 --> 01:13:15 [SPEAKER_08]: And that's why I like the show too.
01:13:17 --> 01:13:22 [SPEAKER_08]: Well, if you want to learn about music in mind, check out Nevermind the music.
01:13:24 --> 01:13:25 [SPEAKER_08]: Check out properly Howard.
01:13:26 --> 01:13:30 [SPEAKER_08]: They just did an episode about the new movie with friendship.
01:13:30 --> 01:13:34 [SPEAKER_08]: I still need to catch up on the notes and movie that I really want to watch hopefully this week.
01:13:35 --> 01:13:46 [SPEAKER_08]: We'll shift dust, do no book coverage and the Star Wars Ken and Timeline podcast coming back soon with a hybrid public coverage and setting up for subscribers.
01:13:47 --> 01:14:03 [SPEAKER_08]: We're getting Star Wars visions season three coming up in October and we're going to have three sequels there and some are connected to some comics and books and future shows and things like that so I'm going to be putting out some special episodes explaining all that for.
01:14:04 --> 01:14:10 [SPEAKER_08]: People on the Star Wars Ken and Timeline podcast, Ken and Patawan, subscription feed.
01:14:10 --> 01:14:11 [SPEAKER_08]: That's a lot of words.
01:14:13 --> 01:14:18 [SPEAKER_08]: Also on the main feed, what's going on, Sean, on the main, Laura Hounds feed?
01:14:18 --> 01:14:20 [SPEAKER_05]: Um, let's see.
01:14:21 --> 01:14:24 [SPEAKER_05]: We have foundation season three coverage with John and Marilyn.
01:14:25 --> 01:14:26 [SPEAKER_05]: I'm really digging this season.
01:14:27 --> 01:14:32 [SPEAKER_05]: Personally, I've never just been really helpful for me because I am, you know,
01:14:33 --> 01:14:37 [SPEAKER_05]: continually amazed at the knowledge that they both share around this IP.
01:14:37 --> 01:14:40 [SPEAKER_05]: And this is really, makes for good combo.
01:14:41 --> 01:14:49 [SPEAKER_05]: But again, I strongly recommend foundation season three and listening to the pods as well.
01:14:50 --> 01:14:53 [SPEAKER_05]: David is leading weekly coverage of Alien Earth.
01:14:53 --> 01:14:57 [SPEAKER_05]: Again, strongly recommend that you watch Alien Earth and you listen to the pods.
01:14:58 --> 01:15:00 [SPEAKER_05]: And I had to comment
01:15:02 --> 01:15:06 [SPEAKER_05]: after that three-hour pod, like low-hounds back in effect.
01:15:06 --> 01:15:07 [SPEAKER_05]: Some are over, you know what I'm saying?
01:15:08 --> 01:15:09 [SPEAKER_05]: I know it's Labor Day weekend.
01:15:09 --> 01:15:09 [SPEAKER_05]: Some are done.
01:15:10 --> 01:15:10 [SPEAKER_05]: We're done.
01:15:10 --> 01:15:11 [SPEAKER_05]: It's back.
01:15:11 --> 01:15:12 [SPEAKER_05]: Three-hour pods.
01:15:12 --> 01:15:12 [SPEAKER_05]: Let's go.
01:15:12 --> 01:15:26 [SPEAKER_05]: You know, so gilded age, which I haven't watched personally, but I know a lot of people in our circle, all the lower-hounds, everybody on Discord, who we really love this program.
01:15:26 --> 01:15:29 [SPEAKER_05]: So give it a go, because I'm gonna give it a go eventually.
01:15:30 --> 01:15:34 [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, no, I definitely recommend the Gilded Age for anyone.
01:15:34 --> 01:15:47 [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, of course, it's like about costume drama in history, but just also exploring new areas of American history that you might not think of, including the role of the black elite in New York City at the time.
01:15:47 --> 01:15:55 [SPEAKER_08]: And the woman who helped to build the Brooklyn Bridge and just, yeah, all this interesting stuff with
01:15:56 --> 01:15:56 [SPEAKER_08]: a lot to fund drama.
